An old-fashioned crime novel, usually my favourite kind but it didn’t quite work for me. The characters were a little odd and the ending was too sudden and too rushed.

Miss Melinda Pink, as a writer, is rree to travel. In this adventure, she is in Scotland when two people are murdered amidst other odd happenings.

The Miss Pink mysteries, although published in the 1980's, read like they were written several decades earlier. Gwen Moffat, herself a professional climber no stranger to adventure, sets each mystery in different areas of the world's remote and beautiful places then wraps a mystery around each one. In this case it was only moderately successful.
