A family becomes prisoners in their own home as a panther terrorizes them to the point of insanity. Become a witness to this dreadful tale as it unfolds before you and discover the shocking truth behind the Beast
Originally from Ohio, I now reside in Texas with my folks and little sister. I'm a born again Christian and I want to give all the glory to God.
I love writing! I tend to lean toward suspense, thrillers, the occasional wholesome Christmas story and "what if" scenarios. Such as what if you were to check out a library book and someone unknowingly left a document in the pages that contained life-altering secrets concerning the government. That sort of thing.
Aside from writing, I'm always reading. I love the classics, historical fiction, adventures, survival, fairy-tale retellings, suspense, and any and all things Newsie related.
I very much enjoy plays and musicals, embroidery, road trip adventures with the fam, retro arcade games, and board games. I'm also very interested in weaponry (archery, swordsmanship, etc).
2.5 stars & 3/10 hearts. I’m honestly not sure what to say about this book. As I read it, I was torn between the enjoyment of a survival story and wondering in great irritation WHY UNDER THE CANOPY they didn’t call some, explain their predicament in extreme detail, and have the beast shot or captured or what have you. Why on earth did everyone just let them disappear? And all the people that died? I also was very upset at the deaths and that nothing was done about that. What about diseases??
When I finally discovered what was happening I was disgusted. What evilness!
Overall, I personally didn’t enjoy this story, but I’m interested in reading more of the author, and I’m positive I’ll enjoy other works of hers—this one just wasn’t my cup of tea. Like I said, though, the survival part was fun.
Content: unfaithful spouse kissing someone while married & planning to run away with said person + abandon kids.
*4.5 ~I'd like to thank the author for sending me a free copy of this awesome book in exchange for my honest review!~ Wow, this was such a ride. It was action-packed, and the ending... just.... I don't know what to say. It was awesome! I will be pondering it all of time XD This book is a short read- but packed to the brim with action and suspense- and has very short chapters, which makes for an easy read. I definitely recommend this book for that short, summer thriller you've been looking for! ~Full Review To Come~
Another will written horror haunting paranormal family relationship adventure thriller short story by Virginia Henderson. George is at the zoo yelling at the cage with the black panther. He is arrested and appears before the judge where he tells a story of being trapped in his home for two years by a black panther. Or was he? I would highly recommend this novella to anyone looking for a quick horror read. Enjoy the adventure of reading or listening to books 📚. 2022 😢👒😈
This short story was brutal (Literally. People die horribly). I didn't enjoy the brutality, but I did appreciate how well the story was told, even though it could use some prose polishing in spots. The sensory detail was especially excellent.
I did often find myself questioning the characters' choices, but I can relegate that to horror tropes for the most part, and something I'll not say here because it would be a spoiler.
The story is about a man and his family terrorized by a panther. The story started out believable until little inconsistencies pop up. Then you start to wonder is the Beast all in his mind. You won't know until the end. I'd give it a full 5 if it had better editing. Otherwise, i enjoyed reading it.
