This is a book far into a series.

I'm not the target audience but I did find that this could be potentially confusing. There are a lot of characters for a reader to take in in a short tale. Some are only mentioned but I had to read certain parts more than once to understand who was who in some of the scenes.

Probably not something a young reader should attempt as a stand alone. Maybe not enough to keep a young reader interested in the series too.

A super-fast and super-fun read. Though it was simple and silly and predictable, this was a great magical adventure.
