Australian Special Forces commander Matt Rix in another action packed adventure.

Disgraced and discarded, Australian Special Forces Captain Matt Rix is no stranger to having the deck stacked against him; and just when it seemed things couldn't get any worse he is given an ultimatum that brings the heavens crashing down around him. What follows is the frantic pursuit of Faisal Khan, the recently escaped, ingenious Taliban Commander who has taken receipt of a deadly weapon of mass destruction. Chasing Khan across Turkey would be the easy part; stopping the weapon from falling into the hands of any number of organizations, hell bent on securing it for their own devious plans, that's going to be the hard part.

An action packed plot, that is hard to put down. "Off Reservation", the new special forces novel by Bram Connolly, is the NEW must read in the action thriller genre. Join Matt Rix, the Australian Special Forces Captain on his latest adventure in an off the books mission, taking on weapons of war that could lead to mass destruction, particularly if this weapon falls in the hands of an enemy!

"Off Reservation" is a 5 star read for many reasons including:
*The formation of Matt Rix as the lead character makes the book a success. Basing his character on personal experience, Bram Connolly has created a hero that all readers will want to follow. With a rough exterior and steady determination to set things right, Matt Rix is definitely a character that is "moorish"!
*Bram Connolly has based both plot and lead character on his life experience. His knowledge of everything to do with missions for the special forces is easy to be seen once the exhilarating new mission begins. With specifics on everything from helicopters, strategy, weapons, and all sorts of equipment, including the details of night vision goggles, makes the mission feel all the more real. Plus Bram's attention to detailing codes and all facets of the mission brings the book to a whole new level.
*From the front page, with a male with his back turned and a narrative that details the pulse of the plot, to the first mission to capture hostages, to the new mission to stop a psychopath getting his hands on a very destructive weapon, the new novel "Off Reservation" is a total success.

I recommend "Off Reservation" by Bram Connolly to all readers who enjoy a high energy action packed plot, with a likable hero. Being a female reader, this book would not have been something I would have automatically picked as a first choice, but I am glad I won the competition. It has opened my world up to a whole new genre, and a brilliant new writer.

Off Reservation was another intense read from author Bram Connolly, with a few extra characters amongst the already known cast, adding to a story that was action-packed with a hint of smexy for us romantics at heart. I could not wait to read this novel, having already read Mr Connolly's The Fighting Season, I was waiting with high anticipation to see what would occur for his Matt Rix's character. No disappointment here, I could not help but be drawn to Rix's character again. Just when you think you have the story figured out, the author throws in a few left turns, having views of the story and the happenings within turned upside down, while continuing to turn each page with haste for what was to happen next in the story. I could rant and rave about the book, but I do not want to give any of this story away. There were likeable characters, with some antagonists throughout the story, and a few graphic moments revealed in chapters. An unmissable read and well worth the wait. Off Reservation by Bram Connelly is another novel for my fave reads list.

Another excellent novel from Connolly. Matt Rix takes us to Turkey where he's gone 'off-reservation' and is on a mission to hunt a familiar enemy. But when the British military become embroiled in the same mission, things quickly become complicated and dangerous for Rix. Just when I thought things were going in the right direction, the story takes a few twists and turns that kept me firmly on the edge of my seat. I really enjoyed the adventure and recommend this book highly to anyone who enjoys some ripsnorting, action-packed, fast-paced storytelling by an author who's been there and done it for real.

I picked this up straight away after 'Fighting Season'. I couldn't put it down. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is I really didn't like the ending. What happened?? I need closure now... please write another one as I really didn't need to be left out to dry like that!

I absolutely loved Matt Rix's 'take no crap' character. This book kept me entertained right from the first word. I didn't want to put it down. The characters were written fantastically, the storyline, wasn't fast paced but moved at a good speed for the story.
