Liquid Handcuffs: life as a pharmaceutical poster child

Rate this book
This is a story of the differences between being an addict, and having an addiction. It is about the monumental differences between an illegal recreational drug, of which a college kid may partake, and which will ultimately cause no harm to mind or body, and the types of drugs, legally prescribed, which quite insidiously, alter one's mind and body, often permanently. It is about building a successful life, not realizing that true success must not come with a pill attached. Mostly, it is about becoming a functioning pharmaceutical poster child (one of millions, judging from drug company sales of narcotics), in the throes and depths of a legal drug addiction.
