About the author

Steve Tanner is a writer based in Birmingham, UK. He's the face behind Time Bomb Comics, an indie comics publisher that has become a mainstay within the British comics community since it began publishing in 2007. Time Bomb has published a wide and diverse range of titles with a wide range of creators.

Over the last few years he's probably become best known for devising and writing Flintlock, an ongoing anthology adventure series set entirely in the 18th Century, and for running several successful pre-order campaigns through Kickstarter.

This is the second installment in this anthology of tales set in the 18th century. For a comic book that I have enjoyed so much, it is hard to say but totally true that one of the aspects of this that I love so much is The Chirurgery. This section is a non-fiction write up of some related aspect of the stories.

But the comics are great too. Strong characters, interesting perspectives and/or twists on the standard fare proffered, and thoroughly good fun. The stories vary in their levels of seriousness, however, there is no fluff here.
