Tricia Daniels lives in a small town in Southern Ontario, Canada, where she raised three kids as a single parent. Creativity and imagination is something there is never a short supply of in her home. Between her quick wit and wicked sense of humor she found that she has a passion for writing steamy romance novels. Her goal is simple, tell her story, warm a few hearts, shed a few tears, share a silent chuckle, and occasionally, make people blush.
That's the official version. But the simple truth is... I'm just a normal woman, struggling to pay the bills and trying to raise my kids in a home where they feel empowered, supported and loved. I'd like to say that the story came to me with a gentle persuasion...but oh no! This story hit me like a full on tackle from behind and there were no foul flags thrown by the referee. Here's a little something unusual about me, well at least I think so... I'm not an author. My friends laugh when I say that. I have never aspired to write the next great love story or take the literary world by storm. I'm just a girl, who woke up from a dream with characters, scenes and a story in my head that was tied to such powerful emotions I couldn't settle until I wrote them down to get them out of my brain. This story would have never been shared with any of you if it wasn't for very good friends, who continue to try and convince me that I have a gift. Who knew? Definitely not me.

Favorite Quotes:

I used to spend more time with my friend, Jen. Raising three boys on my own made it difficult both time wise and financially, so those times eventually faded away. Like my sex life and my sanity; as well as the ability to squeeze my ass into a size ten anything.

Hey, we all have baggage. When you meet someone you want to be with, you talk to each other, and you help each other downsize that full-size baggage into carry-on size.

There’s a moment in a girl’s life when she realizes… This is it. He’s the one. The moment when time stands still, and everything goes quiet, except for the sound of two souls coming together and celebrating. For me that moment occurs under the soft glow of the front porch light, in the front seat of a Chevy Camaro ZL1.

My Review:

Refusing To Expire was an engaging, cleverly written, and highly amusing delight. I was immediately invested in the story and enjoyed the premise, snarky humor, and steamy sensual scenes as I smirked my way through Ms. Daniels’ entertaining and colorfully embellished tale. The characters were vibrantly detailed, endearingly flawed, and fully fleshed out. Alongside the wit and humor were emotive undercurrents and observant insights. During the couple’s graveyard visit to check on Victoria’s father I may have felt my black heart being squeezed and well, okay, it may have beat a bit harder than usual while my eyes felt a bit blurry, and maybe they even leaked a bit of some strange fluid. However, I will never be able to recall tumbleweeds or Nair in the same manner ever again, these items are now ruined and will forever incite a naughty smirk to crease my face. Sigh, Ms. Daniels has word voodoo and a new fangirl.

Tori is a single mom of 3 almost grown boys, who has decided after 10 years, she is ready to put herself out there again. This is not easy when the last man she loved stripped her of her self esteem and worth. Luckily she has her best friend Jen to push her along gently. Unfortunately she seems to be stuck in a pattern picking the wrong type of guy. When Roger contacts her out of the blue, she is a little discouraged and unsure how to proceeds. Deciding to give things one last try, she agrees to meet him.

Roger is a loving single dad to 7 year old Molly who keeps him more than busy. Roger is clearly looking for a companion, someone to spend time with. I love that Roger seems to not have much filter, he says what he thinks and worries about the fall out after. He quickly decided that he wants to know Tori more and it not willing to let her push him away, but will he be able to get his daughter on board?

Will Victoria let Roger in or will her mind overrule what her heart is feeling. It is apparent that she struggles with her feelings and getting too close to men. Can Roger help her past those insecurities and convince her to give him a chance as he refuses to expire. Could this be the beginning of something very much deserved for them both?

Tricia does a great job of adding humor and whit into a story that has the potential to be sad and soul searching. She had me wanting to read more, needing to know what was going to happen. I was worried Victoria was going to push Roger him away and let her insecurities win. What a wonderful love story.

The events of the past can easily shape our future if we let it. But everyone is worthy of love we just need to believe. Thank you for the emotional ride.

Have you ever read a book and a light goes off and you think.... " This is what I NEEDED to read right now?"
Well Refusing to expire is exactly that kind of book. No Billionaires, No extra unneeded plot twists that make you want to quit reading the book. NO This book it Magnificent!!! It's REAL, Tori is a mother of 3 almost grown boys struggling work and her boys on her own. She loves her job and her children, but she thinks she is ready to put herself out there and try again. We see her struggle with the online dating scene and I laughed out loud so much my sides ached.
Roger......... Roger, Roger, Roger!!!! LOVE him and his dirty mouth and inability to have a filter!! absolutely LOVED him. Roger is a single father struggling to find himself as well and I felt his pain and frustration as well.
I went through SO many emotions while reading this book. I yelled at the character like they could actually hear me..... I wanted to crawl inside and smash some skulls together. I TOTALLY cried Happy, Sad, and frustrated tears throughout the entire book.
This book will stay with me because it gives me hope, hope that someday I will be ready to Refuse to Expire!!!!!

Laugh out loud funny, cry and weep moments and omg this isn't happening. Refusing to expire will have you stuck in the pages to see if Tori can find love online. Roger is a bit slow in the contacting but he more then makes up for it in the relationship. With emotional excess baggage they both have to find a way to love again and find the balance between past and new.

I have read everything Tricia Daniels has published and loved every word. Refusing to Expire is radically different than her Bound4Ireland series, but in the best way. This book shows the humorous, quirky side of Ms. Daniels writing. Her prose flow off the page and wrap the reader in the action and emotion of the story. While this book is primarily a rom/com there are a few deeply touching scenes that make the reader stop and regroup.
Tori is "every woman" she works too hard, plays to little, and her self-esteem is in the dumpster. A single mother for the last ten, lonely years, online dating has been more than a bust for her. Her dates tend to disappear around the third date. Giving up and deleting her profile, she is surprised when Roger texts her out of the blue. What follows is a heartfelt romance with more than a few laugh out loud parts. There were tears running everywhere as I was reading from laughing so hard. Roger is the perfect book boyfriend, kind and caring, with just enough protective alpha to make a woman feel appreciated and loved. However, his daughter is not a fan of the new woman in Daddy's life, while Tori's three boys tend to accept Roger as the book progresses.
This book shows the wide range of styles Ms. Daniels is capable of: serious and heartbreaking to wistful and hilarious. I'm hoping there are more books like this in her mind because Refusing to Expire is a great read and left me wanting more.

I liked this book, because the characters could have been my friends/neighbors.

Tori is a single mom of 3 boys, she is dating or something like that. The men just don't seem that interested in her and are stringing her along. Tori's had enough and is done. Then she gets a text that makes her stop and take notice. Will this guy be the same and expire before it goes anywhere?

Roget is a single dad to Molly, a stubborn little girl who doesn't like anyone but her dad. Roger pursue's Tori. He goes slow, he takes the time to learn her and get to know her before anything physical happens. Things are going along fine, but when a hiccup occurs Tori walks away, before he can walk away from her. But is that what she wants? What about him? Did he want to expire?

This is a short book about adults learning how to accept and love. Forgive and forget. I enjoyed it because they were adults and not twenty-something that had insta love. Roger and Tori worked for it, they had bumps on the way, but nothing major.

This is one of them books you feel sad when it's finished, even though there is an HEA.

Tori is in her 30's - yay an older leading lady <3 - well she is divorced and trying to get back on the dating market via online dating....... OK, I've never used dating sites myself but know plenty have and the joys and disasters that come from this - the author paints a humorous slant to Tori's attempts, OMG thank god 'daddy' fizzled out.

Roger, who is he, his a man trying to get his life straight and looking for some love - he's so sweet, chivalrous and yes when a chance comes up talks dirty 💜.

“I don’t care about coming. I just want to be inside you right now.” He throws the covers off and begins to climb over me. “But first I have to take a leak.” “Now there’s a romantic segue.”

So these two meet and get on so well, you will be willing them to pull together, they both have baggage and that makes things tricky but one thing is for sure Roger is a keeper.

His favorite song comes on the radio, and he turns up the volume until the rearview mirror vibrates. I love that he sings to me. He couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket, if his life depended on it, but it’s the most beautiful music to me.

As a book boyfriend - Roger is pretty perfect, he's a single dad and still learning to cope but he is a warm, caring, sexy man with a touch of alpha that adds to his book boyfriend rating!

This is a story that will make you smile, you will enjoy the journey Roger and Tori take. I loved it. I found the characthers very relatable and totally likable! I felt like reading it again as soon as finished it!

I have to blame you Ms. Daniels for me reading well into the night, who needs sleep anyway, right? When I took this book with the intention of reading a few pages before turning in for the night, I didn't realize it will be so entertaining that I will not put it down till I turned the last page.

A great story I can really relate to. It is so REAL! Loved the chemistry between Victoria and Roger, their easy banter that most times made laugh out loud. The intimate scene were so beautiful and HAWT. My heart was breaking when I thought that they might not make it, I wanted to hug them both and whisper to not give up. There is some family drama, also tension that comes having teenagers and kids in general. A great ending that left me with a smile on my face and content that they both got their 2nd chance to HEA.

Life is too short to hold onto grudges...
Trust... a word not taken lightly in this very realistic, down to earth romance between two adults who carry a load of ugly baggage from their past which is threatening to poison their future. Locking things up inside and building up walls seems like the only form of survival... but what happens when true feelings are let loose? Can they be acknowledged or will they be smothered so as not to appear vulnerable? A love story about giving love... true love a chance... even if it does come a little later than expected in life. 5 Stars for a love story which is worth sharing with the world!

An Emotionally Powerful Romance!

I love that Tori and Roger were both well over the age of thirty, still hopeful of finding love while dealing with their children, time consuming jobs, and wounds left by their previous spouses and lovers. I found myself constantly shaking my head at some of Tori's interactions with her teenage sons, and the scene detailing Roger's young daughter Molly's devastating last encounter with her mother, absolutely broke my heart. Refusing To Expire will grab hold of your mind and your heartstrings from page one and have you wishing the story never had to end.

Have you ever read a book that completely sucks you in and then all of a sudden it's 12.03am and you've finished it? Well that happened with Refusing to Expire. This was such a light hearted read with quite a few funny moments too AND one of my all time fav sayings is used within
Every character is relatable, every emotion is real, every laugh is warranted. You connect with each and every one of them and you feel the emotions that they feel.
I highly recommend this book from Tricia Daniels....and all her other stuff too

This was real. This was the first seasoned romance I've read that was truly real. Single mother with real challenges, 3 teenage boys and a brutal past. He has a young daughter, isn't good on social media and they both find each other through a dating app.
I was actually relieved to read this book because it wasn't an escape, like most contemporary stories are for me. This could actually happen in real life. It was short so there were probably some loose ends for some readers but what a freaking relief to read a really real seasoned romance.

Wow! Love love love

I absolutely love Refusing To Expire! Between the banter of Victoria and Roger, along with her teenage sons, what's not to love about this story I could not put my kindle down. Read straight through. As we all have certain doubts about our lives and loves, J. Daniels puts a comedic spins on the rollercoaster ride of dating again and trying to blend lives together. I actually got out a map and looked at all the towns. This is a must read..💖💖💖💖💖

Tricia Daniels has written a sweet, sometimes erotic, book with so many truisms about dating as a single parent. As a single mom, I could relate to the whole online dating portion of this book and about juggling work, raising kids with little support, and an attempt at romance - all of which are far from easy!
Refusing to Expire is a well-written book that many women and men can relate to. Divorced or not.

loved it!

I really liked this book. It took me awhile to read, but I kind of planned on that. It’s a slow burn romance with just enough steam. Both main characters are single parents who have been hurt by past lovers.

Roger and Victoria never thought they’d find someone like the other, but now that they have, they must balance parenthood with romance. Not to mention their kids have their own problems that threaten to tear them apart.

Where do I even begin with this? I've pretty much read every genre you can. Though I have to say recently romantic comedy has fast become one of my faves.
Refusing to Expire is a freakin hilarious yet sweet book following the life of Tori Campbell and her journey out of singlehood and into a relationship.
Roger Ford is an extremely funny and sweet man who does his best to win Tori over.

You have got to pick this book up. If you don't laugh yourself silly then you will for sure be sucked into to love story that's being told.
One of my faves right here!!!
