Finding a bouquet of flowers and a dead body in her deli on Mother's Day was not what Moira Darling was expecting. The door was unlocked, the alarm was off and the dead man is not anyone she can identify. Moira also discovers that she has a stalker who is taking photos of her at work and at home. The murder investigation seems to be stalled and Moira is on edge, not sure what will happen next. When a man is arrested at her house, things start to fall into place but there are still twists and turns that will surprise you all the way to the final reveal. Another well done entry in this entertaining series that has great murder plots, fantastic food, wonderful pets and more!

Mother’s Day finds Moira at the deli to prepare for the day. She has given her employees the day off to spend time with their own mothers and looks forward to her afternoon with her family. When she arrives at the deli she finds the door unlocked and the alarm is off. While she is mildly bothered she is sure someone was simply careless the previous afternoon. As she enters the kitchen she is greeted by a bouquet of flowers. Assuming they are from Candice she moves on to the dining room. It is there she discovers a stranger slumped behind the counter. The police are quickly called and Moira leaves the restaurant to prevent contaminating the crime scene any further. She has sadly been a part of too many investigations. The restaurant must be closed while the police carefully comb the scene. Moira finds herself with nothing to do and finds herself wonder more about the dead man, a stranger to everyone. The police quickly determine a connection between Moira and the victim. One of which she was completely unaware.

Another great addition the series! I love these characters and the town they call home. I was thrilled to see Moira and David consider a trip to Mackinac Island. I hope that becomes the setting for a book soon. If you haven’t read this series the characters are developed enough that you can read this without wondering what is happening. The action is steady and there is a bit of suspense woven throughout. This book is worth reading, as is the entire series.

Entertaining mystery listening 🎶🔰

This is a kindle e-book novella from my Kindle Unlimited account book 21 in the 33 book series.

Moira Darling is relaxing in the hammock in the back yard with the two dogs 🐕. The dogs 🐕 are at strange looking at the woods. When David comes home they find foot prints in the woods. Moira goes to work the next morning and finds a dead body in the deli. There are lots of twist and turns leading to the truth leading to the arrest of the killer.

I would highly recommend this novella series and author to 👍 readers of romantic family and friends relationships adventure mystery novels 👍🔰. 2024 👒😀😀😕

I continue to work on cleaning up the series and various authors of books 📚 I have started. Oh just not enough time.

Moira has a stalker and it is creeping her out. On Mother's Day she thinks everyone is too busy to spend any time with her. She decides to give everyone the day off from the Deli and she will run it by herself until she walks in and finds a dead man with roses. Who is this man and why is he in her deli? Read the story to find out. A fast paced and enjoyable read.

Wow!

Wow!!!!! What an ending!! I couldn't put the book down once I started reading, it's just that good. There's a little bit of a creep factor in the beginning, too. However, it's the ending that is the most shocking. You could've knocked me over with a feather when the murderer was revealed. I'm eagerly awaiting the next book in the series just to see what kind of trouble befallen Moira and David next.

This is the 21st book in The Darling Deli Series and a little scarier than the other books as Moira has picked herself up a stalker. So much for a nice, peaceful Mother's Day with her daughter. The author had me from the first page. Right from the eerie feeling Moira had at her home that she was being watched. Goosebumps! Then on to finding a dead body in her deli. Who was he? What was he doing in her deli before they even opened? Who murdered him? I love this book!

Mothers Day Stalker is Not on the Menu

It seems that Moira has a secret admirer. But his obsession with her turns into stalking and ultimately his death at the deli. No one knows who he is until an unlicensed private investigator gets caught trespassing on Moira and David's property. He's a little unethical, but not the killer.

Once again Patti Benning comes through with a tightly written plot which is responsible for lack of sleep until you finish the book.

Mother's Day Secrets and Murder

Moira says she doesn't care much about Mother's Day but when she wakes up alone on Mother's Day and doesn't get responses from her daughter she decides maybe she is wrong and begrudgingly goes to work early only to find a dead man in the shop. Now she's stuck solving another murder instead of enjoying her day

I love the whole series by Patti Benning but this one had me on the edge of my seat from the start. Moira thinks someone is watching her and when the dogs start to attack she realizes she is right. She also lets all her employees have Mother's day off but when she gets to the deli she finds a body. Moira and David are set to find out who the real killer is before someone else is hurt.

I'm speechless

This was one of her best yet! I got spooked right of the bat with this one. I definitely didn't pick this killer out. I was shocked.

I love Moira and David. He really looks out for his wife .

Mikey did so wrong! The dogs were no help this time!

Amazing book! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

I'm normally a fan of this series but for some reason this book fell short for me. I mean after reading the book about Candace and her friend and then about the brewery I just expected more. This book was just ok for me and I a huge fan of Patti Benning. Hopefully the next book will be better.

Good

I was sad to see a character that I had really learned to like lose his good reputation, but it was tastefully done. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.
