Moving back home to my parents’ cattle ranch in Texas was the last thing I thought I’d be doing.

But, here I stand … in front of my high school girlfriend. A beautiful, confident woman has replaced the young girl I once knew and loved. Hell. I’m still in love with her.

Yep. Paxton Monroe was my first love and the one girl in town who now hated my guts. So much so, Paxton swore her revenge on me if it took her until the day she died. The last words she spoke to me were a vow to cut my dick off and shove it down my throat.

The fight between my heart, my head, and last, but certainly not least, my dick starts tonight. Because all I can think about is how I want to be buried so deep inside Paxton she won’t remember how I broke her heart, or how I left her when she needed me the most.

But who will win? My heart is too broken to listen to my head. And my dick, yeah it’s not listening to anything or anyone. Not until it gets what it wants and what it wants is Paxton Monroe.

Lost Love is book one in the Cowboys and Angels Series.

Piece of shit of hero who got the heroine pregnant left her when he finds out she's pregnant because he didn't want a baby with her and when he came back was relieved that she had lost the baby he then married OW and got her pregnant BUT he did want that baby but not the baby from the woman he supposedly love?
Am I supposed to believe in his love for the heroine? And now the heroine has to teach the ow and hero's kid? I didn't get that far out to read if she was celibate but I'll bet my ass she is, while he was getting it on with his wife?
Does this remind you of some other book that It shall not be named?
Pathetic excuse of hero and heroine.

What the fuck. Why do women keep writing this shit? And why are books with these tropes so popular on here? I'm supposed to believe the MMC loves her and has all these years? How does not wanting her to have his baby, being relieved she miscarries, not contacting her for 10 years, moving on, getting married and having children with OW prove his love for the heroine? She is supposed to be the love of his life? I don't think so. While the "hero" is with his wife, the heroine doesn't move on, and doesn't have sex for 10 years!

Why do these authors continue to torture their heroines by making them celibate, forgive and stay with cheating assholes or when they actually did have sex during separations, the sex was bad. Do they hate women that much? There is nothing romantic about these tropes! I'm convinced these authors are getting inspiration from their own marriages and relationships. That's the only way they can possibly keep romanticizing this shit. I would totally understand if it were men writing these stories, but it's not. Unless maybe their husbands are helping them? Giving them ideas?

Review @ Vanilla & Spice Books

After his failed marriage Steed returns home to his parents' ranch in Texas. He hated not being able to go home to see his family because of his money-grubbing now ex-wife. When he left ten years ago he left unfinished business behind. The only woman he ever loved. The woman he never forgot.

Home. The one place I longed to be, but was also scared to death of. Memories of this place were dangerously strong, but Chloe and I needed family. She needed a sense of normal after five years of utter crazy. And I needed to right a wrong that was long overdue. Paxton.

Paxton loves her job as a kindergarten teacher. When she comes face to face with the love of her life and his daughter she is overwhelmed with contradictory feelings. There is joy of seeing Steed again but also grief and a huge amount of righteous anger. And there is still the lingering threat of her cutting off his men parts.

There are things that are unforgivable. I would have thought that the reason for Paxton's anger would be among them but from the first moment you could feel Steed's honest regret for what his younger self did rolling off of him. He wasn't very smart in the decision-making department when he was barely out of school and that is the only reason I can forgive him what he did. He was a young scared boy facing a future he never pictured. He did try to make up for his kneejerk decision but it was too late then.

“Fear is temporary, regret is forever.”

The betrayal and hurt Paxton feels when Steed walks back into her life are excruciating. His past ten years without her make it all the harder to forgive him and for a while they go in circles and Paxton learns more about herself and her own mistakes in the time following her tragedy while she finds a way to lay the past to rest. I thought that was very well executed. Paxton didn't give in right away and needed time to heal and Steed did a lot of grovelling and really earned her forgiveness.

Once they move past their issues the angst pretty much stops, the story becomes a lot more light-hearted and it gets a little too mushy and sweet for my taste. It doesn't really feel natural anymore to get so many "I love yous" and tearing up because, you know, happy, within a couple of pages and all the overly sweet stuff starts to feel a bit like fillers.

A couple of words about the characters. Steed is a cowboy and he has the alpha character and filthy mouth to go with it. He really knows how to woo a woman. He is tenacious in his pursuit of Paxton, he really wants to make it up to everyone who got caught in the drama. I liked Paxton and her spirit and her ability to see her own mistakes.

We kneeled in front of each other, so vulnerable and open. Bleeding hearts exposed for each of us to see. He saw my pain; I saw his hurt. Guilt engulfed me.

While this was a leeettle bit too sweet for me and I expected more angst I still loved the whole cast, setting and storyline of this book and I will definitely continue reading this series. The family consists of 7 siblings so I think we are in for quite a ride. Especially because those cowboys are all man-hos who will be fun to watch when they are brought down to their knees by a female.

Lost Love is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.

This book deals with some serious issues which might be a trigger for some readers.

I didn't like the hero and I thought he was a coward for abandoning the heroine by the time she needed him most, when she got pregnant and lost the baby.
But when another woman needed him he protected her from all her problems and married this other woman and had a daughter he didn't want to assume with our heroine.
Poor excuse of a man whose parents have raised to be an honorable man.
But he apologizes and our heroine ends up forgiving.
She was celibate for 10 years while he was married and supposedly moved on.
But the author writes well and manages to sustain the story.

I’d wasted over six years of my life on a relationship that had started out as a desperate attempt to fuck Paxton out of my mind. Look where that shit got me.

“You left her alone to deal with losing your child?”

I wanted to tell him how unfair it was for him to have a baby with another woman when he didn’t want ours.”

“I lost the baby early this morning. I just got back from the doctor.” Relief washed over my body and I closed my eyes, whispering, “Thank, God.”

“How is that you didn’t want our baby, yet you wanted the baby you had with a woman you didn’t even love?”

“So sorry for what? That you left me to deal with the loss of our child? That you didn’t care enough to come back? Or maybe that you ended up knocking up another woman, but decided she was worth sticking around for?”

“How long has it been, Paxton?” I swallowed hard. Not sure if my answer would kill the mood or not. “Ten years.”

DNF @ 54%....

It was ok but I started to suspect that she hadn't been with anyone else and it was confirmed at 54%. To the Hs credit it wasnt stated that he was with anyone besides the ex but it wasn't stated that he was either. I'm thinking that he was only with the ex wife BUT if he shared his brothers view of women then he screwed his way through college. Author really need to stop making the heroine celibate - its completely unrealistic!.

FYI - his brothers sounded disgusting and pigheaded. I won't be continuing the series....

Ha ha ha, this blurb is ridiculous. He thinks he can make her forget that he broke her heart and left her when she needed him the most just by f*cking her good... Yeah man, right, what a love story it will be if she is really that dumb!!!!

All I can think about is how I want to be buried so deep inside Paxton she won’t remember how I broke her heart, or how I left her when she needed me the most.

Overall, the story wasn't bad at all. I enjoyed the beginning and I thought that the concept of the story was definitely what I was in the mood for. I'm a sucker for second chance romances and Cowboys, so I was really excited for this one.

However, I feel like that's where all the good aspects end. It was cute and interesting up until about halfway through. After that, it kinda just got dull and boring. The main conflict of the story was basically finding a way back to each other while facing their past, which they do once they finally get back together in the middle of the book. So it was pretty much happily ever after already halfway through the book.

The second half didn't really have any conflict to keep me excited or looking forward to the end. The only "conflict" that came up in the second was Kim showing up but that literally only lasted for about a chapter and it was HARDLY anything to worry about. To be honest, the second half of the book felt like an extended epilogue if anything.

The characters themselves are okay. The chemistry between Paxton and Steed was through the roof in the beginning but it kinda died off once they got together. For me, a romance book won't get anything higher than a three star rating for me if the author can't keep me interested even after the main characters get together, which is exactly what happened with Lost Love.

I'm still debating whether or not I'll continue on with the series. I do feel as though all the brothers are all very similar to one another and are pretty much the same exact character (playboy Cowboys who are not ready for commitment or relationships so they just sleep with various women) but with different names. I'm not really looking forward to reading 2-3 other books with recycled characters. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think the next book I'd actually about Amelia so I might give that one a try since I really enjoyed her character in Lost Love.

reread- I didn't like it as much this time around. I must have been in a really good mood the first time around. I had a hard time getting over what a pussy he was with the ex-wife. From the stupid reason for getting married to the begging for a divorce for years...!!?? Steed might have a cool name, but he needs to grow a pair... and we have another virgin... sigh... and I think she's pushing 26 🙄

*****Original Review****
Book 1 in the Cowboys and Angels series which follows the Parker family. A solid cowboy, second chance romance.

Steed Parker has the coolest cowboy name ever:) He's tall, rich, hot and well....let's say he lives up to his name-cough He also has major regrets for leaving the love of his life 10 years ago and is hoping for a second chance.

Paxton has loved Steed forever. She's a kindergarten teacher. She's still broken up over the breakup, and hasn't moved on...like at all. She's avoided the entire Parker family the past decade.

It appears an ongoing theme with this series is that a Parker boy fucks up, then spend the book making up. Steed and Paxton were childhood sweethearts; at the end of their senior year...Paxton becomes pregnant. Originally Steed freaks out, tells her he doesn't want a kid, and avoids her for the next week. (I don't think any of this should be a spoiler- it all this happens the first chapter) Steed gets his shit together, chases Pax down only to be told she miscarried the baby...unfortunately his immediate response was "thank God" which infuriated Pax. She tells him she hates him, that losing the baby was his fault and to never contact her again.

Fast forward 10 years later, Steed is coming home for the first time since leaving-now he's divorced, and a single dad to an adorable 5-year-old, Chloe. I really felt terrible for Paxton; I know it's not the kid's fault, but that had to SUCK major for her. When I read the blurb, I thought I would hate Steed, but he's super remorseful, loves Paxton bunches and is really a nice guy...and it helped that he's the only Parker male that's not a manwhore...so I won't give any spoilers, but he's been pretty celibate.

Why only 3.5 stars?? Honestly, for me, it was a little boring. The couple has pretty much sorted out all their issues by the 50% mark, so the rest of the book it just sort of a cheesy lovefest. Don't get me wrong, I hate when books take the couple FOREVER to get their shit together...I just would have shaved off 60 or so pages off the end:) Chloe is super cute, and the secondary characters are great. My other complaint is that even though each book features a different couple; the author overflows the story line so these can't be read as standalones. There's seven of them, and they don't all appeal to me, so that's a bummer. This series has a HUGE fan following so the ratings are a little skewed in my opinion, but if you absolutely love this book. You'll probably love them all:)

So I got this book in my Romance Reveal Box on Monday. Started it this morning and I didn't want to put it down! I wish I had started this tomorrow so I didn't have to stop and do actual work!

I'm a sucker for a single dad and a sucker for a cowboy so the fact that Steed was both... this book was made. for. me.

I feel like it should be mentioned because some people don't like quick moving timelines (I'm typically one of them), this whole book takes place within about four months. It is a second chance love story so I gave some slack.

At the moment, I can only think of one thing that I didn't like about this book... his name is Steed. Not a fan!

Oh, and how is Mitchell's book not next?!?! What the heck, Elliott! I loved Amelia but I'm gonna die waiting for Mitchell!!!!!! AAAAAHHHHHHH

I almost forgot to mention that cover... drool worthy!

October 2017 reread: I just read this two months ago but I loved it so much I had to pick it back up again! ❤️

January 2018 reread_ Still a 5 Star read! Had to get back with the Parker family to prepare for Mitchell's book releasing tomorrow! :)

I am so excited for this new series from Kelly Elliott. I stayed up all night and read through this book and then turned around and re-read it. It is by far Kelly's best work to date and I loved every minute of it.

Steed Parker left home 10 years ago leaving the love of his life and his heart in Texas. Now he's back home and the last person he thought he would run into was Paxton Monroe. She's always had a piece of his heart even though he crushed her the last time he saw her. She was so upset and heartbroken, she swore she would never speak to him again and promised bodily harm if he ever stepped foot near her again.

But now that he's seen her, she is all he can think about. He's determined to win back her heart - but he also has someone else to take into consideration. Will the past hold too many ghosts for Paxton and Steed to move forward?

I fell in love with Steed from the start. And oh my heart broke for both Steed and Paxton and their loss. When you're young, you do stupid things, not always thinking of the consequences. Now both of them must face the past and try to determine if it's worth wading through the pain, or just taking their losses and move forward.

This is going to be a fabulous new series for Kelly, as we get to know the rest of the Parker brothers (and sister). I am giddy with anticipation!

First of all, WHAT IS IT WITH THESE COVERS. I am so done with them 😒
This started as a really good book. There was angst and crying and funny banters between the brothers and more.

I wanted to find fault in the main characters but apart from their miscommunication and running away from their problem when they were too young to process it was the major one, and I am not even blaming them for that.

I liked it well enough but as we proceeded there was still so much crying, like full on waterworks. And not from my side. The characters just grew emotional. Every. Single. Time. I mean I get it, there was loss, pain and that reunion happiness but Jesus, they did shed a lot of tears, happy or sad, I don't care. I don't mind the characters being a little on the sensitive side (okay I do, a little) but I just don't want to see them cry at every sweet thing that's uttered.

After a time, a few lines got repetitive, the plot grew a little cheesy but that's about it. It was good enough.

I chose the middle ground of 3.4 because of Chloe. That adorably cute, precocious child. I absolutely loved her and loved the way she accepted Paxton and Steed's relationship, more like encouraged it by being the matchmaker number 1 but well, she was sweet!

I tried to give this book a chance because I am a sucker for romances involving childhood friends. Unfortunately, I just couldn’t stomach it. I probably could have gotten behind the story if the characters had any redeeming qualities, but I genuinely couldn’t stand them. To me, the heroine was overly dramatic and whiny while the hero was a typical bro, you know the kind that gets drunks and screws other women to forget about what a d*** he is especially to the people he loves. I could forgive their mistakes, everyone makes them, if they didn’t continuously make poor decisions while not fixing/dealing with the previous ones.

I wish I enjoyed this book. I mean look at that delicious cover! Alas do not be fooled. It left much to be desired.

Heartbreak. Grief. Anger. Sadness. Regret.

For the past 10 years, these are the emotions that have defined Paxton Monroe and Steed Parker’s lives. One fateful night of poor reactions and angry words cost these high school sweethearts a decade of making new memories and living out the plans they made as a young couple in love.

Steed’s return home gives him the chance to make amends and discuss everything that happened between him and Paxton all those years ago, but before Steed can work to earn back the only woman he’s ever loved, he’ll need to fight through the wall she created - one that seems nearly impenetrable because it’s layered with grief for everything she lost, anger for Steed’s abandonment, and fear for getting hurt and being left broken once again.

The small-town community in Oak Springs, Texas, is the perfect backdrop for Paxton and Steed’s story because at the heart of everything that they’ve lost and are hoping to reclaim centers around the idea of family. And the Parker brood are one heck of a tight knit family who go above and beyond when it comes to providing a variety of avenues for Steed to fight the battle for Paxton’s heart, and because Steed’s family is behind him, he knows that win or lose, he made the right choice in coming home.

There’s a lot of work to be done in order to heal Paxton’s open wounds. Steed’s return makes her heartache and despair feel as fresh as they were 10 years ago and it also forces Steed to truly understand just how much they lost when she sent him away and he never came back. But one thing readers will come to see about Steed is that he’s tenacious when he wants something and because Paxton is his everything, he’ll prove to her that she can trust him to handle her heart with care and build a life together that’s even better than the one they planned for when they were in high school.

Lost Love is my favorite Kelly Elliott book to date. Elliott always tells her stories in a way that allows her readers to feel EVERYTHING that her main characters feel, and that still holds true in Paxton and Steed’s story, but she seems to go even deeper in illustrating Paxton and Steed’s emotions and the people they become after walking out of each other’s lives, and as Elliott takes readers on the couple’s new journey, it’s clear what’s at stake for everyone involved in their lives and how forgiving one another for their past misdeeds will give them a fighting chance at a happily ever after.

I'm a sucker for a second chance romance story, and Lost Love by Kelly Elliott is a definite must read! Paxton and Steed's story will melt readers’ heart, especially because of a certain outspoken and adorable 5 year old!

Gahhhh...okay. 3 stars.
I love the angst at the beginning and me loves a second chance love story. I especially enjoyed the secondary characters and the additional romance between them.

BUT...
-It needed to be cut short. The second half of the book seems like a HEA? Conflict is pretty much completely resolved half way through.
-A little much on the cheese factor.
-Listening to how his brothers talk about women kind of made me throw up in my mouth.

SPOILER:
-Heroine has never been with anyone else..for TEN YEARS. I'm starting to get annoyed that celibacy is used to make it seem like someone's love is somehow "better". Maybe, but in reality, they most likely would have seen other people over such a long period of time (which is healthy!)

Still enjoyed it and plan on reading the next installments! Excited for Amelia's book. AND MITCHELL!

This book is why Kelly Elliott is a best selling Author.
It is easy to fall for a Parker Brother. In this book we meet Steed Parker. He's tall, dark and handsome. He also made a huge mistake back in high school. Something he has regretted his entire adult life. So what does he do, he make another mistake,. Which he feels is Karma. But there is something good that happened.....No spoilers
Paxton Monroe is the girl he left behind, but never stopped loving. She is the perfect small town girl. Sweet and innocent. BUT she has some bad in her. AND she's a kindergarten teacher. Which is a good thing for Steed.
They is a lot of pushing ( on Paxton's part) and Pulling ( On Steeds part) But I love how things came together. Love conquers all

4 Sweet Second Chance Stars!

“The way he stared into my soul had me feeling unsteady. My heart was telling me to run to him, but my head was guarding my heart.”

“Fight for her, Steed. Show her that you made a mistake and that you’ll do whatever it takes to make it up to her.”

“He let out a contented breath. As if that simple kiss and me in his arms solved all of his problems.”

Cowboys, sweet romance and an unforgettable second chance at love-those are the words that come to mind when I think of Lost Love.

Lost Love is the first book in an exciting and new series from author Kelly Elliott. Told from dual points of view, Lost Love follows the story of Paxton and Steed. Once upon a time, Paxton and Steed were on top of their little world. Their whole life was laid out the way they always dreamed. Everything was just as it should be, until one day Paxton came to Steed with some news. And when Paxton needed Steed the most, he vanished from her life. Now, 10 years later, Steed has returned home. His life has changed and in many ways for the better, but there is one thing that his heart wants and aches for: Paxton. He knows he messed up and will do anything to win back her heart…

Lost Love is a beautifully written second chance romance. From the moment you meet Paxton and Steed you just know that there is something incredible there. But, Steed messed up and will be in for the fight of his life to get back the love of Paxton. There is not a single day that goes by that Steed doesn’t regret the decisions that he made. He is ashamed of how he treated Paxton and at times, the guilt feels like it is slowly killing him. And poor Paxton. She never forgot the man that broke her heart and haunts her dreams. She wishes more than anything that she could just move on. And the one thing she never planned on was having Steed return home. The moment Steed returns home, all bets are off. The love and connection these two share is way to intense to be passed up. Steed and Paxton have done a lot of growing in their ten years apart, but still have a lot of things to work through. But, if there love is as strong and as true as it once was, they will be able to handle anything that life throws at you.

Lost Love is a wonderful start to the Cowboys and Angels series. It is incredibly well written and a wonderful book to spend the day getting lost in and swooning over. Paxton and Steed’s story hit all the marks and had me rooting for their second chance at love. Such an enjoyable read. I can not wait to get my hands on the next book and see where this series is going to take me next.

5.0 Star Review Lost Love (Cowboys & Angels #1) by Kelly Elliott

Wow, I have no words to express how much I loved Lost Love, the first book in the Cowboys & Angels series by Kelly Elliott.

What a great start to her new series, this book had it all. My heart just about broke for Paxton and at times I feared she would never recover. Enter Steed Parker, the love of her life and the man that hurt her beyond measure. Lost Love is a second chance at love and what a spectacular love story it is.

I fell in love with all the characters in this book, particularly Chloe, who throughout the book made my heart melt and really stole the show. What a courageous and beautiful little girl and her dad (Steed isn't too bad either).

This was one of those books I wanted to take slowly to savour the story and yet I found myself riveted to the book and kept on reading, just one more chapter.

I loved the banter between Steed and his brothers and sisters; their scenes together made for some snort worthy moments throughout the book.

Lost Love deals with some serious heartache, but it also shows how determination, forgiveness, love and hope can overcome such tragedy and make a difference. I loved this book from start to finish and so cannot wait for the next story in the series, which I believe is out in September.

Congratulations Ms.Elliott you have another winning series on your hand.

Steed Parker & Paxton Monroe were high school sweethearts. Dreaming and planning to spend their future together, they thought they had it all figured out.

Graduate from high school
Go to Texas A&M together.
Graduate from college.
Get married.
Have children.
Grow old together.

What they did not factor into any of that was how sometimes life throws curveballs and you either have to be ready to catch or miss.

In their case, it all went amiss when Paxton tells Steed

Fast forward ten years later...

Steed is back home in Texas with his daughter, Chloe. Leaving behind his wretched ex-wife and mother of his daughter, it's time for him to go back to his childhood home with his parents and six other siblings. He wanted a better life for his daughter and a chance at moving on with his life.

To say he was completely surprised when he sees his daughters new kindergarten teacher is an understatement. You see, it's the girl he ran away from ten years ago. The girl who told him she was carrying their child and he chickened out on. The girl who has always been his love, heart and soul even all of these years later.

Paxton's world collapses once again when she sets eye on Steed Parker, the man who shattered, stepped on and broke her heart in more ways than one. Full of anger, confusion and emotional confliction, Paxton can't help but feel complete anger as to why he was back now. And to pour salt in the wound, he's back with a little girl. He chose to have a child with someone else.

Lost Love is a second chance romance. As the H and h come to grips with what happened all of those years ago, you kind of hope that they will be able to move past it all and succumb to the love they've always felt and had for one another.

Now. Why 3 stars?

The story started out splendidly. My heart hurt for Paxton. I even sympathized with Steed and how he's felt all of these years. To finally be able to hear the truth as to what happened all those years ago, you can't help but be a bit of a sucker when he breaks down and cries.

Then we have his family. Mom & Dad are pretty cool. His siblings - Trevor, Trip, his twin Mitchell, sisters Amelia & Waylynn are a tight knit group. True & true what siblings should be like.

But there was one major thing that honestly turned me off - their obsession with each other's sex lives. I mean it was borderline creepy the way they spoke to each other - who's getting laid, who needs to get laid, what size condoms one wears, what they did with bandana (read it and find out), how many times they've had sex in a day...I mean, I have sisters myself and I can tell you right now, we have NEVER, EVER gone into any of these kinds of details with each other.
And the further the book went on, the more nauseating it became.

I also felt like the second half the book was missing something (or included way too much sex and not enough emotional building).

Overall, it was a good book and I will read the next book in the installment. But if it gets out of control sibling-sex-speak wise as it did in this one, I'll have to end my journey with the Parkers there.

Call me callous or cynical but this is reminiscent of a book I love to hate by Aurora Rose Reynolds ‘Wide Open Spaces’. In ARR’s version, they were too young to raise their baby together (true), shortly thereafter he gets drunk, gets another woman pregnant, marries her and plays happy families with her...and years later the h, ultimately forgives him.

She in turn marries and has a son during their time apart.

Ms. Elliotts’s heroines are oftentimes represented as meek, simpering poor representations of female empowerment. They are without doubt, the most forgiving, spineless creatures.

They are not strong...simply chaste. I am not looking for heroines lacking in self respect and convictions, merely women that move on in their lives as the Heroes do...the H’s are not pining for the h’s, yet the tone established in many books reveal that women cannot be sexually empowered, only men.

Men move on as the women remain mourning their lost love❗️

Lost Love is Kelly Elliott's best work yet!!! I couldn't get enough of this book and was DEVASTATED when I finished it. I'm LOVING all of these characters we were introduced to. The little girl, Chloe, MADE this book. Whenever she appeared I was either laughing or crying from the sweet things she said. I can't tell you how happy I was when I found out that the hero was a single dad.

I SO CAN'T WAIT for the other books in this series!!!

Let's start off by saying this is a new author for us a we really loved our first read by them. What a fantastic love story with tons of love emotion and friendship.

I enjoyed the characters they were easy to connect with as they had you falling in love with from the onset. Those hunky Parker brothers where crude, sexist, humorous and hot as hell we loved them all .With their sense of humor, abundance of love, camaraderie ,joking & teasing around made them a lot of fun to read about as well as making us laugh out loud more than once throughout the story.Lets not forgot the sisters as well especially Amelia what a sense of humor that girl had. She is a erotic romance writer and had at won over just with that.We love anyone who writes hot romances we like right ?

Paxton and Steed have a love that stood the test of time.Paxton and Steed being apart for 10 years has not dulled the passion and spark but, past regrets and bad decisions and hurtful words or not easily put to rest and Steed is going to have to fight tooth and nail to get back the only women he has ever loved.

The chemistry this couple has was amazing .Steed did the sweetest and the most romantic things to win back Paxton.I was in awe with him.I love romantic men.

I always pick a favorite character in a story my top favorite this time around was Chloe .Omg she was just so adorable and the sweetest and loving little girl. She brought smiles and happiness to all those around her.She had all her Aunts and Uncles wrapped around her little finger for just being the love-able and caring child she was.I loved how she loved her father and always wanted him to be happy and not sad.If I didn't love her already she would have won me over when she walked down the wedding aisle with her pet goat that put a smile on my face and it was one of the most precious moments in the entire story, she was just too cute!

I loved being on Paxton's and Steed's amazing journey of finding their way back to one another again and how they were able to put old hurts to rest and move on and grab the happiness they were creating in the now and making those dreams they once had a reality. This story was filled with tons of emotion both happy and sad.I loved it from beginning to end and in the middle a touching love story of not just about two people but three.
Paxton, Steed,Chloe...

Recommended read to all!

~ 5 Second Chance at Love Stars ~

Oh how I have missed Kelly Elliott’s cowboys!!! She knows how to delivery a fun, sweet and panty melting love story. I am so excited to see where this series goes in the books to come.

Lost Love is the first book in Kelly’s newest series and I think she is off to a wonderful start. This book was everything I come to expect from Kelly’s books. It was entertaining, fun loving, sugary sweet but with the right amount of heat ;) Plus Kelly gave us the most adorable little 5 year old girl in this story. I wanted to keep Chloe for myself.

This book is a second chance romance that is told in Dual POV. It is a standalone but this series is going to be interconnecting because of the cast of characters she has introduced the readers to. This series is going to be based off the Parker family who live in a small town in Texas. So my suggestion is to read the books as they release, so you can read them in order. Each book will be about a new couple and storyline, but I am guessing we will see past characters come back into the story. The Parker family is a very close nit family. I totally wanted to join their family by the end of this story.

This book totally took me back to the “Wanted” days and what made me fall in love with Kelly’s writing. But it was also a new and fresh look on cowboys and life in Texas. I truly believe this is Kelly Elliott at her finest.

In Lost Love we follow the second chance at romance between Steed and Paxton. Steed is one of 7 siblings in the Parker family. Raised on his family’s ranch, he is a true cowboy . Paxton is Steed’s high school sweetheart and love of his life, but when at the age of 18 he makes a big mistake, that decision forces him to leave Texas. Fast forward 10 years and Steed has come back to his hometown and has vowed to get Paxton back. But of course nothing is that easy. Paxton is not quite so forgiving in the beginning, but Steed also has a huge secret that is revealed and it isn’t something that make Paxton to happy. Will Paxton and Steed be able to get past their past and build a future together?? Can Paxton ever forgive Steed for his past mistakes?? Read Lost Love and find out.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a second chance romance with a smokin’ hot cowboy and a heartwarming family to go along with him. If you are a fan of Kelly Elliott’s books you don’t want to miss this fantastic start to what I am guessing is going to be a wonderful series.
