2-2.5-ish WTF happened to Hawke Stars
Seriously, Hawke was like the MC Yoda/Laura Berman relationship expert spewing facts and solid advice while preaching about being honest the last two books… I LOVED him… and now he's a liar liar pants on fire… What happened?
Hawke and Luisa have been around and dating during Quill and Jasmine’s books, and to all appearances had a solid relationship. He also was the voice of reason any time they were screwing stuff up or reacting before thinking things through.

Taming Hawke by J. A. Collard, a sizzling book by an even more hot up and coming author that will have you squirming in your seat. If you're in love with an over the top sexy alpha male, then this book will hit all the right spots. I have had the honour of being with this author from the beginning, experiencing the workings of mind & watching her talent progress. Nothing warms my heart more than when I literally watch an author grow in front of my eyes. It's amazing and though there may be a few haters out there, J. A. Collard has grown so much since she started (she's still a fairly new author) and I commend her for her determination.
Now while reading this book, there were moments where I couldn't connect emotionally with the characters, which to be honest, had me struggling for a bit. There were also moments where the main characters felt like they had no depth to who they are & it bugged me a bit. The execution and writing was amazing but the plot line was kind of messy for me. There wasn't really that much of a build up, but that's probably just my own fault because I was expecting too much. And while the minor obstacles I just mentioned do exist, they were of my own opinion and there are also a lot of positives to this book. The most important; the SEX. It's hot in it's own way and the dirty talk is exceptional. Her writing is amazing & really drew me in, it's the kind of writing that will let you get lost in your own world. The way she handled her characters as well, I thought was excellent.
I literally cannot wait for the next book in this series. I love me an OTT alpha biker. It gives me ALLLL the feelings. This is a feel good, hot, sexy romance that will drive you crazy in the best ways! Well done J. A. Collard, you have outdone yourself and I can't wait for this book to release so everyone can see how good it is for themselves! Be prepared for a crazy ride!

ARC provided by author for an honest review. I was first introduced to the Blood Brothers MC in Tame Me featuring Quill and I really enjoyed the Collard's writing and how her character's came to life. I am not going to lie I thought Quill was hot and couldn't think anyone could outrank him in hotness until Hawke. Now this is Jasmine's and Quill's best friends "love" story. Hawke and Luisa first met in Tame Me and started an intense flirtation that ended with them in a relationship. But Hawke has secrets and because of the secrets he is keeping from Luisa he jeopardizes their relationship. Hawke's past comes in the form of his ex-fiancee Josie who he keeps trying to save and who he never mentioned to Luisa and it's his knight in shining armor routine that puts Luisa at risk. I thought Hawke should have let Josie do what she wanted and stopped trying to save her because he kept lying to Luisa about what he was doing and who with even if it was innocent. But I also liked that about him also, the fact that he had a kind heart but after what she did and how she felt about his family, I think that he should have left the club when he saw her and maybe they would have known sooner about the other threat to the club. But this was a great book and can't wait to meet more of the Blood Brothers and the MC's that they consider family.

I don’t know why I took so long to read this, but it was a really good read. Wasn’t to happy with his indiscretion, but thankful it wasn’t to bad. Although not really liking how hard it was for him to walk away from it, if he really loved Lu that much it shouldn’t have been that hard for him to say no. Either way great job!!!

I received this book as a ARC..Hawke was a real jerk at the beginning but he heart was hurt early..he did make up for it and I really enjoyed the writing and the story line.. great read and one that will be put away to read again..you know what I am saying ,we all have THAT book that you just want to read again..this is the one.

If you like a romance with little grit and lite fluffy romance with heroes that are both hot, tough but really protective and loving, this series is for you. IMO it tends to feel more like YA/NA romance. It has a lot of hot sex scenes and the guys, though they screw up royally, continue to grovel and pursue the h's.
My biggest problem with this book is that I felt like I was re-reading Quill/Jasmine's story from books 1 & 2. Same basic plot, prior romance that throws kinks in the current romance, possible cheating, etc. It seemed like just the names were changed. I would recommend you read the first two books prior to reading this one even though the author does a pretty good job at giving enough background to understand what happened in the past.
I think a lot of readers will love this series but for me, I like a little more grit, a stronger heroine and for each new story in a series to have a different plot and not so many similarities.
2.5 leaning towards 3 stars. The author definitely has the ability to write a good story.

Wow! Another hot read by JA Collard that will get your blood pumping and falling in love with Hawke & Luisa's story. So many twists and turns that I didn't expect that will keep you on your toes throughout the whole book!
If you're into hot, bad boy bikers with a good heart than Hawke is your man! He's my favourite Blood Brother and once I started this book couldn't put it down!
Book 3 in the Blood Brothers MC series has it all and is certainly a must read!

Here, we have a FMC with BBS and bad friends who give bad advice like taking back a man who cheated (and then lied about it).
I don't have a problem with the cheating trope. That's what brought me here. The problem is that he cheats on her and then lies about it. He sees his ex-fiancée - who cheated on him, and the FMC knows nothing about her existence - stripping. When he follows her to the back, he sees her shooting up and blaming him for it. Now he gets to play white knight by taking her home. Here, he puts her under the cold shower. She gets a bit frisky, and after becoming aroused, HE kisses HER. He takes her shirt off and fondles her a bit while kissing her. He stops and ultimately leaves, but he still cheated. He doesn't come fully clean, though. His official story is that his ex kissed him, but he pushed her off and left. 😒 It's not a mix-up in the writing. He tells her BFF the story first and deliberately lies, making a point to make eye contact with the BFF in hopes that she buys his lie.

His apologies meant nothing so there was zero redemption. I received this book as an arc for an honest review. This book was perfect. I was hooked from the start. Hawk was an ass at the beginning. He never should have went back stage to see Josie, however he really is a caring person. He really did love Lu and showed it over and over to her. I enjoyed see the other characters in the book also, especially Quill and Jasmine. I am blown away by this author.

Took off a star because at times the writing felt juvenile. The second star for h being a bit of a doormat and the H not telling the full truth about the kiss. The h actually said she was being dramatic because of how she was reacting towards the kiss the H had with his ex-fiancé. By the way, the h didn’t even know about the ex till after she caught him in his lies.

I absolutely loved this book! I am extremely picky when it comes to giving out 5 star ratings but this one deserves it. It featured my favorite tropes and I really liked both of the two main characters. Kudos to the author and I look forward to reading more of her books.

Lydia and Hawke have a rough start when it comes to making a deeper connection, especially when Hawke's ex-fiancee Josie comes back into the picture. Working as a stripper and hooked on drugs is more than anything that Hawke ever expected. Not being completely open with Luisa leads to a pretty nasty breakup. After much persuading they finally realize how much they care for each other and give their relationship another try. When Josie's life is suddenly in danger Hawke once again has to race to her rescue Luisa is finally done. Quill and Jasmine understand his reasoning for leaving but there is no talking to Luisa. When mayhem strikes and Luisa is nearly losing her life Hawke moves into action and finally claim the only woman that means the world to him.
Hawke is book 3 in the Blood Brothers MC Series and continues where Quills story ended. Even with his rough exterior he is a total softy on the inside. J.A. Collard truly captured if who Hawke is with this book. Awesome read!

When i read a blurb or a series and the next one is when you know the couple are already together i don’t get too excited and sometimes don’t read it but i couldn’t help it i loved Luisa and Hawke in the first book so yes i was straight into it.
Again we have another action packed story with Jazz and Quill getting married, the MC coming under attack and Luisa and Hawkes relationship on the brink of destruction.
In the first and second book Hawke and Lu were very passionate and nothing changes in there book but when Hawkes past comes back to haunt it, it’s definitely a fight to come out the other side.
Again another great book in this series and so full of action and hot and dirty sex and great storyline and awesome writing.
If you like MC genre then you need to give this series a go love it .

I so enjoyed this book. I was pulled into it right from the start and loved the fact that I felt I was part of the story. The emotions jump right of the page and hit you.
I did get a little bout frustrated with the two main characters but all turned out good.
There are some really good surprises in the story, if you are anything like me you will love them.
I highly recommend this book and the two before, you do need to read them in order.
I can't wait to see what is next.

This was a sexy, angsty if over-dramatic time. If you’re looking for an MC light entertaining read, this is a fun time. I loved Luisa and watching Hawke surfer to his feelings was delicious, but the brevity of true novel kept it from have emotional depth. I felt that their chemistry and hunger for each other was an easy fix to never addressing problems.

Sometimes when you're reading a series you feel a pull towards one of the supporting characters as much as the main ones, that was me with Hawke. Despite wanting to give him a smack round the head for the first part of the book he got me back on side before the end. If you haven't read Tame Me and Tamed I would recommend it before reading this I don't think its absolutely essential but Hawke's story will make more sense if you do.

I love Hawke - even when he tries to do the right thing, it ends up hurting someone.
He has fallen deeply in love with Luisa, but of course that does awry when he spot his ex-fiance, stripping, he's thinking WTF is going on - of course through finding out about his ex, the up coming nuptials of Quill and Jasmine - his life is driving on all cylinders, but when Santana comes out of the woodwork, and demands his MC do some business, well lets just say **** hits the fan.
Such a great book!!

Ohh I love Hawked Story. He's a Alpha also. I like Lu she is a spit fire. Love them as a couple. Josie not to fond of her. I am sad about the club house & what happened to Lu. I love the ending!! Omg!! Such a great shock!! Hope we get more of the series.

Floved it!!
Just an awesome addition to this series. Loved the angst, twist, hot AF sex, sexy alpha hear me roar male and an incredible storyline. This was a great MC read. Please tell me we won't have to wait long on another book of one of these amazing characters.....

Great read. Loved Hawke and Lu’s story ❤️❤️❤️ these guys are all so tough and say their not romantic but they love their girls so hard and spoil them with affection lol they just don’t call it romance. This series is one of the best. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wasn’t really a fan of Hawke’s in previous books, he’s still kind of lame in this one but once again, h gets pregnant, she’d also shot, lied to, cheated on and… they still end up together. The situation with his ex and the drug cartel is ridiculous and showed how weak and incompetent the entire club was, especially Hawke.
