The Zoran's Bride is book one in the Barbarian Brides series, but can be read as a standalone. It's an instalust, fated mates romance featuring a fiery human with a thirst for justice, and a tall, imposing alien warrior who can't resist her. No cheating, HEA guaranteed!
My new bodyguard? A possessive, dangerous alien warrior who wants to claim me as his prize! Oh boy!
Decades have passed since the Tyk’ix destroyed the Zoran home-world. The fierce, sexy alien warriors have found refuge on Earth, but adjusting to this new reality has not been easy for either species ...
Sarah Granger wants nothing to do with the aliens ... her father died protecting the Zoran ... and she’s yet to forgive them.

Kazim has never seen his home-world.
The alien warrior grew up an orphan on the streets of Boston with nothing to his name except his fists and his indomitable will. Resisting his urge to claim her is the hardest battle the alien warrior has ever fought!
The Zoran's bride de Luna Hunter serie Barbarian Brides libro 1
No tenía nada.
⭐️⭐️💫 2.5 Stars — Not Quite the Epic Adventure It Wanted to Be
Zoran’s Bride had a premise that could have been fun, but the execution was… whew, all over the place. Our heroine goes from zero combat experience to suddenly wielding swords, slaying massive mythical beasts, and saving her mate like she’s been training with the Avengers. And then she becomes the Alpha? My suspension of disbelief packed its bags and left.
The characters never quite gelled, the storyline felt rushed and hollow, and the emotional beats didn’t land. And honestly? The spice didn’t deliver either. For a book that set itself up to be fierce and passionate, it just fizzled.
All in all, this one fell short for me. Plenty of potential, but not enough follow-through.
I liked the different take on aliens in this book in that they were already a part of earth and not something completely unexpected to our heroine. This way we are able to explore the interactions between aliens and humans for long periods of time and how that affected the different species.
Of course the best part is the interaction between Sarah and Kazim. Two very different people and yet they found a common ground to come together.
Kazim is rough around the edges and very defiant, but has a soft spot for his little human. Of course this doesn't stop him from being a little naughty and creating some very steamy and holarious situations for the two.
Sarah is a strong and beautiful woman with a heart of gold. I loved that although she started out having a hard time standing up for herself, except for when she was with Kazim, that she was able to grow and become stronger.
These two really brought out the beat in each other and I couldn't help, but root for them.
Luna Hinter knows how to write a sizzling romance and I can't wait to meet more Barbarian Brides!

No Spoilers. Advanced Reader Copy read voluntarily and did not stop till I had completed the book. IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!
The Zoran’s Bride is the start of a new series (called Barbarian Brides) and gives us a new group of stories of the brightly colored Zoran warriors. Yes, definitely a standalone read, it’s just that I am a big fan of the Zorans. This story is about Kazim and Sarah. It has everything I’ve come to expect: aliens, space travel, human females, crazy space ship captains…all rolled into one story. It’s fast, it is at times fun, action-packed, and has a funny…uh, let’s call it a meet-cute! Seriously, the story takes place after the Zorans settle on Earth, with us humans (due to their world being destroyed) and Sarah is a human female PhD/chief scientist who has volunteered to head a research mission to help the Zorans find a new home world. Kazim is an orphaned Zoran that grew up on the streets of (Neo-)Boston and is now being chased by a thug that he’s just crossed. His uncle, a Zoran general, has placed him on the ship (with Sarah) to get him off-world to save his life. The story takes off from there and is one wild ride. It seems to be a great new world to read, although I’m not seeing what a book 2 would be about. I’ve read other series by Ms. Hunter and have enjoyed “her worlds” so I’m game for whatever she comes up with. I think the best part of the story, for me, was towards the end of the book when Sarah gets to display some pretty fierce tendencies. That’s all you’ll get as I don’t want to write any spoilers. Good, fast read and if a second book comes out, I will definitely read.
This book starts out with a space expedition by Earth to find a new home for the Zoran's whose home world was destroyed. The mission of the HF Spearhead is to find somewhere else for them all to live. Dr Sarah Granger is a highly respected scientist and with her assistant Ava Payne they set out on their first ever space adventure. Too bad they had to deal with an ego tripping Captain Ferguson who has an idea that he can shave weeks or months off their travel time and it leads to disaster. Sarah and her new Zoran bodyguard appointed by the Captain are sent to a planet for help as they have run out of fuel for the ship. The aliens on the planet where not at all helpful and not at all nice. Sarah and Kazim had a extremely busy time trying to stay alive. Thank you to Luna Hunter for the wonderful review copy. Loved it.
Sarah's father dies protecting the Zorans so she doesn't want anything to do with them but when the federation plans a trip to fine the zorans a new home she is happy to take the job yeah! Then she finds out they a signed her the most arrogant and dangerous Zoran she has ever seen. Kazim. Kazim is a Zoran who grew up with nothing one the streets of Boston and now has the mob after him. He gets a job on a ship heading off world and meets his fated, has to save the ship and crew and deal with his feeling lol Love the action and twist and turns in the story. It's a fun science fiction romance read. Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly enjoyed it
When you discover your purpose, life can change in a moment
Kazim is a Zoran living in Earth after his home world was attacked. Some humans have welcomed the alien refugees, but not all humans have, and Kazim has struggled to find his purpose, until now. A ship his headed off world looking for a new planet for the Zoran's, and whether she realizes it or not, there is a scientist on board who can offer Kazim the direction, and meaning, his life has been missing.
I enjoyed the theme of this book. Explored in a variety of ways, and from multiple angles "why can't we all just get along?" was nicely done here.
This was a great start to this series - sexy alpha alien - check! Fated mates - check! Tough as nails human females who grows a set and saves the day - in spades!!! This story has intrigue, violence (battle), lust, love, and intellect; oh wait, did I mention passion?? I was smiling, grinning, fanning, cheering, and fuming throughout the entire book - I STRONGLY recommend you read this book! I can't wait to get started on the next one, "Zoran's Mate," - hoping it will just as good or even better, promise to let you know!! As for my favourite colour? Once you read this book, I am sure you will understand how hard it is to decide :)
An expedition to help a The Zorans find another home yet this doesn't go as planned. She ends up with a body guard who takes his job quite seriously. Now not only does she have one mess on her hands she takes on another. With the help of her body guard, and low odds they'll have to fight their way out. Can they? just as other obstacles get thrown at them? Excellent read. One of my favorite authors for Alien reads. Can't wait to read what new adventures she writes about next. I voluntarily received a complimentary copy for an honest review.
Having a hulking, blue alien as a bodyguard is the way to go.
Sarah is going into space for the first time, studying hard she has had little time for dating let alone men. Mintues before take off she is assigned at bodyguard. A seven foot, blue alien. Kazim is here because his Uncle feels is the only way to save his life. The Captain having nothing for him do do assigns him as Sarah's bodyguard. One look, one sniff and he decides that being as close as possibly to Sarah, is the way to do his job.
There are series and then there are Series. This was one of the later. The Zoran and the human, Sarah, start off on a search for a new home for the Zorans, whose world was destroyed. She is a scientist, looking for a new and exciting adventure. He is a fighter, running from an corrupt fight entrepreneur. The adventures are not what they expected. The storyline was quite interesting even though Sarah's transformation was a little bit unbelievable. However, you should find out for yourself.
I found the story extremely fun and interesting. However, I found a great deal of misspelling and grammatical errors. I loved the fact that near the end, book worm Sarah saved the hero, herself, and the slaves. It makes for an interesting read. I would give it a five star rating but again I found misspelling and grammatical errors. I would have been upset if I had bought a paperback copy. I’m not sure how kindle publishing work but I hope that they have editors who read the stories before they put them out there.
I just love blue! Human scientist and confirmed pacifist, Sarah Granger, is going on the first space mission in 50 years, but a scary 7 foot Zoran, Kazim, who is also a rogue underground fighter, has been added to the ships roster at the last minute and is now her bodyguard! The ships Captain is a bit (?) insane, and gets them in dire straits. Will they survive what is ahead of them? Excitement and romance filled story! I so love this new Zoran series!
The plot was easy to follow and the book held my interest. I like a good story that has a broody alpha alien and a sassy slightly innocent human female. This book sadly missed the mark for me in many way. I needed more character development and more story details. There were also many story inconsistencies that kinda put a damper on this book for me. I wanted to love it but in the end I only liked it :(
Ok, so there were some pretty far stretches of the imagination in this one, but they were definitely amusing. Kazim is very funny when he all out starts guarding Sarah in the nude at the start. It also seemed a stretch that his Uncle only brought him in his fighting shorts without even any clothes. The rest is pure fantasy. Love it, and laughed a lot. I'm not really sure about the title though. They don't actually get married.
This story just completely blew me away. I laughed and I cried. I love all the Zoran stories and the little twist of who's more menacing is awesome. I can't wait for the next book. I couldn't put this one down. There is a couple grammatical errors but not enough to make me completely stop reading it altogether.
It is now fifty years after the Zoran flee their planet and settle on earth. This is when a ship is sent out to look for a new home world for them. Upon this ship Sarah and Kazim meet. Kazim is assigned to be Sarah's body guard. While on this trip they fall in love and fight monsters at the same time. I love it.
Just plain out of this world storytelling. Looking for a great read, then you want to grab this one . An alien with an attitude and a human that makes him crave better. This is one interesting read with lots of action and loving in the mix. What a way to spend some time.
This is definitely an instalust book. Kazim and Sarah are thrown together when the Captain, who is an idiot by the way, orders Kazim to be her bodyguard. That really isn't a hardship for him. It turns out that she is pretty fierce too. There is an HEA, with a small cliffhanger. The book needs some editing, there are a lot of errors.
Love these books. I love everything except that I wish there were more written to each couples story. I love that each story keeps me interested from the start. I literally can’t put it down and I finish each book within a few hours that’s how good it is, I just wish each couple had more story time. I love all the Zoltan books and can’t wait for more
Sarah was your usual clueless scientist geek, Kazim the typical alien alpha alien is her body guard. They get off to a rocky start but Kazim was surprisingly persistent, and they were able compromise and work together. It was an enjoyable and uncomplicated sci fi romance - sometimes thats just what you need! I can't wait to try the next book.
I really enjoy this author and would recommend any of her books I've read. She has a gift of creative writing. Her books are always very good and they leave you wanting more. This is another beginning to a great series!
It was such a great book? It has action, humor, adventure, and steamy love scenes that leaves you saying ahhh with awesome characters? A must buy and waiting patiently for the next one to come out.
Who knew that alien and human can call in love! It would be awesome to meet other aliens would be interested in humans! This book was hot and cool. Action, death, and love all packed together in a great book!
I so loved this awesome story. Great characters in an even greater story. A strong female lead and a sexy alien, who could ask for anything more! I can't wait to see what happens next in this wonderful series. I would definitely recommend it to everyone. You will not be disappointed.
Hot, exciting and filled with a Zoran who is a killing machine! Sarah Grainger hates her new bodyguard but when they are stranded together realizes he is part and parcel of her soul! Sassy scientist with attitude out the whazoo, makes you laugh, pissed off and so happy that the sexual chemistry steams your glasses but immensely satisfying ending!
