I laughed. I cried. I reminisced. Dog owners will especially enjoy this lovely poetry collection, but I'd also highly recommend it to all animal lovers. I really couldn't choose a favorite, but the one I remember the most is The Kennels Were Quiet. I wish more people would consider adopting senior dogs. Young or old a dog's unconditional love never waivers. Do yourself a favor- read this book and if you can adopt a dog in need of a forever home.

A must read for any dog-lover. A sweet work of wonderful poems about dogs. The book is a very short read but Kate's words contain truths about how we all feel about our beloved canines. If you have ever had to say goodbye to your dog, one poem in particular will leave you with tears on your face but with the hope that you shall see your pup again in Heaven.
