Lover of words. Author of "perfectly imperfect romance". Since starting this journey in August 2016, I've published eight books, two children's books, and have been part of two different coloring books. In short, I'm fulfilling a lifelong dream and would love to have you join me!
2 ⭐⭐ - Meh! ============ UPDATE: Reread in July 2023
It did not sustain a second reading and I confess I must have been in an excellent good mood when I first read it. It is very dangerous to revisit readings, because they end up being a big disappointment. ==================== 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Liked it! ==================== Read in October 2017
First reading of this author. I liked the characters and the story got me hooked. Missed better explain the motivations of the exes wanting them back. The story felt like it was going to end and continued with more stuff going on. Could be shorter. But I enjoyed the read and recommend.
This was a la de da romance where both H and h have been burned. No angst between the two main characters but the evil doers pop back up to stir the pot.
The evil doers comeuppance is beyond epic and verges into the gruesome territory. Gotta say, don't cheat in a Darlene Tillman book if you want to live or at least not get dismembered.
DNF at 50% I tried but could not This book was boring and boring I am not interested in their daily life schedules with both h and H are uninteresting boring people The h was really a idiotic person i really never understood her reticence for sex if she was virgin understandable but the way she kept on harping no sex is something i don’t understand.
The H with his cringey endearment and so understanding was totally unbelievable.
His Forever by Darlene Tallman is a contemporary romance. Our heroine relocates after finding her fiance in bed with her friend. Her car breaks down and she meets our hero Zeus.
I really liked how they start off as friends before taking it to the next level. Now, I did have problems with this book. The communication between our H & h doesn't feel natural and no it isn't because Spanish is mixed in. Almost every time they spoke they said each other's name. Then every single time it felt like it was time for the book to end, it's natural ending, it kept going. Another good point, the sexiness once it started, was decent. Sorry, I just didn't feel this one.
First time I’ve read this authors book! It was sweet and romantic with a little drama. Marleigh finds her fiancé is cheating with her best friend. She turns to her cousin for help. She is all packed up and on the road with her two fur babies when her car breaks down. She call a tow truck driver and can feel the attraction. With only a few hours of being single and all of the heartbreak being in a relationship their is no way she is acting on anything. Zeus goes above and beyond to make Marleigh welcome after seeing that she is upset. His family take her on as one of their own and she begins to mend some fences with her own family. They both are keeping secrets and need to come clean with one another. The heart knows what it wants right from their initial meeting.
I could not put this book down. I literally kept reading it all day. I highly recommend this book. Marleigh was set to be married to some one she thought she loved only to find him with her best friend. She ended up breaking down on the side of the road and had to call for a tow. Zeus went to tow the car of the woman who had called in broken down. Seeing her he knew he had to help. He brought her home to his Mama’s he got her a place to stay and job and over time their relationship grew. This book had so much in it. So many things couples have to over come and deal with. I absolutely loved this book
Really enjoyed this book so much. Loved Marleigh and Zeus together. It was like insta-attraction and insta-love which both were so deserving of. This book had some angst, drama, great sex scenes and a storyline that just flowed. Really enjoyed the close knit family of Zeus's and his Mama wow!! And the little miracles at the end heartfelt. Just really a refreshing read. This was my first book I have read by this author and it won't be my last. Thanks Jamie Nibarger Ellis
Ok, I want to start of by stating I did have an issue with this book. Please here me out before you hate me. There is a gay couple, not the main couple, but still important in my opinion. There are some places where being gay is described as a choice. It is NOT, you are born that way. Moving on, this story will play your emotions. There is a phrase that was used too often in my opinion but it didn't stop me from finishing. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance at love and sometimes it can come when you least expect.
Zeus & Marleigh's story is very enjoyable! There's some drama, but it's outside of their relationship & they're together through the whole story. They start out with a pretty instant attraction, but because of her history, they strike up a really great friendship. I love how everything falls into place for Marleigh when she gets to town!
The family dynamics & supporting characters all get huge thumbs up, too. This reads very well as an ensemble cast, while still maintaining the focus on our main h & H & their HEA.
Marleigh was betrayed, felt broken and unloved. Then she broke down and felt completely wrung out. Zeus was her light in shining armor who rose in and saved her. She built a new life in a new town and found happiness. She found her soul there. When Zeus helps Marleigh through every obstacle thrown their way will she trust him with all he secrets and all her pain? More importantly could they both find the love they never thought possible? Beautiful story.
Zeus and Marleigh are such a perfect couple. They fit together so well. Betrayal may have caused Marleigh to flee the scene of that hurt and start over somewhere new. Breaking down and calling for a tow brings Zeus into her life. That one small action changes the course of both their lives. I felt like I was watching this couple's life unfold. It was so sweet; they built a relationship and a life with their friends and family with just a little drama to liven things up. Just a lovely read, I deeply enjoyed His Forever!
This book starts out well but moves slowly. I found too many step by step details that were tedious. The storyline is good, the characters likable. This book really wasn't one I would normally read. It's a small town, insta-love finding your way back. A good poo/beach read.
I really enjoyed this book. It wasnt a rushed love and sex kind of book. It was a slow build, let me show you why I am worth your time and heart. For me the whole story flowed. Now from a personal standpoint I didnt need the multiple future glimpes in the epilogue. They dont hurt the story I am just not a huge fan.
Marleigh left town in hurry after she found her fiance sleeping with her best friend. Only to.have her car break down on her. She calls a wrecker service owned and operated by Zeus Alvarez. Fate was on her side. Different and enjoyable, good read.
"His Forever" by Darlene Tallman is a great read. I enjoyed Zeus and Marleigh's story. This story has drama, romance, close friends and family, overcoming events in the past, new beginnings, and more. Recommend to all fans of romance.
The right person is always worth waiting for. Zeus gets a call for a tow and finds the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. After challenges they must face together bring them even closer together forever is not far off.
I love the way Zeus and Marleigh meet and become friends first. They way they fell in love.the way Zeus stood by her and showed her he loved her even if she couldn’t have kids.
Never enough? I doubt that. The harder it is the more it's worth it. Even thou the mom is a b*tch, in the end, their love was stronger. This book is a good reread!! You'll want it more than you realise!
So for me, this book was a little blah/bland. But I am used to high angst/drama and this was very low key with some minor drama. It was ok, but not enough to keep me entertained. No offense to those who like it, just not for me.
I these kind of stories. Instant attraction with enough confidence to go for what they want. Both Marleigh and Zeus have been let down in the past. But they’re strong characters and won’t be held down. Fate! Loved it.
Zeus & marleigh were just perfection. This was my first book by this author & I loved it this was such a heartwarming story. Loved the family dynamics.
This author has a way of delivering such heartfelt beautiful stories with characters you can't help but love and become attached to!! Adored this story !
This was an awesome story. Another book that can make you laugh and cry. I enjoyed the characters as well as the storyline. I love a happy ending plus a little extra.
