Shao Xuan joins a friend in his expedition to a recently discovered archaeological cave. After he picks up an ordinary looking stone he is teleported to a different world and wakes up in the body of a small orphan child. The world he is in now is still in it’s stone age with primitive tools made of stone and the ways of the people are savage. Savage isn’t the only thing special about the people though, because they have superhuman strength, jump higher than trees and punch stones, in short they are able to cultivate their bodies. Despite all this, it is a real struggle to survive because of the scarcity of the food. Together with Caesar, his wolf pet, he tries to survive in this cruel world.
Really boring! This is a book about a bland someone who for some reason goes back in time (and to a different world) and does the slice of life for reasons and stuff. Tribal snooze happens and then it happens again.
This is well written for the average Chinese translated novel, but it’s so narratively dull. The authors other book, Superstars of Tomorrow, was similarly written. Except for the fact that it had the perfect backstory to make the narration compelling, characters you were emotionally invested in, and amazing imagery. Also slice of life works much better in a story about the entertainment circle than a prehistoric survival one.
Quite enjoyable journey. amazing character development for MC and i love the world building. Sadly this novel lack of romance. But still really enjoyable read
Not the typical overpowered ML with distracting romance plot or even ascending to a higher plane.
This story is more down to earth. It's about Shao Xuan's story in embarking on an adventure in pre-civilisation or in a primitive world.
Xuan is not childish and far from typical Cdrams arrogant ML.
Allow me to be transparent upfront, the first several hundred chapters are a FIRM 10/10. Then it dips to an 8/10, and eventually has a 6/10 ending. Why did I still give it 5 stars? For two reasons: extremely high and resonant enjoyment, and it's peak (and averaged) quality.
I imagined this as Avatar but without the romance sub-plot.
Not a bad read. It’s not the continuous build of power to level up after transmigration. It’s more clan and tribe life in the wilderness while learning about the tribe’s origins. Its village tribe growth lead my the overpowered MC. No romance. No system giving out tasks to the MC to earn points. Just a pop up family in the epilogue. Worth reading once
