Powerless and filled with raging anger for half his life, an avenger grasps hold of what was to be his redemption only to find despair and darkness. His mind lost, his anger went on to bring about the path of carnage. He is, but an inextinguishable flame that threatens to consume everything; all in the name of retribution.
Death was but a moments reprieve for his agony. His rage overflows even after the sweet release. Unable to be snuffed out by the laws of the world, he is granted life once more In a different era. All those whom his vengeance is focused on, vanished into obscurity with the passage of time.
What does one who has all the power of the world at his finger-tips do, when all the reasons for that power have vanished?
Really good book. The actual plot is complex and has action scenes, epic battles with magic (that, unlike other classic magical systems, the magic actually is really powerful, complex and it really shows *true strenght*). The plot thickens with cliffhangers keeping you intrigued as well as mysteries that slowly unravel . The main character - Kaidus - is a person who has reincarnated. But in his previous life, he was a powerful being capable of wiping out whole kingdoms. With his power being in the range of the mythical and legendary "Dvitus" mage rank, Kaidus protects those close to him as he goes about living his life, while simultaneously and sistematically eradicating the Tal'hras (bad guys who do a lot of messed up stuff, like alot, really gorey) with ease. Being a feared Destroyer, Kaidus, with his overpowered abillities goes on and accidentally bullies some top-ranked mages (Malizurs) and baffles the capital of a kingdom with his Elemental Lords, spiritual and powerful companions who obey him and protect those close to him. While still being haunted by his previous life's failures, the last descendant of The House Of Andarg, Kaidus will do anything to protect those who are in need of help, and bring justice as well as the primordial light of hope wherever he goes ( literally and figuratively). Oh, and did I mention our protagonist is a loner who just cannot get away from the ladies!

Well. The author is a beginner and it shows. I liked the concept of a reincarnated mage, the worldbilding. What I didn't like were the characters, they are not well written. They are flat, one dimentional, extreme, their actions felt forced, not believable. I'm not buying 17 year old (and around) teenagers picking on 7 yeard old child, even trying to kill him. Someone is jealous and instantly hates the other person. I'm not buying it either. Hate is too strong emotion to use in such situation. I would say that hate requires more reason, but characters in this book are just that - unreasonable. Despite that it wasn't that bad. I liked how OP Kaidus was. I may even read the second book.
THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING!!! I loved every part of this book. I highly suggest this book for those who liked the anime "Overlord". Not many books can pull off reacranation. The MC is very OP. So if you don't like that sort of thing, this book is not for you. Now a days every fantasy plot is the smae, but this brings a whole new idea and world that I haven't seen before. (Loved it so much, but be prepared for heart break at the end of B2. )
19.5.2020 - 4,5* Doing re-read. I am reading the story at author's page now and I have to say - it's much better. I don't know if the author made some editing or what but the reading now is more smooth and pleasurable. The ideas and very well written world have the chance to shine because much better writing style. ^^
