Can a chance encounter that leads to a one-night stand mean something more?
Tony D’Amato believed it did, but it seemed his lover thought otherwise because she pulled a ‘wham bam thank you man’ on him. Crushed, he eagerly jumped on his bosses’ offer to work in another state.
Having been the product of a one-night stand Denise Mills wasn’t willing to let the feelings consuming her take over her common sense. Learning they had a connection that could end her short career, she ran. It was a decision she regretted instantly.
Can life find a way for them to meet again? Will they find their HEA?
And as most of you know by now, I'm always completely honest when it comes to my reviews.
This is how I saw this one.
Firstly, I HATE ONE NIGHT STANDS STORIES! In the past, I may have tolerated a few, but now it's more of my pet peeve or as we say in French "ma bête noire."
For me, When one or both main characters start off their relationships with no expectations but a simple sexual gratification, I feel like they are not really invested in it. This is just my own thing here!
However, since CM is one of my favorite authors, I gave it a shot and it was surprisingly not horrible. But I still didn't love it.
For me, when the hero was thinking this, Tonight I was taking her, and was afraid to tell her I wasn’t giving her back. From the first moment I spotted her, I knew where I wanted this to end. With her in my life until we’re old and gray.
And she was thinking this, Anthony had been amazing and it was everything I thought my first time could be, but he wasn’t looking for forever. A couple of drinks and a pretty girl offering up free pussy was a no brainer. He’d been everything I hoped for, but I remembered what men were after.
The book was almost completely ruined for me!
Secondly, She left him AFTERWARDS and the oops baby did not even save this story for me. The fact that she was on birth control, tells me that she was actively looking to have sex for the first time.
You know that deal, just getting rid of her virginity!
SHE WAS READY FOR IT AND SHE PUSHED THEIR SEXUAL ENCOUNTER, NOT HIM! I really can't tell you how much I dislike that!
However, what saved the whole book for me was the amazing hero! I LOVED ANTHONY! He was swoon worthy and alpha! And ....
Also, that EPIC EPILOGUE 20 years later was SWEET! So it wasn't all bad in fact it's might be my favorite ONE NIGHT STAND BOOK in a long time.
I would only recommend this book to those who like novellas with ONS and the oops baby story.
Now, I'm really glad I read it and I will continue to read books by CM as she hardly ever disappoints me.
Happy reading. <3

To be able to dive into a book without having to scope out the things in it that I may not prefer is very rare anymore. I love that CM Steele is consistent when it comes to giving us low angst, instalove, sexy, safe reads. To me, that's worth it's weight in gold.
Nick is the head of security for the Middleton's. He sees his girl and it's love at first sight. Her insecurities kept them apart for a few months but he tracks her down and they get their happily ever after - with double epilogues, one being 20 YEARS out!
Book info: - Novella - Dual virgin - ONS - Surprise pregnancy - Insta-love - HEA
Tony and Denise met in a bar, and they ended up sleeping together. It was insta-love for the both of them, but then Denise thought that Tony wouldn't be serious about her, and she also found out that they were working in the same hotel and there's a no fraternisation rule, so she made a disappearing act the next day.
Two months passed, and Denise found out she's pregnant thanks to her nasty former roommates who tampered with her birth control pills. She planned on telling Tony about this but was afraid of him thinking she was only trapping him.
Anyway, I think another month passed, and Tony found out some revelations about his birth and family. After resolving this, he went to the hotel to finally take back his girl. He was surprised to see she was pregnant, and this made him very possessive and protective of her. Eventually, they got back together and found their HEA.
Overall, I had so much fun reading all the books in this series. I really enjoyed that all of the couples here are first and only for each other. I mean, it was unbelievable, but this is fiction and what I need at the moment, and these novellas are a great palette cleanser from reading too many dark romances.
Anyway, I love all the books in this series, and I enjoyed reading each couple's book.
This is last book we'll be reading of the Middleton Clan for awhile, as C.M. Steele declared it but I don't mind waiting for the rest of this Clan because all that I've read are amazing. I can't believe the twist that this one had though, I never saw it coming. Tony and Denise like the rest of the brothers' and their women, are destined to be together ♡ I loved how even the obstacles no matter how small, wouldn't stand in their way. I understood Denise's predicament of not being like her mother and it made me sad that there are women out there who deserve to be mothers and sometimes can't be and then there are women who should never be mothers and can have babies, doesn't seem fair but unfortunately life isn't fair. But nonetheless, after finding out she's pregnant with Tony's baby which wasn't either of their faults but Denise's roommates who were just nasty and mean (they somehow sabotaged Denise's birth control pills, that's how she got pregnant) but Denise put them in their place, lol, also she thought that it was best to not tell Tony in that moment and left. Of course, our hero, Tony was devastated and couldn't understand why his Denise left him but don't worry, it won't last because he will find her and he will get the surprise of his life... apart from finding out that the Middleton brothers were his cousin. That was the most shocking twist I've had in a while but I was glad that he found out and could interact with his grandfather, (Tony's father died and he was he second son of his grandfather). Tony didn't have a good childhood because his stepfather was awful and abusive, that's why he never let himself be involved in a relationship because he was afraid of becoming his father, who he didn't know wasn't his father until later, major twist.
When Denise and Tony reunite 3 months later, let's just say the Alpha male of the Middleton brothers shows and he vows to never let them be apart again ♡
I loved the epilogue and I'm glad that Denise and Tony could have their HEA because they deserved it; two people who had bad childhoods, not so great parents or step-parent, overcame everything and found each other and their love and finally had their happily ever after ♡♡
Holy crap!!!! I loved this book! Im pretty sure Tony and Denise short circuited my kindle. That second epilogue? CM has upped her already fantastic game!
This is the fifth book in the Middleton Hotel series and I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of it from C.M. Steele. In the first book in this series, Built For Me we were introduced to Tony, he is the head of security of the Middleton Corporation. Tony is 23 years old, retired from the Army because of an injury and not only an employee but he's also close friends with Jacob Middleton. He has recently reconnected with his little brother, Andy and he's meeting him at a local night club. Denise was born from a one night stand and her parents always treated her like they resented her. She's now 18 and sharing an apartment with a few girls who are not the nicest people. Tony doesn't want to be in a club but all that changes when he sees Denise. He knows immediately she's the one for him now he just has to convince her. I don't want to give any spoilers away so I'll just say they get separated for a few months, he finds out life changing news and then they're reunited. Tony and Denise are a great couple and they like to get down and dirty in this steamy as hell book.
Dang it I am disappointed that this is the last book in the series. This time we have Tony and Denise's story. It's an Instalove that has some twists and turns. A very Happily Ever After.
100% safe from any kind of abuse, no cheating, no ow/om drama.
Tony, head of security for the Middleton Hotels, is helping his brother, Andy, celebrate his birthday. However, the venue, a bar, isn't Tony's type of place. He's never been one to hook up with a girl just because. He's waiting for his one.
Denise is out with her friends, err roommates, because they're determined to see her have fun. The bar scene is not for her, not to mention she's only eighteen and is inside, and drinking, illegally.
When Tony and Denise see each other the connection and attraction is instant. Both have never felt this way and know they've found something special. When they spend the night together, it's not only explosive, but as it's the first time period for both of them, the feelings are intense and Tony is already planning their future. Unfortunately, Denise, fearing she's read too much into their encounter, makes a hasty getaway the next morning, letting Tony off the hook, or so she believes.
Tony wants to immediately track Denise down, however, Jacob, his friend and boss, needs his help on a personal matter for three months. (If you've read Built for Me, Jacob's story, you'll know why. *wink*) When Tony returns he gets unexpected, but very happy, news, concerning his past and future.
Denise knows she needs to tell Tony, but she's scared. In all honesty, both possible reactions make her anxious, but she knows she loves Tony and misses him like crazy.
What did Tony learn about his past? How will the discovery impact him, and his friendships with the Middletons? How will Tony react upon seeing Denise and realizing the full extent of what happened that night? Will Tony and Denise get their HEA?
One-click now and follow along as two people, both virgins *fist bump* find the one they've been waiting their whole life for. Psst...Tony is a dirty talker...yeah, he grows into it, but he's a natural. *fans herself* I highly recommend reading this whole series.
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.**
I completely enjoy each and every Middleton book the CM Steele writes and this one is no different. It is fresh, hot and a panty “melter”. It is now one of my favorites in the Middleton series, for when you read this story you’ll understand why. Tony D’Amato is the head of security for the Middleton's. He ends up meeting this beautiful woman at a club that he was supposed to meet his brother Andy at. Denise is shy yet she captures all of Tony’s attention while at the club. Due to some excitement , the two leave and from there spend the night together where Tony falls head over feet for Denise. Denise feels the same but something spooks her and she runs away before he wakes up in the morning. Twists and turns abound before these two lovebirds can connect again several months later. It’s a erotic, sexy, and deep insta-love story with many twists and turns for all in this story. I loved Tony-his alpha protective ways and his immediate love for Denise. And Denise, she is a independent woman who is sweet and oh so in love with Tony, not what Tony could give her. This was such an awesome story. I LOVED it!
My Rating: 4.7 stars ***** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
I loved this story. While it is part of a series, you can read alone. I don't want this series to end...it is amazing! I do recommend you start from the start since a couple of characters are included from other books in the series. What I loved most...insta-love, alpha male, and happily ever after. This series rocks with the epilogues! Not only does it have 1, but 2 so you get to see the couple down the road. I hate when a book just ends once a couple gets together. After reading this series, I expect all my books to have extended epilogues and am disappointed if they don't...CM Steele has spoiled me with the most awesome book endings and epilogues ever!!! Other books no longer compare.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. But since CM Steele puts all her books on Kindle Unlimited to start, I have always gotten them anyway. She is one of my favorite, must read authors as soon as her books come out. Getting an ARC just gets me a chance to read it a couple of days early:)
Holy over the top Alpha. From the second that Tony saw Denise he knew that he had to have her. From just the sight of this little woman she woke something in him that had laid dormant for all of his adult life. But with just one touch their relationship moved at lightning speed. Denise had never had these type of feelings with any guy that she had ever met, but there is just something about Anthony that makes her want everything that she has been denying herself. She wants to give into this man and take everything that he has offered her,but she knows that she cannot have what she wants. She will not turn out to be like her parents. When fate steps in for them both, they get what they truly wanted, a lifetime of happiness, and love with a partner that the fire never dies down for. I loved this series so hard, I can't wait to see what C.M has in store for us next.
I did receive this book as a free ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
This is another short story novella in the series. In this story we follow Anthony or 'Tony'. He works as the head of security for the Middleton family hotel business. He served in the military was overseas, got injured and came back to the states. He sustained injuries to his body, no missing limbs just scares.
We also have Denise. She was new in town and lived with a few girls in an apartment. However sometimes girls are cruel and mean. Her roommates were just that, Cruel and mean to her.
They met at a nightclub after running right into each other. But Denise ends up leaving her hunky man.
Tony tracks her down of course. Through a twist we find out that Tony is a Middleton cousin. He lives and lives with his family.
Tony is head of security and he was on his way to been his brother at some club, which is so not his thing, but because it's his brother he went. Denise is out with her room mates as according to them she needs to get out. And when she meets Tony as like him she is instantly attracted to him. Tony knows that he has found the one women that is meant for him
But they get separated and some surprises are in store for this couple.
Loved every second of this short, hot steamy and dramatic book. I hope this is not the end :-(
I don't know what it is but every time I read one of your books. When I get to the end I want more. Tony and Denise story is that you never know when you will meet your true sole mate. Tony was set in his ways believing there is no one out thier for him. And with his horrible past he didn't want to bring a woman into it. Denise is another lost soul trying to fit in. And when her roommates bring her to the bar. It was for a different reason. When they see each other it's instant connection. Why fight what feels so right. I don't want to spoil it anymore but. But I will say the sec scenes are smoking hot.
Loved this book! We were briefly introduced to Tony in Jacob's book as Harley's behind the scenes bodyguard. I gotta say, I think Tony is my favorite from the Middleton series. I just felt more of a connection to his character than the others. He was sweet and caring but could definitely get down & dirty. I think the second epilogue showed us that. Also loved the secret that was revealed about Tony. Sorry to be vague, but I don't want to give away too much. Completely safe read with a happy ending. I highly recommend reading it!
I just couldn't get enough of the Middleton brothers, so I was delighted that this series is far from over! Built Overnight is a standalone novella featuring Tony D'Amato , head security for the Middleton Hotels. I love the surprise about his identity and how his perfectly neat world was made more exciting by the first and last love of his life, Denise. They both have admirable characters and I loved the new family they created. Fantastic read!
I have received and read an advanced copy of this book and this is fair and honest review voluntarily shared.
3.5 Stars I enjoyed this story and devoured it in one sitting. I will admit that I wanted more story. I wanted more scenes between Denise and Tony. I liked this story but the majority of it was about Tony, his past and revealed secrets. When Tony and Denise were together, the chemistry was clear to see. I liked them, as a couple but wanted more of them. I really liked the two epilogues and it was clear to see the passion between Denise and Tony still going strong. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for C.M. Steele’s next release.
I really enjoyed this story about Tony and Denise. Their back stories just pulled on my heartstrings and really made me so happy they found each other. They are perfect together. You gotta love that strong determined man and a woman willing to do what she must. This story felt a little different than the others to me, but that only added to the story. Everyone should read this short, but steamy love story.
Another great addition to the Middleton Hotel Series. Love Tony's blue eyes!!! I'm a sucker for those. His insta-love, protectiveness, and possessiveness fall right in line with the other Middleton males. Was nice him finding out he's a Middleton also. Would've like a little more background on both the H and the h. Denise is just as sweet as the other h in the series. Strong also. Definitely recommend.
Awful, even for a novella. He's a virgin who tells her he wants to fuck her all night within the first minute of meeting? Yeah, sure. She's a virgin who gets scared because there were shots fired in the club when they met so she wants to go to his place to have sex because...fear. Normally I love virgin heroes, but this was a big no in every way.
This was poorly written, poorly conceived. I'm glad it was free.

Again with the v card carrying H! Although even with that said I can completely understand his reasons for not getting involved with anyone before Denise. I was so looking forward to their story especially since we seen snippets in the 3rd book. But I felt like there wasn't enough interaction as a couple I don't know if it's where the story was so short or not. I did enjoy the little twist with Tony's parentage though!
°Virgin hero °Virgin heroine °Switching POVs °Insta love/lust °Hero is 23, heroine is 18 °Both faithful after meeting and during separation °3 month separation °Free of OW/OM drama °No cheating °Surprise baby °Immature heroine °Sweet protective obsessed OTT alpha hero °Very mild BDSM °Intimate scenes only between hero and heroine °Epilogue: 8 months and 20 years later married with 6 children and another on the way
