Mia Roussel is putting her life back together. She's had therapy, she has two new jobs, and if her ex-boyfriend will just stay away, she'll be just fine. Especially if Konstantin Angelov has anything to say about it.
Kon's family is...different. And as soon as he catches Mia's scent, he knows he's found something special. He plans on taking it slow, taking it easy, and giving her plenty of time.
Unfortunately, Mia's violent ex has plans too, and Kon might have to do a little more than growl to keep his new mate safe...
She does write some cute romances. If you liked her Taken, you'll like this one.
Re-read on August, 2017. I'm not sure I'd give this book a 3 star on the second time around. Her whiny, always so scarred by life, terrified heroines are difficult to accept, even if they always find their will/backbone at the end. But there's that one moment when you'd kill them or wish them dead. But yes, still here I am.
I'm a big Lilith Saintcrow fan, I really enjoy her writing style and dark humour (Anna Beguine is a pseudonym). This story was a fun read, but I felt like the romance was missing some heat and commitment, and the ending was slightly unsatisfying for no apparent reason. Nevertheless, I enjoyed reading it and don't regret buying it, and I'll try the next book in the series when it comes out.
The heroine was too stupid to live. She has an abusive ex and a restraining order but she agrees to meet him for coffee in a public place. What a moron.
Considering who this author is I was expecting a bit more from this story but I'm interested to see where the series goes from here. I hope each book focuses on another character.
