So I am not sure how to write this review so here goes.
I really wanted to like this book. I usually do like Cassandra's stories but this one was weird, I guess is the word I want to use. I didn't like any of the characters that much.
Abby is the nanny that is just hired. She goes in thinking she is going to watch a young child (like most nannies do). But she is going to watch a 13-year-old girl. Abby has a problem talking to herself and that really bothered me. She also has a problem getting into everyone's business. She just can't leave well enough alone. And I understand to a point, I do. But she gets into some trouble with it.
Malcolm the father and Abby's boss is different. He is older than Abby but acts like a teenager at times. When he shows his attraction to Abby he acts like he is 15 instead of a grown man. When it comes to his child he has no interest in her at all, which should turn Abby off, since she is so busy getting into Trina's business. So I don't understand it.
Trina is a brat. She swears like an adult but acts like her age. She has a learning problem and instead of telling anyone and her parents acting like parents they let her leave school and drop out at the age of 13 and ignore her. Then when Abby shows up and wants to help her Trina gets away with calling her a whore. This bothered me. As well as letting Trina dictate Malcolm and Abby's relationship.
So these are my opinions and I would read others reviews and make your own decisions before reading or not reading this book. I did finish this story and would read other books by Cassandra. This book just bothered me. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy for my honest review.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
She has been the maitre d’ on this luxury yacht for years. This is going to be her final event. Veronica is going home. She has just this one last event and then home. Sounds so easy and peaceful. It would have been any normal day for her, until HE came aboard and requested a lot of special items of interest from her and the most special item is her. What is Veronica to do, she is caught in the middle of the road. One one side what the Prince is asking of her is completely against the rules, but on the other side of the road this is her last trip and her body has a mind completely all it's own.....
He boards this yacht on very important business. He is used to everyone throwing themselves at his feet for anything and everything he desires. So he considers the beauty in front of him a challenge when she would rather follow the rules than give in to what she is desiring, what HE is desiring from her. When Prince Said finds out this is her last event, he spares nothing to make her his.....
Prince Said comes aboard the yacht with a briefcase and a bodyguard. To Veronica this is nothing unusual, in the sense of she never makes it her business to be nosey. No, but she does make the passengers and guests wants and needs met. So when she asks if there is anything she can do to help make his trip/event more to his liking, she is stunned with his request....it is for her to be his and at his beck and call. At first she is shocked and duty bound. Giving him the rules and the reasons why she would be turning him down. Prince Said does not take that at all, he knows he wants only her, and he can see she is torn but wants him too. He is after all the client and he pushes that button. What else is there for Veronica to do, but to please him.
She ends up being at Prince Said's beck and call, and then some. He is demanding, unwilling to bend when he wants something, and strict with his rules being followed. Veronica's body betrays her when her mind is going through all the rules, and she succumbs to things she never thought she would do and more importantly like and enjoy. Prince Said puts Veronica through a lot and he knows just what he wants and needs. Neither of them knew this was a missing piece in their life either.
During one particular "meeting" between Prince Said and Veronica, he informs her that she will be following him and never more than a few feet away from him during the big event happening, he even informs her she will wear the dress he has sent to her. He can see the conflict in this for Veronica but he forges forward. She battles her wits and wills and does just what he requests of her. There is a shipmate who is not hiding the fact he finds what Prince Said has, at that moment which is all it is, and Veronica sees him display this to her through eye contact and actions. However, what the shipmate doesn't realize is the simple move of the Prince seals that want immediately, that gesture is an arm around her waist and a pat on the butt. That is the tip of the seal on this deal. The shipmate never stood a chance.
In all the "meetings" that Veronica and Prince Said have there is no kissing. An intimacy that is not unnoticed by her and stated by him of it being too personal. But on the evening of this big party things change. Prince Said is not demanding and rough like usual, this time he flat out kisses Veronica. They are both caught off guard and both eager to give in. This is personal and intimate. The realization strikes both of them. From here there is a quick twist that leaves the happy ever after to happen, however, I feel it leaves the door open for another book, more about what happens from this moment on.

When Crown Prince Said of Brunei exclusively books the luxury yacht Diamantina, Veronica expects a middle-aged, greasy, womanising sleaze; but the man is anything but. Veronica has been maitre d’ on the Diamantina for five years and while she loves her job this is to be her last cruise; it is time for a change. Prince Said’s magnetic presence consumes Veronica’s whole awareness, but she is taken aback when he asks her to procure a woman for him; not only that but the woman is to be her. Veronica would go about her usual duties, but when he called for her, she would come. Veronica has not known anyone since she came on board the Diamantina, but wonders how she can end a five year spotless record like this, even knowing that her subservience to the Diamantina’s guests overrode everything else; whatever he said, she would always reply, Yes Sir. Is Veronica ready to serve him, ready to receive his orders and obey him as her master? Prince Said has never once kissed Veronica and she longed for that most simple tenderness from him; if only she knew she mattered to him, but she is someone so far removed from her real self, she barely believes she is the same person. When Prince Said asks Veronica to organise a party for him he tells her she has to stand by his side; he wants everyone to know she belongs to him, his show piece, his trophy his prize. This was the first time ever in her years on the Diamantina that Veronica didn’t say goodnight to the guests or show them off the ship; she only served one master now. Prince Said says Veronica has surpassed his wildest dreams and rewards her with a kiss, but what did this mean; it has taken him three whole days to kiss her. He was not a Prince anymore, he was just a man with feelings, needs and dreams and he had given himself to her as a man; he had exposed his secret desires to her and she earned his love by accepting them. He didn’t have to tell her how he felt about her, she read it in his face and eyes, and she worshipped him more than ever when he made himself vulnerable. When Prince Said leaves the Diamantina he wants Veronica to accompany him; he is giving her a chance to serve him for a while longer; there is a connection now, but will she follow him? This was quite an engaging and sensuous story, but an enjoyable read nonetheless. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

This book was as sexy and erotic as I expected it to be. Veronica was a strong character who was a maitre d’ on a luxury cruise. She seemed to be one of those women who really had it all. It was the perfect job and ran a tight ship. She took it seriously and did it well. She had become someone she could be proud of. This was to be her last voyage before she went home to her family.
When Prince Said arrives on board, everything he asks for is against the rules, and not just the ones involving her job. Everything she's worked for, all of the respect, from others as well as for herself, are tried by the prince who wants her at his beck and call. Since he is a dominant, that leaves only one roll left for her. And when he begins, he penetrates her very soul, until she craves him. She finds herself wishing it could last even beyond this cruise as much as she wishes she could break free of him.
It is sexy and erotic, covering a detailed BDSM dominant/submissive relationship involving Pain Play. It was fast paced, and I read it in one sitting. There were moments of light, but the majority was dark and left me wondering how she was going to decide what to do and if she was going to survive not only what the prince had in store for her sexually, but if her heart would recover. There was a hint at the end of the book that the story could be revisited. I don't always read books that are this hard core, but it was well written. The characters were enigmatic and the story wicked.

This is an awesome, quick hot read.
Veronica has been working on the Diamantina for the past five years as the maitre D, she's decided it's time for a change and that this will be her final voyage on the impressive Yacht. Veronica has dealt with many difficult guests within the past five years and their sometimes unethical guests but she's all about getting the job done and making sure the guests are happy. She has never met a guest or a man for that matter like Prince Said.

After meeting Veronica he knows he wants to control her and wants only her to satisfy all of his needs on this her last trip. After he gets her hesitant agreement they have a whirlwind steamy three days and nights together. But now that their time is over could they have more? Especially as he broke the rules and kisses her!
This quick read that has enough steam to power a sauna! It's told totally from Veronica's POV and I would have liked some input from the Princes side but still definitely a great read with a HEA but there is an option for maybe another part of the story. Serving on a luxury yacht, Veronica and the other staff members watched a helicopter land on the stern’s helipad to discharge two passengers! Veronica greeted Prince Said of Brunei, but he was silent and made no eye contact with anyone. Veronica led them to a small room with a safe and gave instructions to the Prince on how to set a new combination and lock his valuables inside.
Once they started conversing about the dinner party the Prince had requested, he seemed strangely responsive to her respectful use of “sir” in discussing his orders. When she tried to show him to his quarters, he demanded she stay and answer some personal questions. When they eventually got to his quarters, he asked her to procure a woman for him for the entire trip; and that woman was to be HER! Would she allow herself to go along with this, despite having a job to do on the ship? Where would this lead, a brief fling before she resigns or something more?
This is not my type of book and I did not enjoy it, but the author’s writing was well done and easy to read. I voluntarily read a review copy of this book and my comments reflect my honest and sincere opinion.

I have read a few of the author’s books and this one leaves me with mixed emotions. Abby is a nanny who is constantly seeking a new position when her previous employments are terminated. Her agency sets her up to be a nanny for another client. Malcolm’s daughter, Trina, is thirteen years old and she is dismissive of everyone and everything. She does not attend school and all she does all day is lay on the couch listening to her music. Abby tries to reach out to the teen but it is an uphill battle. When Abby meets Malcolm, the sparks are immediately flying between them and they embark on a romance quickly. However, there is one large obstacle that needs to be overcome….Trina and her attitude. Will Abby be able to reach Trina to figure out what she is hiding? In trying to reach Trina, will she cause irreparable damage to the tenuous relationship that she has begun to forge with Malcolm or will she get her happily ever after?

I wouldn't be so horrible as to leave 1 star but I as really disappointed with this book 😞 For one he was just horrible/abusive to her, I can't see why a strong woman would ever allow some stranger to treat them like that? I was really waiting for a better man to come out and finish the story off happily but he was still an a**hole right at the end and she lost all respect! Who were the people who came on the boat who he made her look an idiot in front of? If she stayed with him, would he always treat her more like a slave than someone cared for? Because he certainly didn't show any care for her at all! and finally where was the ending??? it didn't have an ending? what happened next? Was there going to a HEA? More abuse and then dump her? I mean he could've been a murderer or a slave trader for all anyone knew? Sorry I HATE leaving less than positive reviews but this one didn't have any positives to leave

This is one of those books that I know is really good but makes me feel odd thinking about the treatment the prince gave Veronica. AS for Veronica she is a smart women with a great career yet she allows herself to be treated lowly. Okay, yes, there is some really hot domination going on at times and obviously Veronica liked it. But parts of me as a woman just wanted to b***ch slap the prince.
But to be fair, I did like the story more than I should and found that not all is as it appears. Would I read another book by this author. Of course I would. It was controversial and I could not just put the book down. So, mission accomplished.
When a book brings out feelings in you no matter what they may be it says a lot about the author. She grabs hold of your mind, morals and so much more. A great read if you can keep your moral compass pointed to the obvious.
But to be fair, I did like the story more than I should and found that not all is as it appears. Would I read another book by this author. Of course I would. It was controversial and I could not just put the book down. So, mission accomplished.

Veronica worked as a Maitre d' on a luxury yacht. This was going to be her last cruise before she took an extended vacation to visit her family. It was supposed to a normal trip until Prince Said came along. Prince Said saw Veronica and wanted her to serve him personally. He was rude and demanding and a jerk but he still kept her wet and wanting. He wanted to teach her the best way to serve him even if it was against all her company's rules. Will Veronica give into her desires or will she try to be business like?
This is a hot book but I wasn't happy with the way the Prince treated Veronica. She was strong enough to stand up to him but she acted like she was a harem member only wanting to please her master. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

Abby is a nanny that was hired to watch a 13 year old who ignored her. Her father Malcolm is attracted to Abby and they have crazy wild all night sex. Trina Malcolm's daughter who is a brilliant young artist, Abby discovers she can't read and offers to teach her. They spend one day going over the alphabet then Trina decides to tell her father and mother and she leaves to go back to her mother. The rest of the story is about how many ways Malcolm and Abby can get it on hot and steamy. The Barista and the Billionaire was ok. I really liked the Virgin and the Beast about a sports reporter and a boxer who is retiring because brain injury will eventually kill him. It was also hot and steamy but I liked how Chloe would not let Sonny die alone without having enjoyed life.

This is the first time I have read this author and I am glad I did. I am writing a voluntary and honest review for this book I received through ARC.
What I really liked about this book is that it set on a yacht and basically there are only a couple of characters. Instead of the usual billionaire with women hanging off of them but, this book went into another direction I found the book very hot I could also see myself as the character of Veronica the maitre d' of the yacht Diamantia. Her purpose is to serve the client and make sure they are taken care of while they are on the boat. But, she didn't realize her new Client Prince Said would take her to her limit will she submit or decide not to cross the line. All I can say is "Yes Sir"... highly recommend

When the need to be in control Prince boards, the Luxury Yacht Veronica is the Materi D on asks for more than her normal services provide. She hesitantly does as he asks. Quickly these two set off on a hot whirlwind few days and nights.
Now its time to part ways. Veronica is on her way to her hometown; the Princes time is up on the Yacht. Is this the end of the hot days and nights?
Alrighty, So. This is a fast paced shortie with a whole lotta hot BDSM some dark moments, an insta all type fantasy plot, which leaves you wondering if we are going to get another book out of this.

Veronica is the Maître d’ on the “Diamantina” yacht, boarding the yacht is Crown Prince Said of Brunei.
This was way out there, what you would call hotter then HOT or Hot as Hades as far as sex. Prince Said is a dominant man, who gets what he wants, when he wants it, and he wants Veronica. Veronica see something in Prince Said eyes and obey all his commands even though she feels as if he is degrading and humiliating her. The only thing missing was the whips and chains. This story is more on the line of BDSM with no true ending…..I've read some of Cassandra books but just could not get into this one.***Three stars

First book I have read by this author and enjoyed it. It's a little different from previous books I have read and is quite detailed of what the Prince does to Veronica, but if you like that then this is definitely the book for you.
Veronica works on board a ship and the Prince has come to stay and takes an instant like to Veronica. She tries to fight her attraction to him and his naughtiness at first, but ends up caving. Virgin for the beast bonus Chloe is a reporter trying to get an interview with Sonny McCann a boxer he is a stubborn man but she's more stubborn than him but this is a man with heart. Cute.

Wow talk about HOT. A whole lotta steam in this short read. Veronica has fulfilled most of her dreams during the past five years. Being a maitre d on a luxury yacht had been her life's goal. This is her last trip and one of the guests on the yacht is Crown Prince Said of Brunei. He tells her that her job is to satisfy all of his needs. No spoiler here, but a whole lot of drama, passion, chemistry, BDSM, kink and surprises. A great read with a HEA, a crown prince and no cliffhanger. I received a complimentary copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it

I found this book to be okay. On one hand, I didn't really like the characters and the way they behaved, but on the other, I was curious how the story was going to end up, so I kept reading.
It was a short read with lots of over-the-top descriptions where just the basic description would have sufficed. I will admit, I personally felt there were too many of these descriptions and found myself rolling my eyes whenever another one popped up.

Veronica is the Maître d' on a luxury yacht then she meets Prince Said of Brunei and everything changes. Prince Said is used to getting his way and having Veronica at his beck and call to please him in every way is what he wants. This is a steamy quick, well written story filled with intense dark sex scenes. The Prince and Veronica have scorching chemistry and a dom/sub relationship that will makes this quick read a page turner! Abby was hired on as a nanny thinking it is for a young child. When she arrives there she learns it is for a moody troubled 12 year old that doesn't want a nanny. To top that off the father isn't even home. Malcolm's doesn't know what to do with his daughter, she doesn't talk to anybody and his ex-wife and everyone else tells him to leave her alone and wait it out. Abby feels differently and works to find out why. The chemistry is strong between Malcolm and Abby. I really enjoyed this book. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Malcolm is a man who works hard for what he has and the only thing he has trouble doing is being a father. His daughter Trina isn't liking much of anything these days. Abby is a nanny who he hires to be at the house so Trina isn't alone. Will she be able to help these two mend whatever problems they have? The chemistry that Abby and Malcolm has is undeniable but will they give in to their attraction? I thought this book was a bit of a slow read for me that is why I am giving it 3.5 stars total.

What should have been a quick read ended up being drawn out. I just could not get into the premise of this story. A nanny for a 13 year old having issues? Malcom and Abby were quite taken with each other immediately and actions taken to show this. Which leads me to wonder about the personal traits and how it pertains to their main issue. Quite honestly, the resolution was quite quick and left the rest of the book a bit on the fluffy side.
