It makes you feel the pain of others; it allows you to nurture kindness for everyone around; it gives you the ability to understand the emotions of others, and it makes you more intuitive. While all these gifts are amazing, they are also burdening and exhausting. When you are constantly absorbing different emotions and feelings from those around you and even inanimate objects, and become overwhelmed when you receive innumerable stimuli at the same time simply because you can feel everything around you 100 times more than others can, you are likely to feel emotionally swamped. Feeling emotionally drained, exhausted, and perturbed all the time is not comfortable or healthy. When emotionally fatigued, you start feeling physically ill. Headaches, digestive issues, insomnia, and backaches are a few health problems empaths often go through and if you are one, it is very likely that you frequently suffer from these issues too. This does not have to be your life: you do not have to put up with the side effects of your wonderful gift. Because you have a gift, it is your duty to protect it and use it in the best way possible. This you can only do when you learn to recognize and acknowledge your gift, own it, and then protect your inner energy from outside elements that threaten to interfere with it. As an Empath, I never knew that meditation have a really big impact to my feelings and emotions.
