This is a very short self help book that packs in plenty of good advice. With lots of examples of how to fill in Armstrong's daily journal, it does a very good job of removing the obstacles from starting a worthwhile habit. I bought the Kindle version which comes with a printable and pdf fillable journal. Simplicity is its key.

I have tried to journal on and off but sometimes it is hard to connect. This one though has prompts that are witty and easy to follow. The key of this journal is that it sticks to the basics of mindfulness and has reminders each day to be thankful, meditate, brainstorm new ideas, and just celebrate. I really like how it has you start with a morning entry and then again at night this has helped me refocus. Overall it is a good addition and it is fun to go back and read.

My favorite aspect of this journal so far is the habit tracker and the way it's designed to avoid self-punishment or guilt if you don't complete your chosen actions every day. Success is simply a matter of checking in with yourself to revisit your goals in the morning and again at night and measuring the percentage of days you complete your chosen habits over 100 days.

Heath Armstrong combines aspects of the Five-Minute Journal, gratitude, vision tracking, and James Altucher's idea machine and "every day get 1% better" — all in one. It takes longer than five minutes, while still requiring minimal time to complete. The theory goes that developing a simple habit of positive focus at least twice a day ultimately extends into your entire day and then changes your life.

I don't care for using the word "ass" in relation to my happiness habits, so I change the word to "life" or "vision" wherever I can — for example, I say "sweet LIFE habit blaster." I can also see a "law of attraction" influence. But I love other aspects of this book, including the stitched together "reconstruction robot" aspect of the hand on the cover, raised in a fist and clutching an organic tree-shaped pencil. Self-made life, one day at a time, for the win!

Who doesn't want a sweet life? Since this journal is designed for turning problems into opportunities, I wonder whether Armstrong planned it that way when he put a "problem" in the title of the book. Solved, and I'm happier already.

I’ve been using the sweet ass journal and absolutely love it. This is really a book and journal in one. The book goes into detail about how to use each section in the journal, how to add these habits into your life, and why they’re important. Then the journal is divided into AM and PM. I love this. It really helps me start and end my day with intention.

The AM section has places to fill out what makes me smile, gratitude, what my two actions are that will get me closer to my goals, ideas, and a space for focusing on what I’m giving and minimizing each day. It’s so easy to stay busy working on things that don’t matter but this AM section really helps me focus on what does matter and what I should be working on.

The PM section has spaces for me to list my wins for that day, what I have an abundance of, my freedom actions I’ll focus on tomorrow, nightly affirmations, and a little area to review how my day went. It really sets me up for success the next day.

I’ve honestly found that I’m in a healthier mindset and more productive when I use it. I’ve made more progress towards my goals and have realized what goals really matter to me. I has really helped me so I highly recommend it!

If you couldn't tell from the title, the Sweet Ass Journal is refreshingly different than any other self help / journal books out there.

In my experience, most self help books are fairly bland and hard to stay interested. In this case, the author has quite the unique writing style that not only keeps you entertained, but also motivated to achieve your goals and think differently.

Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommended.

I loved this journal! I used it every day and it helped me over the winter months to stay positive and motivated towards my goals. I also used this in combination with the Domination Deck as Heath's cards are helpful to keep motivated throughout the day. I like the short format, and the boxes allowed me to feel that I didn't have to fill lines, and could draw images. I also could choose to write large letters or many small ones, depending on my mood. It's a versatile journal.

Starts as just another self published self help book, but it actually has some really good points.

Loving this journal! Not too far into my 100 days yet, but I love the prompts and it was JUST the thing I was looking to find for prompted journaling!
