Take Five: a story of jazz in the fifties

Rate this book
This book tells of a single weekend in 1958 when the Paul Bley quartet is playing at the Hillcrest in Los Angeles, a real club. We learn about the interactions of Paul Bley and Charlie Haden, Billie Higgins, Dave Pike, and the innovative Ornette Coleman. Along for the ride is Sanford Dorbin, a West Coast jazz poet. The incidents are based on real events, as the main characters are real jazz performers when they started their amazing careers. Included are pictures of the jazz musicians and West Coast places important to the narrative.

Pensé que era un libro de jazz más gráfico sobre la materia. Es aburrido y monótono. No lo recomiendo totalmente.
