De witte stad
Het grootste televisiestation van de planeet staat op het punt om het succes van de Aqua-missie bekend te maken, en daarmee zal de hegemonie van pausin Lodovica in het hele sterrenstelsel worden gevestigd. Voor die bekendmaking is een enorm ruimtestation in gereedheid gebracht. Onder duizenden halogeenspots worden de genodigden gepresenteerd door Frida Decibel, een lokale beroemdheid die zich nergens voor schaamt. Maar onder die genodigden bevindt zich een pop die alles kan veranderen. Haar naam is natuurlijk Noa.

Continúa la historia bastante interesante, aunque los dos primeros tomos me gustaron un poco más.

Onze "helden" gaan naar de planeet terug om daar als "helden" te worden ontvangen... Tja, dat is toch niet helemaal wat ze beiden willen, vooral niet Roy.
Maar ik ben af en toe echt de tel kwijt van wat en hoe. Zoals dat de wonderdoener Noa/Agape zijn dochter noemde... maar we weten allebei dat hij met zowel Agape als Ludovica sex heeft/had... Um, eww?
Ook het hele gedoe om Noa heen is best verwarrend, waarom zij? Waarom zit dat in haar? Kan die arme meid niet gewoon eens wat rust krijgen in haar leven zonder al het gedoe? Ze heeft volgens mij al genoeg meegemaakt, en verdiend wel eens een vakantie van alles. Ik was wel heel blij wat ze deed voor Roy, ook al betekende het dat ze nu nog meer in problemen komt.
Dan zijn er wat leukere momenten tussen Roy en Noa. Ik ship die twee echt heel erg, en ik hoop dat ze snel verder zullen gaan met hun relatie.
De religieuze oorlog begint steeds verder te escaleren, en ik ben bang voor de resultaten als dit zo doorgaat.
Ik vond het leuk om een nieuw karakter te ontmoeten, de dochter van Frida Decibel, Cleopatra! Die meteen voor Jahu gaat (en Jahu voor haar).

Ik blijf dit een mooie tekenstijl vinden. Niet dat ik daar een expert in ben of zoiets maar vind het passen bij het verhaal. Het leuke aan deze reeks is het meezoeken met Noa wie of wat ze nu eigenlijk echt is want ze heeft zelf ook geen idee.

I keep finding this a nice drawing style. Not that I am an expert in that or something, but think it fits the story. The nice thing about this series is finding out with Noa who or what she really is because she has no idea herself.

Inhalt
Roy und Jahu werden nach ihrer Rückkehr von Aqua als Helden gefeiert und sollen in der bekanntesten TV-Show des Alls auftreten. Gemeinsam mit Noa steuern sie die Station Gatamagra an, auf der die Übertragung stattfindet. Vor Ort müssen sie feststellen, dass hinter den Kulissen des populistischen TV-Spektakels alles anders ist, als sie gedacht haben.
Meine Meinung
Die Abenteuer von Noa, Roy und Jahu gehen in die dritte Runde. Bunt, grell und wild, mit tollen Zeichnungen, wie schon in den Vorgängern. Leider aber irgendwie nicht mehr so... prickelnd? Vielleicht liegt es daran, dass es sich im ganzen Band nur um diese TV-Show dreht, die von der äusserst unsympathischen Frida Dezibel moderiert wird.
So richtig viel passiert nicht, mehr auf der Charakterebene, was ja durchaus zu begrüssen ist. Tatsächlich aber habe ich nach Band 1 und 2 etwas mehr erwartet. Naja, immerhin kommen sich Noa, Roy und Jahu etwas näher und finden sogar noch eine neue Freundin.
Ziemlich verwirrt bin ich nun aber ob der Antagonisten. Tatsächlich dachte ich, es handele sich hier um eine Person (Assistent der Päpstin Ludowika), doch nun kristallisiert sich heraus, dass das immer schon zwei Personen waren - Absicht oder war ich da zu unaufmerksam? Für mich ist noch vieles offen und unklar.
Fazit
Das intergalaktische Abenteuer um die Roboterfrau Noa geht in die dritte Runde und kommt etwas gemächlicher und unspektakulärer als seine Vorgänger daher. Für mich trotz der Charakterentwicklung etwas schwächer als Band 1 und 2.

The third in the Sky Doll series continues the story of Noa, Roy, Jahu & Ludovique. "La Ville Blanche" is a little darker than its previous counterparts & definitely more fast-paced. Upon returning from their mission on Aqua, a celebration has been arranged which needless to say, does not go as planned.
Most amazing to me however, is that the impossibly beautiful art seems EVEN MORE well done than before! Magnificent!

The third book is the best. Seriously this one was very good. It’s still a big mystery what Noa’s destiny is going to be, but it gets clearer that she and Agape have a connection. Also I loved the action and the surprises in this story. I did not see it all coming. The book ends with another cliff-hanger and I cannot wait to read the fourth book in this series.

J'ai adoré encore une fois !
Pourtant cette troisième partie est plus lente à se mettre en place. En fait non car c'est un choix de narration très efficace. Tout commence assez lentement. On retrouve les protagonistes. Ceux-ci semblent être en face de problèmes titanesques qui ont tendance à grossir encore au fil des pages. On s'attend à une explosion. Celle-ci ne vient pas (encore) mais on a des révélations qui vous feront à coup sûr défaillir l'émotimètre.
En bref, c'est un troisième tome magistral et je me jette (enfin) sur le dénouement tant attendu.
Un conseil : il faut avoir le 4ème opus sous la main sauf si vous êtes du genre à bien gérer votre frustration !
Voilà à quoi je ressemble, si je dois patienter pour lire la suite...

Qué locura este volumen de Sky Doll. Se desarrolla casi todo en el estudio de televisión Gataflaca flotante que da vueltas por el universo. Es un circo ese lugar y su conductora estrella es todo un personaje. Se empiezan a agitar aún más las aguas y estaría necesitando conseguir el último volumen con urgencia.

Mais sombrio e definitivamente mais interessante que os volumes anteriores, as lutas de vontades e de crenças encontram-se em neste capítulo final de Sky Doll de forma explosiva, em que a narrativa ocorre a uma velocidade estonteante.
O fim, em aberto, é um desafio para os leitores mais imaginativos. Mas facilmente percebemos que a inocência não é mais uma possibilidade neste mundo em que se mistura entre o avanço tecnológico estonteante e as crenças primitivas de um passado longínquo. Esta dualidade de opostos resulta muito bem nesta banda desenhada para adultos, que nos obriga a fazer algumas perguntas bem difíceis, como só é possível em obras de ficção científica.

A sto giro, ahimè, perde una stella...
Ora, capisco la necessità di dividere il tutto su quattro volumi, ma in questo numero effettivamente cosa abbiamo scoperto di nuovo? A parte la fine, con lei che salva Roy e il colpo di scena del padre.
Si legge con talmente tanta lentezza la prima parte che le verità finali quasi ti lasciano comunque l'amaro in bocca.
Spero, però, di ricredermi con l'ultimo volume!

This one was a bit too wacky.
The characters shouldnt feel so acquainted with each other yet, but somehow it feels natural?? Idk, I cant properly explain it.
This is where Ive stopped reading, since there wasnt another volume in forever.
The Decade edition does add a chapter explaining Noas backstory (not too much, but enough to let you figure it our yourself) , so I recommend buying that.

Things got completely out of hand in this book and I'm not sure if I like it more or less for that. There are certain parts that are my favorite of the entire series here, but there are other parts that really just trudge along.

La Canepa è la maestra dei colori e va comprato solo per questo.

The best of the issues so far. I'm definitely drawn into this story now where I wasn't very into it before.

Relectura, la recordaba peor pero tiene cosas que se mantienen: algunas imágenes son bastante poderosas y aunque la trama flojea un poco alguno chistes sobre diferentes religiones funcionan bien.
