I don’t think I have expressed my love today for shy smaller submissive guys who just need to right Dom to calm them down. These guys get all my love!!
Wyatt has a very close relationship with his insurance office. That could not be avoided since he comes in at least 2 times a week to ask questions. Or it might have something to do with his crush on his insurance agent. His insurance agent who is also a Dom. And Wyatt knows he comes across as in idiot, a twitching mess at the best of times, but he has so much trouble repressing the urge to kneel whenever he sees the handsome Dom.
But Wyatt has no idea that Garrett has to constantly refrain himself from calling the restless young man boy and act more dominant around him. But since this is his client he can’t just pull him over his lap to spank him. Especially since Wyatt has no idea he is a Dom, or does he?
I loved this. This was very cute. The beginning was quite entertaining with Wyatt repressing the urge to kneel and let his inner sub out and Garrett trying to be less dominant.
When these guys finally give into their real selves things go more smoothly between them and Wyatt can finally stop feeling so uncomfortable and Garrett can finally let his inner Dom come out to play.
I do have to say that this ended a bit too soon for my taste. These guys just started a relationship and I wanted that just a bit longer before I felt their story was over. But still, this was cute, sweet, and a bit kinky.

I feel like this story ended juuuuuuuust when it was getting to the good part. I mean, I liked the build up as well, but I would have liked another 100 pages to show me what their relationship would develop into.

Garret junto con sus hermanos se han encargado de la empresa de corredores de seguros de su padre fallecido, pero el y sus hermanos no solo comparten el trabajo, sino tambien comparten sus intereses fuera del trabajo. Y siendo 3 de ellos Doms, 1 sub y el otro un swich, es facil para ellos hablar de sus intereses, sobre todo cuando su interes comienza a ser un joven (que sospecha es un sub) que va a su oficina por lo menos una vez a la semana para "aclarar" algo con su poliza.
Wyatt ya tiene mas de 1 año sin un Dom, y su cuerpo y su mente lo comienzan a sentir, asi que cuando comienza a sentir la atraccion hacia el Dom Garret, no puede evitar "visitarlo" cada vez que puede. Asi que cuando un dia Garret aparece en su trabajo, con la excusa de la firma de unos papeles, se da cuenta que quizas esa sea la oportunidad que ha estado esperando.
Ahora Garret y Wyatt deberan ver si una relacion entre ellos es realmente posible, y si sus expectativas de una relacion a tiempo completo puede ser lo que ambos realmente necesitan en su vida.
Para ser un libro introductorio de la serie resulto bastante entretenido y divertido. Me gusto el enfasis en la familia de Garret y en como se ayudan y apoyan entre ellos, incluso con la mencion de la mama de viaje, se ve que va a ser un gran personaje en los proximos libros. Ahora los protas, son sencillos, pero entretenidos. La trama es totalmente plana, pero dulce y romantica. El par de escenas eroticas son bastante descriptivas, pero no exageradas.
En fin, me gusto el libro como manera de pasar el rato, y va a ser una de esas series que se lee rapido, no solo por lo corto de los libros, sino por lo entretenidos de los personajes.

I liked this book better than book 2. However, these books are like soft porn. They give you the illusion of BDSM without any real substance. It’s like their having sex without an erection.

This was sexy, fun, sweet, adorable at times, and kinky in others! Really enjoyed it! Wyatt and Garrett were perfect for each other, and just what the other was looking for. I loved Wyatt's nerves, his bounciness, how he needed Garrett to center him and give him that focus. I think I will like this series!
I am listening to this in audiobook and the narrator is pretty good - some of the voices are hard to discern when all 4 brothers were together, but I'm getting used to everyone.

3.5 for this one. I enjoyed the start of this series - it finished way too quickly which was frustrating because it would have been great to watched the chemistry between these two really develop.
Perhaps I’ll get more in book 2 with the next brother❤️

The story itself was very well written. We were introduced to Garrett one of four brothers we will have the kinky pleasure of getting to know.
This is a very different dynamic of a BDSM novel. The whole family including the parents were in the lifestyle. Two dominant, a submissive and a switch. What fun we are going to have reading the remaining books.

I was super distracted this weekend so I may not have given this the attention it deserved. I hard time getting into it and was pretty much done by the 50% mark. This could have been a matter of bad timing on my part but I really did not enjoy it. The characters were wholly forgettable and the story was just blah. Not much else to say. No rating.

This is my first read by this author and it wasn't bad. I thought Wyatt was really cute and I really enjoyed how he acted in the beginning (and the rest too). The story is told from alternating POVs and when it came time to hear Wyatt's thoughts about the time he spent in Garrett's presence at the office, it was just too funny. All Wyatt wanted to do was kneel and submit, and it's the way he telegraphed his desires internally and to his best friend, I just laughed. He was so flustered and flummoxed! If he had only known that Garrett would have more than welcomed that behavior - how much time they could have saved!
Overall this was an ok story and had some good moments. I loved the relationship between these two and felt they were perfect for a each other. A match made only in fiction romance heaven. :) The narration I thought was the best part, and I don't think I would have enjoyed this story as much if I had been reading it. Sometimes it's hard to tell though, so it's possible I would have enjoyed the story equally had I read it.
Kenneth Obi is a new to me narrator as well, and I enjoyed his voice. He really was able to carry off these characters and their BDSM lifestyle. His voice for each man was distinct and I didn't wonder who was speaking. This was a well done production and I look forward to hearing this narrator again. And I wouldn't mind if that was with book 2. ;)

I couldn't put it down!
The blurb for this story caught my attention right away, so I took advantage of the preorder price and started reading it this morning as soon as it was released. I was not disappointed!!! Other than stopping for meals, I shamelessly neglected my family and any adulting I should have been doing until I finished the book.
Garrett and Wyatt were a PERFECT fit for each other. Watching Wyatt's shy and awkward "stalking" of Garrett at the beginning was hysterical, and then when Garrett finally caught on, it was GAME TIME. I loved that Garrett was so aware of even the unvoiced needs Wyatt had - how wonderful, to think of someone paying so much attention to your body language that they pick up on things you can't find a way to express. I just LOVED these two together.
I am THRILLED that there will be more in this series coming soon, because I can't wait to see what happens with the other characters!

Another HOT book by Shaw Montgomery. This book is about the Sweet Sub Wyatt who just wants to find the right Dom who knows and is ok with what he needs. And The Dom Garrett who seems to be perfect for him but just doesn't know it yet. So it takes a little bit for them to figure it out. But its a slow burn up to some really hot moments between the Dom/Sub.
The Audio is great and gives this book another dimension getting to listen and not just read the hot moments between the men. The Narrator did a good job. He is pretty good at the distinction between the two MC's voices. The only (small) complaint I have is that sometimes Garrett's voice seemed a little too high and too close to Wyatt's voice and some of the other character voices for being the gruff Dom. But overall good job by the Author and Narrator and I really cannot wait to hear the rest of this series.

This would have been a 4-star review if the story didn't end so abruptly. Why was this only 126 pages?? The pace of the book was fine and the development of their relationship was realistic. The MCs didn't even become sexual until 73% and the book ended immediately after . I flipped the page, thinking I was going to the next chapter and, lo and behold, it was the author's notes. Excuse me?! I would have liked to see more of their actual relationship and how it progressed. There were so many things the author completely bypassed or just skipped that we didn't get to experience with the characters.

I’m very confused. I don’t understand if this is an extract of a full book, or if this is the first book in a long series
This is not one of those books that has sex every single chapter since the beginning. It takes some time to start getting "hard", and it features a lot of pointless conversations.
That isn't bad exactly but...
The book is kind of sexy and it does manage the relationship between the protagonists in a good way. However, the book doesn't have any sex scene, and of course it isn’t as hard as it makes you thought in the summary.
I do not understand the whole point of the story. It isn’t as deep as it should be to make It a Drama, and this isn’t as explicit as it should be to make it an erotic book
The narrator knows how to do his job. The whole book you can tell the difference between every character, as well as the "narrator" voice.
He has such a sexy voice too.
The best: Wyatt is a nice character and I enjoyed his chapters a bit more than Garrett's.
The Worst: The first actually erotic scene comes after you've read the 90% of the book.

When you see a story contains BDSM elements, you almost automatically think it will be hot and kinky. This book was surprisingly sweet, and contained far less sex than I had expected.
It was also a hell of a lot shorter than I had anticipated, but that was on me, because the description clearly states it’s only 39k words. I missed that when I downloaded it through Kindle Unlimited, yet it’s one of my main ‘complaints’. It’s a bit of a conundrum, because can you fault a book for being too short? It’s not that the fact that it was too short in comparison to the price or anything. It was more that I felt the story wasn’t done. It had so much potential for…more.
I quickly checked to see if the story of Garrett and Wyatt was continuing in the other books in the Bound & Controlled series, but alas, those focus on Garretts brothers. I loved the interaction between Garrett and Wyatt, loved their dom-sub dynamic. I wanted to see way, way more of that. The happy end at the end felt rushed to me, especially since there was so much potential to develop the story further.
I read the other books in this series as well, Brent and Grant (book 4, Bryce, will be published soon). They’re highly similar in style, though with a slight difference in dynamic (I especially loved Carter’s character with his preference for more female clothes), but they’re all of the same length. They all left me wanting more!
The BDSM element is very much present in all books, yet at the same time surprisingly ‘light’ in terms of actual sex and kink. There’s some spanking and orgasm denial stuff, but it’s all pretty mild.
I loved the writing style, which felt natural and fluid. I spotted a few grammar, editing, and spelling mistakes, but not so many that they pulled me out of the story.
I definitely want to read more books by Shaw Montgomery, because I loved the style and topics, but I’ll be trying to find full-out novels instead of novellas.

Said friend is the MC of book #3, so I might skip ahead and just read that. This is supposed to be a set of stories about 3 brothers, but I super don't care about any of them. Also, cardinal sin of writing side characters, their names are too close to each other. Garrett, Grant, Brent. They are differentiated only by whether they're dom, sub or switch. They have no interests outside of spanking, so that's the only way to tell them apart. Apparently. *eyeroll*

Classic BDSM short with likable MC and side characters. There is really no conflict in the story, it felt like a first chapter in a bigger novel. The biggest conflict was the MC's own hang-ups with getting involved with each other. If your looking for major plot this isn't the story for you but a quick read with likable characters this hits the mark. I would pick up the others in the series just to see where life takes the side characters but nothing about it makes you race to the next book to see what happens.

I love Shaw's books and I love BDSM so this one was very much a hit for me...Garrett the Dom and Wyatt the Sub were just perfect together..The way Garrett calmed Wyatt...The way he called him 'Sweet' was beautiful...I love pet names and this one is a newer one.....Only complaint is that I really would have loved for it to be longer but damn for a short book it's hot x

Boy, oh boy, am I jealous of Wyatt! He is such a sweet, tender soul and I immediately fell in love with his little squirmy self. It is effortless to identify with him, his fears and emotions just leap off the page. I found myself really rooting for him and Garrett. Garrett is such a powerful, sexy dom I just can’t stand it. The way he cares for Wyatt really made my heart swell. He is so gentle and caring, but absolutely in charge. He instinctively knows precisely what Wyatt needs, even when they are brand new to each other. The way he took things slow was 1) very intuitive and 2) hot as hell. I also really like the family dynamics in the book, which sets us up for the rest of the series. The whole family is in the lifestyle, and they have a loving, teasing relationship with each other.
Narration: I do believe this is the first time I have listened to Kenneth Obi. I listen to audiobooks daily, so I have my favorite voice actors. I do think that I will be adding Kenneth to that list. I love the deep timber of his voice when he performs Garrett’s part. He definitely brings the characters to life and did an exceptional job of immersing me into the story. A sticky point is when a male voice actor performs female characters, many times the falsetto just irritates me. Kenneth even did the females very well, which is very pleasing and did not bring me out of the narration at all.
