Smiling like a fool!!! Seriously, J. Kenner has me deliriously happy as I was reunited with one of my favorite book couples, Damien & Nikki Stark. There is just something so refreshing the way Kenner writes as she makes us revisit a couple and see where they are after the happily ever after.

photo 1179d8acaaa9e8bdd37139ee8783ad_zpspcimvnln.gif He’s strength and intelligence, commanding and tender. He’s honorable and strong, fierce and loyal. And he loves me. Loves me so much, in fact, that a tiny part of me wonders how there could be enough left in him to give to our kids. But there is. There’s more than enough, and I have no idea what I ever did to deserve him, but I wouldn’t change a thing. He’s a miracle. More than that, he’s mine. ”

Well if you have been following this couple then you are all aware that Damien and Nikki are more than each other's soul mates. Their love is so deep that they complete one another. And so in this novella, Hold Me, Kenner allowed readers to see what happens as Nikki tries to juggle motherhood, work, life, love, and marriage. Can she do it all?

photo 1179d8acaaa9e8bdd37139ee8783ad_zpspcimvnln.gif I may not know what he has in mind, but I trust Damien with my life, my body, my heart. ”

Hold Me was just an all around sweet and sexy novella that will leave a big fat smile on your face. So if you have been a fan of Damien and Nikki Stark, then I suggest you better one-click this book now.

Only six weeks have gone by since #AnchorMe and BAM!!!! Nikki and Damien Stark are back with another little Novella!

description

I hope this will keep on happening until the end of times! ☺

In HOLD ME, we start off right where we left our darlings in ANCHOR ME. Or rather, a few months later. Everything is a bit stressful and new and interesting. And Nikki is doubting herself a bit. She's not sure what to do with her company ... She wants to be at home, but she also wants to work.
Some decisions might need to be made! ☺
We spend some adorable reading-minutes (it's not even an hour, because the novella is so short :/) with Damien and Nikki! And also with Jackson and Sylvia and Jamie and Ryan!

description

This was the perfect little addition for all fans of Damien and Nikki!
I hope we'll get a new one every other month for ever and ever and ever!

This one was realllly short - it ends at 80% - but it was sweet and sexy and adorable and exciting!
I need to cut off a tiny little piece of my 5th star for the shortness and for the many repetitions! Julie repeats many things we already know. Facts about everyone's pasts, jobs, family, how they all met - it made the already short story even shorter - I think it's because this novella is part of the 1001 Dark Nights Novella series! They're hoping to attract new-to-the-Stark-series-readers. And that's totally ok with me. I still LOVED it. I will always love every little bit of Damien I can get my hands on! Or rather my eyes :(

I never ever want to say goodbye to this series!

HOLD ME was another adorable & sexy little #MustRead about Nikki & Damien and all the others!! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Damien - this one is MINE! ☺

“Sweetheart, haven’t you learned by now?” He turns in my arms so that his erection is pressing against my belly. “You’re part of me. How could I ever lose sight of you?”

I’ll admit that I went a little out of order here, I read the original trilogy and a handful of the novellas, but I’ve missed a few of the later novellas and haven’t read Anchor Me yet. This book gives you the gist of what happened in that book while not completely spoiling it so that you could go back and read it sometime. Fans of this series will no doubt love this new little glimpse into the life of Nikki and Damien Stark. If you’ve read Anchor Me then you are well aware of the new chapter of their lives that they’ve entered and as you can imagine, it presents a unique set of challenges for this power couple. It was nice seeing them deal with real life issues (I mean, aside from the fact that they are billionaires so you can’t totally relate to what they are going through, well I can’t, maybe you’re a billionaire too!) and for a change the conflict in this book was pretty tame compared to the things they’ve dealt with in the past. They’ve come so far since the beginning of this series and this book, short as it may be, did a nice job of reminding the reader of that. There were plenty of sweet and steamy moments that you’ve come to expect from these two. If you’ve followed the series up to now, you’ll want to add this one to your list, and if you’re new to the Stark world, I think you will still enjoy this story but you’ll probably want to go back to the start to see how Nikki and Damien began! Either way, if you’re looking for a quick, steamy, sweet read, check out this novella!

My Review:

Hold Me is a novella that takes place about 12 months after Achor Me ends. Damien and Nikki are settling into parenthood. They have a toddler and new infant and Nikki's prepping returning to work after maternity leave. She is facing some uncertainty and Nikki has to face some uncomfortable truths. I really appreciated this novella though, because we are seeing that she has lost interest in working long hours especially when she is starting to miss the moments with her daughter.

We do get some fun sexy scenes with Damien and Nikki but we also see so much heart in this book in seeing them adjusting to being a family and learning to adapt to children. Damien is so patient with the kiddos and I loved seeing them as parents, they are such GOOD parents. Patient, understanding and so playful. We also see how Nikki is having to make a determination of what her career is costing her and making adjustments and I really appreciated this outlook as we just don't see it too often. There was so much genuine emotion that broke my heart. I wonder how many women suffer through this type of pain and really gave me a unique perspective of what working mothers have to face.

Overall I had a blast with Hold Me and was a true delight from beginning to end.

Always a hit! Damien and Nikki are navigating her way back to work in this novella and like most mothers she is feeling the pressure. Damien does what he always does and helps her to do what she wants to do, which is why she loves him so much. But this journey is one only she can decide what direction to take and there are some speed bumps she doesn't see coming. The destination, though, is worth the travel.

Love Damien and Nikki and those babies!

Yet other installment of the Stark International Trilogy.I have to say that Nikki and Damien are one of my favorite power couple.

I have loved each and everyone of The Stark Book Trilogy with Damien and Nikki.I loved how the author decided to do a novella on how Damien and Nikki are coping with being new parents.

In this story we see just how Nikki's character
had evolved and grown throughout these stories and certainly this one.I love the chemistry this couple have not only that but they truly and deeply love one another.I just love these two as they are so cute together as a couple and with their family. For me Nikki balances Damien's life. She keeps him grounded has softened him a bit but not only that he has put his priorities first family and children then his business.

Nikki was probably the most emotional as she has ever been in this story.Learning to balance life and work Nikki's emotional state is always top priority especially on how she dealt with her pain in her past.Nikki used to be a cutter and this is how she dealt with her pain in the past and she fights the temptation all the time.At this point we see the new an improved Nikki on how love, marriage children have made her the strongest she has ever been.I loved seeing these breakthroughs and that she finally found the happiness she so deserved.

I am glad to see that marriage and children hasn't tamed Damien to much.He is still sexy as hell and is still into heating up things between himself and Nikki.Let the sexual games begin.

A enjoyable tale of love, romance ,change and children. We loved another tale staring Nikki and Damien a couple you never get tired reading about.

A recommended read to all for those who read the Stark International Trilogy.

Title: Hold Me
Author: J Kenner

4 unexpected stars

Anyone who has followed Damien and Nikki's story loves them - they love the obstacles they've gone through, the many unwanted surprises they've faced together, but most of all, they've fallen in love with their love story. I for one, have been a Stark and Stark International fan ever since the first book and could never get my hands on the books fast enough. Each new books brought me back into their lives and reminded me why they are perfect for one another.

4 breath taking dreams

Compared to all the previous books, Hold Me felt like a bridge - the in-between two novels or maybe the conclusion of a long standing journey as we finally get to meet the full family, reuniting both the Stark and Stark International series. It still held all the elements that I love about this couple - the chemistry, the dominance and even the daily struggles they go through, only without the exterior obstacles of people trying to tear them apart. Will there be any other addition to this series? I'm not certain, but if it is, my curiosity about what happens to this couple and family had been at least satisfied.

J. Kenner can NEVER stop writing about Damien and Nikki Stark’s life because every glimpse, regardless of how big or small, into their lives exemplifies just how dynamic of a couple they are and how magnetic their connection is as well as how their passion for love and life drives their personal and professional lives.

In Hold Me, it’s all about balance...about finding what works best for Nikki and Damien’s life and following through with their own plan without feeling inferior or defeated simply because they veered from their path a bit to live life on their own terms...not anyone else’s.

Juggling being a business woman, a mother, and a wife is not an easy feat; in fact, many women feel incapable, which then makes her begin to doubt her abilities to keep all parts of her life afloat while giving equal parts of herself to those who depend on her. And, the fact that someone as driven and independent as Nikki Stark finds herself exhausted and overwhelmed with the prospect of returning to work full-time and missing any of her sweet baby girls’ “firsts” drives home the fact that it’s okay to take a step back, determine what’s most important for her and her family, and become who she needs to be for her family but also for herself.

Damien and Nikki Stark are incredibly lucky, and they don’t take any part of their lives for granted because they’ve been through too much already to feel any less than humbled by what they get to experience every day.

In Hold Me, Damien continues to be Nikki’s rock, comforting her and giving her everything she needs with both his kindness and his filthiness; she’s stronger because he’s by her side, refusing to let her down, protecting their future the best they can. They are partners in every sense of the word, and I can’t wait to see where J. Kenner takes this power couple next!

Hold Me was like a little treat, delightful, emotional and sweet! I savored every word of this novella! It can be seen as an extended epilogue of Anchor Me, the fourth full-length installment in the Stark series. So, obviously, it is best to read Anchor Me before starting this book.

We get a few glimpses into Nikki and Damien Stark family life and I loved the cute moments with their daughters! We see Nikki trying to juggle the demands of a career and motherhood. Despite her feelings of guilt, she is passionate about her business. She has worked hard to build it on her own, with the help of Damien’s business expertise. She needs time to make some choices and find the right balance between her professional aspirations and her family.

Damien’s tenderness and perceptiveness tugged at my heartstrings. He is supportive, intuitive and empathic. He takes care of his family. Nikki and Damien’s chemistry is as intense as ever, their soulmate connection is truly emotional. I love these characters, and I hope that Julie Kenner will revisit them again and again! This novella is a great addition to their story, with a perfect combination of sexiness and sweetness!

if you are a fan of Damien and Nikki Stark you will love this Novella, it gives us an in depth look at where the Starks are in their life. Nikki and Damien have a family now and in Hold Me we get to see how Nikki is combining motherhood and a career, Nikki doesn't need to work but she worked so hard to make her business a success so now she needs to work out how to manage a juggling act of looking after two beautiful little girls and running her business. Damien as always is right by her side helping her in anyway he can. As a Stark fan this was the book I've been waiting for and I'm so glad JKenner has given us what every fan of The Starks wanted, How life is treating them now they have a family.
This is a short read but it's long enough to give you a Damien and Nikki fix, I loved it.

I've never read the series but by reading this novella I get an idea of what the series was about. This novella was sweet and emotional so I can only imagine the series.

Damien and Nikki have a very beautiful marriage with two beautiful girls that are their world. Nikki battles with her inner demons and Damien is her rock. Damien pulls out all the stops when it comes to the well being and happiness of his wife and kids. Nikki with all her issues is such a beautiful soul and her husband and daughters are her number one priority.

Hold Me is another instalment into the life of Damien and Nikki Stark. It follows the ups and downs of juggling everyday life while running very successive businesses and keeping the 'Sexy Times' in their marriage.

I really enjoyed More Damien and Nikki, They are one of my favourite couples but as I started reading this I realised I must have missed another book before this and there was a big change to Damien and Nikki's life, so this did spoil it a bit for me.

However this was a good read full of passion, love, not over dramatic and easy to read, I read this in one sitting. The only disappointment was having missed out on reading the last book before reading this.

When I open up a Stark series book, I can't help but breathe out a SWEET SIGH, a SMILE embedded on my face as I SWOON to the sky. The Stark series is one I will gladly devour FOREVER! This is the eighth novella in the Stark series featuring Damien and Nikki Stark and it takes place after the full length novel, Anchor Me. You definitely need to read Anchor Me first but if not be prepared for spoilers. It's been eight months since Damien and Nikki adopted 20 month old Lara Ashley from China. They also now have an infant baby girl of their own named Anne. Nikki is nearing the end of her maternity leave and she's anxious to get back to the business she started all on her own. Once she's back to work full time she soon realizes that she's missing out on so much with the girls. Just like in the last one Nikki came off weak and needy in this and it was super annoying.

Power and wealth are two things that come to mind when the world thinks of Damien Stark. To his wife Nikki, he is her anchor and her protector, and together they have weathered many a storm. A new chapter in their story brings a new dawn, but with it too, clouds of uncertainty.

As a long-time fan of the series, it’s fair to say I’ll take any and every opportunity to delve into the world of the Starks. Damien never fails to disappoint, and although Nikki has had her moments, she appears to be realising her own strengths.

Fans of the series can expect the sensuality and intimacy we’ve come to synonymise with the name Stark.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date May 23, 2017

My life with Damien has never been fuller. Every day is a miracle, and every night I lose myself in the oasis of his arms.

But there are new challenges, too. Our families. Our careers. And new responsibilities that test us with unrelenting, unexpected trials.

I know we will survive—we have to. Because I cannot live without Damien by my side. But sometimes the darkness seems overwhelming, and I am terrified that the day will come when Damien cannot bring the light. And I will have to find the strength inside myself to find my way back into his arms.

••••••••••

REVIEW: 4.5 stars--HOLD ME (Stark Ever After novella) by J .Kenner is book 4.1 in the author’s adult, contemporary, STARK TRILOGY erotic, romance series , and the latest installment in the multi-authored 1001 Dark Nights series of novellas. HOLD ME is the continuing story about Damien and Nikki Fairchild-Stark, and picks up approximately ten months following the events of ANCHOR ME (Stark Trilogy #4).

NOTE: If you have not read ANCHOR ME there may be some spoilers in my review.

Told from first person point of view (Nikki) HOLD ME focuses on Nikki’s foray back to work; her struggles as a new mom to give up control of her children; and the expectations from employees and clients of running a multi-million dollar technology business, Nikki and Damien are now the parents of two daughters-one biological, and one adopted, and with it comes the responsibilities and trepidations every new parent must face. With Nikki’s return to work, our heroine discovers that life has a way of changing directions throwing Nikki into a tailspin at home and away. Nikki and Damien struggle to find some balance in their life; making time for themselves doesn’t come easy.

HOLD ME is a passionate, delightful and realistic story line focusing on two people whose lives have changed in more ways than one. The premise is touching, poignant, and warm ; the characters are tender, sensitive and devoted; the romance is sensual and loving. HOLD ME is a delightful and inspiring read about family, friendship and love.

Thoughts: Still LOVE Damien and Nikki!! These little nuggets of their lives remind me why I adored their story so much. Hold Me a Stark Ever After Novella, was the perfect companion to Anchor Me the last full length in the Stark Series. It was the proverbial icing on the delectable cupcake. A sweet insight to the Stark Family, and just how life changes with new additions. A super quick, easy read with zero angst, but plenty of steamy interludes. In true Nikki and Damien fashion, there are struggles and working together the family comes out ever changed, and so much stronger than before. This is absolutely not a stand alone, you need to read the series, although Julie does set it up so that you are aware of all key components and players (which was a bit redundant for this fan of the series). As always Ms. Kenner has a way with words and leaves us turning to the last page with a smile on your face and warmth in your heart. If your a fan of the Stark Saga, this is a must read. It’s cuteness overload.

This was an absolutely perfectly satisfyingly yummy tidbit that gives us a peek into the lives of Nikki and Damien. Nikki is going back to work after the birth of her daughter Anne and being away from her babies is not sunshine and roses and Damien so gets her. It is always fun to drop in on these two!

I swear as I sit here writing this that I know without a doubt I will read any and everything that J Kenner writes on Damien Stark and his wife Nikki. I've yet to pick up a book that's written about the Stark's that I don't devour in one setting and Hold Me was no exception. J. Kenner you did it again a story full of love, devotion and let's just say lots of hot sexiness!!!!

ARC received for an honest review

Yes! More Nikki and Damien!

I am not going to lie, I have been a Starkie since I first started reading this series, and each and every story makes me fall for him even more.

I quickly read Entice Me before I dived into Anchor Me, and I am glad that I did, because Anchor Me continues on right from the end.

It hasn't been that long since we last had our Damien fix - but for me it is always too long!

Hold Me carries on from where Anchor Me finishes, so if you are not up to date with the series, you will need to read that one first or there will be spoilers.

Damien and Nikki are just - I don't know, there aren't enough words for how much I adore them.

I love the softer side of Damien, and it really shines through in this novella, and Ms Kenner gives us a lovely insight into our lovelies lives.

I loved it. I need more.

Fight you for Damien - I win! He's mine!

It’s nice to know that no matter how much money you have life is never easy.

Damien and Nikki are back again but this time is much different than the rest. Their last book left us with a tidbit about Nikki being pregnant but with her high chance of miscarriage rate due to medical complication we never really knew if she would actually have a child of her own. It really didn’t matter to both Damien and Nikki as they were finally able to bring their adopted daughter Lara home.

The good news is that Nikki gave Damien another daughter to spoil. As Nikki learns the joys of motherhood she also learns what it’s like to go back to work and leave your child. We all want to be there for our kids first and while Nikki has advantages that most of us don’t she still has the drive to work which put her in the same hard spot that all working mother face.

I love how Damien dealt with the roller coaster ride of emotions that Nikki was throwing at him and how well he handled it. This is the time where most men have no clue what to do and I truly don’t blame them. Damien came through it and gave his wife everything she needed, and everything that they had being working towards

We got to see Nikki finally able to deal with moving past the need to cut when she felt like everything was spiraling out of control. I believe it has to do with being a mother and how that has made her take the final steps out from under her mother’s shadow. Damien has always said that Nikki was strong but this part of their story showed just how strong she truly is.

I fell in love with Damien and Nikki when their story first started and I don’t know all ever get enough. Julie has brought her readers characters that will stand the test of time and characters that you can’t help but fall in love with or get enough of!!!

If you had the chance to read even one of my reviews for the books that were published after in the Stark universe you will see that I was always wishing for one thing. To see Nikki and Damien becoming parents. My wish was granted in the only book in the Stark universe I wasn't able to get my hands on, Anchor me. -_- -_- The one book I missed was the only book I should have made sure to read before beginning this one. I would say that Hold me is better to read after Anchor me because I think that I would have enjoyed the book more instead of feeling sorry for not reading it.

There was one thing I didn't like in this book. Once again we see how Nikki is struggling with everything that s happening in her life. So many books into the series and I still feel like she is in square one. I am hoping that whatever development she had in this book will stay and in the future books, she will be able to focus on whatever obstacle she faces on without thinking about cutting herself or any other insecurities.

What I liked about Hold me is that for once it doesn't show how everything magically falls into place. It shows how hard is to balance work and family and how the mother misses the first times of her children. I got to see how a mother tries to balance her life at work, with her kids and her husband and not miss anything. That's impossible of course, but at least in this novel Nikki tries. I wish we had the chance to see how Damien feels about all that with a novella or even a chapter from this point of view.

Hold me gave me mixed feelings, but the positive kind of overcome the bad one. I am always in game to read another chapter of Nikki and Damien's lives and I will be looking forward to reading the next book. I wouldn't mind if the next novella was more focused on Jamie and Ryan though. I kinda miss these two.

Heartwarming and a delight to read

I haven’t visited with Damien and Nikki since the trilogy, and I know I’ve missed much that has happened in the years following the Stark’s wedding, but Ms. Jenner uses her skill to include brief details to catch up the reader. This story flowed seamlessly, I felt like I was right in the middle of their lives without missing a beat.

Now that Damien and Nikki have their family and a routine has been set, Nikki decides to go back to work and take her business to the next level. She quickly discovers the struggle of trying to balance family time, the long commute to work, and the pressure of a budding business stressful and pulling her focus in so many directions. I love that Damien is a wonderful support for Nikki in helping her recognize what’s most important to her. Letting Nikki know he supports, whatever decision is made in helping her find a happy medium between being a wife, mom, and a business owner. There is a point when Nikki feels overwhelmed and she breaks down. Damien is startled into panic mode when he thinks she’s cutting again. But Nikki handles the strain like a trooper and works through it.

Damien persuades Nikki into playing a game. A bit of sexual teasing and healing to help her relax. And oh, the sexy times keep on rolling. They are one of the hottest book couples, and so much in love. Damien is still the sexy, inventive lover. Sexy man!

Hold Me is part of the Stark Ever After Novella series and a wonderful addition to Damien and Nikki’s story. The resolution to Nikki’s dilemma is perfect and I just loved the sweet, sexy ending to the close of this novella.

I received and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
