Unexpected Changes #3

The Perfect Fix

Rate this book
Ed likes to keep his nose out of other people’s business. He works hard to be a good friend, son, brother, and employee. When he served in the military, he was the best soldier he could be. So when his former commanding officer asked for a favor, giving his recently released niece some guidance, Ed vows to help. But there’s a problem. She’s feisty, impulsive, and stubborn. And Ed can’t stop fantasizing about her.

Emma resents her uncle pushing his way into her life. She knows she’s capable of fixing her own problems and is sick to death of hearing about Uncle Cain’s star soldier. He refuses to shut up about how perfect Ed is. He has a good job, is a dependable man, and he did what Emma can’t seem to adjust flawlessly to civilian life. When she meets him, she’s frustrated to find out that he’s perfect on the outside, too. His hard body, smooth dark skin, and calm attitude draw her in. Anxious to find a flaw, she’s willing to look everywhere for one.

The longer Emma stays in his life, the closer she gets to unraveling his secrets. Can Ed continue to hide the truth about the darkness that consumes him? Or will he be forced to part with the sexy little spitfire that’s brought joy and happiness to his life?

Romance author Cameron Allie grew up in a small town north of Toronto. As a child she loved stories, and after reading her first romance novel at age fifteen her dreams of writing became singularly focused on the love story. She is currently living in Ontario with her husband, and with her cat, who is constantly trying to interrupt the writing process.

Any book that deals REALISTICALLY with the issues that the men and women of our military deal with after returning home will ALWAYS get 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾from me. With that aside this was also an enjoyable read.

I really enjoyed this story. Ed and Emma are super cute together. They both have such a huge impact on each other's healing. Some streamy scenes and some scenes were harder to read, with them both being from the military, but they were necessary. And Jenny is a B***h. I love meeting Ed's siblings, and hope they get their own story some time.

I really enjoyed this book. Emma and Ed can't stand each other when they first meet. Ed is sent by Emma's uncle to try to help her through some hard times after returning to civilian life. Ed may not be as well adjusted as her uncle thinks.

In the end, the fiesty Emma and no nonsense Ed find a wonderful connection, with some fun spicy scenes for a great book.

Emma blew in like a hurricane and turned Eds world upside down. Cain Emma's uncle asked Ed to check in on her, as she was having a hard time adjusting after returning to civilian life. The dynamics and banter between these two were off the charts. A great mix of steam and plot line. Such a fun quick read to get lost in.

This one can really stand on it's own. Ed and Emma are so complex characters with pasts that they need to overcome. It's a beautifully written story with extra juicy love scenes but even better character development. The ending was so sweet I can't wait to hear more about them in book 4.
