I really liked the Buffy story! It was really beautifully drawn, and I enjoyed seeing Buffy care about a little girl. I liked the comic book store setting, too. (I do wonder about the "high school years" concept - wasn't a good half of the show based in high school? Is it supposed to be set pre-Sunnydale?) It made me want to check out the rest of the comic!
The Plants Vs Zombies story was okay, though I'm not sure why they thought it'd be a good fit with Buffy. There were some funny bits, but I probably would have enjoyed it much more had I known anything at all about the game.
This is a quick mini issue that was part of the free comic book for a day 2017. Buffy battles a couple of vampires.
As for the story there is nothing earth shattering. Why the high rating? It has some nice meta references that fans of Joss Whedon will really appreciate. I also liked how the action takes place in a comic book store which directly relates to the promotion event that this was associated with.
It was a quick enjoyable read and for the price it cannot be beat. It made me smile so it was definitely worth it.
This was very sweet, and the outright mention of Sailor Moon made me excited! I always thought 1st season Buffy had a lot of parallels to 1st season Sailor Moon...
Having the girl who idolized Buffy being named Rini was a nice touch (this was Chibi Usa's name in the English dub!).

The buffy comic was cool. Nicely drawn though in an art style I haven't encountered in Buffy yet. For how short it was, there were a pun or two. It was also cute seeing Buffy be a role model and going into a comic store! Both Buffy and Xander are sarcastic. Love them.
It was my first Plants vs. Zombies. It was strange but cute.
This was a cute, really short comic given out for Free Comic Book Day a few years back. I adored Buffy's interactions with the young girl, and appreciated that it was set in a comic book store. If you can find this online, it's worth spending a few minutes to read!
Buffy and Xander visit a comic book store where Buffy meets a little girl. Buffy slays a vampire and the little girl is inspired to discover that there really are superheroes. It's cute and fun. I didn't read the plants vs zombies comic and can't comment on that.
I only got this one for Buffy. I loved the ending "Mom why didn't you tell me superheroes are real?". Hopefully my Comic book store will get in the series. I'd really like to read it.
I mean, the buffy part was cool, but I didn't much want the plants vs. zombies bit, so I skipped that part. Not really sure why they are put together but ok. comic shop vamp though, pretty funny.
I am reviewing the Buffy story. Did not have any interest in the plants vs zombies one. I thought the comic was short but a fun read. I really enjoyed all the Easter eggs like in the comic book store you can see one of the comics is actually a Buffy dark horse comic and the mention of shadowcat which I believe was the inspiration for Buffy by Joss. Loved it. Was very cute and I enjoyed it a lot.
