There is so much to explore in David’s book! Although he writes it from his perspective as an inter-faith hospital chaplain, as a four time cancer survivor himself, he really understands the struggles that people deal with, and has explored many avenues of healing - physical, mental, and spiritual.
There are so many stories and avenues that he explores, that anyone who has a diagnosis of cancer (or is helping someone with cancer) should be able to pull something inspiring or thought provoking from it. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for something beyond your standard ‘how to deal with cancer’ book.

A must read book, even if you don't have cancer or have never met anybody who has the disease. This is about being REAL and living a fully and courageous life.

An amazing book about living with grief and the process of a spiritual journey. Maginley incorporates his health experiences, talks about what it means to be finally at peace and calm in the middle of chaos.

I cried multiple times and left fearing death slightly less.

Main takeaway: We are truly just love here to express love and life is beautiful
