M. Mabie lives in Illinois with her husband. She writes unconventional love stories and tries to embody "real-life romance."
She cares about politics, but will not discuss them in public. She uses the same fork at every meal, watches Wayne's World while cleaning, and lets her dog sleep on her head. She has always been a writer. In fact, she was born with a pen in her hand, which almost never happens. Almost.
M. Mabie usually doesn't speak in third-person. She promises.
I’ll apologise straight up…I’ve got a cold. Making my brain work in-sync with my hands is not working that well for me at the moment. Please bear with me while I attempt to somehow get my feelings and thoughts about this book, down in a review. It’s taken me a lot longer than normal to read and it's frustrating when you're desperate to read and your body isn't cooperating. I really enjoyed All the Way and I hated having to stop to blow my nose, take medicine and lay my head down to stop the world spinning.
I started All the Way very excited. I’d heard good things about M Mabie but the stars hadn’t aligned and it was another book author that I was going to get to soon...ish. Now, I know, that Ms Mabie has a knack for writing characters that seem real. They’re a wee bit goofy, have jobs, struggles and stresses like normal people. They also have insecurities, doubts and frustrations that were definitely something I recognised.
The things going through the minds of the characters, while not exactly the same as mine, felt somewhat familiar. I remember the days (a long, long time ago) when I could be feeling good about myself, have a good looking guy show interest in me, and then BAM my insecurities would show up. Why is he interested? Is he just looking for a hook-up? Maybe it’s a prank? Like the main character in this story, I had no reason for these doubts but it’s amazing what you talk yourself into thinking.
Dana is a sweet and sassy redhead who has met and dated some real jerks. But, they’ve been jerks with pretty faces. Unfortunately, she sees a hot guy and she wants him. This makes Dana seem shallow and she knows it. After one too many HJ’s (Hot Jerk’s…get your mind out of the gutter), she decides it’s time to find a nice guy. Looks will have to take a backseat if she wants to find a man to make her happy. Good looks and a decent personality just don’t seem to be possible together. Before she goes nice completely, she decides one more HJ is needed to get them out of her system. One more ends up being her last HJ forever...he's nice too.
Cord is looking for his ONE. He has been looking for a while now and has taste-tested quite a few. Cord is convinced he’ll know her when he sees her and it will just be a matter of time before he has her. Well, imagine his surprise when he finds HER and there are roadblocks in the way. His best friend (turns out to be mutual) tells him to keep his hands to himself, and she’s not jumping for joy either. Doesn’t she know? How could she not? If HE feels this much, why the hell doesn’t she?
I loved the journey for Cord and Dana. It was smoking hot, funny and sweet. Both Cord and Dana made things harder than they needed to be. While Dana was protecting her heart from the possible damage Cord might inflict, Cord was just trying to keep the peace. They let others guide their decisions and it could have ended up with both of them broken-hearted. It cracked me up that the youngest character in the group (a very wise 18-year-old) was the one who gave the best advice.
All the Way was my first story by M Mabie and will definitely not be my last. I loved the characters she created, their relationships with both friends and family, and the connections that formed between them all. All the Way was sexy, funny and extremely entertaining. I just kind of wished I’d read it when my head didn’t feel like it was ready to roll off. Again, I apologise if this review was a little…messy.

Can I just begin by saying, I LOVE FINDING NEW-TO-ME AUTHORS!!! It's such a rush, and to have that first read be one of my absolute FAVORITES of the year?! Crazy, right?! Well, it was an EASY decision once I finished up M. Mabie's ALL THE WAY, a standalone romance that will leave you in a state of ultimate bliss! Her vibrant and unforgettable characters stole my heart from the very beginning leaving me feeling so full of joy and contentment. In just reading the blurb I was hooked, and that HOT cover doesn't hurt it either. I immersed myself into this book thinking I was going along Cord's journey to find the one. But I found ALL THE WAY to be so much more than that. I don't want to get too sappy while writing this review, but Cord and Dana were EVERYTHING in this book. I fell HARD for both of them. I wanted to reach out and embrace them both and reassure them that everything will work out in the end. I felt their emotions with every turn of the page, and I was with them every step of the way. To me, this steamy, sexy romance had ALL THE FEELS and I just never wanted to let go of these characters.
"Her lips - son of a bitch, those lips. The things I'd like to do to them. The things I'd like them to do to me. Mercy."
She was so tired of "the game." He thrived off "the game." These two were so set in their ways and so determined, until they set eyes on each other. With Dana trying to become 'new Dana' she is thrown off by the gorgeousness that is Cord Taylor. Now she's even more determined to have one last hoorah in the sack and Cord is going to be that one last hoorah, if she has anything to say about it. Cord has been playing the field, learning what makes a woman tick so that when he finds the woman of his dreams, there will be no question. And he believes he just found that woman stepping into one of his businesses. Dana wants nothing more than a hook-up and Cord wants everything and more. They have their work cut out for them, but in the end, it will be well worth it.
"I want to do some pretty fucked up, dirty things to you."
"Then what are you waiting for?"
OMG! It's so hard to put into words my feeling for this book! I want to tell you ALL THE THINGS, but I can't because I NEED you to experience this greatness first hand. ALL THE WAY is EVERYTHING I love in a romance. But it has MORE! This new-to-me author just became an author I will have to keep a close eye on, because if this is how she delivers...well, call me a SUPER FAN, because I'm officially ADDICTED! ALL THE WAY is easily a favorite of the year for me, and that is all due to impeccable writing, incredible characters, and storyline that had me instantly HOOKED! I can't wait to see what M. Mabie brings to the table, because she is NEVER getting rid of me now!
That's just too stupid... And for the love of God, I have no idea why I started to read it. DNF at %30
- There is not much of a plot, really. Dana, the heroine, wants to say goodbye to dating hot guys as they all turned out to be as*holes but she wants to f*ck one last guy who is very hot - "one for the road" (her words, not mine)
***********************************************
- She is so very infuriating and annoying with her silly inner monologues. She repeatedly calls herself a "ho" as she can't help herself have sex with any hot guy and then, she goes and classifies other people with her assumptions. "If he is hot, he is an as*hole so he is good only for one-night sex" kind of assumptions...
***********************************************
- The hero is of course hot and he has been f*cking around until he meets "the one" because he believes there is a soulmate for him somewhere but again when you read his reasoning, you see how shallow he is, as well. He is dating so many women so that he gains knowledge!!! Knowledge my as* (Excuse my French). And in addition to that, he is falling for the annoying heroine, so he can't be that smart, really.
***********************************************
I feel this book will bore and annoy the hell out of me with its "I should/I shouldn't" and "He must be/he can't be" dilemma... Thus, an early DNF is best at this point.
And it gets 1 star from me no matter how little I have read because it is clear where it goes and how it goes there...
***********************************************
Here are a few QUOTES that show the tone of the book and how the MCs sound...
Am I a saint? Far from it. Do I date a lot of women, who I’ll never have a lasting relationship with? You’re damn right. I date them all. Shy. Loud. Too busy. Lonely. High maintenance. No confidence. No filter. Bad habits. Naive. Beautiful ones. Pretty ones... Point is, I don’t discriminate. I see a woman who looks like she needs a nice date, a good time, and I provide her with it. What do I get out of it? Knowledge. So far, at thirty-two years old, I’d like to say I’ve learned a lot. When I meet the perfect woman for me, I want to be prepared, adept, and ready. ... I enjoy making women feel beautiful and special. Not for sex or to gain some reputation, but because—when it all boils down—I don’t ever want to miss out on her. The one. ... I’m Cord Taylor, and, lady of my dreams, I’m coming for you.

“I could do better than some guy who looked good but fooled around on me. For that reason, and many others, I’d decided no more too -hot guys. Only average guys, maybe above average. No. Just plain average. Which meant, I couldn’t be around Cord Taylor. … He’s hot, but I’m not interested in hot anymore. In fact, the plainer the better.”
***
“I have self-control,” I defended, weakly. “No, you don’t… Who are you kidding? You won’t be able to stay away.” … “What about a compromise?” I suggested. “Dana, you don’t have to negotiate your love life with me.” “No, I do. You’re pretty much right anyway. What about if I have one last hoorah. You know? Like good bye Norma Jean, except with my disastrous sex life.”
***
I was going to have the hottest sex with the even hotter Cord Taylor. Then I was going to grow up, lower my standards, and find someone who I was compatible with on more than just one level.

All The Way or should I say all the feels since M. Mabie’s newest release can only be described as a swoonworthy love connection that is a sexy blend of romance, steam, and passion. Let’s not forget that M.Mabie has a knack for writing characters that will make you instantly fall in love with them as she did with Cord and Dana.
My review will be very simple and straight to the point since right off the opening pages, I instantly fell in love with this book and the characters. This book is a love story that goes in depth of the journey of finding that someone. Cord has been with his share of women, and in such it allowed him to discover what he wants in the one. And the one happens to be Dana. Dana is a little reluctant when it comes to Cord and so begins the story of Cord trying to show Dana that he is the right and only person for her.
All The Way is a sexy romance that incorporates steam and a little angst. Trust me, it ain’t no M. Mabie book without a little angst thrown into the mix. So if you are looking for a story that was a riot of entertainment and passion, then I suggest you to read this book and get lost in all the feels.
Trevor’s bright orange car looked like it had been parked by a blind armless person.
Inside my head looked like a video game right before you’re about to die and the screen flashes red as a warning.
My mind wandered evilly, making up an image of him out on a date with someone else. Some combination of a dirty slut and filthy whore. A slore.
You’ve always been stubborn. You know you kept your training wheels on until you were like thirteen.
My Review:
The Knot Duet was a cunningly plotted, cleverly humorous, and exceptionally well-crafted book. The title was lifted from a specialty Waffle House order and not from a sexual encounter, as most would expect. Don’t get me wrong - there were plenty of sizzling sensual scenes in this book, just not in the title. M. Mabie is a gifted wordsmith with a wicked sense of humor. I adored her endearingly flawed yet witty characters as much as I did her skillfully amusing, keenly detailed, and salaciously comical writing style. She deftly embellishes her storyline with crafty little touches that summon sharp and highly entertaining and lively visuals. I smirked, giggle-snorted, and gasped my way through this witty, engaging, and delightfully naughty tale. I enjoyed spending time with these quick-witted and quirky people, but honestly, who couldn’t love a generous “too-hot” man who cooks, cleans, and makes cinnamon rolls from scratch?
A nice should-i/shouldn't-i romance. But forgettable. I think the author should've gone all the way with the wit and made it a rom-com; the humour that was there, was really good and probably my favourite thing about the book.
I really enjoyed this book it's cheesy but it's a lot of fun. Cord Taylor is known as a ladies man, he'll admit himself that he likes woman intact he's dated just about every type but what his friends don't realise is that he's looking for his one. Admittedly he's cast a wide net but he's this as gathering information so he knows exactly how to treat the woman he will spend his life with. Dana has had enough of the dating scene, she has a type and she can spot one a mile off. They are always good looking confident bad boys but she wants more than a short loved fling she's looking long term. She decides to have one last fling before settling down although her friends are sceptical she'll actually do it This book made me laugh out loud, when Cord first spots Dana the fun begins, he becomes slightly obsessed with her much to his friends dismay, the first meeting had me giggling so much. While Dana just thinks he's slightly weird good looking but weird. What follows is a funny story of a budding relationship that hopefully can grow into more.
It takes a lot for me to laugh out loud while reading and this book made me do it more than once.
Dana is tired of dating, she's ready to find someone, settle down, not be lonely. Having dated too many "hot guys" in the past (the ones who lure you in and then dump you just as things are about to get serious) she's looking for an average Joe. Cord is far from average. Cord is hot, he's successful, and he zeros in on Dana the minute he sees her. Dana decides Cord can be her last hot guy fling before she gets serious about finding the one. Cord is different from the guys in the past but Dana can't seem to believe that what they have could be serious, could be more.
It's funny, there's definite heat, romance and of course there is angst (just on a smaller scale than the angst-fest that is the Wake series.) Dana is a hot mess, but she's lovable. Cord is dreamy, like seriously, I LOVED him. It's a good read, check it out!
I adored this book! If I didn't have to do actual life things, I would have read it in one sitting. M. Mabie is an instant one click for me. I also might have a hard time waiting for releases and wish I could bug her to release quicker! Lol.
This story is classic M. Mabie, let me explain what I mean. It gives you all the feels... love, anger, annoyance, joy, and angst. The angst is minimal in this one for all those still hurting from Bait... but it was there for me. Then there is the characters all beautifully flawed with strong personalities that makes you feel like they are real people. And my most favorite part of classic M. is the humor! You know how after you watch a great funny movie, you walk away laughing and quoting that shit for days? Some of her best one liners are in this one! I laughed so much!
Everyone read this book! And then join me in begging her for more!!! 💜💛💜💛
M. Mabie writes some of the bestest books out there- Her stories are humorous , witty and oh so passionate. I love her characters, they have a real feel to them and I always get lost in her books and never want to leave her world, or her characters’ worlds. Dana is tired of dating and she is ready to settle down with Mister Right. In the past she dated the sexy hot guys who had nothing in common with her, and that they used her and she wants nothing to do with that now. She has been burned before and now she wants a guy who will treat her right and isn’t all hot and immature. She will take an average joe this time thinking she will get lucky. Instead she meets Cord and he is definitely not average. He is very successful, handsome and as soon as he meets Dana, he is focused on Dana. Dana thinks she will have one last fling before she settles down with a ho hum looking guy. She thinks Cord can be her friend with benefits guy because their chemistry is thru the roof. Cord on the other hand is determined to prove to Dana that he is there for the long haul and the angst, passion, determination that is between them is awesome. Cord is such a hottie and boy is he willing to go the extra mile for Dana really won me over. He is a caring man, a strong man and one man who doesn’t let his woman’s fears scare him off and he is determined to make Dana his. Dana is a woman who has been burned before. She is closed off to letting Cord in her life but she can’t ignore the attraction between them. Dana is complicated and complex yet once you get to know her, she will grow on you. This is a unique and complex romance read with some sexy and erotic romance scenes that will blow your socks off. I highly recommend this story for this is one you do not want to miss by M.Mabie.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ***** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
Every time M. Mabie releases a new book I remember the reasons why I love her and her stories. They're easy for me. They're so fun to sit down and just...read. I feel like when I read a M. Mabie book I am actually experiencing it all right there with all of the characters. I'm lost in another place and I am never in any rush to leave said place.
The character dynamic between Dana and Cord was incredible. They just...mesh. And when two characters mesh, you fall in love with said characters and book that much more. It makes the struggle and developing relationship that much more real.
Cord was a very attractive heroine to me. He was vulnerable and real and raw and he was persistent but not like, annoying persistent. I can also say the same about Dana. Another cool thing with All the Way was the fact that M. Mabie constructed secondary characters that can easily spin off into their own stories. Their own cool and interesting stories. In fact, I am requesting that right now Mo. Don't forget it either.
"She was talking to me but all I could hear were the motherfucking fireworks."
All the Way is a great book to pick up if you're looking for something that packs just enough sexy and just enough love and witty characters. With Mo's crafty and effortless humor and writing, I am consistently blown away, one book after another.
3.75-4 stars. This was a pretty good book! This is Cord and Dana's story. Dana has recently realized that she is lonely and she is ready to find a life partner . She is done with dating hot players and wants to find an average looking, normal guy to settle down with. She meets Cord at the coffee shop he owns. He is not average. He is super hot, but also a nice guy. Dana thinks he must be a player though, since he is so attractive. But she likes him so she tells herself she will have one last fling with him before settling down. There is a complication though. Dana's best friend, Becca, is marrying one of Cord's best friends, Reuben. Reuben asks Cord to not go out with Dana because he thinks they will break up and cause drama at the wedding. Cord agrees that he will not date Dana until after the wedding. But Dana and Cord are attracted to each other and can't stay away from each other. So they secretly see each other and fall in love. But Dana still thinks the relationship is a fling and that Cord must be playing her, not meaning the sweet things he says. Cord must convince her that his feelings are real. They both realize they have found their person in each other and must take the risk on love with each other.
i really liked Cord. He was awesome. He was not a man whore or a player but he dated a lot in hopes of finding "the one". He knew right away when he met Dana that she could be his "one". He was so sweet and patient with her. I liked Dana too. She was funny and realistic. She had a few annoying moments and was melodramatic at times. She let her past relationship history color how she saw Cord instead of trusting him. But overall, I definitely felt a strong connection and great chemistry between them. Some fun sexy times too. There were also some hilarious lines in this book. Some of the funniest I've read in awhile.
The big conflict at the end of the book was resolved really close to the end. I needed a bit more closure. The miscommunication seemed a bit silly and drawn out. But it didn't stop me from enjoying the book in general.
Overall, I definitely enjoyed Cord and Dana's relationship. This book was hilarious, sweet and sexy. This was my first read by M. Mabie and I will definitely read more from her in the future.
This book was an epically fun read from start to finish! Sexy with plenty of sassy, snarky humor, ALL THE WAY had me laughing all the way through it. See what I did there? Punny.
Cord Taylor is so dang sexy. Handsome and built, a successful business owner, and he prides himself on learning about women. Wait, what? He. Learns. About. Women. Why? Because he wants to be able to understand them to connect to them. *plop*
Dana Rogers has had enough of sexy men and their shallow attitudes. Burned one too many times by too good looking men, Dana is on a mission to find an average guy. One that is steady, safe, and will tell her if she's got black make-up goop in the corner of her eye. Is that too much to ask?
Cord and Dana meet by chance, but surprisingly, have a group of mutual, very close friends. And since Dana is off hot men, she isn't interested in Cord. He's far too hot to be what she's looking for. But...there's no harm in one last too hot for his own good fling, right? *cue the sexy music*
I absolutely loved Cord. He was funny, sexy, and came up with ridiculous nicknames for Dana, because she is anti-nickname. I didn't love Dana quite as much (the only reason it wasn't a full five star read for me). There were some parts where I really enjoyed her (when she let her guard down and just had fun, for example), but she frustrated me at times (particularly when it came time to face the truth regarding their relationship). But, I can overlook it for the most part, because Cord is sex-a-rific. He is grade A book boyfriend material. Go ALL THE WAY with Cord and Dana today!
This was definitely a rom com for me, I highly enjoyed this book, it was sexy, sassy and totally swoon worthy and HOT!
Cord and Dana sure were the perfect match for each other and I loved Dana's sassiness. Together they were definitely a couple that had you totally laughing your butt off.
Cord wasn't into serious dating and he just hadn't found the perfect woman for him to settle down with .... until Dana that is!
Dana was tired of hot men because they weren't the serious type and only were good for a quick romp. She was looking for a serious relationship and was willing to settle down for just the ordinary down to earth type of guy and forget the hot ones because those obviously weren't interested in settling down.
But when Dana and Cord meet and start to get to know each other, they both think they know what they want but they do nothing but confuse each other because they obviously are thinking the same but not speaking their minds. They're just assuming what they think is that the other wants.
Obviously tired of hiding from all their friends, they want to come out in the open but Dana thinks Cord is looking for a way out of their tryst, but Cord wants to get serious with Dana and she has it all wrong.
This book had me up all night laughing and swooning.
Trust me, you don't want to miss out on this fantastic read!

I’m Cord Taylor, and, lady of my dreams, I’m coming for you.
I’ve been looking forward to this book for months, ever since M. Mabie announced she was writing it and it did not disappoint! It had a touch of the angst that M. Mabie is so good at but the majority of it was silly, swoony, sexy and so much fun! I had such a great time reading this book, there was so much to love about it and even when I was frustrated with things the characters would do, I still loved them. Dana and Cord were such a fantastic pairing, everything about them just felt so real and relatable. Their quirks, insecurities, and personalities were so perfectly captured, they came alive and felt like people you might know in real life. I haven’t met an M. Mabie book that I didn’t love, and All the Way is no exception.
If I played my cards right, Cord Taylor would be the exclamation point at the end of a very long, very disappointing sentence that was my dating life as I’d known it.
Cord Taylor has been with his fair share of women and while he’s enjoyed his time with them all, he’s on a mission to find The One and he won’t stop until he finds her. Lucky for him, he doesn’t have to wait long when he runs into the sassy redhead one day at his coffee shop. Dana Rogers has always been drawn toward dating too-hot guys, mainly as a way to safeguard her heart because she knows that these guys won’t be giving her anything real. But she’s about to turn over a new leaf and is looking for an average, nice guy to settle down with (heavy emphasis on “settle”). When she lays eyes on Cord, she knows he’s the kind of guy that “Old Dana” would go for, which is why “New Dana” needs to keep her distance. But what’s the harm in one last hoorah before fully committing to her new lifestyle? Cord’s convinced she’s the one, but can’t tell her this because of a promise he made to his best friend. Dana thinks she’s on to Cord’s game and she’s got a plan to have her final fling and still get out before her heart can be broken. Will these two be able to get on the same page and realize that, together, they have what it takes to go all the way?
I’d been looking for someone nearly my whole adult life that made me feel like she did. Now, wondering if I’d found her, I was concerned she didn’t want the same thing.
These two were so darn fun! Dana was a tough cookie, I loved her sass and her candor. When she let her guard down and let Cord in were some of my favorite moments. I could understand where she was coming from with her insecurities and her opinions on what Cord wanted from her, even though I wanted to shout at her to stop doubting his intentions!! Given the situation they were in and how Cord’s hands were basically tied, I can see why she might think he was just having a good time. But knowing where Cord was coming from and seeing how much he was into her, I wanted to shake some sense into her on more than on occasion! But these imperfections and quirks were what made her so realistic and even while it frustrated me, I still loved it!
So handsome. So fun. So damn weird. So good at making it all seem real. That was the moment I realized Cord had the power to rip my guts out, and I was probably going to let him.
Freaking Cord Taylor!! M. Mabie has a real knack for creating believable, real life heroes that you just have to fall in love with. For as hot and confident as he was, I loved how Dana could render him into an awkward, goofy mess. He made the silliest little things swoonworthy and I loved the awkward moments as much as I loved the hot and sexy ones. I can’t even adequately describe what an amazing guy Cord was, he was always respectful and I loved all the little gestures and thoughts that just showed what a considerate and caring guy he was. Even more than just how he treated Dana, he was a great friend, boss and mentor as well. Then, of course, he was ridiculously hot and the chemistry between him and Dana was sizzling! It truly was such a joy reading this story, I wish it didn’t have to end! I loved all of the secondary characters too and wouldn’t be sad if M. Mabie decided to revisit this world sometime! If you are looking for a fun, sexy, sweet, realistic, slightly angsty book, do not miss All the Way!!
Cord Taylor is a successful thirty-two-year-old entrepreneur, a lady’s man and does not suffer from any self- esteem issues. He loves woman, loves having sex with them and chalks it all up to gaining experience for when he meets the “One”.
I enjoy making women feel beautiful and special. Not for sex or to gain some reputation, but because-when it all boils down- I don’t ever want to miss out on her. The One.
Dana is sick of wasting her time on losers. She’s attracted to good looking bad boys, but those are the ones she should stay away from. She caught the guy she’d been dating for three months red handed. Cheating on her. She didn’t let him know she saw him, but he’s out of here.
I might have technically broken things off with Cameron, the Last Official Ken Doll, but I was still wearing last night’s dress, and she knew it. Okay. Okay. I still slept with him. For old time’s sake. One for the road, as they say.
Dana is looking for her sister Jodi at the coffee shop where she works. She’s on the phone complaining about why she can’t meet a guy who can give her what she wants when Cord, who owns the shop, overhears her. Dana is gorgeous and sassy and Cord wants her. But they have a little run in, and she takes off. It’s not long before Cord finds out who she is. His best friend Reuben is marrying Dana’s best friend Becca. They are both going to be in the wedding. But Reuben warns Cord off of Dana-Becca doesn’t need the drama and Cord goes through women like water.
There’s sparks and chemistry and lust between these two-but things are kept on the down low. Is this all about hooking up or something more?
When I found the right girl, I’d always told myself I’d jump. Dive right in. That if it was right, I’d know. Then I’d do everything in my power to give her the best. That I’d be ready. I’d failed myself and Dana in the process.
I have to admit that I wasn’t crazy about either of these characters. Cord was too arrogant for me and Dana-I just never warmed up to her character. She wanted to meet a good, stable guy but she seemed to have a problem curbing her sexual impulses. But I am a huge fan of M. Mabie’s so I wouldn’t hesitate to read her next release.
“I never said anything to you that I didn’t mean.”
DNF for now ~ I just could not get into this one. It may just be my frame of mind so I may come back to it. Was my first read by this author and I am assured that she is good so most probably a case of it's not you it's me.
"Do you like me or are you just trying to use me for sex?" "The truth?" "Yeah." "Maybe a little of both."
Oh, Miss Mabie, you have slayed me once again!!!
Gahhhhh!! I'm so in love with Cord Taylor! *Praise hands and muppet flails*
That man is all sexy and adorably awkward at the same time! And Dana is his perfect match with her snarkiness and sass!!
"He just made it all feel so real."
"Dana Rogers wasn't just some woman."
Yes, this book was all kinds of sexy and full of anticipation, but it was also very sweet. You got to see two people slowly fall in love, and yet, they loved each other from the start.
Cord and Dana were a match made in dysfunctional heaven! I loved their banter, their push and pull, and their chemistry.
"Strange, how in the midst of all the chaos, we were separate, yet very together in that one look."
M. Mabie has this way with her writing that has you laughing out loud, swooning, fanning yourself, and then pulling heartstrings all in a matter of a few chapters.
I WANT MORE CORD AND DANA!! Can I have that?! Pleeeeaaaaassseee?!
OK, fine. But I would love to have some secondary characters get their story told;)
I did enjoy this book but for me it feel flat in so many areas. It was a different read that what I have read from this author. I enjoyed the story line but i just didn't get lost in the story like I wanted to.
AHHHHH! M FREAKING Mabie! You know what Mo's books remind me of? S'mores! Now I know that sounds weird so hear me out. You know how S'mores have layers of yummy goodness! A strong outer layer, a soft hot steamy middle with a smooth and heavenly sweetness. That's Mo's books!! Strong, dynamic characters that I fall in love with every time! I love their flaws. I love how real they feel and I legit had to hold my stomach because I was dying with laughter! I couldn't believe how fantastically hilarious this book was.
So Dana, our heroine is feisty, sassy, beautiful, independent and a little self depreciating. In fact, if I'm being honest there were a few times when I wanted to pinch her or kick her in her shin. I understood her though. She loves the "hot ones" who doesn't? But now she wants more out of a relationship. More depth, something true and maybe something that's forever. When she bumps into the ultimate of the hot ones she can't help herself. One more hot ride before she gets serious.
Cord. Thinking about him makes me sigh and smile. I feel like he is each thing. All the things. Every thing. He's smart, goofy, strong, loyal, kind, compassionate, thoughtful and in the bedroom.....DOWN. AND. DIRTY. So, bascically he's perfect! When Cord has a chance meeting with Dana in a coffee shop he doesn't know how to take her. She's a little stand offish, a little quirky, very stubborn, gorgeous and everything he didn't know he wanted.
All the Way is the kind of story that completely takes you over because it's gloriously hot, angsty , stupid funny, heartfelt and sincere. M Mabie gets it right everytime.
I liked this book. It was too heavy with angst, but then it wasn't super saccharine either. It kept me entertained, wanting to know how everything would work out.
Dana...she is rough for me to describe. I liked her. For the most part. She was in her head way too much. So much, in fact, that she damn near sabotaged everything. She was quirky and feisty and I loved that. And in the beginning, her second-guessing and questioning of everything made sense. She'd set a goal for herself and of course something (or someone) would come along and mess it all up. Of course she'd be freaked out and in many ways, insecure. But after a while I just wanted her to stop. After everything Cord did, the way he acted and pretty much contradicted all her preconceived notions should have been a giant slap of reality, but instead, she twisted his actions. She took every nice thing and made it ugly. I am glad that she apologised though. I'm glad it wasn't a him chase her her thing because Dana had a lot to make up for. Including that whole Joe thing. No, he didn't want anyone to know because of the stupid promise, but she could have said something instead of coming up with Joe.
Cord...I loved him. He was a bit neurotic, well mostly in regards to Dana, but he was adorable and loyal and sweet. I did think his promise to Reuben was dumb. The man is 32 years old, and didn't deserve to be treated like a child. And he definitely shouldn't have agreed to that treatment. Crazy Bridget's aside - because that sounded like a disaster he didn't even want to be a part of but was forced to - he really hadn't done anything to warrant being treated like an asshole. Because he wasn't. I loved the way he fell all over himself once Dana entered his life. How he was cool, calm, and collected no more. It was adorable to watch him go from someone so confident, to someone working harder to be confident. Not that he lost any of his swagger. And he did so much for Dana - it made me swoon, to be honest. Where can I find a guy like Cord Taylor? Sweet, sexy, successful, works with his hands and enjoys it...come on. I'm glad that in the end he didn't cave and chase Dana. He laid it all out for her, gave her his heart, which she promptly stomped on, and because of that, I did not want this to be one of those stories where he chased her like he'd done something wrong. Yes, his promise was stupid but he wasn't 100% to blame here. And the way she acted at the wedding, hell leading up to the wedding, she needed to grovel.
One of the reasons I couldn't give this 5 stars is because of the ending. It just felt too abrupt. So even though I loved their resolution, I feel like there should have been more. Also, the epilogue was too short. Not enough time had passed for me to get a good grasp on Dana and Cord as a couple. Besides, unless there are other books coming out, what happened with or Nolan and his love life. Does he ever get one? More than that, I wanted to see the future glimpse, not just a few months glance.
Either way, this was a good read and I will definitely come back to it one day.
This crew.. This hot as sin and sweet guy... This romance. I loved everything about this book or almost everything...
One thing what just annoyed the heck out of me and drove me crazy was well the main conflict basically....
I understood the rreasons for the lets keep the romance a secret till the timing is perfect.. BUT our heroine's - ( the feisty and sweet but oh god I needed the patience sometimes during reading her thoughts because I wanted to kill her) Dana 's well I cant say it otherwise " fucked up idea and picture about certain things, about our sweetheart hero was just maddening.. but I couldnt stay mad at her for long because the book was just too sweet and good for any bad feelings..
Going to stalk our dear author now for more books because I am sure they will be fives too..
I picked up All The Way under recommendation from an author and I was not disappointed!!!
This was my first book from M. Mabie, I love finding new authors who can bring to life characters who you can connect with and Ms. Mabie did exactly that.
Cord and Dana (I'm biased but I love her name), meet in the unlikeliest way: she comes into his coffee shop. She thinks he's just a barista, he thinks she is a pretty interesting gal. Welcome to the fun and crazy start of Cord and Dana!!!
I loved this entire book! One thing that stood out to me: the banter between Cord and his buddies and then the banter between Cord and Dana.
I can't even express how great this book was. I'm just sad that I'm done! It's such a feel good kind of book. It was so relatable that is was so easy to get right into it. Dana and Cords relationship was one so many of us have either been through or know someone like them. I absolutely loved this story. And the book was so funny! There were so many burst out loud moments! It's was sexy, funny, it tore my heart open and then put it back together! Awesome combo you look for in a book!!!

3.5 stars I really enjoyed this book. I bought it in a whim simply because it was on sale. I didn’t read anything about it other than a small introduction and thought I would give it a shot. It turned out to be a fun and sweet read with some dandy steamy moments too.
