Are you ready to make your dreams of personal and professional growth a reality?
After expending your time reading this you realize only two chapters were actually helpfull, and even those two are thing you might find in any youtube motivational video. Also the writing is very boring.
Really hard to finish, but I powered through. I couldn’t stand the “back and forth” between the authors, and almost none of the material was new or valuable. A few gems of wisdom, but overall, sort of dull.
I‘m usually hesitant when it comes to self-help books, but my professor recommended this and when I saw it‘s only 0.99 € on Kindle I thought I‘d give it a go.
The Growth Mindset has two authors, which I thought was great, one that gives advice on personal growth and one gives advice on professional growth. The book comes with a free workbook so no extra costs as with so many other self-help books that want you to buy another book for 20 € just so you can answer some questions for „self-discovery“ or something in there. It‘s also very short, under 200 pages, so no unnecessary blah-blah, where the same thing is repeated over and over again.
All in all there was no groundbreaking new information, but I enjoyed reading the book and filling out some of the questions, and would recommend it if you‘re looking for a self-help book on personal and/or professional growth.
What I liked most are the practical steps or ideas given for personal development. Covers wide range of scenarios. I'd recommend this book to someone looking to grow in their career or even someone not sure how to deal with certain growth limitations in your current environment.
To get the most of this book. Very insightful and informative. The authors are being a couple in the book made me feel like talking to them personally at their home. The way of presentation was new for me.
The book is decent, but I do think it could have been organized better. Joshua and Helen had great points but again, it needed to be organize more efficiently to get to the essential elements of the book.
The handbook is very useful and offers a structured approach to planning for success personally and professionally. There are far too many grammatical errors, which impact the flow of the book.
Really good reminder about approach to failure, and how we respond to mistakes errors and being wrong is key to how we get on in life. Fixed mindset: growth mindset.
