Is stress, anxiety, or panic ruining your life? Are you tired of failing to recover? Are those "quick fix" approaches failing to deliver results?

That may well be because you're much more like a garden than you are an electrical appliance! Healing anxiety is an organic process, not just nuts and bolts! Anxiety Specialist Therapist, John Crawford, the author, learned this the hard way when he experienced a terrifying descent into severe anxiety and depression during his twenties and spent many fruitless years seeking the elusive "quick fix" solution before finally meeting a gifted therapist who guided him skilfully to understand what really makes a full recovery possible! Now, almost 25 years later, with that understanding fully cemented, John has spent the last 13 years of his life working as a professional therapist, specialising in the treatment of anxiety disorders.

Anxiety Relief is a warm, compassionate, and expert book to help anxious, panicky, or stressed people, written from both sides of the therapeutic couch!

If you're suffering, and you don't know how to gain relief from your anxiety, then this book is for you. It's wide in scope but laser-focussed on ensuring that you get results! The tools and understanding presented here are the same proven tools that John has been using to help anxious people successfully recover for many years.

Inside "Anxiety Relief" you'll discover: -

How to create the correct mindset for full and permanent recovery from (even severe) anxiety.
How to fully understand the brain's evolutionary role in creating stress, anxiety, depression, panic and negative thinking, and how to use that understanding to take back control.
Why self-love, the right resources, and appropriate skills are essential components for recovery when anxiety attacks!
Why just throwing random "techniques" at an anxiety problem won't resolve the core of the problem, and what to do instead.
How compassionate connection with your most vulnerable self will turbo-charge your recovery time and offer long-term stability, and how to do it!
Why your subconscious mind keeps you locked in anxiety, and how to work WITH that mind to stop the internal war!
How to avoid soul-destroying, resource-sucking wrong turns!
And much, much more!

Anxiety Relief is written with sparkling clarity to provide an expert step by step anxiety recovery system which any anxiety sufferer can understand and put into immediate use. This book goes well beyond the usual "Do this and you'll feel better" formula however. It will provide you with an explanation of the many angles you can employ to make things better and provide you with the great missing ingredient that causes many anxiety sufferers to fail in recovery - HEART!

Hello. My name is John Crawford. In 1993, I experienced a descent into severe anxiety and depression which took me the best part a decade to recover from. After working with an amazing therapist, I was so inspired by the transformation I underwent that I became a professional therapist myself in 2003. I specialised in the treatment of anxiety related disorders for thirteen years. With over twenty years of anxiety related experience behind me, I have developed a profound understanding of the steps necessary to achieve real recovery from anxiety, depression, and OCD. When you are a therapist you can't afford to use tools or understanding which won't deliver results. Your job is to help people recover, and they are paying you to do it! I had to get it right. And I did. My point? My writing is based on over seven thousand hours of real-world clinical experience with real sufferers in crisis. I want to share that understanding with you.

I closed my one to one practice in January 2016 to concentrate on writing, speaking, and teaching, and my first book "You Can Fix Your Anxiety" is proudly published here as a result. I wrote this book from the heart. It's actually been years in the making. I designed the book to be as close to a personal therapy as possible, and many areas of important understanding are covered. It's not just one or two ideas rehashed and padded. It's a book which will lead you step by step to understand exactly what anxiety and depression actually are, how the states are inappropriately triggered, and what exactly needs to happen in order to recover. While there is good science at work, it's also a very warm book. My primary motivation for writing it, was simply to deliver help to as many sufferers as I can reach. I know the misery of anxiety and depression, and if I can help, then I'm happy!

Thank you for taking an interest, and if you read the book, I sincerely hope that you'll find it illuminating, clear, insightful, and profoundly helpful! I'm sure you will.

John

I learned many helpful and practical techniques and methods for dealing with PTSD, severe stress, and anxiety disorders from reading this book. I know first-hand how miserable it is to suffer from depression for so long that it feels like a permanent malady, but John Crawford's brilliant book and suggestions for working on various mental/physical issues through various techniques, gives me hope that anyone can improve their lives. This book is so thorough and has such comprehensive content, that I believe that it's the best book that I've discovered in it's category, on the market! For the first time in a long time, I'm hopeful about regaining a normal life again, or that at the very least, that life will get a little bit better for me. John's books are the only books that I've read to date, that finally make me feel more hopeful about my future! He's an absolute Angel and a fantastic miracle worker! That's HUGE!!! I love his books, and I love his wonderful recordings. I'm still a long way from reclaiming the previous zest for life that I used to have long before I became a shadow of my former self. And I'm still a work in progress, but at least the key word here is "progress." It's been a long time since I've had any hope for any kind of future, much less a better future, or any real, lasting, happiness. But in the time since I started reading John's books and listening to his recordings, I've been starting to feel a little bit better than I have in a long, long, LONG, time.

John Crawford is absolutely brilliant, and it gives me confidence that he understands the importance of psychological/physical issues, since he fought his own personal anxieties, terrors, depression, and hopelessness, and finally battled his way through over a course of several years, and that he cared enough about helping or rescuing other people who are or were, also desperate with PTSD, anxiety, and stress disorders, to train and acquire the proper skills, credentials, psychological training, and other trainings necessary to try and help other people regain their own health. He's "been there, done that," and he cared enough to pass on his hard--won, acquired skills and knowledge, to anyone and everyone who needs them, whether its through his working practice, books, lessons, audio recordings, blogs, or other methods of help! THANKS, JOHN CRAWFORD! I believe that you're an "Angel on Earth!" I didn't think that my life was ever going to get better. But your help and support continue to give me hope again. THANK YOU! And thanks to your wonderful wife, for sharing and supporting your studies, works, and book writing! She must be the most incredible woman--since it's been said that behind every great man is a great woman! I THANK YOU BOTH AND WISH BOTH OF YOU ALL OF THE BEST!

John Crawford's professional designation as a "hypno/psycho-therapist" belies his holistic and intensely personal approach to relieving - healing, as he calls it - anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and chronic stress. Crawford positions himself as an ally, a guide, and a fellow-traveller on the road to recovery. True to his stated intentions, Anxiety Relief contains a multitude of helpful techniques, but the solid underpinning of self-knowledge and self-acceptance he constructs is what makes his approach a bit different. As a layperson, I found much helpful information and explanation. As a human being who suffers from some of the conditions discussed, I found encouragement, hope, and help. As a lifetime consumer of professional mental health services, I rate Anxiety Relief as a better resource than many of the professional treatments I have received. I am reviewing an ARC of this book, the opinion expressed is mine alone, and I am deeply grateful for the blessing.

A non-fiction self-help book focusing on anxiety and depression. Crawford includes vital information so you can make decisions about treatments.

The first part is an in-depth look into the brain and the science behind anxiety and depression. Bright diagrams and charts break up the text and add clarity.

Crawford writes useful information about medication, prescribed treatments and other therapies. He also talks about how self-love and empathy are important factors to recovery. Also, acceptance and overcoming fear of fear. If you realise you can cope with fear than your reactions will be less significant.

The book covers Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and includes essential worksheets. Crawford then tells his story. How he has overcome anxiety adding a personal element to the book.

If anxiety and depression are new to you, I would recommend this book. However, somebody who has been a long-term sufferer and in receipt of professional treatment may know most of the information already.
