Obscured was C. M.'s debut novel. What began as a way to spend her free time slowly transitioned into a passion for writing. She's currently working on her fifth novel. The best is yet to come!

C. M. is a mother of three. She grew up in the sunshine state of Arizona with a love of reading and an ambition to write. But never took her writing seriously until after the birth of her first child. After that, she took up writing more seriously in her spare time and hasn't stopped since.

I am not liking where this is heading. I love Eli and have a hard time believing Casey and the Elders especially since we know that one of the Elders is on Pete’s side.

The beginning is wonderful. Eli and Abby are together and happy. They are exploring being together and than whammo issues begin. Abby begins having more dreams, Pete kidnaps Ren and Eli has tragedy occur. When this tragedy hits Eli is angry. Rightfully so and he lashes out again understandable. What I don’t like here is Abby’s response- she turns to the Elders and gets close to Casey hoping to make Eli jealous. Dang Abby I had thought you had matured but alas you go do this.

Ren is as awesome as ever and so is Eli to an extent. He is dealing with alot in his life but he is there for Abby when she needs it. Although Casey is having this be questioned now. When Eli comes back around he is under scrutiny but why is the question? And seriously he was angry but that doesn’t mean he turns into something he isn’t. I don’t believe he would go against his core values and do what I believe is being implied.

Casey is a overall good guy and we are introduced to him and his team in this book. I don’t trust him as much as Ren and Eli but he does care for Abby. Abby I do have issues with. She can’t understand what Eli is going through and she decides that she needs to get involved. Like the past times weren’t disastrous what makes her think this time won’t be? She is trusting elders when we know one is a traitor and a group that no one has worked with before.

Overall the plot is good. We see a change into a darker element with Eli and Abby where no loyalty and love is being questioned. We see where Eli has to go through some tough times and tries to deal. Abby is trying to become more independent and is beginning to wonder about everyone around her.

A darker more dangerous atmosphere is seen in this book as our characters are now questioning each other and their loyalty to everyone and everything as their worlds are turned upside down and there may be a love triangle in the future. The only thing I hope is that Eli isn’t made out to be a darker horrible man because he is truly what has made this series and is a amazing character overall.

‘Divulge’ starts right where ‘Obscured’ ended. Abby and Eli are enjoying their life now Pete is out of their lives. That is at least what they think. When Abby and Eli find out that Pete kidnapped there friend Ren, there isn’t much else they can do but go after them. But finding Pete isn’t as easy as they hoped.
Soon more people are involved and Abby and Eli’s life change drastically. New friends are made and old friends aren’t who we thought they are.

I was really looking forward to reading this second book in the Obscured series. Although I had some trouble with the writing in the first book, I really loved it and couldn’t wait to read what happened next to the main characters. This book is possible even more exciting than the first book. There is a lot happening and you really need to pay attention to keep up with this book.
The writing was still a little too fast for me at times. For example when Abby and Eli were at an romantic date: something happened and they were immediately fighting, and two sentences further they forgave each other and everything was forgotten. It just felled to rushed at times.

But overall I really enjoyed this book and couldn’t read it fast enough. I just really wanted to know what would happen next. The main characters Abby and Eli are different in this book than in the first. And there are some new fun characters introduced. But this book also adds a lot of questions to what is really going on. Especially the last chapter made me want to scream. I just wanted to know more and I wasn’t ready to have to lay this book aside. I honestly can’t wait for the next book.

This story is very original and I really loved reading the first two books in the series. I can’t wait what book three will bring us.

Firstly, I will mention that you need to have read Obscured to be able to make sense of Divulge as it's a continuation of that story.

This time around we follow Abby and Eli along in the aftermath that was Pete and the trouble he caused in Obscured. At first it appears that Pete will get what he deserves and be punished for his crimes, but it doesn't pan out that way and Pete is still a thorn in their side. Let the drama's begin!

Our characters have matured a little since the previous installment and are more wise to the world around them, in particular Abby. This gift of sight that she appears to have in her dreams is developing but we still don't have any real answers as to the potential that she has in this regard. Eli, to me he becomes more of a mystery after a family tragedy affects him deeply and doubts are cast from one of Abby's new friends as to who he really is. I didn't see this coming but it's a new twist and I would like to see where this is taken.

Abby gains some new friends in this story to try and track down a killer, they are also protectors like Eli but they are even a little mysterious and we don't get to know them a great deal. I would like to learn more about this group as they've left me feeling little suspicious of them and their leaders motives.

The writing is sound but I felt as far as the story telling was concerned, that perhaps there weren't enough edge of your seat moments than what there could have been, and the big shocking moment in the middle of the book outshone the climax. However, one thing I do like is that it does feel like a teenager telling the story and not an adult like some books of this genre tend to be.

Overall, I did enjoy the story and I had no trouble reading it. I'm certainly interested to see where this story goes.

Author provided me with a copy in return for an honest review.

I got an advanced copy from the author for an honest review.
I must say that when I first got my hands on the book I was very excited. I had loved the first part and was keen to see how Abby and Eli were getting along on their adventures. So it was something of a shock to find out that not only was Eli not talking with Abby halfway through the book, but that Abby was intentionally spending time with Casey, just to make Eli mad. Not the best romance scenario. Specially since Eli was on the fast track to being a great Book Boyfriend in the first book. And the paranormal element was a lot more mixed up as well. It would be nice to know just what the Elders govern, and exactly why they want Abby protected. Anyhow, this book felt more like a stop gap measure to build up to a third book. Not as much fun as the first and it raised more questions than it answered. Hopefully the third in the series will provide us with a lot more answers.

Even Better Than The First!
After reading the first book in this series I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one. The story continues in this book right where the last book left off. I feel that the author really upped the ante with this book, it is even more exciting than the first, it's fast paced and really grabs you. Thank goodness it's a book and not a movie because if you look away you would miss something crucial. I found myself going back at one point because in my haste to turn pages and devour the story, something niggled at my mind that I had read over something important. So be on your toes! You can definitely feel that the story is building up. I really, REALLY wasn't prepared for the ending and I can't wait for the next in the series. I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book was very good. It kept my interest and was very hard to put down. You never could guess what was going to happen. If you like books with a lot of action, you will like this one. It has a surprising ending and can't wait for the next book.
