Artair MacConaill’s brothers are marrying faster than his father can keep up with, but that does not mean that the last of his brood is ready to take the leap.
Artair nurses the aching wound of a long ago love that went terribly wrong a few summers ago. And when his father informs him that he is to marry the very man who broke his heart—and took his virginity with it—all of Artair's worst fears are about to come true. In the Scottish Highlands arranged marriages are not uncommon, but with Artair's position as son of the Laird of Clan MacConaill, there are few choices that suit his rank.
Teirnan Laramie, bonnet laird and banner man to Artair's father, is taking his position as laird of the Laramie Estate, and he needs a mate. When the MacConaill makes a decision, there's no refusing him, so it comes to pass that the pair must be married, much to their joint dismay.
Can Artair and Teirnan move forward, despite their traumatic past? Or, are they destined to fight their passion forever, never knowing the truth that tore them apart?
A Carnal Decption is book 3 in the Highland Shifters series, but can be read as a standalone story. It has a HEA and no cliffhangers.
Don't forget to check out the other books in the series!

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This books contains mature language and explicit content, including male breeding and knotting, and is intended for audiences over 18 years of age.
Set in rather fictitious Scottish Higllands, this M/M shifter romance - part of an ongoing series - is nothing more than a short story in length (the rest is previews and bonus content) although it is self contained and has a HEA. The real issue, beside a nondescript writing and a hurried plot, is that it is a M/M story in name only: in this author's world, one of the two male leads may be male in name but his lot is that of being submissive in bed, of bearing the "real male's" children and of busying himself with the house and possibly with a little bit of charity. A real first lady of once upon a time. If the scope of an M/M romance must be that of replicating the most stale topoi of old fashioned M/F period fiction, I prefer to read a genuine M/F romance, possibly one which is longer, more fulfilling in plot, with better rounded characters and a leading lady who can sport at least the semblance of a spine.
