June 4, 2018This book was not at all what our book club was expecting when we selected it. It's definitely NOT romance/erotica like the description implies; it's actually a murder mystery. Which is fine, if that's what you're looking to read. And for the record, I usually enjoy murder mysteries. However, I found that the storyline was really disjointed. Every chapter switches to another character's perspective, and there's not a lot of indication as to how these characters are important until halfway through the book. On top of that, there's a lot of character background info being thrown at the reader at a rapid fire pace. I never got a chance to get attached to these characters before the book was ending. As for the ending, while it was shocking and surprising, it didn't convince me to keep reading this series.

I accidentally stumbled upon this crazy book, and what a frickin' awesome accident! Damn! This short book took my ass by surprise! From the cover your thinking; {some hot erotica read} Yeah, nope, there is a so much more to this book. I'm loving the mystery and the twist. Wow, what a cliffhanger! Thank goodness, all "4" books are out!

I'm sitting here currently in shock over this book, trying to process why it's written the way it is, and overall the different storylines going on. Then, it ends, and I'm in shock scrambling to download the rest of the series so I can keep reading.
This book gripped me in is clutches from the first page, and still hasn't let me go!

Etta is tired, she spend all the night working as nurse in the hospital, she wants arrive at home and spend a relaxing time with her boyfriend, but when she arrives at home… she feels that something is wrong… and yes, she was right. So, she gets her clothes and leaves the house… but something occurs…
Dr. Lincoln (Linx for friends) comes back from work when the car in front of him had a car crash. He helps without thinking, but Lincoln never thoughts that he meets the most beautiful woman he never see.
Detective Franklin is after a serial killer. The clues are few and there are already three dead women. Discover that they have a tattoo in common, but not more. He just wants to know who killed those women.
Three characters intertwined in the same story ... eager to know how the story continues.

June 18, 2018What the heck did I just read???!!! This story was nothing like the summary at the beginning of the book. Instead of getting a romance story, I get a murder mystery. I had to read the summary again just to make sure I was reading the right book. The author should be ashamed. This is the story of Etta and Lincoln. Etta gets into a car accident after breaking up with her boyfriend and Lincoln was the doctor that helped her heal. There was instant attraction between them both.
From the summary, I thought this story was about Etta and Lincoln. Then who the world is Franklin and why is he important? My first thought was either the author made a mistake and called a character by the wrong name or she was introducing too many characters at one time. That was confusing to me and it took away from the reading experience.
I was not into this story because the characters were not realistic. Etta got into an accident and was on morphine but she was thinking about how hot her doctor was and trying to figure out if "he was either the healthiest forty year old or the more mature thirty". That did not make any sense. The author did not make these characters sexy in any sense. Etta looked too desperate throughout the book. She was too on the rebound. I think Dr. Lincoln is not into women. What man describes another man's body as "a body like a bull" and mentions his chiseled face? Then he winked at a coworker and jogs towards the elevator. And finally, what grown man wants to be called "Linx"? No sir. He sounds kinda suspect.
There was no interaction between Etta and Lincoln. It was not believable that they would be together in any way other than as doctor and patient. Etta was letting her imagination roll away with her. She was on the rebound from a cheating relationship. And the sex scene that did happen between them was thrown in there to make it look like they had some sort of chemistry.
I did not see the direction of this story. There is speculation here and there, but there is no real connection between the stories of these characters. What made the story plummet over the edge of the cliff was the cliffhanger. I was so done then. This book did a bait and switch. I am not looking forward to the next book.

Brooke Kinsley started this series off with a bang. I am still in shock as if I were the one in a car accident. The author was able to grab me and pull me to the edge of my seat while reading Sex Prescribed. When the time came to an end, I literally was yanked from my place with thoughts of "Wait...what?" and "Maybe I read that wrong!"
Etta is very likable and a total sweetheart to a fault. She has had a string of bad luck as if the dams busted lose on her life. Will she get her happily ever after? I hope so!

With the author leaving us readers with one hell of a cliffhanger, I can't imagine what will happen to Etta. With a serial killer in her city and no one to turn to, I wonder how deeply she will be wrapped into the thick of things. There are so many ways that the author can take these characters and I am chomping at the bit to find out more.
Short, sassy and suspenseful read. I would definitely recommend reading Sex Prescribed (Jewels and Panties series, book one).
Check out this gem.. definitely worth the time and would be willing to place bets on this becoming an addictive series.

This is a story about a girl who finds out her lifelong friend and husband of ten years is cheating on her. She's devastated and can't seem to make any sense of the drastic turn her life has made. Lincoln, a very wealthy and sexy billionaire doctor works all the time and has no real social life to speak of and spends most of his time working. He meets Etta by fluke when he happens to be in traffic due to a car wreck that she's involved in. From there the story takes a new turn for the two of them, BUT while their blooming romance is taking place, murders of women are taking place within their city. There were some surprises for me that I didn't expect and I have a feeling that book two will be even more interesting. Again this is another story that keeps you wanting so much more. Its new love possiblity, surpises, intrique, suspense and lots of characters to keep up with. This book Will keep you turning the page. WOW!!! Wow, what a cliffhanger and the suspense continues! Thrills, murder, mystery, intrigue, suspense, and passion continue to keep you glued to the pages of this fascinating romantic suspense. This was a great story that is full of emotional angst and a compelling storyline. I loved how the romantic relationship builds between the two protagonists. A poignant story about a woman who marries her high school sweetheart and then finds out that her husband has been cheating on her after 10 years of marriage—then she meets a doctor. Etta is a nurse at a hospital, and because of her devastation and heartbreak, she is involved in a car accident. Lincoln is handsome, sexy and a billionaire as well as a world class biomechanics inventor, but he is also a doctor—his first love to save people. Lincoln was on his way home after a long shift when he notices the car accident and he starts helping people. Then, he notices Etta and the story takes a turn from there. There are several twists and turns within the story that makes it interesting. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next. This story will pique your interest and draw you in from the beginning to the very end. I cannot wait to read Book 2.

In her professional life, Etta is a nurse devoted to helping people. In her personal life, Etta is devoted to her high school sweetheart, Craig, and they have been together for 10 years. Etta discovers that Craig has cheated on her and spent their entire savings. Devastated, Etta is involved in a car accident after leaving Craig. Coming upon the scene of the accident is Lincoln, a doctor who works at the same hospital as Etta although they have never met. Lincoln is a billionaire but being a doctor comes first for him. Lincoln attends to her at the scene and back at the hospital as she recovers.
Now, you may be thinking this is a typical romance book but it is not. Yes, the two of them are attracted to each other and yes, they begin a relationship but there is a another story to this book that puts a huge twist into it and it leaves you with a cliffhanger that makes your jaw drop. I thought I had a good idea what was going on but the end was definitely not what I was expecting and now I cannot wait to dive into the next book.
This book is only 94 pages so you can read it in under an hour and you will be waiting impatiently for the next one to come out. I highly recommend this series.

Etta thought she had it all a happy life with her childhood sweetheart until she comes home early one day then everything fall apart for her which results in her getting into an accident and the charming doctor happens to be a few cars back so rushes in to help save her, when she's ready to leave hospital she doesn't know where she's going to go so Lincoln helps her get settled in an half way house as he's been stopping in to check up on her while she was in hospital.
Lincoln can't wait to get home after a long day in the hospital but then an accident happens in front of him so he rushes in to help save the woman who is hurt. When he pops into see Etta he can't believe how sexy she is and wants to ask her out but is it to soon with everything she s going through. With a killer on the lose is anyone safe as Lincoln has put Etta in the house where the woman have been turning up dead.
Omg you will never see what is coming you must read this book can't wait to read the next part of this story.

This is the first book of Ms. Kinsley that I have read and I am very intrigued! This is a series and the book ends in an unexpected cliffhanger.
Etta is a very dedicated nurse who has been with her fiancee for 10 years now. Unfortunately she finds out when she gets home that he has been cheating on her! Leaving him, she gets into a very serious car accident but was saved by Lincoln, a dedicated doctor who was also an inventor of a medical device which made him a billionaire. The 2 have an instant attraction that they can't help but act on after Etta gets out of the hospital from her injuries.
Another part of the story in this series, is the strange serial murders of women that is being investigated by Detective Franklin. Somehow, the storylines wind up looking like their impact each other....but how? That is the mystery that we need to find out!

I got this book as an ARC for my honest opinion and review. I love the title of this book it just screams that something naughty is going to be inside the pages. Etta has it all. The dream job of being a nurse where she saves lives and her love that was her high school sweetheart. That all ends when she finds him cheating. She just has to escape. That is when the crash happens. Lincoln sees the crash and stops to help and discovers one driver dead and the other struggling to stay conscious. He knows that being a doctor comes first and he has to find a way to save her. So will this doctor and nurse heat things up or will it be all sterile as the operating room? you will have to just read and find out.

What a brilliant book to start a new series but ohh how I hate waiting for the second one when the first one is left as a cliffhanger of massive proportions. My mind is playing all sorts of tricks wondering if it really is the good Dr or not.
A book that will have you on the edge of your seat the story line or three are well woven together and the characters pop out of the page to greet you. A bit of everything in this one but I won't be the one to give it away you need to buy it and read it yourself and see if you are not just as hooked as I am.

Good story with a twist
This was a fairly quick read and I'm now needing to read the next book since it ended with a cliffhanger. And boy oh boy what a cliffhanger it was. Definitely didn't see it coming and wasn't disappointed.
Etta thought her life was put together and going great till one night that changed everything. She's down on her luck until she's saved by a doctor.
Lincoln is the doctor who saved Etta's life. A very sexy and confident doctor at that. He works all the time and volunteers as well. Etta and Lincoln definitely have chemistry happening between the two of them.
Can't wait to read the next book and find out more.

Wow! First time reading a book by this author. Gotta say I enjoyed reading this book.

Lincoln is one of the top surgeons in at the hospital. One day leaving home after his shift he notices a car crash up ahead. As he goes to see if can help he was memorized by the female in front of him.
Need to find out what happens next.

Lincoln is a respected surgeon who happens to see the accident and saves ettas life
There is an attraction there which the both act on, howrver there is a killer on the loose this is a novella and there is a good twist in the book which wil carry in in book 2 i cannot reallybsay much more with giving too much away recommended read throughly enjoyed it

Oh my goodness! So where do I start? This book totally threw me for a loop. There was twist and what you thought was not it at all. It was so well written that I devoured every single word in this book. A short read but, a great read you will not regret it. You need to buy this book. There is a cliffhanger in the end which makes me look forward to book number two.

This is the first book i have read by author Brooke Kinsley. It's part of a series and ends with a cliff hanger. It is a short read. Can I say OMG. I really didn't know what to except when I started reading Sex Prescribed. It's not your average romance that's for sure. The ending left me with an OMG moment. I can't believe what I just read. I started screaming!!! I'm so excited to start the next book to see what happens. I received Sex Prescribed as ARC for an honest review.

Etta just had the worst day of her life. After a hard day at night at work as a nurse she comes home and finds out that her boyfriend is sleeping with another woman. Her plan is to drive to her mother but she is involved in a car accident. The sexy doctor and billionaire sees the crash and helps. But is Lincoln a good guy?
It is a quick read but a exciting one. There is definitely a catch and I am looking forward to find out what will happen. The book was great definitely worth reading

Holy Shite! I had no idea what I was about to read when I started this book! As it progressed I still could not guess where it was headed! I honestly thought it was going to be a typical romance! But boy was I wrong!
Etta caught her 2 timing asshat of a man having an affair while she was saving lives as a nurse during the night shift. She was distraught since she had been with the love of her life since high school so she took off. Cloudy vision from tears and lots of traffic prevented her from paying close attention to the oncoming car that ran a red light! In and out of consciousness she was oblivious to her surroundings. That's when hunky billionaire surgeon/ inventor, Lincoln became her savior....this book ended with an awesome twist! I absolutely can not wait to see where Brooke takes me next.

Wow just wow not at all what I thought I was going to read,the twists and suspence in this book was fantastic I read in one sitting.You can guess whats going to go down but you will be wrong every time and will leave you saying OMG WHAT!!!!!! I need book 2

There's a mystery afoot, and it's twisted - oh, so twisted. This first book in the series is well-written and quickly pulled me in. It's a fast read and impossible to put down as the players in this tale are introduced. Brooke Kinsley weaves a great tale and left me with an "I can't believe she did that!" moment. I can't wait to see what's coming in the next installment of this series.

Incredible start to this series. Great plot that is very well written and developed. Wonderful characters, Etta and Lincoln have explosive chemistry which makes for some really hot and sexy scenes. Cliffhanger ending definitely left me wanting more and I can't wait to read the next book!

Lincoln and Etta were so hot together! Even though circumstances threw them together, their attraction could not be denied. I loved this first installment - it does end in a cliffhanger, but I think you won't be disappointed! I loved this book - steamy and rich with intrigue. This is my first book by Brooke Kinsley and I can't wait to dig in to the more.
This is so different from the books I've read recently. It is fast paced and keeps you on the edge of our seat. And then BAM you reach the end of the book and you are thinking, ok maybe screaming, "WHAT JUST HAPPENED"? I went back thinking i missed something or accidentally fell asleep reading.

Unexpected Meeting
This the start of a dark , complex story. The characters are brought to life through their behavior and feelings. Who are they REALLY?? Weak, strong, caring, intuitive, sick or more. Etta and Lincoln, the plot thickens.

Changes
Etta went home after a day at the hospital. Only to find her childhood boyfriend/fiancee had an affair. She packed leaving him crying. Driving to her mom's out of no where she was hit.
