Jules and I grew up together, living as brother and sister. Two different moms and the same drunk, abusive sorry excuse for a father Larry.
I’d always wondered why the old man and I couldn’t stand each other, until the day he let me know the truth–he wasn’t my real father.
When social workers finally took Jules and me away from him, she became adopted, and I bounced from foster home to foster home, landing myself in trouble until I wised up, trained like a beast and became an MMA champion fighter.
On the day Jules re-entered my life, I took one look at her cute round face and luscious curves and knew I was a goner. There’s not a damn thing brotherly about the way I feel for my girl. Jules belongs to me, always has and I dare anyone to tell me what I feel for her is wrong or that we shouldn’t be together.
Warning: This is a sweet romance, packed with tension and explicit scenes and language. This is a pseudo brother-sister theme. Please do not read if this might offend you.
Delilah Hunt is a serial daydreamer, known to stop in the middle of conversations to ponder something a character in her head has done, or is about to do. No, she isn't ready for the straitjacket yet. At least not until she brings to life all the heroes and villains vying for her attention.
Loved how crazy the H was for the h and it was certainly a HOT story. Still I don't think the issue with their taboo relationship was resolved in the media. Nevertheless, this author is a serious talent.
This Wattpad story was really enjoyable and one of the best stepbrother stories I’ve read anywhere. The MMA setting and characters seemed real, with flaws inherent in the many relationships depicted. I loved the “all in” devotion between Maddox and Jules and never doubted their feeling for each other.
I highly recommend this novella, especially if you enjoy a well-written and safe stepsibling story. Hopefully Ms Hunt has some more stories planned around the secondary characters because Roman, Claire, and Georgia need their stories told, too.
I am fan of this author's work and this is her first non-multicultural book. I've enjoyed many of her multicultural books in the past and I have to say this one is a winner as well. Maddox and Jules (Juliet) have a connection built on trust born from harrowing circumstances. Initially raised by her father, both children suffered by his hand. Maddox is older, a boy left to be raised by a man who resented that he wasn't his actual son and Jules in the little girl who should have been raised with love but instead was also abused by her parent.
There's the taboo element of the two thinking they were related when they were much younger, but the truth was revealed to them as children that Maddox wasn't related to the man he thought was father and then shortly after the two children were split up for about a decade. Some people think that's still a sinful element to their love but I do not. It's around the line but I think that they were separated for many years as well as spent their formative years knowing the truth that they weren't related takes the side-eye element out of the equation. You can tell the two protagonists have a bond that is deep and strong, which is lovely to see.
Maddox is a total alpha character. He's got residual control and anger issues from his upbringing but you can tell Jules is his world by his every thought. Jules is young, but she's a survivor. The home she was raised in after being split from Maddox as a child wasn't much better than the one she was taken from, but despite her unenviable past, she's a got a strong spirit and a warm personality. They fit each other well.
Entertaining book with some violence due to Maddox being a MMA fighter but otherwise it's a sexy romance with two people who deeply love the heck out of each other.

Maddox and Jules arebexplosive from the very beginning... Maddox is the ultimate fantasy come true with his possessiveness!! I freaking love that Jules is curvy and stands by her man no matter what!!
