This book has so much information in it about flowers and their meanings. It doesn’t have drawings of photos of the flowers like I expected but, it is still a wonderful way to get to know every flower and it’s meaning. After reading this I know there are meanings behind flowers like crystals. I will decently call my children after flowers for they have such amazing ideas behind them that I wasn’t aware existed.🌼
I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it is just a book of lists. You have a term, like love, hope, peace and the flowers which represent that term. Or you have a list of flowers and their meanings. A decent reference for someone writing a book and need to add a bit of detail. I think I want more actual pictures of flowers.
If you want to know all the possible meanings that some people consider to be behind pretty much any flower under the sun, this book is it. It was interesting flipping through the pages, but I was hoping it would tell the stories behind the reasons people assigned the flowers each value / virtue / meaning. So the search continues for a book about such legends & lore!
I love this quick reference guide! It's so lovely and well organized. It might have been improved if I could see pictures of the flowers themselves, though. Would recommend!
