*contains spoilers*

I couldn't stand the two main characters in this story, Eloise had a stick stuck so far up her ass and Gabe was a whiny little bitch. Excuse my french.

Gabe had been in love with Eloise since grade school and when she coincidently came to his tattoo palor for a genital piercing (am I the only person who flinches as the thought? *shivers*) he convinced her to go on a date so he could teach her the wonders of sex.

The only problem was Gabe blamed Eloise's parents for the death of his mother.

And here lies my biggest issue. Gabe was a whiny little bitch who after over a decade still blames doctors for his mother withholding symptoms and leaving it too late before actually going to the doctors. He blamed Eloise most of her life because she was the easiest target and found it hard to deal with his emotions for her because of his hatred for her parents.

Her parents being the doctors who missed her cancer because she came in presenting only with a back ache and refused to mention the other *embarrassing* symptoms that could of helped them identify the problem.

Once again, drama for the sake of drama. I can't stand it, it drives me up the wall.

Gabe was twenty-seven, I think at that age a human being can discern truth from fiction. I understand the grief he must deal with after losing his mother young, but the whole story was based on a person being completely unreasonable. Gabe was immature and reckless, not a good combination in my opinion.

He pressured Eloise into having sex in her office, which if her parents didn't own the practice she worked at, would have resulted in her being fired.

And if the fact she had sex with a patient got to the medical board she could have had her license revoked. HER LICENSE REVOKED?! Honestly, she risked her career for the Big O?

Priorities people, do you have any?

I was trying for something light and funny to get rid of this book funk. Honestly I found myself again, being fooled by my own foolishness. So the female mc is this 27 years old uptight straight laced physiotherapist who never had a O in her life and decided to get her vajayjay pierced. So far, normal imo. BUUUT... she called this tattoo parlor and makes this appointment with a woman so she would feel more comfortable. She never had a tattoo and she didn't even know is she knew anyone who had tattoos so she never had to go to a tattoo parlor before, right. Again, normal imo. Then comes the part where things get ridiculous. Where the female mc gets ridiculous and of course becomes this hot and bothered woman in the presence of a hot male.
When she got there for her appointment the girl who was supposed to pierce her wasn't there. Can anyone guess who was? Yep.. out hot tattooed only dude. Btw, the 1st impression he left on the female mc was "fear". Ooohhhh.. a big scary tattoo dude. #not. Lol
After a little talking and her asking him where the girls was and he telling her she wouldn't be there and he would be the one to do her genital piercing she refused for a second and turned to leave but only took the male mc tells her she would really feel good that she decided right there she would allow him to do it. Not very shy at all for out uptight girl, eh??!!
What happens next is a bunch of unbelievable events even for romance fiction it was too much to suspend belief. A person don't change her ways in a matter of seconds. For a person who overthinking everything like we were let know the female mc did, this openness to this freshly met male mc was too much.
They were having entire conversation with her clit between his finger and her feeling hot and bothered. She was so wet she drenched the tower he had under her.

"As he touches it, my walls flood and I inwardly thank him for putting down the towel. "
"Unexpectedly, a deep moan escapes my throat, and I immediately blaze scarlet from head to toe......., I struggle to care about anything other than Gabe's fingers. "

"I clench my teeth together to stop from crying out. No one has ever touched me like that. I can't believe how good it feels. " (he was rubbing his fingers together simulating where the pierce would rub.

"Ordinarily I would never let anyone like him touch me. Right now all I want to do is sit in his chair forever. " (typical good girl gone bad and judgmental of one looks. Remember, big scary tattooed guy).

I never had tattoos or intimate piercings. Buy I am almost sure the professional doing it to you would have conversations and technical explanations while rubbing your clit. "A silence falls between us. He keeps moving his fingers, and my entire body buzzes. ..." and the male mc realizes she doesn't need a genital pierce. She only needs the right guy.

Well, in a book like this I never saw that coming. Would you. The male mc would be the savior of the day.
"The Way Eloise is squirming under my touch makes it pretty clear that she doesn't need a piercing to have an orgasm. "
And our lady ask him why. "It didn't take much to make it all wet down here. "

And then he suggests to her that he can get her off right there. She asked what happened to being a professional ( none of them were being) and he said he was doing a favor for an old friend. That's when she finds out they went to middle school together blah blah blah. They have a entire dialogue about school, and life after school and what parents were doing, what they're doing as for work ( his work we already know )and all the time she had her legs spread with his head between them.
Now he wants to take her to dinner and make her come without the pierce first so she could make sure she want one.
How thoughtful, right??
"Yet here I am. In a tattoo parlor with my legs spread, and a heavily tattooed man is trying to get me off. ..."

Then our prime and proper who wants everything perfect and overthinks everything ask him to get her off right there. "Fine, get me off." "Just do it, if you're going to. "

"The piercing was the entire reason I came here. It's the thing that's supposed to make me orgasm. Not to be fingered by some random guy who works in a tattoo parlor. "

He keeps telling her he can't do it right now because she was worked up. Because she was uptight. And she becomes offended. I was LMAO. Is this for real.
Am I to believe an uptight woman who never had an orgasm would spread her legs for a guy in a tattoo parlor and having entire conversation while he had her clit in his finger? But I do believe. Because that's wages authors do. They turn women in this entire stupid being with completely different personality when they find a hot male. Like a female on heat with no self control. That's horrible. Imo, normally, a woman described as our heroine would leave that parlor when she found out the girl who was supposed to pierce her wasn't there. They didn't even had the decency to call her to tell about the appointment change. That's unprofessional. And this woman would not let a man doing it just because he was hot. This is underestimating our intelligence. Nobody changes in a matter of minutes.
Then, after all that's said, done and "touched " she's offended. But still turned on.
"If my body wasn't on fire right now, I'd storm right out of here. I'd run away, offended, and forget today ever happened. But Gabe's fingers still have my clit between them, and there's no way my body will let me go anywhere. "
As if at that point I would believe in her uncomfortableness. After all these dialogue about orgasm, types of piercing, how they would work on her clit, he telling her he could get her of,just now she's uncomfortable? And all of this while her clit was between his fingers?? Did I miss something?

"The longer I sit there and let the whole thing run through my mind, the more and more uncomfortable I get. "
And right after her "uncomfortable thought"( and me not believing her for a second) this proves her wrong.
"Gabe leaves his fingers where they are (in her clit, in case someone forgot), and places his other hand on the very top of my thigh. Maybe he's going to finger me". That's the level of uncomfortable she was. I only imagine if she was relaxed. Lol
And what she does? She starts paying attention to a watermark on his ceiling. And wondering if it was a 2 story building "cause all around there was. He tells her he can't get her off if her eyes weren't on him and she tells him he had a leak. What I found out was from his dishwasher. He lives upstairs. And he tugs on het clit and her head rolls against the chair.

"This is wrong
This is naughty.
But years of desperation wanting to know what the heroines in my books are feeling keeps me where I am. "

And that's where I decided to stop. I didn't even finish the chapter.
I understand it's fiction but I have no tolerance for 180 degrees change of personality in a couple of pages. And always because of a hot man. I'm tired of these women being so easy persuaded into giving into things they'd never did before because a man told you it would make you feel good. Specially if the 1st impression you had of the guy wasn't a safe feeling. Buy he was scary. Yep, she wad also being judgmental. Judging by his tattoos. Nonetheless, she wouldn't put herself in the position of having her legs spread while this guy she never saw before (or didn't remember him) was finger her clit.
This didn't work for me. Not even the chemistry was good. Actually, there was none. Maybe that's why it was so easy to quit. Nothing made me connect to the story. These scenes were not hot. They were awkward. And ridiculous. Give me something to believe in the MCs relationship /connection and maybe I'd kept going. But beside these horrible interactions, there was nothing.

***ARC Provided by the Author***

So, this was fun.

And, it is exactly what you are expecting, but in a good way. I enjoy erotic romance, and this one definitely delivers. The fun, at least in my opinion, of a good erotic romance is that the sex, and the situations, are both hot and vaguely dirty.

Nailed it.

The idea that their first meeting is when Eloise makes an appointment in Gabe's tattoo shop to have her clit pierced. She wants to have orgasms and better sex. Well, she gets her wish...albeit in a slightly different way than she was anticipating.

But, that is the fun of the erotic romance, the meet-cute being a little more sexual than the regular romance. And, this is more toward the romantic side of erotic. I am not even sure the author would call this title "erotic" but rather a 5 in heat level. Either way, it is hot.

I liked Gabe and Eloise. I am not how I felt about the secret that he had, or really the thing he didn't tell her about why he wasn't interested in spending time with her family. I think the issue I had was mainly in the pacing of it, as I thought the resolution came awfully quickly. Yes, there was some new info that he received that could have resulted in him changing his opinion on the situation, but it was too fast for me to totally be able to buy it. I think, and I seem to be saying this a lot lately, that the reveal happened too late in the story for me to fully be able to believe the HEA ending. Will they get there? Yes. Is it going to be right away? No, I think there is more work that needs to be done.

That said, the epilogue and the ending of the book are a year in the future, so it works overall, I think I would have liked to see more of them dealing with it together than we got. If that makes sense.

But, overall, I did enjoy this book and I do recommend it.

ARC exchanged for an honest review

What I love most about Simone is it really makes me appreciate all these authors who aren't extremely well known and how much work and time they put into what they write. How many books are out there that are just waiting to be read but aren't because the author isn't as well known as Sylvia Day or Colleen Hoover. Just my deep thought of the day.

description

Another really good piece of work by Simone. I love the story lines that she creates. It is always something so fun.

We have Eloise, a perfectionist of sorts. Her family is filled with successful people and so she needs to be successful as much as she needs to marry success. She is 27 and has had failed relationship after failed relationship. And by failed, I mean she has never felt sexually satisfied which obviously equals automatic failure. Oh, you can't get me off either, NEXT. She reads this magazine article because obviously we should listen to everything Cosmo says. It basically talked about clitoral piercings and how they help you orgasm. By the way, I really need to research these things because if it is true, sign me the fuck up. Miss Eloise decided to get the piercing and makes an appointment. And as the blurb says...

"When Eloise walks into my tattoo parlor, she thinks she knows what she’s after - a piercing to help take her where no man can.

But I don’t want to help her the way she thinks.
"

description

She meets Gabe. This uber delicious hunk of a man. And things get super hot as Eloise is wide open for him on his chair.

description

Gabe remembers Eloise. The girl from grade school that he undeniably loved. Due to some unfortunate situations, he had to move away and that was that. Until he returned to that same town to open his own shop, his dream. Seeing Eloise again confirms his feelings for her hasn't changed (even after like fifteen years or whatever) but he doesn't want a relationship. He just wants her, her body, for whatever it is. If that makes sense. I would never say no. Never ever ever.

description

This is why I had to settle for four stars instead of five...
The conflict was crap. CRAP. I was expecting some huge blow out for what happened in the past. Maybe an affair or that the actual conflict was not an accident. You're probably reading this rolling your eyes and thinking I have gone crazy. I am just doing my best at not spoiling anything.

description

Even for an ARC, the errors were at a minimum and the writing was great. It is written in both perspectives and you get your HEA. So, if you want a quick and fun read, pick this up. And when you're done, let me know where you went to get your new piercing and if you met a super hot tattoo artist. Just for research. I want to know the chances of this happening, because dreams.

I always look forward to reading a new Simone Sowood book. I’ve enjoyed every single one of them. They are unique, sexy and great books. I always go in blind so I’m not going to say anything about the plot, because I loved why they met and how the story progressed.

Gabe owns a tattoo parlor and he loves tattoos. He knows what he wants and he’s willing to work for it. When he sees Eloise, he wants her, but Eloise is hesitant. He’s determined to make her realize that they could be great together. Gabe loves to spend time with Eloise. He does keep a secret from her that could ruin their relationship.

Eloise is passionate about her work and she loves doing it. She isn’t always happy that she works for her parents, because they can be overbearing sometimes and have some wishes. But she loves the Sunday’s dinners at their places and she loves catching up with her sister. Eloise is insecure about men and isn’t looking for a man at moment, until she meets Gabe. She likes him a lot and can’t stop thinking about him.

I love books about tattoo artists founding their love. This one was no exception, it was sweet, hot, cute and funny.
The bad boy tattooist Gabriel moved back to his hometown, where his childhood love lived. After an unexpected encountered, they start seeing each other more and more, and feelings start to grow until an unexpected new will rock their relationship.

This was really good. I enjoyed reading it.

I've read the blurb and was instantly interested. It looked like it was going to be lot's of fun.

Eloise can't get an orgasm and find in a magazine that a piercing can be a solution, but Gabe the tattoo/piercer thinks differently. He wants to make a bet he can give her an O, but he wants a dinner in return. So let the fun begin.

It was a lot of fun, but not entirely like I expected. I was honestly a bit glad it was a short one.

It had a lot of drama in it even though it was a shortie! But not enough drama to scare you away.
It wasn't able to pull me in completely even though I enjoyed it I didn't fell for the characters.

On my kobo it ended at 33% so now there are other ones or maybe one but I'm not sure if I'm starting them immediately.

It's time to slow things down, Ms. Sowood. This book, and others written by you lately, have been rushed, so much so that the writing suffers. (A reliable editor, one who will catch all the typos and grammatical mistakes, would be a great addition as well.)

It's a shame, too, because those first couple of books released by this author showed such potential. But what I see is the same level of writing those first books produced.

They are good for quickie reads, as long as the reader doesn't expect more than a quickie in a bathroom. I prefer books that take their time. Too much story is blown through so quickly, it's hard to leave a lasting impression.

Good ideas get lost in the need to churn out quantity rather than quality. The sad thing is that untapped potential is still lurking underneath.

I really liked this one. Eloise and Gabe, loved them. This is so good, sexy, and hot, hot, hot.
Eloise is in need of a clitoral piercing so she can have an orgasm. She calls for an appointment at a tattoo business and with a female employee. When she arrives she is met with Gabe, the owner of the business and a former classmate.
Gabe is one hot, intense, sexy, tattooed man that wants Eloise. Eloise doesn't know what an orgasm could be until Gabe shows her. Intense, hot, sexy, mind-blowing, thigh shaking!!!!!!

Eloise has never had an orgasm. Never. Not even one of the self-induced variety. Bummer. When she comes across a magazine article that almost guarantees her an orgasm if she gets a particular piercing, she finds a way to convince herself to get on board. That's what leads her to walk into Gabe's tattoo parlor. But before he gives her what she came for, he's determined to give her what she's really after - the big O.

This was another sweet and steamy read by Simone Sowood. I really liked Gabe and enjoyed how this story seemed to feed off of his pain. He was real and he was a good person. And while I liked Eloise for the most part, my kind feelings towards her had to be earned because I found her to be judgmental, condescending, close-minded and immature at times. In some instances, she appeared to be repressed and reserved, which conflicted with her thoughts, her friends, and her environment. However, I couldn't get enough of the way she finally opened up for Gabe and it was cool to watch these two navigate through their emerging emotions.

Overall Rating ★★★★
Plot ★★★
Humor ★★★★
Characters & Character Development ★★★
Narration ★★★★

Story: This story was good. I was surprised when to realize what this story was about. I mainly started it because it was narrated by Muffy Newtown who I love. It was pretty short but there were some hot parts of this book. Eloise definitely was super uptight in the beginning and it was irritating how she didn't think her parents would approve of Gabe because of his tattoos. I was glad when she got over that. Not having locks on her office door at the clinic was a bit stupid to me. Why not if it's her office. I would have preferred if she'd just forgot to lock the door when her and Gabe were caught in her office.

The end annoyed me a bit because of the way that Eloise doubted who Gabe was because of someone else. Also, when Gabe ended up hurting Eloise later. I was really anxious to know what Gabe's secret pain was and was shocked at the discovery when it came out. Overall this was a pretty good story.

Narration: Joe Arden, Muffy Newtown. I love both of these narrators. It was great!

I really liked this one. Eloise and Gabe, loved them.

This read is hot, sexy, fun and keeps you turning, with a few twists added in.

She decides that is what she wants and calls for an appointment at a tattoo parlour, thinking she will get a female employee. Only on arrival is met with Gabe, the owner of the business and a former classmate.

Wow! What an interesting way to meet. Poor Eloise has never had an orgasm. She sees an article about genital piercings. The more she reads and researches, the more she decides that this is what she needs. She makes an appointment and walks into Incredible Ink to see the hottest guy alive. Shirtless, tattooed and pierced. Wow! Gabe smirks at her checking him out. But he remembers Eloise from grade school. He offers her reassurance to relax her before making an assessment of what kind of piercing that she is suitable for. After touching her and setting her on fire, he decides that is not what she needs to make her orgasm. He offers up his services to blow her mind. Is Eloise willing to take that leap of faith that Gabe can really fulfill his promise? Is it worth the risk? Gabe has a troubled past, and it involves her family. Can they make it work despite the old hurt feelings? If you like bad boy, good girl books, then you will like this. I received an ARC for a voluntary review.

What can I say but HOT!!! There were comical, emotional, and disturbing parts to this story, too but overall, this story made for some steamy reading! And as a pierced woman, I can tell that the author did some actual research on the subject or knows someone who did because it didn’t just come across as a fluff story with a bunch of made up “facts”. It even explained some of the dangers accurately of having someone who isn’t trained, professional, or sanitary. I hope to see more of this couple in a future story! Best of all, I even got two more of her stories to try out in this book!

"It’s the closest to paradise I’ve ever been." - Gabe

Paradise indeed!!! Mmmmm what an inviting, arousing...and just freakin' hot trope for a sexy, panty combusting romantic story. I would venture to say anyone of us connoisseurs of erotic romance has entertained the idea or even ventured forth to acquire a genital piercing. So we find our heroine who has decided that at 27 it was high time she experienced the big "O" and if a genital piercing is what it takes then she swallows her fear, anxieties and sense of modesty to visit a tattoo parlor and get it done. After all, the woman on the other line seemed to understand her predicament and it will be a female doing the deed. She knows that she is missing something because she never felt anything close to what is described in the literature she reads even with her BOB by herself.
Enter our gorgeous tatted up, nipple pierced, beautifully muscled tattoo artist who the minute he heard who was coming to his shop (that he owns), he decided to "fill two needs with one deed". He fired the female employee for reasons discovered further on in the story and because he could not resist seeing even piercing his childhood crush again. Better yet, knowing the reason for her piercing, he wanted a chance at the opportunity to give Eloise, her very first orgasm.
Oh ladies...the gentle professional examination for the piercing Gabe administers to Eloise is breathtaking in is sensuality as Eloise discovers for the first time a man who knows how to touch her. Gabe confirms for himself that it is not really the piercing Eloise needs, it's him, his ardor, his passion and his knowledge of the female anatomy. Eloise who has always been a dutiful daughter living up to her parent's expectations, holds back her obvious attraction and physical need for Gabe because he doesn't seem the proper boyfriend material to present to her parents.
There is an underlying story beyond the childhood crush which deals with weighty subjects and themes. And this fleshes the story out beautifully. The HEA is so much more meaningful and beautiful.
The writing style of Ms. Sowood is readable and it flows from scene to scene nicely. She keeps us interested in her characters with their internal dialogue. The dual POV also holds our interest and in and of itself creates tension. The tension is resolved, dramatically, meaningfully and I daresay again, beautifully.
"It’s the closest to paradise I’ve ever been . I can tell from the way she skims her fingers over me that she feels the same way."- Gabe
What follows next in the narrative is some Hot. HAWT, Hot writing!!! It takes us pretty close to paradise, as well. One click your way to this paradise where a man knows how to touch a woman and the love that blossoms is timeless and healing.

Pierce Me made me feel many emotions!! It was well written and flowed nicely!! I absolutely love Gabe and Eloise!! Their chemistry was hot!!!
Growing up together Gabe has always had a crush on Eloise, but in the seventh grade he disappeared. 15 years later these two meet again at Gabe's Tattoo Shop. Eloise decides she needs a piercing to help out her sex life and finally achieve an orgasm. Gabe ones ups her and tells Eloise he'll help her out.
To Eloise this is just a meaningless hookup, but to Gabe its not. He goes out of his way to make her understand it more than that.
Now we don't live in a fairytale and life happens. Secrets are revealed. People are shocked and hurt. But the two that suffer the most are Gabe and Eloise. Will these two get their HEA??

I have read several of Simone Sowood's books and throughly enjoyed them. Pierce Me did not disappoint. This book is a fast read, but it totally draws you in making you keep reading until the end. Eloise and Gabe went to elementary school together and then he moved away in seventh grade. When we learn why his family moved, you may need a few tissues. Eloise and Gabe reconnect, after she reads a magazine article on genital piercings. She thinks she will never experience an orgasm, if she doesn't have this done. Gabe wants to prove to her that she's just been with the wrong guys. Let the sexy times begin!! The chemistry between these two is off the charts!!! If you are looking for an enjoyable, sexy read, one-click Pierce Me.

Get ready for the ride of your life. If you love a roller coaster ride then you will love this book even more. The author creates the most outstanding work that I have read by her to date. The chemistry between these two characters is totally orgasmic, throw in a bunch of this and that and you have a book that you will want to read in an ice cold shower or even in the rain on a warm summers day.

Major Kudos

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

She has never, and I mean never, had "the big O" at all, ever in her life, and very dissatisfied about that. Eloise is a Physiotherapist, working at her parents medical clinic, and this is the thing she thinks about most. So a magazine in the waiting room catches her eyes. She snatches it and takes it home, it talks about piercings and how this can help. Well, a few hours and some wine later, she is making an appointment at the local tattoo shop (listed in the article as the best place to have this piercing done) before she chickens out. Never did she think that this would be what it would take, and she is a very good girl, super straight laced and everything. This is something she has to do, she owes it to herself to know what all the talk is about, to finally experience it for herself.

He used to live in this town and had to move away. This is part of a dark secret that haunts him. So when this local tattoo artist and owner of a tattoo shop sees the name of the client due in today, he knows this is something meant to be. You see Gabe knows Eloise, or at least knew her from school, at least until the seventh grade. HE will be the only one touching this woman. Why is he acting differently towards her already when it is not like this at all around the other women that have been in his life? Oh Gabe is going to take care of Eloise, for anything and everything.

She walks in, shy and timid, and when the man says she is his next appointment, she freezes. When Eloise called it was a woman she spoke to and was told she would be the one doing the piercing. This man even comes to greet her walking into his shop while putting his shirt on. Eloise takes in the tats and the nipple piercings he wears. She definitely wants to try this, she has been looking into this since reading the article. The funny part about this is she doesn't recognize Gabe. He is all grown up and all man, a very HOT man. Deciding she is not going to be talked out of this, he leads her to the chair/table he will be doing this. Only he is finding out that she isn't really the one with the problem. Gabe poses a "bet" with her. Dinner and him helping her to experience this without a piercing. Eloise is hesitant but finally concedes. Gabe sends her home without the piercing (well at least for now.)

The very next day he has an appointment with none other than HIS Eloise. His shoulder has been bothering him for some time now, and she is going to be his therapist. Banter is limited but there. As Eloise goes through the exam and goes over her exercises to help him with his shoulder, things ignite. Sparks wise that is. Dinner is planned and happens. Some strange but subtle things happen. Part of a secret that holds Gabe prisoner. He doesn't want anything to spoil their date, and things go not so smoothly but happen nicely. The dinner part of this is finished and promises have been made. Moment of all moments take place. Eloise NEVER thought it could happen, Gabe didn't want it to end. However, Eloise keeps hinting this is meaningless or once and done. This does not sit well with Gabe, she is his....period. There is no meaningless, there is no once and no more. This is forever. Funny he never even knew he wanted this to be more than those things either....until now.

Gabe and Eloise head to his place, the place he calls home. Pictures reveal somethings, and Eloise is asking Gabe to come to dinner with her parents. Isn't it funny how secrets you try to hid come lurking from the shadows. He at first refuses but soon realizes that she is everything to him, and he will do anything, including face some of the demons from his past by going to dinner with Eloise. The evening before the dinner is laced with some more of the dark demons in Gabe's past and Eloise is holding no punches, she wants answers. Dinner is stressful to say the least. Then in a moment things explode. Including a big secret that involves Eloise's mom and Gabe leaving her telling her he would not make her choose between him or her family. Before he leaves he shares another secret with Eloise.

A full week happens, and now Eloise who has been cooped up at her parents house, takes a drive ends up by the tattoo place. All of her texts to Gabe have gone unanswered. Now the guy that works with Gabe locks the door and doesn't let her in. She sees Gabe and this guy talking and she is told from the partner that Gabe doesn't want to see her. Eloise is not leaving until she can talk to him. She knows she loves him and wants to be with him. She will do anything. Before this happens however, the day before Gabe is surprised by Eloise's mom barging into his shop and sharing a lot with him. Things he didn't know and up until then was too angry and blamed her for this. Turns out what she says to him plays over and over in his head. Gabe doesn't know how to start the healing process but figures it will be easier to keep the relationship between him and Eloise done with the clean break. He didn't expect Eloise to be so headstrong. She is, and now she is there and he is tired of fighting it. Happy endings ensue for them and all.

There is so much from beginning to end that you can't put this book down.

When Eloise reads an article that getting her clit pierced will guarantee the Big O she decides to book it in before she talks herself out of it. She’s tired of not being satisfied in the bedroom, and if a little pain will end in a lifetime of pleasure, well then it’s worth it. Afterall, she’s always been the good girl, always done what she’s told without any complaint. It never bothered her, but she wants to do this one thing for herself.

However, when she walks into the tattoo parlor, nothing could have prepared her for Gabe. A combination of bad, sexy, and so wrong it’s right.

Gabe can’t believe his luck. Never, in a million years, would he think the young Eloise he had fallen for years back in school, would be standing in his shop wanting her clit pierced. Wanting anything pierced. Moving away from home years ago, he thought he would never see her again. Yet there she stood, as beautiful, and shy, as ever.

Taming Eloise’s nerves, Gabe leads her to his chair to see what kind of piercing she can have, and what follows is probably the gentlest yet erotic perusal of a human anatomy before any kind of piercing. Throughout this somewhat professional yet sensual ministration, Eloise comes to terms with the fact that Gabe has been able to do what no one – even herself – can make her feel with a simple touch.

As Gabe realises that his touch alights his long term crush, he decides that he wants to be the one to give her what she’s been after. Gabe offers a deal – have dinner with him and he’ll show her what she’s been missing out on – with no piercing needed. Only his offer sets her nerves on high, and she decides to not go through with his offer or the piercing.

Eloise struggles as she is obviously attracted to Gabe, but is not the kind of guy she sees taking home to mum and dad. The deal he left on the table is tempting, but she’s not sure how it all fits into her life that she seems to have all organised.

Eventually, through the persistence of Gabe and the advice of Eloise’s hilarious sister, she takes the step and while the relationship starts off fairly superficial – on Eloise’s side, it soon blossoms into something deep and meaningful for the both of them.

There are some underlying issues with Gabe that gets hinted at and is a fairly slow reveal. While the drama within the book is not large in proportion, I was a little disappointed with how Eloise handled herself after the truth was revealed.

The chemistry between the two main characters was palpable, and it was brought in the bedroom with great finesse and lots of heat. Even though they are complete opposites, they seem to fit each other very snugly. She’s the Yin to his Yang, as they say.

While I was interested in both characters as well, I found Eloise a bit too close-minded and occasionally judgmental.

All in all, it was an easy and enjoyable read, but I did find it a bit too simple….maybe I’m just use to reading books with bigger (and sometimes over dramatic) issues. Would still recommend it you wanted a light, easy read with a bit of *zing* to it.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Eloise Hutchinson and Gabriel (Gabe) Irwin. Elosie has always had a problem getting to the big O. So when she reads an article that states that women with this problem have actually found they have them or stronger ones with a genital piercing. Eloise decides that this is the thing for her and makes an appointment. However when she gets there she finds the woman she made the appointment with is no longer there. She doesn't know what to do a part of her wants this but she wasn't looking to get it from a guy. However there is something about Gabe that puts her at ease. When she finds out they have a connection from school she wants to know more. However the more turns into things she never expected. Can she handle it all or will she go back into her shell and hide from the world?

Gabe hasn't been back in Rochester for long. He left when he was in the 7th grade and only opened his shop here a couple of years earlier. So when his school crush walks in the door he can't believe how beautiful she has become. When he learns what she wants he wants to be the man to show her all she can get out of sex. The thought that she will go somewhere else to get it done makes him possessive, the thought that someone else will reap the benefits have him seeing red. However there is something he isn't telling her and wonders if it will be the one thing that will drive them apart before they can even get started. Can he finally have his school boy crush or will the past ensure that they will never have a future?

This is an amazing book not only about finding what you need for yourself. It really shows us sometimes perceptions can be distorted and to make sure you have all the facts before you judge. This couple has many twists and turns that they have to go through. Many of them are extremely hot. There is so much I want to tell you but don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this is an amazing book that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Sexy, sizzling, and oh so satisfying...5++stars!

At 27, Eloise Hutchinson is frustrated over her lack of O. That is, no man has ever given her that elusive Big Bang, Petit Mort, the Big O. The problem is, Eloise is a sweet, good girl who seems to overthink everything she does. It’s no wonder she’s having a hard time achieving the goal to orgasm herself. When she stumbles over a magazine article describing how women’s sex lives improve from genital piercing, Eloise is determined to get one done. And she’s got a tattoo studio picked out.

Gabe Irwin never expected the one woman he’s had a crush on since grade school come strolling into his studio. After all the years, when he moved away, and now back in his home town, would he expect Eloise to remember him. And Gabe is one gorgeous, tattooed walking piece of art. The scene where he’s intimately touching Eloise in preparation for the piercing is way too hot. She’s at the edge of orgasm with Gabe’s expert touch, but he has plans to seduce Eloise, finally making her his. He knows his way around a woman’s body and he’s about to drive Eloise crazy with all the orgasms she can handle.

I just loved this wonderful, well-written story with such endearing, compassionate characters. There is a secret that Gabe holds that might tear them apart, and I was flipping through the pages to find out why his family could have left town all those years. There’s heartache, but there is also humor, emotion and lots of sizzling, sexy goodness.

Pierce Me is pure entertainment delight that you won’t want to miss. It’s a must read. Thank you, Simone for writing an awesome story *and* I learned something new about genital piercings. That’s always a win-win situation in my book.

I received and voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

I have read several of Simone Sowood’s books and each one has been truly amazing. This was truly a sweet story. This story you will find a love that started back when Gabe Irwin was a kid. There will be secrets of the past, hurt, guilt, forgiveness, and love in this book. Oh, and there are a few funny parts as well.

Eloise Hutchinson was a physiotherapist in her parents’ business. She worked so hard to be perfect. She felt like her parents were perfect and wanted to be like them. Eloise does have a few problems like no man or even herself has ever made her orgasm. I almost found her solution funny but it was her solution that led her back to Gabe.

I did not like Marcy which was the nosy receptionist that worked in Eloise’s parents practice. Marcy is mean and heartless and thinks to highly of herself.

I liked Sophie which was Eloise’s sister. She was hugely supportive of Eloise and truly wanted what was best for her. I like Eloise’s parents as well. They truly loved their kids and wants to see them happy.

Gabe was freaking sexy. I tried to picture his tattoos as the author was explaining them. Oh, and those nipple piercings, be still my heart. Gabe is a tattoo artist that owns his own business. I truly found him so sexy.

Gabe had suffered so much hurt and heartache in his life. His relationship with Eloise relies on if he can let go of his past pain. As I was reading Gabe’s story my heart truly broke for him. I could so understand his hurt and pain.

I so enjoy this story and glad I got a chance to read the book. Oh, and if you are wondering if there are any streamy parts. Well let me tell you, Gabe is determined to make Eloise his bad girl and some of that gets pretty streamy.

If you are looking for an erotic romance that is to-the-point and and not too deep, then Pierce Me is exactly that. The way that straight-laced physical therapist Eloise and tattoo artist Gabe meet is definitely one that I've never read before: She goes to his shop to get a genital piercing after reading an article that they help with orgasms. Poor thing has never experienced one.

Gabe almost can't believe it when he sees his pre-teen crush walk into his place of business. Rather than give Eloise the piercing she had an appointment for, he vows to get her there without it. Reluctantly, she agrees, first to dinner and then to some casual fun, and sure enough, Gabe was true to his word!

I thought that Sowood did a great job of getting Eloise's goody-two-shoesness across, but I thought that Gabe came across as a bit of a wuss at times. Like when he got angry and upset that Eloise was only thinking of them as sex buddies. Well, speak up and tell her that you want more! I guess I just didn't feel the instalove that Gabe felt for Eloise. There is an element of suspense, and the twist of the story, the connection between their mothers, was not what I was expecting, so a point to Sowood for keeping me guessing!

Overall, Pierce Me is a what-you-see-is-what-you-get sexy, erotic romance, which is just what I was looking for after back-to-back books filled with nothing but angst! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

One of the things I like best about this author's writing is that it feels so realistic; Eloise and Gabe went to school together until he moved away. Now - years later - he happens to run the tattoo shop that Eloise walks into to get a *ahem* personal piercing. Talk about an awkward situation! I don't know that I'd be brave enough to pierce that area to begin with - but if I walked into the shop and realized an old friend/acquaintance from high school was going to do it? Negative, Ghost Rider!

I'm going to count this as a second chance romance. Gabe had a big crush on Eloise when they were in school together - even if the feelings weren't necessarily returned. Their romance was a whirlwind for sure; one minute she is running from his shop and the next she is taking him to meet her parents? Past hurts come to be revealed at the family gathering and you wonder how this couple will end up staying together. Is it something that these two can get past or will it end up breaking them?

The characters that Simone Sowood writes are all so easy to love and get behind. The pacing of the book was perfect - not too fast, not too slow - and the only reason you will want to put this book down is because you need to sleep. If you haven't had the pleasure of reading one of her books - you should fix that asap. Such a good author - she manages to pull the reader in immediately and keep our attention through every page turn.

I LOVE this author. I just discovered her.
This is my second book I've read by her and I've loved both stories.
At the end there is a preview for another book that she wrote, I believe its Carnal, and I've already added it to my TBR because it sounds soooo good.

This book definitely made me want to go get myself pierced. ;) I've actually heard what was written in here about it many times before. As well as the guy's one too - I think that would be amazing to have my own then have a guy with his - I'm only dreaming here, but I imagine it would feel GREEEEEAT

So I kinda get why he blamed her mom, but then again I really don't. It was never discussed what kind of doctor her mom is. I assume since she does physical therapy and they share the same office, her parents are also doing physical therapy. So I don't understand how she would've been able to figure out the issue when she was coming in for back pain. But Idk how doctors work so it could be true, she could've known ... but I still loved everything about this.

I thought there would be more other woman drama or well I hoped there would be. Either with Kaylee or Marcy - I was totally getting pumped for some drama like Kaylee showing up and doing something out of revenge or spite or SOMETHING but other than the stuff in the office with Marcy, you don't get any thing else.

Definitely recommend though! It's a cute contemporary romance - the sex scenes are good too :D
