Rock star Malcolm Strong is used to being in control. Of the band. Of his feelings. Of the woman he has tied to his bed. He never gets close enough to get hurt. He never wants to.

Until Lacey. The sassy brunette is working on the band's latest music video. Which means he shouldn't be picturing her naked. He doesn't mix business and pleasure, but there's something about her quick wit and her soft curves -

Mal has to have her.

Lacey Waltz is dreaming. That's the only explanation for a six foot three, inked up, rock star s*x god offering to be her fling. And not just any rock star. Mal. The guy with the piercing blue eyes and the breathy, tortured voice. The guy who's poster hung on her dorm room wall for three years straight. The guy she thinks about every night when she... ahem.

Friends with benefits sounds perfect. The last thing Lacey needs is more heartbreak. But how is she supposed to be casual with the man she's been fantasizing about for the last four years?

Tie me up, tie me down rockstar romance!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙🖤💚💖
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍🌎
Character development: 😟🤭😤😘🥰

The heroine: Lacey - She has had a huge crush on Malcolm Strong for years and now she is working on one of the Dangerous Noise music videos. She is the assistant to the director of the video and one day she wants to be a director. So, no matter how much she adores Mal, his body and his body of work, she plans to be a professional on this job.

The Hero: Mal - he is the lead singer for the band Dangerous Noise, a “beautiful six-foot-three, musclebound, inked up rock star sex god”. He loves to be in control, whether it is in his band or in the bedroom. He likes BDSM though he doesn’t want a complicated relationship and has no intention of falling in love like his brother and other band mates. Sex is the only intimacy he has ever wanted with a woman.

The Story: When Mal shows up for the video shoot and the actress playing his love interest is late, Lacey has to act as stand in while her boss sets up the shoot. Mal and Lacey end up rolling around a bed for a while, and both of them are really into the scenes and have a ton more chemistry than Mal and the actress once she makes it to the set. Later, after everyone else leaves, Lacey shows Mal the footage and suggests he go a different way with the video than what the director is thinking. Mal hires Lacey to put some footage together so he can see how her vision looks.

The one thing I don’t really like about this book is the fact that Mal is so used to women falling for him and breaking their hearts because he isn’t able to love them back, that he knows that if he just tells Lacey he wants to be with her she will be willing. He is too confident for my liking even though he probably has a reason to be. He thinks he can’t fall in love so he isn’t afraid at all that he might be the one that gets hurt in a relationship even though he knows how much he wants her. I guess I just don’t like that inequality. Though I have to admit, it sure does make it good when Mal starts to have feelings for Lacey.

This is my first book by miss Crystal Kaswell. The blurp promising a rom com. But it turns out a drama romamce with light BDSM. At the end i end up liking this book OK.

I was expecting more angst, more darker theme with BDSM. But i found the story is standard. Insta lust, insta love. The sex scenes is a lot. So much sex. Some of it does not support the character development nor the story development.

Overall its is an OK read.

Malcolm 'Mal' Strong is the lead singer of Dangerous Noise, he is the older brother, the de-facto boss, sexy as hell & is unwilling to fall in love. He has been hurt enough to last a life time & will not let any woman near his heart. Lacey Waltz is a wanna be rock video director who is currently the assistant to one of LA's hottest rock video directors. She often fantasizes of Mal while she takes care of her needs. When Mal shows up to film a rock video, Lacey is both starstruck & trying her damnest to not fangirl all over him. When the main model for the video doesn't show up on time, Lacey's boss has her stand in to get some of the camera angels & lighting dialed in. After all of the taping happens, Lacey shows Mal that the director's vision for the video isn't keeping with the band's image or the theme of the song. When Lacey's explains her vision & how she would edit the video, Mal jumps at the chance to have her do the work. As they work together, the attraction between them is impossible to walk away from. Mal wants Lacey so much he suggests they become f*ck buddies while explaining that it is all he is ever going to be able to offer. As they explore each other's desires, their entanglement becomes more than either of them bargained for. When a family issue become Mal's main focus, it is easier to push Lacey away than to admit he has feelings for her. Will Mal be able to let Lacey go? Will Lacey walk away & accept that it is over? Will Mal every be able to admit that he loves Lacey?

This fourth installment of the Dangerous Noise series ROCKS. The story is about two people who come together with their tatter pasts dictating who they are presently. Mal is afraid to let himself get close to anyone because of the abandonment issues he has from his parents. Lacey self-doubts herself because her long term boyfriend was never interested in having sex with her. As the two start to share their short comes with one another they begin to build a bond that draws them closer. It takes a serious tragedy in Mal's life for him to finally see what has been in front of him his whole adult life. This book is meant for mature readers.

Mal Mets Lacey at a video shoot for the latest Dangerous Noise video and he is immediately attracted to her and wants her. He also recognizes how talented she is and asks her to cut the video instead of her boss and to film the next video his band releases. They spend more time together and enter into a no strings attached sexual arrangement despite Lacey being fresh out of a relationship and Mal determined never to fall in love. Mal’s mom becomes ill and Lacey is there for him but when she tells him that she’s fallen for him he pushes her away despite his feelings for her.
I liked both Mal and Lacey and I thought that they made a good couple.Lacey understood Mal needing to take care of everyone around him and also saw that he rarely let others be there for him. She was there even after he broke her heart but she knew he needed to decide for himself that he wanted to be with her

This book was excellent, I loved it. This is the story of Mal and Lacey. This story is quite emotional and takes you on quite a rollercoaster ride.
Mal is the lead singer of Dangerous Noise. He has been hurt in his life and refuses to fall in love.
Lacey is an assistant to a music video director. It is her dream to direct on day herself. Mal and Lacey meet when she is asked to fill in for a model that was a no show. Things heat up for the two during a make out session for the video. Mal knows he should steer clear of her but he feels connected to her.
While working on the video Lacey is not happy with the direction the director is taking the video and she brings her concerns to Mal. The two start working closely together on the video and the chemistry between them is is intense. They agree to a friends with benefits affair for two months. Mal assures Lacey this is all he can offer her. As their relationship progresses feelings deepen and intensify. Will the two be able to overcome their insecurities and demons to realize that they are perfect for one another?
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Even though this is the only book that I have read in the series I was not lost at all. I voluntarily read an arc copy for my honest review!

There are good characters in the book. I'm not sure I understand Mal's parents motivation to leaving their kids when Mal turned 18. It seems like Mal should not care for them as much as he does. Lacey does some questionable "stealing" from the workplace that earned a star off from me. I skimmed through too many sex scenes and I still liked reading about the "group". Good read.

**Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book.**

A brooding rock star finds a woman who lets in the light...

Malcom isn't looking for a relationship. He has everything he needs and a complicated love life isn't one of those things. But when he finds himself at a video shoot, rolling around in bed with a woman who responds to his touch as if he's the oxygen she breathes, he can't help but want to fill her lungs. And any place else she desires...

When Lacey showed up for work today, she expected to see Mal. She just never predicted that her boss would ask her to stand in for a tardy actress. Getting to touch her favorite rock star is a dream come true but after one taste, Lacey craves more of him.

Luckily for her, Mal isn't one to pass up something he wants and he's set his sights on her. But their fling comes with stipulations. It's short term, casual, and over the moment either of them start to bring feelings into the equation. And like every good romance story, where there are sparks, there is fire. Soon our couple are in over their heads and faced with the reality that their feelings just might win this time.

This is the fourth book of the series and the second one that I've read. I jumped into the series with the third book, Joel's story, so I'm still figuring out the band's dynamic. Malcom is the bossy leader who is used to getting his way. When he meets Lacey, however, he learns that giving up some of the control can be just as pleasurable.

There is a whole lot of sexy time in this book. It skirted the line of being too much and did start to get slightly repetitive but I never skipped a scene. There is a slight BDSM element here but it isn't as strong as it might seem. If anything, there is more talk about bondage than it is actually put into practice. So if you aren't a fan of this theme, it is rather mild compared to most other books I've read that contain it.

As for the characters, I was easily able to connect with both Malcom and Lacey. I found Malcom to be the strong, silent type most of the time but he eventually does open up to his woman and share a softer side. His interactions with his family are where his character really shined, in my opinion.

Lacey was focused on her career yet had a definite vulnerable side when it came to intimacy. It was easy to see how her past relationship had left her struggling with insecurities. Both characters had layers of emotional scarring and self-doubt to work through.

My only real critique is that this story was pretty predictable. I knew where we were headed about halfway through. Yes, there were some small twists but anytime a pact is made to "keep it casual" it always seems to follow the same formula and this was no exception. There is also a bit of repetitiveness throughout the story. Lacey likes the word "ahem" and thinks of it quite a bit. I understand it was a character trait but that got a little annoying.

In closing...
This is the last book of the series so I wonder what this author will bring to us next. Four suns!

This is a spin-off of Crystal’s other rock star series, Sinful Serenade. Even though, the Sinful guys do make appearances in this series too, it’s not necessary to read their stories too. Each of the four main books in this series are standalones. However, the entire series involve all the members of the Dangerous Noise band and thus, you’ll meet most of the characters in each book even as secondary characters. So, while it’s not necessary to read all the books, I’d recommend it to avoid spoilers and in order to connect with them all.

description

Throughout the Dangerous Noise books, we’ve heard about Mal. He’s portrayed as an indifferent commitment-phobe with a fondness for BDSM. I wasn’t actually looking forward to his story because he just didn’t seem that interesting to me, but that just shows how wrong I was in making such a rushed and uninformed opinion.

Mal is the lead singer of Dangerous Noise and the older brother to both Ethan and Piper. He’s the last of band members to find love, but he’s not interested in anything but fuck buddies. While wanting to keep his female relationships simple, he fights a loosing battle to keep his family tight. Between their parents traveling and Piper and Ethan moving in with their partners, Mal is pretty much left alone. He does what he can to put up a strong front. He doesn’t want anyone’s pity so he won’t let anyone see that he’s actually hurting.

Lacey is an opportunist so when she’s asked to fill in for a tardy actress while filming a Dangerous Noise music video, she goes for it. When Mal wants a “friends with benefit” relationship with her, she goes for it. In short, she embraces the chances she gets in life. Personally, I didn’t really click with Lacey until but the way she was there was incredible, and that made me go from tolerating her to loving her.

I think that what I enjoyed the most in this book is that while there was some angst and sadness, it was legit. It wasn’t due to someone making up their own truth in their head, it wasn’t due to someone being weak it was due to life.

The plot is very straight forward, and ticks off all the boxes needed for these kinds of books:
 Boy meets girl
 instant attraction
 They get to know each other
 But oh no, complications arise and misunderstandings/secrets are blown out of proportion
 Someone is sorry
 HEA

So, don’t get your hopes up – this is not a new spin on that.

This book took Crystal’s writing to new heights!

Dangerous Fling is one hot "rocker" read. Ir's also a story about the reluctance of falling in love, and family & forgiveness. This is is the 4th book in the Dangerous Noise series, and the second in of Crystal Kaswell's that I've read. Obviously she captured my attention and created an interest in the men who play in Dangerous Noise. Told in alternating points of view, this story focuses on Dangerous Noises' front man and lead singer Malcome "Mal" Strong and video editor Lacey Waltz and the scorching chemistry between them.

Mal is the ever reluctant love interest as he's never even entertained the idea of falling in love. The aversion stems from his fear of abandonment, and rightly so. The more we get to know him, the more it makes sense. Lacey had been in a relationship where she felt very loved, but not desired. Self doubt does not stop her from taking a risk on an exclusive friends with benefits relationship with Mal, in fact it's a perfect sort of therapy for her. This story is heavy on Mal and Lacey exploring this side of their connection, all while discovering that their response to each other runs deep and offers a sense of fulfillment neither have ever experienced in any of their relationships.

Kaswells' characters have back stories that enrich and drive the plot forward at a good pace. The secondary characters, the band mates that we have come to know through their own stories, have a lot of influence on both Mal and Laney. If you enjoy reading stories about Rock stars and light BDSM, you'll definitely find this enjoyable. 4.5 Stars.

****I was provided with an ARC in exchange for an honest review****

Ohh where do I start, I just loved this book so much! I've been intrigued by Mal since the beginning of the Dangerous Noise series and I was so excited to finally have the opportunity to get inside his head! In previous books, Mal was portrayed as a stoic commitment phobe with a penchant for kink in the bedroom but as I suspected, there was much more to him than what he seemed! The chemistry between Mal and Lacey was smoking hot right from the start, and the sex scenes were intense and steamy which is definitely an area where this author never fails to disappoint! But while this book definitely contained heat, there was also a certain level of angst as each layer of Mal was revealed. I related to him so much and felt his pain, loneliness, and sadness. My heart absolutely broke for him, but Lacey was exactly what he needed, just as he was exactly what she needed. Together they were perfect in their imperfections, they healed one another, and I enjoyed every minute of reading their story unfold even during the hard times. This book was bittersweet, with focus on family, personal growth, healing, and finally learning how to let yourself be loved!

Rock star.

Man I hate to say it but it's the same issue I have with all the books in this series. Dare I say.... There's too much sex. It takes away from the story. Besides that detail iv really enjoyed all the books in this series. I was a little concerned about Mal's story because of the extra kink but it was actually pretty light and wasn't over done. And bother characters worked out well together. Poor Mal just wanted to be loved. As far as I'm concerned his parents are terrible and I couldn't bring myself to be upset about the end. What I did want to know that was what was up with Carrie? It was brought up about not texting or calling back after learning the truth about Mal, then a few chapters later they were talking again. Wanted to know a little more about that. I did like though that things with Adam ended on a good note. And I also liked the involvement with all the other characters. They make a great family. Can't wait to read the encore.

Dangerous Fling by Crystal Kaswell

*This book was reviewed for Summer's Eve Reads*

Title: Dangerous Fling
Author: Crystal Kaswell
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Rating: 4/5

Dangerous fling is part of the Dangerous Noise series and this book in particular focuses on the bands frontman Mal, it’s a story about a hot rock star who’s reluctant to the idea of falling in love well that’s until Lacey walks into his life, together they share a chemistry neither can deny.

Crystal certainly knows how to add drama into her storylines and she most definitely knows how to up the heat factor, this book was HOT, HOT, HOT... It’s an emotional read to so keep a box of tissues at the ready.

This is a great series that just keeps getting better and better, if you like hot brooding rock stars then this one’s a must. Check out the men of Dangerous Noise, you won’t be disappointed.

DNF... OMG OMG OMG. I can't even with these characters. The dialogue was atrocious and the story wasn't that great.

So Lacey is an assistant director on a music video set where she meets Malcolm, her fantasy rock star crush. She becomes the stand-in for the model/actress in the video & there is hot chemistry between Mal & her. Then the actual model shows up for the shoot but there is no spark between them filming. So Mal asks Lacey to edit the video with the shots of her & him in the vision she sees for the video. So here's a huge problem since this is beyond unrealistic. In show business there are contracts with whoever you're working with. So that fact that he goes behind the director's back, Lacey's boss, and asks an inexperienced no-name to edit the video. And she agrees! Hello! Breach of contract and law suit from the director for poaching! None of this is even brought up as a concern other than she'll just be fired. FACEPALM

Then the whole issue as to why Lacey broke up with a sweet guy named Adam after 4 years together is fucking absurd!!!! All because he wasn't really into sex as much as she wanted & he had issues getting it up. Don't you think you owe him the courtesy, after 4 fucking years, to have a heart to heart with him about this issue?! Or give him the chance to try & work on it?! What if it's a medical thing? You just up & fucking leave him out of nowhere?! No hints to him that there were issues, just blind sided him with you up & leaving after 4 years! Then just 2 weeks after this ridiculous break up with a super sweet guy, she fucks Malcolm. W T F! No. Just no. She's an asshole.

I RECEIVED THIS BOOK AS AN ARC FOR AN HONEST REVIEW
OMG I love Mal .... hes just awesome! What can I say, Mal is the one who tends to everyone, he puts Ethan and Piper first, he was left at 18 by his parents to look after them so they could live their dreams and all he dreams of is been a family. Hes a lone wolf, all the other members of the band are paired off and hes happy to have a girl in every city .... until he meets Lacey. It starts in the studio where hes filming his newest video for the band and Lacey is asked to stand in for the late model who is meant to be doing the shoot. Both feel the heat between them and he convinces Lacey to edit the video and boy does she know her job! Mal is so hot in these books where we see a new side to him from the others .... I would love a spanking off him any day!! They decide to be fb's but as usual not everything goes to plan no matter how many times you believe it will. Mal loves his family and band more than anything ... his mum becomes ill and returns home with his dad ... will it be happy ever after ... has he found his one .... my emotions where all over .... omg read it and find out .. loved this book!! Cant wait for the last one and hope Crystal writes about the other band mentioned because her bad boys are every girls dreams!

The Dangerous Noise series is creeping ever closer to concluding with this immensely appealing romance that's a bit predictable but still compelling because of its strong characters. The sparks definitely fly in this tale of older brother Mal's unexpected connection to a bubbly video director who start out as friends but quickly morph into more. Readers quickly get immersed into the emotional baggage both of them carry and though there are frustrations along the way, by the end there's plenty of cheering.

Malcolm Strong is the sexy singer of Dangerous Noise, strong-willed, and the controlling force in the band. He likes managing things and doesn't care if he's disliked because of his decisions. There's actually not much he truly cares about as childhood abandonment issues overshadow his life and leave him closed off from forming commitments. While he's close to his siblings, acting almost like a father, when it comes to the opposite sex all he wants are the "benefits". Meeting Lacey though changes everything as he genuinely starts to like her, to enjoy spending time with her, and as she starts bringing joy to his life that's been feeling increasingly lonely. Not wanting to put his heart on the line has him pushing her away when he needs support the most, when a family crisis takes him to the breaking point. Will this moment finally make him realize the healing power of love or will he always live in fear and on his own? Mal's a truly delicious hero who's always been there for his siblings. He cares for them, wants to see them happy, but is sad that they're living their own lives now and no longer need him. Where does that leave him? It's a question he asks that nearly broke my heart. He's never been able to count on his parents which has contributed to his need for control and to always assuming that he's not worth staying around for. His interactions with Lacey depict these deep-seated emotions as their interludes are bdsm-lite along with his habit of pushing her away when feelings become too strong as well as reminding her of the time limit they've put on their relationship. Mal may think he's incapable of love but his wholeheartedly caring for his siblings, and his desire to help strengthen Lacey's bruised self-esteem, show a kind and loving man with a heart bigger than even he realizes. In so many ways he's the quintessential boyfriend in and out of the bedroom, and despite him frustratingly pushing Lacey away, I still found myself drooling over him as will other readers.

Lacey's a breath of fresh air to Mal's self-imposed unhappiness. She's always been drawn to him as a fan, but meeting him in the flesh has her seeing the truth of the man behind the image. While getting close to his bruised heart will be difficult, he's more than happy to give her access to his body. He also gives her her dream job of directing the band's next video which gives them ample opportunities to connect but also puts a time limit on that connection that he frequently reminds her of. Lacey's got issues of her own though that come out during her time with Mal, issues that had me aching for her as it's something many women can relate to. Feeling undesirable and judged by others for your desires recently had Lacey ending a long-term relationship that she still feels guilty over. She feels a bit dirty too and frustrated for too long living an unfulfilled life out of fear of being alone. Being with Mal brings all her desires to the forefront as he encourages and accepts all her naughty needs. In turn she tries to get him to open up, to put his heart on the line one more time, in a hard-fought journey that's a bit frustrating at times but always worthwhile. Through it all Lacey's an immensely appealing heroine who wears her heart on her sleeve. She's a force to be reckoned with, funny and flirty, who tries not to fall in love with Mal but clearly does so one slow step at a time.

Mal and Lacey have a combustible connection from the moment they meet on a video shoot. She sees the true meaning of what lies behind his lyrics and longs to see more of what he keeps hidden in his heart. He's drawn to her truthfulness and her infectious joy in everything he's taken for granted for too long. They're great friends with witty and flirty banter and as lovers they're combustible with numerous interactions that are erotically-charged. There's actually LOTS of eroticism in this book, from scenes that lightly touch on bdsm to dirty talk that Mal's a master of. Though there's lots of these moments there's also time spent on heartfelt talks, a baring of the souls to varying degrees, that had me rooting for them as a couple. Surrounding these two strong-willed characters was an equally likable cast of secondary characters. I loved getting reacquainted with the other members of Dangerous Noise and seeing them happy after reading their own difficult journeys to HEA. They're an eclectic and outspoken group of family and friends and reminds readers how loved Mal is despite how alone he feels. This was another satisfying installment in a series set amongst the chaotic and sensual world of music which Ms. Kaswell has become a master at depicting. Though this tale is slightly predictable I still found it endearing for its strong yet bruised hero and a heroine easy to relate to. I'm sad the series is coming to an end but am enjoying each step in these character's hard-fought journeys to HEA!

DNF 30%

Usually I have a problem DNF-ing a book, i.e., even if I can tell I am going to want to violently stab the book with a dull spoon, I keep going. But, unfortunately, it's been a struggle to get even this far.

There have been a few problems here and there. For example, as another reviewer mentioned, the issue of the original director's contract is completely unrealistic. A director with the amount of experience/prestige that the original director presumably had would have had some language in her contract to dictate final cut (whether she got it, or the studio did), and there is no way that a studio would be okay with the h taking that over, let alone without a contract.

But, I think my main problems have been that (a) the first 30% has been incredibly boring because (b) instead of writing the h to be a genuinely interesting character, the other characters have just been dumbed down to make the h look great in comparison. I'm not particularly interested in that kind of storytelling. No, I'm sorry, but I don't believe that the H has never met another women who understood one of his songs without him having to explain it. No, I don't believe the woman he had a friends-with-benefits situation with genuinely believes she loves him solely because he goes down on her at the beginning of each sex session and makes sure she orgasms. And no, I don't believe that someone who has slept with as many people as he supposedly has has not met a single woman who told him "I'm sorry, I can't make that date/time because I have work/some other, previously-arranged commitment." I'm not entirely sure why authors employ this method. It doesn't endear me to the main character. In reality, not only does it annoy me that females are still being so poorly misrepresented, but it also takes away from the romance of the story. I think it's much more romantic to think that, out of all of the wonderful people out there for a particular person, that person chose you. Instead, this type of storytelling implies all females are dumb, you're just the least dumb, so I guess I'll go with you. Not particularly romantic, in my book. Moreover, the h, thus far, is not a person I am particularly rooting for. Although I haven't gotten particularly far, my main impression of the h is that she is a short-sighted, unprofessional woman who thinks nothing of backstabbing an employer who, according to h's account thus far, has treated the h reasonably well. But I guess that I am supposed to root for her because she can manage to hold a conversation with the H inbetween giving him sex eyes and apparently all other women are even more mediocre? Umm...no, sorry, at this point, I'm thinking the single life sounds amazing.

Maybe I'll skim through the rest of the book later, at some point -- I really can be too curious for my own good sometimes. But suffice it to say, that day is not this day.

Dangerous Fling by Crystal Kaswell is Book 4 of the Dangerous Noise series and a Rock Star Romance

Assistant and director wannabe Lacey Waltz fills in for the model who's running late to film a sexy scene with the beautiful Malcolm Strong. Even though it's all pretend, it feels real to Lacey. Mal is is the lead singer and frontman of the famous band Dangerous Noise. Mal feels a chemistry with the gorgeous assistant that he doesn't feel with the model. When Lacey shows Mal the video footage and makes some suggestions, Mal offers to pay her 3 months rent to edit the footage so that it tells a story. Mal likes the funny, smart and adorable Lacey and can't stop thinking about her. After Lacey shows Mal a proof of concept made from the video footage, he hires her to direct his music videos. When Mal and Lacey decide to become friends with benefits, Mal spells out the rules ... the second either one of them wants to walk or develops feelings it ends. But the more time Lacey spends with Mal, the more she falls in love with him, until she knows she can't keep doing it. Fear of being hurt made Mal push Lacey away and there's a gaping hole inside of him now that Lacey's no longer there. Mal comes up with an idea to fix things but will it be enough?

Dangerous Fling is funny, angsty and steamy. Crystal Kaswell paired an entertaining story with lovable characters for a book that I read in one go. I highly recommend this book.

Crystal your series is just getting better & better. We're catching up with the 'Dangerous Noise' men. So here it's Malcolm Strong's story & oh how I love Mal this controlling strong man well from the outside due to having to being up his younger siblings guitarist Ethan & younger Sister Piper, whilst their parents go around the world doing their research. Do he had this inner demon really where he's scared to fall in love & someone else break his heart.
Then it until the music director's assistant Lacey steps in as his love interest & this steamy hot scene shouts out 'oh yes please' 😊 but whilst she's playing with editing what's been captured for Dangerous Noise's latest music video as she sees her boss Danielle isn't getting what the story is saying or what Mal wants to get out of the video.
Lacey I feel is a sensitive lady who is also crying out for the proper loving sexual relationship which she never got from her ex Adam, poor lady being with a man who yes she does love though I feel it was both as a brother & being accustomed to it. So we see how these 2 come together not just in doing this first video but the next one they'd be doing & their 'no strings attached relationship' until the end of her contract. Oh heck if you've loved Crystal's previous HOT stories you'll love this one & god it is so, so HOT, but it's also another emotional piece & not just for Mal but the whole Strong Family, so heads up you'll feel the emotion & you may need tissues on hand & not just for your eyes 😢😜

Star Rating - ****.5

The last man standing Dangerous Noise singer Mal strong is the enigma of the band, the quiet stoic singer with a poker face he's overprotective of his family and fellow band members, needing to be in control but his dominant facade is hiding a softer centre that's becoming more exposed with each of his siblings finding happiness. Fearing abandonment, Mal doesn't do relationships he does F@ck buddies, women who know the score and submit to his dominant nature, he doesn't need anything else.

Standing in for the actress starring in Dangerous Noises brand new video whilst they block lighting was supposed to be just that little did assistant filmmaker Lacey realise that it would be the sparking of her own Film production company. If only she can keep her hands off the lead singer of the band, but with a sexy Alpha it's hard to keep your hands to yourself.

Malcolm Strong is the ultimate, a sexy lead singer and I could imagine him with his sexy moan, his vocals filling my ears with music swaggering across the stage. The interactions between Mal and Lacey had me on the edge of the seat a will they won't they as they negotiated a working relationship that was separate to the obvious sexual one that would come waiting for the tension to break. I've loved reading this series from book one I have enjoyed the drama and plot that Crystal Kaswell brings in her books hooked into the story with likeable characters. A brilliant cumulation to a wonderful series 4.5 stars.

This might be my favorite Dangerous Noise book. The emotion the love the fear the tears were so realistic and so easy to feel and understand. I never really pictured Mal like this but at the same time part of me knew he had to be. Lacey is just perfect, she's sweet she's funny she fits right in with everyone and she's the perfect ying to Mals yang. I don't know how Crystal Kaswell does it but she manages to make each character completely their own person yet have all the books feel like one giant story. It's nothing short of amazing how such different people all feel different yet together. I've been reading these books since the first sinful serenade and a part of me wondered how many Rockstars can you write about until it feels like you are just recycling characters, so each book I'm waiting to be the last because eventually they have to be the same. Luckily they aren't and at this point I don't think she'll ever run out of Rockstars. I love these guys I love these girls and I love these books. Each one is better than the last, every couple is my favorite couple (I mean they are all absolutely perfect for each other), I really can not pick a favorite and I can not wait for more! I hope she writes about a new band next (maybe Wicked Beat I'd love to know more about Logan) fingers crossed she never stops delivering swoon worthy sexy rockstars nobody writes them like crystal Kaswell. For now I'm sticking with Dangerous Noise is my favorite, until next time anyway xP

A wonderful ending to the series!

What I loved the most about this series was that each character had its own distinct personality. And that uniqueness was maintained throughout, as they each made appearances in each others' books.

But I was SO happy to finally read Mal's story! He was truly the dark, brooding rock star, and he knew it! That's what intrigued me. He KNEW this was how the fans saw him and yet he also knew this wasn't who he truly was and was holding out for someone to see the real "him."

Enter Lacey. Her initial "introduction" to Mal was SMOKING HOT!!! I loved the lasting impression they made on each other as well as their lighthearted banter.

True to form, Crystal touched on a pretty heavy situation in the Strong family, but the darkness surrounding it only made the lighter parts shine so much more.

In my opinion, there may have been a few too many love scenes. Or, at the very least, one or two that were not timed well in relation to what was going on simultaneously (in other words, I don't think I, personally, would be in the mood to "do it" in the midst of a certain somber scenario).

But, I felt Mal was VERY well-written...truly a front man/rock star if ever I read one, and I look forward to many more rock star romances from Crystal!

‘Dangerous Fling’ by Crystal Kaswell is a great rocker book that will have you engrossed from start to end. As ever the with any romance read about a musician and a lead singer no less they are bound to be a brooding bad boy that is hesitant to fall in love but this was written really well and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 4 stars from me.

Mal is lead singer of Dangerous Noise and while filming the video for his latest song he meets Lacey. As a budding director but in this case the directors assistant she finds herself in front of Mal and then when Mal is unhappy with the music video she explains what she envisaged for the shoot and Mal is quick to jump and have her film her version.

There is without doubt chemistry between the two and when that gets to boiling point Mal suggests that they become friends with benefits for a short period but best laid plans and all that, of course feelings get tangled up and it is hard to voice those feelings.

I really enjoyed this book and the characters within but really who doesn’t fall for the lead singer sex god, it’s inevitable. Lacey has to work through her own self doubts just as much as Mal does before they can give in to each other. This was a great addition to the series.

Completely captivated

I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book for my honest review.
This was my first time reading a story written by Crystal Kaswell. Also I haven’t read any of the other books in the series before this one so I thought I would be lost. I was lost but not because I didn’t read the other books in the series before I read this one. I was lost in the story that Crystal created about Mal and Lacey. I was reading the story and right from the beginning Mal’s character sucked me in. He made me want an HEA for him. I knew he wanted it too by what he said when he met Lacey and then started comparing the model to what he felt with Lacey. I knew that he was exactly what Lacey needed after her torturous relationship with Adam. They both needed someone to care for them and they got that from each other. Oh don’t get me wrong this is not a walk in the sunset on the beach and fall into a happily ever after. Mal is just too complicated for that! Look you won’t be disappointed in this book. You are going to love it. It definitely has a lot of sexy heat. It has angst and some twists and turns. You will laugh, cry, sigh, and shout as you read this story. It has some light BDSM so be mindful of that if that is trigger for you. I am definitely going to read the other books in this series and the other books by Crystal Kaswell. I recommend this book.

I read an ARC of this book for an honest review--and, honestly, I will read ANYTHING Crystal Kaswell writes. Dangerous Fling is her best book to date!

I loved this book, and I loved Mal and Lacey. The storyline was excellent--perfect for the characters--and we got to see all that love and passion that Mal tried to contain in the other books. We also got to see his heartbreak, and so many things were explained.

Lacey had uncertainties and heartbreak of her own, and Mal was the perfect guy to help her through it. Even though he hurt her, because of his single-mindedness, he redeemed himself and gave them both what they needed and deserved.

Mal was a much more complex character than I expected--a little like Tom in Crystal's Sinful Serenade series--and I LOVED getting to know him. I'd developed an affection for him in the other books, and I was anxious for his book. Reading Dangerous Fling, the wait was worth it!

I've loved Crystal's other characters: Tom and Pete from Sinful Serenade, and Kit from Dangerous Noise. But Mal is just something absolutely special, and I couldn't love him more.

This is the first book I have read by Krystal Kaswell an certainly will not be the last. Dangerous Fling is the fourth book in the Dangerous Noise Series, but can be read as a stand alone. As I stated this is the first book I have read by her and I did not feel like I was missing out on the story because I have not read the other books.
Lacey is assistant to a very well know producer. She loves her job most of the time that is until Malcolm Strong walks on the set for his newest video. While waiting on the women that is suppose to be in the video Lacey steps in. The is how it all starts. Lacey has always followed Malcolm's career. She is in love with the celebrity that Malcolm is, not necessarily the person himself.
Malcolm has been a famous rock star for so long. He can have any women he wants anytime he wants. When he meets Lacey she stirs something in him. He knows he wants to spend more time with her.
I loved the chemistry between the two of them. Krystal kept the pace of the story just enough to keep you want to keep reading. I would recommend this book and look forward to reading more from her.- Linda

Dangerous Fling is my favorite book (and the fourth) in Crystal Kaswell’s Dangerous Noise series. There is just something about Malcolm (Mal) Strong that is incredibly hard to resist. He’s sexy, serious, broody, sensitive and an amazing older brother. I can see why Lacey fell hard and fast for him.

They met while taping a video for his band Dangerous Noise. They had amazing chemistry and Lacey impressed Mal when she went out on a limb and gave him unsolicited advance on the artistic direction of the video. He hires her, and they start a working relationship that soon turns passionate and threatened to light my kindle on fire.

Lacey is young, but she is strong and sure of herself – even in the face of Mal’s intimidating wealth and success. She is focused on her career and doesn’t let her developing feelings for the rock star steer her off course. Mal respects her and admires her, and he is supportive of her aspirations. They make a strong team, and I was cheering for them the entire journey. This is a sexy love story, and Dangerous Fling is a great rockstar romance.

ARC provided, but this review was voluntarily and honestly written.

Sigh- having read all of the books in the Dangerous Noise collection- I have to say this book was an excellent way to bring it all together, even if it did make me frustrated and sad! I have been a Mal fan for awhile, and was ready for his story! Holy crap! What a story this was! The emotional rollercoaster is more like it! When Mal meets Lacey at a video shoot he sees she is smart and knows she understand what kind of vision he would like to portray- plus getting in her pants is high on his agenda- convincing her to take over the video isn't as hard as he imagined- getting in her pants- the spark between them is electrifying whenever they are near each other. As long as it is an FWB relationship should be all good right?
These two have no idea what they are in for.
I am going to say this again. Probably the best way to end this series, the heartache, the Romance, the hotness, the drama with a heart huggable ending. Crystal Kaswell has done it again; she has created another Rockstar masterpiece! I love her work and cannot wait for whatever she has in store for us next!
