In dangerous times, the world needs heroes, and there are none better than Liam, Hope, Jason and Felix, the latest recruits to the Alphas, a mysterious organisation with only one mission: to save the world from those who would seek to destroy it. These four teenagers have extraordinary abilities that some would call superpowers, and with the help of the Alphas are seeking revenge on the Alphas' mortal enemies, the Betas, who destroyed their town. The Betas' evil, and extremely dangerous leader Atrox has other plans, however. He seeks to bring back the Rider, the only being the Alphas have ever feared and the most dangerous man in the Universe, to cause destruction on a global scale. As time runs out, Liam, Hope, Jason and Felix, along with teenage time traveller Matt Revelation and Alpha outcast Valerie Hunter, must save the world even as it falls to pieces around them.
