Super sexy and sweet novella. I always ADORE Cade's heroes. Strong, sexy but also sensitive. If you enjoy small town romances with heart, I highly recommend.

What an incredibly awesome novelette (roughly 53 pages) that will get you hooked into the world Cora Cade is stealthily building. Tapped is an offshoot of Cade’s A Day Of Pleasure series and I must say, her writing just gets better and better. What I loved most about this short book was the ability Cade had to not only give us an entire world, but create characters that were well rounded, real and incredibly entertaining.

Georgia is the type of heroine I adore. Ballsy but sweet. She’s the type of woman who has self confidence in spades. This aspect is even better because she’s not your typical romance book heroine. She’s a size 16, not going to take anything from anyone, woman. It’s such a breath of fresh air to find a genuinely well wrote, incredible heroine who doesn’t fit in the industry mold. I loved her wit and just wished I could have had more of it. She constantly had me chuckling at her quick tongue, especially when put into situations with Will’s ex, or his *gulp* mother, after only having just met the man.

As a hero, Will is what dreams are made of. He was sheer perfection wrapped up in a smoking hot package. Who wouldn’t want a guy who could be sweet and endearing one minute and then pulling your hair and pounding into you the next moment? The sex scenes were very well done, believable and enough to set my kindle on fire. Will knew from the moment they met that Georgia was special, a keeper. I enjoyed watching him convince her to give their connection a chance.

The cast of supporting characters are lush and well fleshed out. While many of them are from Cade’s previous series, new readers will have no issues getting into the groove and latching on to them as I’ve done from the start. The sense of camaraderie and protection within the tight group of friends is deeply felt and I enjoyed the glimpse into their lives again, even if only in small amounts through Georgia’s eyes. I can’t wait to see where the series goes because I definitely need a few of these characters to get their own book, The single father sheriff? Yes. Will’s geeky brother? YES.

These 50 some pages felt like an entire book in the most wonderful way. Cade fits in so much in those pages that even with the length you feel like you’re part of the town, part of that family. I cannot wait to get more from this world and from this author! Entertaining, sexy and full of heart, Tapped is definitely a winner!

I give Tapped by Cora Cade 5 stars!

ARC received in exchange for an honest review :)

I did not expect to love this short novella as much as I did :) it was soooo much fun :) and of course now I am in love with the writing style of this author and have to check her other books... ;) even though the action takes place over less than two days, there's plenty of time to fall in love not only with the main couple, but with some secondary characters as well ;) full review on the day of the release :)

edited to add my full review :)

I had the pleasure of reading an ARC of this novella and I have one thing to tell you... I am hooked on the writing style of the lovely Cora :) I am amazed people, how such a short story made me fall in love not only with the main couple but with a few secondary characters as well :) since this is a novella my review will be a bit shorter than usual as well, because I don't want to spoil you all the little details... ;) gotta leave a few surprises ;)

So let me tell you a bit more about the people we meet in this story :) Georgia is house-sitting for her brother in this lovely little town, which works for her, since she's after not-so-good break up... one night she decides that a one-night-stand is just what she needs... ;) and that's when she meets Will... ;) she catches his eye in the bar, and the more he gets to know her, the more he likes her... ;) and the more he wants from her... :) that is basically all I can tell you about the plot, because the events of the whole story take place in less than two days... not counting the cutest epilogue at the end of course ;) and even though their story is short, I enjoyed it immensly :) it's fun and sexy and you finish it before you even know what is happening ;) I loved both of them, and I'm certainly hoping they will appear in a scene here and there in her other books because... ;)

About those secondary characters people... :) like I mentioned earlier I am surprised how just a scene here and there made me fall in love with quite a few of them so much, so the next news is absolutely fantastic... :) some of those characters already HAVE a story, and some of them WILL in the future... :) *squeels with excitement* I already can't wait to read those stories :) I don't want to name them, so you can have as wonderful surprise as I had, but there are more than one or two people... :) and I have a feeling that those cross-over appearances are gonna happen in those other books as well :) and I couldn't be more happy about it :)

Like I said, it's a shorter review :) but only because the story was the same :) don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved it... ;) the writing style, the fun characters, all those little connections and interactions... :) if you don't know this author yet, definitely give her a try, and this story might just be a perfect start :) short and fun it will absolutely brighten your day :)

I scored an Advance Release Copy of Cora Cade's TAPPED by sheer luck. It was exactly what I needed. A sweet and sexy smokin' fast read that let me slip away from reality for a while. As a novella, it moves quickly, but the strong (and sometimes quirky) characters made every second count. It's a light but crazy sexy read. Perfect for some hot down time.

This might be an unpopular opinion comparing to the five star reviews this has got but then this might solely be my preference and nothing else.

This was pretty quick (no pun intended). The story is basically about Georgia trying to forget her cheat ex by landing a one night stand but Will might be more than that. Now, I would’ve liked it if it wasn’t so short. I mean, there isn’t a setting that I would indulge myself in before caring about the characters or much about the characters themselves. The ex is a cheat and Georgia recently caught him with someone but it’s kinda too fast when she decides to be done with him and look for someone to sleep with. Maybe it’s just my viewpoint but this sounds too unrealistic and annoying to me.

Then the rest of the book is focused on sex or thoughts of sex. Basically Georgia is taking this forget-my-ex thing sportingly but she came across a bit weird. NO, I DO NOT MEAN SHE ACTED LIKE A SLUT OR THAT WANTING SEX WAS A BAD MOVE. What I mean is her repetitive self-pity about her body--she even gets surprised when Will hits on her because ‘why would anybody like her for her body’. WHY? This was extra weird since she wants to get laid that night but keeps wondering why anybody would do that. I don't mean insecure female characters in books are a bad thing or that no one in real life is insecure. Almost everyone is, yes! But this was frustrating because her personality kept fluctuating and I couldn't grow up to like her that much because she didn't stick by a single side of thoughts. Anyway, like I’ve already mentioned, this might be my personal viewpoint so I do understand how others might not agree with me...and others should understand the same.

The writing put me off this book so badly. Thank god it was a short novella, or I would have not finished it.

I don't get all these 5 stars reviews, i'm wondering if me and those people have read the same book ?

Synopsis: Georgia had a messy breakup with her ex. Since her brother is taking his son on a road trip for the summer, she agrees to look after his home as a change of scenery and pace. She just wants to have a nice one night stand to help her forget the cheater. Instead, she meets Will.
Will is completely intrigued by the woman who doesn't attempt to look like anyone else. He's tired of shallow relationships and wants to start something serious. With Georgia. He just has to convince her that they are for real.

What I liked: that Georgia wasn't a typical size, and that her confidence wasn't the "I'm really confident" as she can't believe that anyone would ever love her because of her body. I liked that Georgia went after what she wanted, and wasn't shy about standing up for herself, or about talking with men. Will liked Georgia for who she was and how she looked, and didn't compare her unfavourably to anyone else. This was set in the same world as several of the author's other books, but I never felt as though I was missing anything in that regards.

What I didn't like: although I didn't feel left behind meeting other characters with a back story that had obviously been covered in other books, I would have liked a lot more story. Basically, Georgia and Will hook up, she meets his family the next day, the end. Well, there was quite a lot of sex, too, or thinking about sex if they weren't having any. It was also kind of hard to remember that Georgia had just caught her ex in bed with another woman, so I was frustrated by her reticence with getting in to something permanent with Will.

Overall impression: if the author writes anything longer, I would be interested to read it, just because I thought the characters were interesting and had good stories to tell.

Review

description

I’ve never had the pleasure of reading this author before, but given the blurb, it definitely sounded like a book that I wanted to give a try. So give it a try I did and here we are.

This is a read that’s on the shorter side, but one that doesn’t stop moving. It features something that while very real, often times isn’t seen a lot in fiction. At least not in any of the books I’ve been reading as of late. A heroine that wasn’t model level thin. One with curves and a heart to match, but also one that could give as good as she could get. A quirky woman that didn’t waste time weaseling herself into my good graces. Will’s too based on the story I read. I LOVED that aspect of this story. I really liked Georgia. She came across pretty damn cool.

Enter Will. Another anomaly really. He wasn’t a bad guy. He wasn’t a jerk or an ego driven manwhore. He was just a hard working guy determined to settle down. He’s over the flings and the one night stands and he wants a woman he can settle and have a real connection with. He was sweet. He seemed to care and overall, he was definitely a hero I could get behind.

I enjoyed these two together. I think they played very well off each other even if some of the situations they found themselves in were a little out of this world. (Georgia got more than she bargained for in her plan with that mom I tell ya lol) But with the shortness of the story, I did feel as though there was a lot missing. That it moved a little too quickly for my liking (and not in the insta love way). I would have loved more with them to connect with them as a couple more. That was missing for me here. I enjoyed them individually and even felt they were cute together at times, but the pace, well it didn’t lend well to a deeper connection.

The humor was great. There were some awkward situations that made for some funny times and overall this was just a feel good novella. So if you’re into that kind of book, one with minimal drama that reads very quickly, I think you’ll really enjoy this.

Apart from the pacing (this was a novella after all), the writing was great. I had no issues following along, I didn’t feel lost or there was no point at which I felt information was there that didn’t need to be. It was so fluid that my only real complaint is that I wanted more. More time with this couple, more depth with them. I really did want to see them grow into their relationship. The one born of the silliest idea ever, but that just worked for both of them.

I’m interested in seeing where the author plans to take this series next. What characters that appeared in this one will be next and whether we’ll see more of Georgia and Will throughout.

My thanks to the author and all others involved in letting me read this before official release.

Isn’t that cover gorgeous? It let me know right away that I could expect a sassy, confident heroine, and boy did this book deliver! This is my first book by Cora Cade, and it’s an off-shoot of a previous series of hers. While it did feel, sometimes, that random characters were being name-dropped, I was able to read and enjoy it without any prior knowledge.

Georgia is so much fun. She’s a curvy size 16 with self-described “great tits,” and if you can’t tell from that, lots of self-confidence, though it’s been battered a bit by an ex-boyfriend. She hilarious and pretty quick on her feet, especially when dealing with Will’s rude ex, who tries to derail their first meeting at a bar. Will is simply a perfect book boyfriend – sweet, stable, loves his family – plus he has a dog. I’m not sure why, but I immediately like a book guy more whenever he has a dog! As usual, there has to be some sort of thing that forces them apart – in this case, it’s that Georgia was only looking for a one-night stand, and isn’t interested in a summer fling, let alone a relationship. Will, on the other hand, is completely smitten with the smart, sexy and confident Georgia and bargains with her to get a second date. Luckily, this happens before his mom shows up unexpectedly at his house… while they’re getting it on!

Will held her hand for a moment, looking into her eyes. “Hey, no pressure here. I’ll make that fire, we can order a pizza or something if you want. Nothing more.”
His handsome face held a hint of nervousness. There, in the wrinkled forehead and mouth turned down in the corners. So adorable.
“Here I thought I followed you home for some hot sex. But pizza is good too.”

If anything, my main issue with this is that it’s so short. I really wish there was more, because the relationship did feel rushed, but I knew this was a novella going in.

Overall, this is a short, steamy, and fun read! Recommended for fans looking for a sexy plus-sized heroine!

The story has twist & turns, laughs, and heartbreak.

This is Georgia and Will‘s story. After catching her man cheating she goes to visit her brother. Georgia is out for a one-night stand which she thinks she might find at the Drunken Duck pub. When she meets Will she thinks she still needs to look for her one-night guy but Will is determined to have her and keep her for more than one night. After the cheating her man did can she really believe that Will wants her for more than one night? Can Will get her to believe?

I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

Tapped is short and sexy. Georgia is looking for a hot one night man. She doesn't count on meeting Will, who turns into so much more than just one night.

I loved Georgia and Will together. He's sweet and hot, and not the usual womanizing playboy in romance as of late. Georgia is feisty and sassy and Will makes her feel beautiful. Put them together, in his small town, and with his awesome family, and Tapped ended up being pure romance gold. It's not super deep or epic, but it is witty and sexy and sweet. Perfect for a short escape from all the dreary weather outside right now.

So Fun sexy and easy. Fast quick novella right to the point but you get what you need! I love Georgia she isn’t your stereotypical size 0 however that’s what made me love her she’s beautiful. You can see it , feel it and so can Will and I want Will! Everyone needs a Will! My only wish was this was longer! But that’s the curse of the novella .

I’m gonna keep my review short because the book was super short. Toooo short! This novella was such a writing POWERHOUSE that I’m at a loss. I want MORE MORE MORE 💗💗 Both characters are incredibly endearing, sexy and charming. I felt a little slighted that it was over so darn quickly. I would have devoured an entire book devoted to these two. If you’re new to this author, like me, definitely read Tapped! I was highly entertained at Georgia’s boldness, sexiness and loved that she owned herself. I love a bad ass confident chick and a swoon worthy man that can tame her. Definitely a must read 😍

This is such a fun little story. Ms. Cade introduces her characters quickly and although there isn't in depth characterization, I felt for them and wanted everything to work out. Very quick and fun little novella. I liked that her heroine in this one was a bigger lady and not a svelte supermodel. And the guy liked her right away! :)

Warning: explicit sex scenes.

Sexy Erotic Contemporary Novella. Looking for a quick and very very very sexy read? Here you go!
Look. No. Further.
This is also a very Romantic Read!
I love how Will introduces Georgia to his ex-girlfriend the first night they meet. "...This is Georgia. She's a school teacher from Chicago and quite possibly the love of my life."
Boom. I love you Will. A man who's not afraid to speak his mind or go after what he wants. "No complaints here." He smiled and that lone dimple appeared. "Georgia, this unrepentant ***hole is Tori Hicks. She's a local as well." Will is an alpha through and through. He also works with his hands(in more ways that one) and is the contractor doing repairs on her brother's house.
Georgia Burke was only looking for a one night stand! She's just gotten out of a relationship with a best friend f****** cheating ****munch. She's also house sitting for her brother 15 hours away from home, perfect opportunity for a little anonymity. *grins wickedly... Only Georgia has seemingly forgotten that nothing stays secret in a small town.
I absolutely adored this angst free super sexy read. Gobbled it up in one quick sitting. High marks on the heat index and hit me in the funny bone as well. All in all, a perfect read for this Bookhooker.

Fun, fast novella that kept me laughing from beginning till the end. I loved Georgia and Will these characters kept me entertained from the beginning till the end. There was so much to love about this book the only thing that I can say is that I totally wished there was more to this story. This story definitely left me wanting more than a novella. This short story was more than I thought it would be.
This book will grab your attention and hold it till the very end. There are so many good points to this book the writing, the characters it was so good that there was no space to be disappointed with it. Georgie was a kick butt characters that really made me love the story and Will was such a sweet alpha I loved it. This story was everything and if you’re in the mood for a good book that’s not to long but with just enough heat and depth to keep you interested. Ms. Cora did a great job with this story and I can’t wait for more.

If you’re looking for a quick, fun and sexy read for the summer, or anytime really, this is the one for you!

Georgia and Will were really fun characters that had me chuckling as they got to know each other. Georgia is full of moxie. She’s sassy, comfortable in her own skin and not afraid to go after what she wants. Will is sweet, sexy and has a bit of a sneaky streak that makes him that much more attractive and swoon worthy. Things do move fast between them , this is a novella after all, but it’s done in such a way that it’s believable. It starts out simply as two people physically attracted to each other then find that after spending a little time together, which includes dealing a bitchy ex and nosy family members that, there may just be a little more to their attraction other than the physical.

This was my first read by Ms. Cade and it really was a fun and engaging read. It drew me in and by the end I wanted to know more about the town of Fox Lake and the characters that inhabit it, especially Will’s brother Jack, so I’m looking forward to what Ms. Cade has in store for us next!

Quick. Sexy. Sweet. Safe. Easy. Fun. Those are the six words to perfectly describe this book. Cora Cade is brand new to me but that won't be for long...

Tapped was the absolute perfect afternoon summer read to heat me up, captivate me, and leave me with nothing but smiles. Cade delivers a fantastic novella that will make you believe in love at first sight and that life gives us exactly what we need when we need it.

It was only gonna be one night for her to rebound after her loser ex and get her groove bank.. but too bad for her, the one that finds her, wants to keep her.... forever.

I'm telling you, simply great. These two were so everything. Georgia was all sass yet vulnerable in many ways. And Will, swoon! Why can't the world be full of these kinds of guys? And together they were addicting, magnetic and I didn't want to let them go when their story was over.

Go grab this book... you won't regret it.

I definitely recommend this book.

Tapped was an easy quick read. Georgia went to her brother's house to house sit for the summer. She wanted to get away from the city where she found her boyfriend at the time having sex with her best friend. She needed to get away and wanted a one night stand. Enter Will, he is a hot, sweet, contractor in the small town, where everyone knows everyone. He is tired of one night stands, or just seeing women with no depth. But one look at Georgia and he's hooked. He doesn't want a one night stand with her even though that is her goal for the night. He wants to show her that there is more to their attraction and pull with each other.

This is a cute, sweet story. Will and Georgia have the HOTS for each other. Will's family is just so welcoming and funny. I would definitely recommend to others. Looking forward to reading about the other characters introduced in this book. Thanks for the enjoyable read.

This was a fun and sexy quick read! Georgia Burke wants to have a one-night stand. One night to lose herself and forget the image of her ex-boyfriend and friend on their bed. The hot guy at the bar fits the bill. Sexy and hot, she can see herself lose herself to him for one-night. What she did not expect? Will Calder to take one look at her and not want to let go!

Will Calder is done with quick flings and woman who do not want more. He is ready for the real deal. The sexy woman at the bar captures his attention and then some. But all she wants is one night. But after their one night, he knows he wants more. A whole lot of more.

It was so much fun watching the push and pull between Georgia and Will. Their chemistry was strong right from the start. This is insta-everything, but it works so well with this story. I loved it.

Happy reading!

Tapped was my first read from Cora Cade and definitely won’t be the last! It’s a fun, gorgeous, and sizzling novella, quick to read but so very satisfying! Cora Cade manages to create not only endearing and lovable main characters, but a world complete with well-rounded side characters that I wanted to stay in! There are plenty of laughs, as well as touching moments that brought me to tears, sometimes all within the same page! And did I mention the steam factor? The characters spark from the moment they meet, and when they get together it’s hot! I’ve become a Cora Cade stalker and can’t wait for more!

I am not sure if it is just me or what? I have truly found that (knock on wood) all novellas that I have read so far in my reading book history ...they are usually the best, you get a great read, all jammed packed into a quick wild crazy ride of a book. No matter the subject ...they are usually some of the best books or pieces of work that the author will ever do!! I will be reading more from Cora after reading the book, such a fan now. Great read. A quick, fun and flirty read!
Tapped is a short novella that gets straight to the point in its small town romance.
Georgia is cute, fun and quirky and whilst hoping for a one night stand comes across the sweet and sexy Will who gives her way more than she bargained for.
A very fast paced romance but it fits in well with the characters and the story.

This is my first read by Cora Cade and I really enjoyed it! I loved the characters, they were very realistic. I also appreciated both characters talking about consent; something I find very lacking in many current romances. Quick pace, nice writing, and very sexy sex scenes! I'll be looking for more from this author.
