Love that this is now available as a box set! Both books are incredible and you will not be able to stop yourself from falling in love with the Weston men!

Side A
Wow. This book was so good that I'm not sure I can even accurately express how I'm feeling right now. It had everything - love, sadness, drama, hope, tragedy, humor, mystery, swoons, and of course, steam. I was sucked right into the story from the start and only put this book down when I absolutely had to. Even still, I burned through it and am now experiencing a serious book hangover.

The story revolves around incredibly sweet and all around good guy Noah, his brooding and mysterious bad boy brother, Sawyer, and Amelia (Mel), the woman both brothers want as their own. Some readers may have issues with love triangles, but this one for me, really worked. I liked that all 3 main characters aren't perfect and have their own demons and baggage to deal with. Noah probably came the closest to saint hood with all his swoony moments and philanthropic heart, but it didn't feel contrived and only made him more adorable. I hurt for Sawyer and everything in his past that's tormenting him, and savored the gentle and vulnerable moments where he showed his true self. I felt just as torn and confused as Mel, sorting through the emotions and wrestling with the pain and fear of ever driving these 2 brothers apart. I can't say for certain who I'm shipping at this point, since I think both guys have qualities and traits that I think Mel needs. If I really had to choose though after only reading this book, then I would say Team Noah. :)

I found the secondary characters in this book just as fun and amazing. Belle was a little too bubbly at times, but it's what makes her friendship with Mel work. They balance each other and they both stand by and support each other above all else. Throw hilarious Anna into the mix and that's definitely squad goals. I loved the entire Weston family (especially little Saylor) and of course, the other members of BAD, Wyatt and Darren. Everyone genuinely cares for each other and I loved how absolutely normal the family was despite the fame and success of the boys. There were perfect moments of comic relief (oh, Rhymin' Rieanne I could have read a whole chapter about you!) and just enough drama and angst to keep the reader guessing.

This is the first book I have read from D. Kelly, but I thought her writing was perfect. She wrote some seriously swoony moments and the song Just an Illusion had my heart breaking. The snippets from the present, weaving together with the past, left me wanting more and hello, that ending (even though I knew it was coming) just killed me in the best way. This book was just what I was looking for and I cannot wait for the next book! Is it 2017 yet?!

The B Side
Hang on to your hats ladies and gents! This is one emotional ride!

Just an Illusion - The B Side is the second book in the Illusion trilogy, so please keep this in mind when you sit down to devour this book! You should definitely read Just an Illusion - Side A first (because it's awesome!) and because The B Side picks up where Side A left off.

This book is heavy on the feels and at times you will be riding the highs, but oh, there are some truly heavy lows too. Prepare yourself for the swoons (#TeamWeston for the win!), steam (still fanning myself here), and some heartache too (Noooooooooo!). I really loved the mix of playfulness and lighthearted banter (LOVE the Weston and BAD family) and the angst and mystery. There are some truly epic surprises in this one too! Forgive my vague wording/review, but trust me when I say that you want to experience these moments from D. Kelly on your own.

I could not put this book down and finished it in one sitting (Yes, adulting was ignored and children *may* have eaten cereal for dinner, but they understood that this book could not be ignored! Hahahahaha!) The B Side was a slower burn for me, really fleshing out the characters and what drives/motivates them. You get to know all the characters better and get to meet some sweet new additions as well. The wait until June for the final book feels torturous and bittersweet, but I know it will be worth it! Don't miss this amazing love story!

FLOVED. This was an incredible start to a captivating rock star romance series. I've been on a rock star romance bingeathon the last few weeks and I've read lots of the bestselling, most-popular series', and I've got to say this series is my ABSOLUTE FAVE. If you like angsty, swoony romance set within the backdrop of a traditional rock star scene, then I think you will ADORE this series.

I love, love, love Noah, and Mel is a great MC. The other guys in the band are equally intriguing as are all the secondary characters. This satisfied my angst-loving drama-loving heart to the max. I knew it was moving toward a key traumatic moment and it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through reading - I kept thinking when is it going to happen and what exactly is going to happen? I'm about to find out.

Favorite Quotes:

Being kissed by Sawyer made me believe in the devil. There’s no way someone can make me feel that good and turn me on that fast without being completely damning to my soul. I’ve never felt like that before, and I’m sure I’ll never feel it again.

You’re worried about losing me, but I’m worried about losing you. When you’re not

I’m leaning toward the mindset that stories should stay in the vault—the one between friends and acquaintances who witnessed them happening in real time. Some things don’t need to be rehashed and reshared. Good memories will live on in our hearts, and the bad ones can burn in hell where they belong.

Tell that to the Weston powerhouse sperm. I’m only the delivery method, they’re the ones who work their way to the final destination… we’re not having babies for years. Our sex life is way too phenomenal to give up on it this early. We need to practice for a long, long time.

Damn it, Mel, don’t you know men aren’t supposed to cry before happy hour? We don’t have any liquor to blame the tears on.

It means I can teach him to play guitar, and baseball, and how to treat women right, all like my dad taught us. And I can read stories to him and search for monsters and have mud fights.

My Review:

Shortly after I began reading Side A, I knew with startling certainty that this series was going to turn me inside out. This was my first foray into D. Kelly’s work and I found her writing to be sharp and finely honed on all emotional levels, lushly descriptive, and masterfully woven into an intriguing, intricately detailed, and carefully erected tale that kept me entertained, engrossed, and deeply entrenched. Despite both books ending with vile cliffhangers, I am eager to continue the characters’ story.

The timeline flows back and forth as Amelia, the narrator, delves through her memories and relives events from two to three years prior, when her life radically changed upon meeting and start her work with a successful rock band. The storyline was well-balanced and full of feels that alternated between emotive, amusing, sensual, and highly intriguing scenarios. I was captivated and fascinated by the entire ensemble of characters, and although I am anxious to unravel all the mysteries and absorb the rest of the tale, I strongly suspect I am going to enjoy the journey just as much as the satisfaction of knowing the outcome. I am compelled to know every little thing about these indelible and fascinating characters and have completely lost my heart to the precious Noah. D. Kelly has mad skills and has me on tenterhooks and anxious to devour the next installment.

Holy smokes I don't know what I was expecting when I jumped into the Illusion series but I don't think what I got was it. Can you say intense? How about tragic? It was both of these things and so much more.

Amelia (aka Mel) has had a life and then some. This girl is guarded- with very good reason. She has her best friend, Belle, who pushes her out of her comfort zone but other than that is is pretty much a loner. But when the chance of a lifetime falls into her lap she knows she has to throw her fears aside and go for it. Enter the men that make up Bad and Dangerous.

At the forefront are brothers, Noah and Sawyer. These two are so different but also the best of friends. I loved the dynamic of their relationship- it was true to how brothers are- slightly competitive, teasing but full of love. But there is a tension between them that can only be chalked up the Mel's appearance in their lives...The relationship she has with each of the brothers is so different and they both bring out a side to her that makes her shine.

There was something about Mel that just drew Noah to her. He couldn't stay away. He fell hard and fast and as much as she tried to fight it, Amelia did too. These two together were what dream relationships are made of. They communicated well, opened up their minds and hearts to each other. And the anticipation was SO worth the wait...

But the good always has to be balanced. Geez I didn't see that twist coming at the end of Side A coming at all. My heart was absolutely racing and I was speed reading to find out what would happen next. Thankfully, all the unknowns were brought to light rather quickly.

I love the way this was written. You could feel the nerves and the trepidation and the love with every word Mel poured onto the paper. So much happened in this book for Mel and Noah but also the rest of BAD. No one was untouched by what unfolded. I really liked the sense of family and how Mel felt like she had one again. And despite her reservations and fears she embraced what was coming to her with her arms and heart wide open.

I liked that even though Side B is just as much about the past, that as things came to the present day, I still had no clue who was forcing Mel's hand (though I have a big hunch). But hold onto your hats (and hearts) because the way this one ended left me wide eyed, shaking my head, rubbing my chest and speechless. Yes, there's your mini spoiler alert...D. Kelly still has more of Mel's story to tell. I can't wait to see what life, fate- whatever you want to call it- has in store for her next.

HOLY SHIT. THIS BOOK SERIES IS SO GOOD!!! I literally can’t even tell you how amazing this was. Each book makes you feel a different emotion. As I started, I was thinking that this is truly a story of a woman who falls in love. No crazy dramatic scenes that would actually never happen, it was pretty realistic. The first book made me happy, the second book I LITERALLY cried the WHOLE way through (like for 2 hours straight) and the third book I felt like I truly understood grief, loss and the journey to rebuilding yourself. This will forever be one of my favorite books that changed my outlook and perspective on life.

Finished these two books in less than 48 hours. Easy to get hooked and I already bought #3 in the series. Very anxious to find out what happens and also to read from Sawyers point of view in book #4.

Reminded me of Carnage. Rock star story with the possibility of a love triangle. And a drama with crazy fans, crazy pasts, and serious ups and downs. Ends on a hell of a cliffhanger

I love reading. I love getting lost in a story. Each night I come home and the second my dogs are walked and fed, we all curl up on the couch – they with their balls and chew toys, me with my ipad.

But it’s rare that a book comes along that engrosses me so thoroughly that I want to live in the pages of the story. Just An Illusion: Side A and B were two of those books for me. I was actually frustrated. I wanted to bring my ipad to work and sneak off to the bathroom with it, so no one would catch me reading on the clock. But I knew if I did that, I’d finish the book faster and I didn’t want my time with the characters to end.

These characters are completely lovable, the writing style enjoyable and the story entertaining.

When best-selling author Amelia Greyson is dragged to a Bastards and Dangerous concert by her bestie, Belle, she’s less than thrilled. She doesn’t care for their music and frankly, she’s kind of over the whole music scene. After meeting, the boys of BAD invite her on the road with them so that she can write their story, and Amelia finds she might not be so “over” the music scene after all.

OK, the boys of BAD? I’ve been reading a lot of rock star romances lately – not all by choice. Of all the stories I read, these guys seem to be the most true-to-life and likable. At the center of the group are fraternal twin brothers, Noah and Sawyer. Though they may look similar, they are polar opposites. Sawyer is troubled and brooding. Noah is sweet and charming. Both of them have their eye on Amelia.

Noah is every girl’s dream come true. He’s sweet, attentive, funny, just the right amount of jealous and a MUSICIAN. And….HOT. I spent much of this book thinking, “Mel, don’t look at Sawyer! Just look at Noah! He’s the perfect man!” But Sawyer’s got that tortured soul. The broken bad boy with the heart of gold that every girl wants to heal. In another novel, he might be the hero I would choose! So, I suppose I understand Mel’s conundrum. I also just feel the choice is clear. (Psst. The choice isn’t clear. Some girls will say Noah. Some will say Sawyer.) Noah is perfection.

But the real star of the show is Amelia. I love her voice. She had me from the opening lines: “Stories are meant to be told. I firmly believe that, or I wouldn’t have pursued a career in writing. And yet, some stories should never be told for a variety of reasons. My story – OUR story – is on the cusp of both of those beliefs.”

Mel is intelligent and loving and not afraid to put a man in his place (I’m looking at you Sawyer). But she’s got a few walls up to protect her from past heartbreaks. She is fully aware of this flaw though and I love that about her. Her friendship with Belle feels not unlike mine with my bestie.

One of the things I like best about Kelly's trilogy is the relationships between the characters that AREN'T romantic (though those are GREAT. Everyone in the book is constantly telling Noah and Mel how adorable they are and it's true), but the familial and platonic ones as well! The boys in the band are as close as family and in the second book we get even more of a glimpse into what their dynamic is like. They are loyal to each other like family, even when it's hard. And the love the brothers have for each other – even when things are complicated – will hit you right in the feels.

In Just An Illusion, D. Kelly mixes the right amount of heat with just the right amount of humor into the story – mostly provided by the interaction between the four BAD members. One scene that involved a pack of condoms, Thanksgiving dinner, and Sawyer and Noah’s mom had me giggling like a school girl!

Unlike the boys of Bastards and Dangerous, Just an Illusion is not half BAD. (See what I did there?)

If you’re looking for a fun and sexy read, it's just the ticket, but be warned! There is one helluva cliffhanger at the end. So don’t pick this up if you don’t want to be waiting with bated breath until EP is released in June!

Just An Illusion Side A

5+++ star rock romance read. Hopefully that got people’s attention because I don’t want anyone who loves rock romance to miss out on this fantastic book. You will definitely end up with a book hangover after reading this sexy and suspenseful rock romance.

Amelia Greyson is a bestselling author with some big secrets of her past that she tries to keep buried. These secrets are getting harder to contain especially when she is the person chosen to write the tell all book on the biggest rock band around which means she will be going on tour with Bastards and Dangerous (BAD) for the next year. The Weston brothers of Noah and Sawyer head up this band of friends and even though they are twins they could not be any more different. Noah is the sweet one with a heart of gold that any girl would be more than lucky to be with and then there is Sawyer who is more of the bad boy that exudes sex. Both brothers want Amelia but how will this work when the three of them are living on a tour bus together for the next year. The Weston brothers let a woman come between them before and they can’t let it happen again because it almost tore the band and their family apart. What will happen when Amelia’s true identity is found out especially when they learn that she is the result of rock royalty at its finest?

Sawyer is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders from something he witnessed as a kid and this has been playing a big part of what makes Sawyer tick. Is Amelia going to be the one person who can break through everything that is making Sawyer self-destructive? That’s going to be a little tough because Noah has made his intentions regarding Amelia pretty clear and he definitely wants to have Amelia as his.

There is so much going on with these three along with a great storyline for the rest of the guys from the band and Amelia’s friend, rock magazine writer, Belle. This book has pulled me in so deep that you can’t put it down and with that said I am going to have a really hard time waiting for Side B to come out but believe me it will be the first book I grab to read when it’s available. This is my first time reading D. Kelly’s work and I am more than impressed with the way she tells a story. She gave me just enough in the middle of this book to set me trying to guess what the hell is going on only to get to the end which left me with my mouth hanging open only to then have so many words that came flying out of my mouth it wasn’t fit for anyone else to hear! Lol I can tell this book will occupy my mind for a while which for me is a tell mark for a great book. There are so many things that I HAVE to know and can’t wait to see how this will all play out. I can only hope that there are going to be many more books in this series because M. Kelly gave us plenty of people that need their stories told too.

Just An Illusion Side B

Whew!! I feel like I’ve just been on a ride of my life and I’m still wondering what the he*l just happened. This is a hard review to write without giving anything away from Just An Illusion Side A and believe me you if you haven’t you want to grab this one and read it right away because you don’t want to miss out on one of the best rock romance books out there. Ms. Kelly puts you front and center in the lives of the members of the rock band Bastards and Dangerous (BAD). This book…this series…draws you and doesn’t give you a moments peace because it takes you emotionally, has you possibly choosing sides of twin against twin, and shocks the he*l out of you. This is a book you better have time for because once you start, you won’t want to put it down. So do yourself a favor and grab this outstanding book and begin it with reading Just An Illusion Side A. There are books that you read and like, there are books that you read and love ~ and then there are books that stay with you long after you finish them.  Just An Illusion (Side A, Side B, and EP) is one of those books that stay. This story is so much more than a rock romance, or I should say its also a rock romance.  Just An Illusion explores how we see the world based on our experiences and how those perceptions are not always what are actually there. It also takes on fate and why things happen and if there is always a reason for them.

Amelia Greyson is a writer whose first book made it to the bestseller list. When her best friend, Belle a blogger with a rock magazine, gets an exclusive interview with the hottest band, Bastards and Dangerous (BAD) Amelia tags along.  It is just fate that not only do sparks ignite for band member Noah but the band is looking for someone to write their biography.  Amelia agrees to tour with them for a year to learn all about them but is determined to remain professional with no personal entanglements but fate has other ideas.

D. Kelly's Amelia is a woman who is jaded and walled off but still has a tiny flicker of hope buried beneath years of built-up frost.   Through new experiences, she finds that love comes in many forms, that it is patient and kind, something she didn't believe before Noah.    Noah is a man with every material thing the world has to offer at his fingertips but is looking for those less tangible; connections, passion, the future his mind craves.  Noah could have easily been an obnoxious rocker, instead, D. Kelly made him a man of great depth of emotion and understanding.  The third of the leads is Noah's twin, Sawyer.  Sawyer is the personification of the tortured artist.  Childhood trauma and life mistakes have made trust an issue for him, making Sawyer closed off.  All three of these characters, as well as the important secondary characters of Darren, Wyatt, and Belle,  are wonderfully written. So much so that you can easily imagine them jumping off the page and coming to life.

The first of the trilogy, Side A is the getting to know them all part though it does have its heartbreaking and warm moments.  As Amelia and Noah become a couple and Amelia comes to terms with her past, there is no lack of humor, tears, and revelations.  Side A will grab you from page one and reading continuously to the very end.  D. Kelly's writing is fluid and balanced, her pacing on point, the character interactions versus inner monologues perfectly proportioned.

The second book, Side B delves even deeper into the emotions of all the characters. Each, from leads Amelia and Noah through to secondaries Belle and the rest of the band, role in the story has time in the spotlight to shine and show who they are, giving the story a rich and full palate of feelings.  From drama to tender moments, to humor and heartbreak, this story has it all and it's all gripping and drenched passion and ferocity.

The EP comes next and you will definitely want it.

Altogether, these are fantastic books that I highly recommend.  Get them all in one shot, sit down and devour them, it is so worth the ride.

SIDE A
Holy crap on a cracker!!
I've never read D. Kelly's previous books before and I have only read a couple of "rock star" books. I was given the opportunity to read this book and was looking for something a little different to read so I went with it. I am officially hooked!
I don't even know where to begin to tell you how good this book was. You get from the blurb that there is a rock band and two of the members are fraternal twins (Noah and Sawyer) and that Amelia is a best-selling self-published author who is given the opportunity of a lifetime. Noah is a sweetheart and super-romantic. Sawyer is the bad boy. Amelia is smack-dab in the middle and attracted to both, but who will steal her heart?
I spent nearly the entire book torn between the brothers. Together, the brothers are the perfect man - sexy, rebellious, but sweet and romantic. *Swoon* But as usual, you have to choose.
Now, before you get it in your head that this is just a big ole love triangle book and walk away. Guess again! There is SO much more to this story. There are a LOT of twists and turns throughout the book. Just when you think you know what is about to happen - BOOM! Wrong! The side characters are just as amazing and I hope we eventually get their stories as well.
Now, I need to read Side B...... STAT!!!

SIDE B
I'm absolutely speechless!
I literally have no words. Ugh... where do I start??? This book was a MAJOR roller coaster ride! I'm talking a twisting, turning, looping, sudden drops... make you wanna lose your lunch roller coaster ride. I'm still shaking and just short of snotty ugly crying. (Okay... there was definitely some ugly crying!)
I can't put words together about the actual story-line because I don't want to give anything away. Just know that you absolutely can't go wrong with reading this book. Grab some tissues, wine, chocolate.... all your comfort foods.... and read this now!
I will warn you.... there is a cliffhanger. The next book releases June 21st. If you would rather wait and read it once that one is out, fine. But for the love of all that is Holy.... READ THESE BOOKS!!

Side A

Oh my goodness, I don't even know where to start. This was my first book by this author, and I NEED more. This book is the first book that I have read in a long time that I absolutely did not want to put down. It was also one of the few books I have read lately where I couldn't figure out most of the plot on my own. I have so many thoughts and questions about where this story is going to go. I love Noah and Mel, but I also love all of the other members of the band and Belle. I have to admit too, I am a huge fan of Sawyer. There is so much mystery surrounding his character, that I am dying to see what happens with him in the next installment of this story. This story made me feel every emotion on such a large spectrum, and while there is a love story within the book, it is truly about so much more...family, loyalty, overcoming the past, etc. I CANNOT wait to read Side B. Definitely a 5 STAR MUST READ!!!

The B Side

Oh my word!!! Dee Kelly is seriously killing this series. I am a fan for life at this point. This book has so many ups and downs a roller coaster would be jealous. The book is written in a way that there is always a mysetery/suspense component thrown in, which I love because it keeps me on my toes. This is definitely not your average boy meets girl and they fall in love and live happily ever after love story. I love the interactions between the band members, and I absolutely adore the large family gatherings throughout the book. There is such a welcoming feeling by Noah and Sawyer's famly towards everyone that is so beautiful. This book is the 2nd in the series and a continuation of the band's tour, but added in are some major milestones for a couple of the band members. This book does end with another cliff hanger, but it was well worth every moment I read this book. I CANNOT wait until the next book comes out. I will be not so patiently biting my finger nails until then to find out where this journey takes all of our beloved BAD members and their loved ones. 5+ STARS!

This book y’all. I finished this at 1 am this morning and couldn’t even comprehend what was happening!

I really enjoyed this one! Right from the beginning it grabbed my attention and it never dropped it. Some parts were a little predictable while others caught me completely off guard, especially the ending!
The ending had me completely crushed, and I immediately bought the next book to start!

There were some things I didn’t exactly enjoy though that kept me from giving this five stars. This is a SPOILER WARNING, AFTER THIS POINT THERE WILL BE SPOILERS STOP READING NOW!!!!!

So through the entire book after Mel and Noah’s relationship really starts, every time he mentions wanting marriage and kids Mel panics and says those are things she doesn’t want until well in the future. This exact scene happens multiple times just to really solidify that these are things she doesn’t want right now.
When Noah popped the question I wasn’t surprised she said yes since they had been through a traumatic experience and had grown closer. He even told her that they could wait as long as she wanted to. But then she announced her pregnancy and I was a little mad. And then got even more annoyed when they had a shotgun wedding because of said pregnancy.
I understand these two are head over heals and fall more head over heals each day, but these are things she explicitly doesn’t want and they felt forced upon her.
Maybe it’s just me and I’m being dramatic but I just didn’t jive with those parts.
Everything else though I loved! (Besides Belles end game that was just fucking RUDE.)

I was sucked in to this story from the beginning and when I was not happy when it ended. I wanted more! I needed more.

Amelia Grayson goes to a concert with her best friend who loves the band B.A.D and is a journalist who is there to get an exclusive story from the band. Amelia isn't a fan of them but she goes because Belle asks her to go.

Amelia is torn between Noah an Sawyer Weston the brothers in the band.

This Rocker Story has it all! I loved how the author wrote this story. I think everyone who loves a good rocker story should one click this book because its worth it.

This has one hell of a cliffhanger and I need the next book like last night after I finished reading this one. I personally wish Amelia picked the other brother. I look forward to Just an Illusion Side B early next year
This is book 2 in the series and you need to read book 1 Just an Illusion Side A before this one.

This review is hard to write because I do not want to give anything away from book 1.

So all I am going to say is I was happy to get more of the characters This story starts with how the first book ended. So much happens in this book. It took me on a roller coaster of emotions. I wanted to Throw my kindle and almost did at one point but I threw a pen instead. I couldn't put this book down it is that good.
This book has Happy, and very sad moments. I laughed and I cried. All I can say is I need the next story NOW.

3.5 Stars

I am enjoying this story, however, I am having a hard time feeling the chemistry between our H & h (Noah and Amelia/Mel). I never really felt the love for Noah from Mel. I agree with another review that I feel like Noah was the safe choice and not what Mel truly desires. I feel like as I am reading this story, I am expecting betrayal between brothers and such, but it never happens. I just don't buy this relationship between the twin brothers and this one girl.

This story is about a Rock Band that is ready to retire and have hired an author to tour with them on their farewell tour. The band, BAD, has a set of twins. One is a bad boy and the other is the good guy looking to settle down. Inevitably, the author falls in love with one of them and this is their story.

This is a box set of book 1 & 2 of a trilogy. You must read each book in order. The book is written reflecting back on events and occasionally you get a look into the present time (3 years later). It's easy to tell where the book is leading to, you just don't know how you are getting there until it happens. There is love, steam, jealousy, tragedy and happiness all wrapped in 2 books. I do wish the book was more developed in the story line, but that may have made this book longer. As it is, this is like one long Lifetime story in 3 episodes basically. Off to read book 3.

PS: I am so #TeamSawyer. I just never jived with Noah...

This series is amazing!

Just an Illusion - Side A:
This was the first story I read by D. Kelly and I couldn't drop this book until I finished reading.
I just loved the characters, they are very well written and believable!
I fell in love with Noah and Sawyer, who despite being physically identical, they are at the same time very different. I'm a fraternal twin, so I can understand much of what happens to them.
And Amelia is an interesting character as well, which soon aroused the brothers' interest.
And from their interest for Amelia, the story develops in a very interesting way, and it's very well written.

Just an Illusion - The B Side:
Another great story by D. Kelly.
This book is full of surprises.
Again Noah, Amelia and Sawyer surprised me a lot.
As the band struggles emotionally to get back on tour, we can follow Mel's fight to finish writing the story and at the same time fighting for what's best to her heart.
I was thrilled and suffered from reading this series, but I loved it and I'm anxious for the next book.
I highly recommend this reading.

~~TOP 10 RECOMMENDED~~

Okay readers if there is a book you need to read this year to make you laugh, cry and just really get into your soul, Just an Illusion by D.Kelly. When I first started reading it you think it is just another story about musicians but it is much more. We have Amelia Grayson who in some ways is music royalty but has shied away from her true legacy. Then we have two men who are not just enchanted with her but are making her see that love is real. This book not only blew me away with all the emotions but the curveball that D. Kelly throws in the book just makes you ask Why?. There is just so much in this book that will grab you and your heart in a way no other book will do. One thing for sure is that D.Kelly not only just created an epic romance according to Noah but a book of fate truly working miracles in this book. Loved it.

If I could give this book series a higher score, I would! 5*s does not seem to do justice to the way I am currently feeling having finished this amazing book. It has drawn me in, spun me round and rung me out! I have been completely lost in the Weston boys story for days, I am so happy I had all three books in one. I have locked myself away, and sobbed my way through one of the most amazing, heartbreaking love stories I have read. Invested in the characters, is an understatement. I think I am probably going to have a book hangover for days, if not weeks. I have never read a D Kelly book before, I can promise this will not be my last. Noah, Sawyer and Mel’s story, is not one to be missed.....just make sure you have copious amounts of chocolate, your favourite beverage and tissues to hand. This is a rollercoaster romance!

Reading is what I do and getting lost in books is what I want. Well, I was so lost in Illusions the idea of anything else in my life was just a blur. Time was of no essence because being immersed in a story as enthralling as Illusions was all I needed.

I love Rock Star books. I love books with strong characters. I love books that suck me in. Illusions encompasses all this and more.

Brothers. Twins. Yet they are opposite as night and day. Good boy. Bad boy. And one woman that is caught between a rock and a hard place.

Noah, Sawyer and Amelia! What a ride they take you on. A topsy, turvy ride on an emotional rollercoaster. Who does she pick? Who deserves her? Who does she deserve? The passion, the angst, the confusion, the guessing. A side A and a side B! The reasons you need to read this book set is because there are no words to describe, just words to absorb.

Let me start off by saying that this book was one of the best reads I’ve had in a long time. It was so beautifully written and I couldn’t put the book down. I haven’t read a book that you can in-vision the story that the author is telling. It was like I was watching a movie. This book should be made into a movie. I fell in love with the characters and didn’t realize that from just reading a book could bring you to tears. I don’t want to spoil the book for anyone but it’s books like this that make reading so good. When you can in-vision what the author is saying about the characters and what they are feeling. It’s a must read and beautifully written.

Short review. 3.5 The premise is intriguing but it's the prologue that hooks you into wanting to read Mel's journey, both books are well written and has interesting flawed characters. I couldn't help feeling like Mel choosing Noah over his twin brother Sawyer was more because he's a safer that doesn't mean that I don't think she doesn't love Noah. Her and Noah try to hard to show and prove to each other that they love each other that it comes off a little fake. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

CLIFF HANGER

I detest cliff hangers more so when it is not mentioned!!!!this was a long book, Sides A&B and plenty of time for the birth of Nate.
This was well written not too crass on sex and the guys of BAD were well identified and I felt I knew them. These Rockers are the good ones but this "ending", or lack of!!! ticked me off! I feel like I was taken advantage of and the author didn't have the guts or integrity to be upfront. Doesn't seem many readers could mention it either!!!

This is an amazing series I just can't seem to put down. Four books so far, and a fifth on the horizon, all so real, with "all the feels." I bought the first two books in this "two-fer" set (Side A and Side B) only a few days ago, but once I started reading I couldn't stop. No spoilers, but my heart was broken at the end of Side B, and yet...

I ended up buying both EP and Unplugged because I HAD to know what happened next, despite my broken heart. D. Kelly has penned a series of keepers I'll remember for a long time to come.

Omg

I was NOT prepared for this ending. I am sitting in tears, I just. Too much. All the love and passion that jumped off these pages kept me wrapped up in this story. At first I felt like Amelia maybe gave up her sparks for the safe choice, but as it went on I realized no it was just the right choice. They were soulmates. Sawyer wow what an interesting soul. I cannot wait to read the next book because I feel like for some reason maybe she ends up with him...and in present day she never mentioned her son so I kept wondering where he was. This story is heart breaking.

My love of rocker books runs deep and The Illusion Series did not disappoint. The plot was original and engaging. The story flowed really well with characters that were complex and interesting. There was swoon-worthy romance, all the feels, happiness, sadness, surprises, personal growth, family, friends and everything in between. It was A-MAZ-ING!! I found myself unable to put this book down once I started reading it!

Had to read again!

Books 1 & 2 were amazing the first time! Lots of good feelings as well as others, but overall an amazing 2 books about how love conquers all! Then there was Just an Illusion: EP (book 3 in the series) & OMG! It was so emotional for me that I had to come back & read it all again! There is so much in D. Kelly’s writing that it can be missed with only one read! I’m off to read her other books ASAP!

This has to be the most emotional and one of the greatest series I've ever read! You get the quiet sexy Noah and his twin who is not quiet at all but just as equally sexy. This band is more than just a band they are a family. One woman comes into their lives and their forever changed. Mel knew the life and didn't want any part of it. Her mind was gradually chanfed.
I don't want to give spoilers just know to have plenty of wine and tissues for the ride
