This is the second of the series and I enjoyed it almost as much as the first. Its not earth-shattering or life-changing but its a feel-good, fun love story. The characters are incredibly likable and there is enough tension to make you really root for them to end up together. Sometimes this is the kind of book I need when I just want to sit back, be entertained and feel peaceful. Ready for #3!!

Yes, each book in this series may be predictable, but they are a fast and entertaining read.
Yes, each book may wrap everything up quickly in the end, but the build-up is interesting.
Yes, each book may have a quick "I love you", but it hasn't stopped me from reading the whole series!

Entertaining Romantic Story
I loved the plot of this book so much. Cindy is marrying the wrong guy. And her best friend Jamie is in love with her. I liked seeing Cindy's character grow as she became a stronger woman able to decide for herself . Very enjoyable book.

Wedding on the Beach: Lighthouse Point Book 2 is by Kay Correll. This series is set on Bell Island off the coast of Florida. This book looks into the idea of a perfect wedding and reasons for marrying.
Cindy Pearson was sure her Mother would be upset at the need for paint on the columns of Bell Island Inn. Of course, she was upset at Cindy getting married on Bell Island anyway. However, the places her Mother considered suitable were already booked for the wedding date. Cindy had always dreamed of the perfect wedding here on Bell Island so took this opportunity to make the change. Everything else was going the way her Mother and her sister Vanessa wanted it to. Cindy usually gave in to them on nearly everything. They were constantly criticizing her about her manners, her looks, what she said, and above all, her clumsiness. Today, however, Cindy was sure everything would work out. She was back on Bell Island at the Inn she had loved as a child. Her fiancé, George, had agreed to being married here and everything had already been talked about with the wedding coordinator. Her perfect wedding was on its way!
Jamie McFarlane greeted Cindy at the registration desk. He and his Mother owned and ran the inn. Jamie and Cindy had been close friends when she had been on the island as a young girl. He was excited to have his “Cinderella Dream Girl” back on the island; but not so much so about her wedding. However, her wedding would put them on the map as a wedding destination so he was determined it would be perfect for her even if he thought the groom was not for her.
When Cindy’s Mother and sister arrived, Cindy began to back down on some of her ideas. She became more and more quiet and reserved. They were bigger than life and constantly criticized her. When the wedding planner came down with chicken pox, it looked like her wedding would be a disaster. When the groom arrived, things began to get more complicated. Would Cindy’s wedding be perfect?
The book is beautifully written and was so full of emotion. A box of tissue is not amiss as a companion when this book is read.

Her childhood BFF realized his true feelings for her and he poured out his soul. After several months of soul searching for her true self, Cindy realized her true love and returned to claim the wish she made at the Belle Island Lighthouse.

This is another smoothly moving Correll story. We find Cindy returning to Belle Island Inn, a place of calm during the teenage years. . She has selected the location against her mother and sister's wishes. Her fiance, George, could care less. Cindy for all her life has been treated as someone less: Less pretty, less capable, less interesting .... you get the point. So this journey we find her on, with all of her self doubt, is sometimes a painfully moving story. Like any good romance a happy ending ensues.

Sweet
Childhood friends turned sweethearts in a sweet story. Cindy comes to the inn of her youthful vacations for her destination wedding with George, and meets up with Jamie, who had been her best friend during those vacations. I loved seeing her finally stick up for herself. My only complaint is that I think Jamie only called her Cindy once or twice, the rest of the time, it was Dream Girl. If the phrase Dream Girl had been a drinking game, I would have been on my lips halfway through the book. It really grated on me, but I enjoyed the story in spite of it.

Sweet second book!
This is a great series! I was kind of surprised to find out who the main characters were in this book, but it was perfect! This is such a great group of characters in a perfect setting, I wish I lived there and knew them all. The story was well written, sweet, romantic and hopeful. The nicest surprise was the notes, despite one being from George. It was so nice to see when most of us text, you don't hear much about handwritten notes any more. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to find out who the next character to be in the spotlight is.

Love is. Mandatory
Cindy let her mother and older sister make all her decisions. They belittled her and badgered her constantly. Her closest friend since childhood disliked the way her family treated her during their summers spent at the inn he and his mother owned. Cindy was engaged to George and chose to have her perfect wedding at the beach which held so many wonderful memories. George turns into a jerk!

Another good easy read. I liked the characters and the plot of this story. The only thing I really don't care for is that the author only hints at the age of people. At one point Cindy says she's pushing 40? I find that hard to believe. I wish the author would be on point with things like that. She alludes to ages and I don't like that. I am looking forward to reading the next installment of this series. I like the neighborhood.

Cindy is trying to plan her “perfect wedding “, in spite of opposition from her mother and sister. She’s down to earth, happy at the beach, and they’re high brow, “what will our friends think?” She’s back at the beach inn where she spent so many happy childhood summers. She connects with her best friend Jamie from those summers, who now owns the inn. Her fiancé is like her family, rich and spoiled. I liked how the author wound up the story; Cindy realized what was most important to her.

Cindy dreamed of the perfect wedding and she is on target to get exactly that. She returns to her favorite Summertime vacation spot and has a romantic beach wedding planned. But hiccups along the way help her to understand the difference between the perfect wedding and the perfect marriage. It is a light, carefree look at a woman coming into her own and start to make her own decisions. Great story. Can’t wait for the third.

This book was a quick and mindless read- easily finished in a day or two. The second in Kay Cordell’s lighthouse point series. This book introduces some new characters and features the Belle Island Inn and its staff as an anchor point. I didn’t think there was as much complexity to the story line or characters as the first book. But an easy book to pass some time. The story and chapters were quick to digest and kept me wanting to know how it all turned out.

Sometimes you just need a happy ending. If course there is a little trouble along they way but Cindy muddle s through. All of the characters from Lighthouse Point I are present in this book as well as Cindy and her family. A quick read for a pleasant evening of reading. Good beach book as well.

Loved the Kentucky Connection
Simple and sweet story, building on the established town and characters. This Lighthouse Point Series is growing on me. Continuing the story of Tally, Susan, and Julie along with Reed, Jamie and Cindy and a few other new characters. Looking forward to more of these stories.

The Right Wedding
What wonderful dreams to have for the perfect wedding. However I'm glad that dream didn't work out. I'm glad that she discovered the truth and received the backing and encouragement from her dad. The mother and sister well there are some in most families. I enjoyed the book and am glad of the ending.

Such a sweet love story. Cindy is engaged to the biggest jerk. Jamie would love to be the groom. Will she see the truth before saying I do? She made a wish years ago will it come true? Enjoyed seeing characters from book 1.

I am a beach lover and so it caught my eye right away. This series is so engaging. I love that the chapters aren’t long but at the same time I find it hard to put down. 😊 Just started book 3 of the series.

Another enjoyable read by Kay Correll. I love following the characters who live on Belle Island. Their lives seem so peaceful, always able to stop for a sunset or take a walk on the beach. A perfect life!

A good read
I enjoyed this book. It was good summer reading. The author clearly developed the characters well and became realistic people you wanted to find happiness.
