“She never saw anything like it before. She was amazed, and a bit turned on.”
Mickey was the new next door neighbor. He was secretly a CIA agent, but couldn’t give away his profession to the woman he had to seduce as part of his mission. She just happened to be the general’s daughter.
Laurie takes a liking to him, and thinks he’s just great. Except for the fact that he keeps asking about her stoner of a roommate, who was her brother. This leaves her puzzled and makes her question if something else is going.
Her brother was Mickey’s target. He needed to find out if classified information was being handed over to the Russians.
Mickey needs to find out if Laurie is part of the problem or just plain innocent whose life may be in danger. The only way to do so is to deceive her into thinking he wants her.
But what happens when Mickey actually does fall for her? Will he be able to continue through with the mission? Is Laurie really a traitor? What happens when the Russians do show up and it’s a question of life or death?

What do you get when you are supposed to spy on the girl next door? What do you do when you find yourself attracted to her? What do you do when her brother is a wanted man?
What. Do. You. Do.
Easy, you make small talk, you ask questions, you invite her over, you have crazy hot sex with her.
Oh, wait.
Are you supposed to do that?
Probably not.
Oh well.
This was a suspenseful romance. It was a good story and I'd love to go back and read book 1. I didn't realize I was jumping in to book 2 when I started, but I'm happy I did.
*Audio, audio, audio. I swear it's the only way I'm getting things finished these days. The narrations helped drive the story. I love it when the characters are so well represented. Excellent job!
A very likeable pair of neighbors. They have both things to hide but they also need each other. There is instant chemistry between Mickey and Laurie. He has her brother as a target and she is the daughter of a general. Well to find out how they solve this you have to read the book. The story line is different and I love that. It is very well written. Research and story fits each other. It captures you and draws you in. It is very intense and has intrigues and twists that only makes the story better and you have to read through to know how it ends. I would have liked that Laurie was not that naive and passive when it comes to her brothers behavior. She is described as an intelligent woman so that was a bit of a throw down for me. But else she is a woman that fits really good to Mickey who is very hot! Story filled with action, drama, suspence, romance, lust, excitement and twists and turns that you did not expect. I would recommend it anytime.

Laurie and her brother grew up in a very strict household. After college she never wanted to move back home.
Today Laurie has to live with her brother Karl because her father threw him out. What's this mess? Thank God Laurie has a hot neighbor named Mickey, an undercover CIA Agent who needs to get closer ... Laurie is in danger, unaware... Mickey starts to struggle with his emotions. Is the plan going to work?
I received this Advance Reader Copy & am voluntarily leaving a review. I really got into Mickey & Laurie's story. Wow!! So very intriguing...I couldn't put it down. Kept me on the edge of my seat not knowing what to expect next. Great book.
3.5 rating - Deadly Seduction is a enjoyable read, and I liked the premise, there's some suspense added to this story that I really enjoyed. I would've liked there to be more interaction between the main characters, and I think Roxy Sinclaire could benefit from adding epilogues to her books; I've read only one other by her, and that also didn't have an epilogue, so her other books may have them, but the 2 I've read didn't, and they could've greatly benefitted by having epilogues. Laurie has taken in her idiot brother because their father threw him out, and Laurie is a people pleaser, so despite her brother destroying her house and being disrespectful towards her, she's putting up with him, but she isn't aware of how much trouble her brother truly is. Mickey, an undercover CIA agent, moves in next door to Laurie in order to investigate Laurie and her brother. Laurie and Mickey are immediately attracted to each other, but secrets and drama get in the way of their attraction. As I said earlier, I would've like for Mickey and Laurie to have more bonding time together; there's a lot of internal dialogue in this book, so I would've liked more outer dialogue between the two. They do have nice chemistry, and when they are together, they do have some hot times. I liked Laurie, but she's a bit of a damsel, she's the type that just curls up and waits to be rescued, and she's a lot nicer than I would be, I would've kicked her brother out right away, lol. This story is interesting, and I liked how it played out. I listened to the audio book version of this story, and the narrator did a really good job, so I'd recommend the audio version for this book. Interesting, enjoyable read.
Hmm... this book was a bit airy-fairy for me. For so many reasons. I never felt like I was able to connect to any of the characters. They were there, but that was it. As to Carl...? Really? He manages to hack their dad's computer - a General's computer without sufficient safety and fire walls and whatnot in place despite it containing sensible data (really?) - despite being stoned and drunk all the time - really? I never really felt the suspense, apart from the last few minutes. Also that title seems a bit exaggerated. Yeah, there were a few deaths, but I missed that seduction. Also, this story is told in third person point of view - but how many povs do we actually got? I felt like we were mostly in Laurie's and Mickey's head, sure, but I felt like there were moments where we were in Carl's or even Victor's head too. I found that really confusing with the way the story was told. The narration of the audio book was okay for the most part, although I struggled with how much Laurie's and the general narration voice sounded the same - or how most of the male voices blended one into the other. I did finish the book, which is why I still give it 2 Stars.
I loved the latest in the CIA Agents series from Roxy Sinclaire! When Mickey moves in a neighborhood to keep tabs on the brother and sister who will be his neighbors he didn't expect to feel such a pull to the sister, Laurie. Laurie has a lot on her plate with finishing up graduate school, and now the added stress that comes with her little brother moving in and reeking havoc on her ordered life. When Mickey and Laurie meet the sparks fly and they will find themselves growing closer. When the danger Mickey is investigating start getting closer he will find himself torn between what he is tasked with and doing what it takes to keep Laurie safe. 4.5 stars This was an excellent romantic suspense. Ms. Sinclair brings her characters to life using suspense, intrigue and they can often be intense. Mickey was on assignment to investigate the sister and brother in the house next to his rental. His job was to investigate, gather evidence and report in. When Mickey first meets Laurie he is intrigued and she is stunned. Laurie is trying to deal with her younger brother who learned to expect women to wait hand and foot on males. While her brother was spoiled by their father, who was a general, she was treated like the 'help' and of less value due to her female status. No one expected things to happen as they did. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by this author.
This second installment to the CIA Agents series is everything I expect Roxy Sinclaire to write. Her short novels are packed with well developed characters, some romance and lots of suspense! Laurie has taken in her troubled brother who causes her nothing but angst and craziness. Little did she know what he was really brining her! Mickey, the CIA agent keeping surveillance over her brother and his ties to the Russian mafia develops a romantic interest in her. Roxy Sinclaire creates an atmosphere of suspense and terror with an underlying feeling of gallantry and love. Love this series and look forward to the next in the series.
Piper Fairweather continues to read this series with incredible strength and emotion. She is providing a wonderful narration.
Romantic suspense at its finest! Mickey is an undercover CIA operative sent to spy on Laurie and her brother, Karl. Living next door, Mickey quickly met the siblings and he soon found himself distracted by Laurie. Surveillance soon proved Laurie was innocent and Karl was the one who had made some very stupid decisions and gotten himself tangled up in a giant hornets nest from which there was no escape. The suspense is astounding, breathtaking and captivating. This reader is impressed by the quality of the crafted storyline, the realistic personality of Karl and the honesty and sweetness of the romance. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Five Stars Plus!
Deadly Seduction is a thrilling and fast paced story!
The estranged siblings Laurie and Karl are forced together again by circumstances. Laurie is left in the dark about why Karl is moving in with her and Karl is not bothering to enlighten her. They are fighting all the time because of Karl’s misbehaviour in his sister’s house.
Then there is this undercover CIA agent Mickey next door, hot as hell, investigating in Karl’s case, supposed to keep his distance and nevertheless falling hard and fast for the suspect’s sister.
Add some Russian mobster…. and there you have the most thrilling story ever!
This story started off with a bang…well an interesting introduction at any rate. I voluntarily read this Advanced Review Copy from Roxy Sinclair. I don’t know how Laurie was able to keep from smacking her brother Karl rather than letting him seemingly call the shots in her house. I had wanted to reach through my Kindle and do exactly that, so I can understand how Mickey felt trying not to do so and blow his cover. Most of this story seemed to gel well, but it got a little sticky in parts that had me saying, “Oh come on….really?” Still, it was a good read and I was surprised at the final ending.
**I am voluntarily reviewing an Advanced Readers Copy of this book** I wanted to like this book more than I did. Micky and Laurie are new neighbors, but he has an agenda. Laurie is way to passive with her younger and immature brother Karl and his behavior. He walks all over her and she lets him! So someone as responsible and independent to behave that way was off putting. Micky was a great character, conflicted, but confident, protective and hot. He saved this book for me. I love Roxy Sinclair, but not my favorite
Mission chaos from bratty child causing mischief to Russian mob...action, suspense with romance!
Mickey is a CIA agent under cover to investigate and secure high target criminal and information. Laurie the oldest sister having younger brother crash at her place. Brother gets in argument with their father. Father raised both kids as a single father like the general he is. Through this all action of the mission and still romance still happens. Violence 3, sex2

I read all the reviews of this book and I can't believe they were for this book. I almost stopped reading it several times it was just that uninteresting. You really don't get a clear picture of either main character. The brother was so stupid and the whole plot so ridiculous. CIA working Stateside? The dad's a General and the stoner brother gets sensitive material off his computer, really. I got to a point where I just wanted it to be over and could care less what happened to anyone. Very disappointed.
When Laurie took her brother into her home, she never dreamed he would be the way he was. When Laurie meets the good looking guy next door, she definitely is interested in him. Three people, living side by side each having a story to tell. Their story is filled with romance, danger, and a story plot I found interesting. The story is told in a way that throughout the story you know what everyone is thinking which puts a different twist on it.
Laurie and her brother living together he is a drug addict and her next door neighbor is a handsome devil may care man that is a cia agent that Laurie does not know it but he is under cover to find out if Laurie's bother is selling the secrets to the Russians this is a very hot and sexy exciting read it is a page turner and rocking romance book loved it lots I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Another great book by Roxy Sinclaire! She has written a story of mystery, intrigue, suspense, and of course romance. The MC's, Mickey and Laurie were written to be completely believable with their honesty, sweetness and breathtaking romance. The storyline is great and sucks you in from the very start captivating you and making you turn page after page. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. This is my honest opinion.
Mickey is an undercover CIA agent, and moves in next door to Laurie who has no idea what her hot sexy neighbour is up to. No spoilers this amazing series is a definite must read! This is a dark and intense storyline, which is well written and flows seamlessly. I highly recommend this author’s work for all readers. Awesome job as always Roxy!
Hmm this was a little different to me from what I am really used to from this author. The story is still good and well written, it just seemed liked something was missing. I couldn't connect as well as I would have liked to with Laurie. She seemed way too gullible toward her brother considering how smart she is. Mickey was da' bomb though, lol!!
Deadly Seduction is book 2 in the Secret Agents Series by Roxy Sinclaire. If you like your romances filled with suspense, danger, deception, a traitor, some twists, action, and excitement, then you need to read this book.
I volunteered to review an advanced readers copy of this book.
This is definitely one book you don't want to miss. There's twist and turns you don't see coming which keeps your nose in the book to see how things end I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Deadly Seduction was full of steamy suspense and romance. Laurie and Mickey are trying to decide if they can trust each other. It's one thing after another as the layers unravel. Hot, plot twisting and full of surprises. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Good story with an unexpected ending and a promise of a HEA. Mickey's character could have used a little more definition, but a well edited and steamy romance I'm sure most will enjoy!
It was fast paced .the storyline was pretty good .suspenseful .some of the characters were a real mess. Not your regular happy ending . but overall a good read.
I can accept the story line but I’m sorry, the characters are just too much for me to actually enjoy the book. It was hard to get over how annoying of a man child Carl was and how completely gullible Laurie was. Her brother was over 20 and she was acting like he was a child, she didn’t feel right taking her computer away from him since she couldn’t afford to buy him his own computer or smart phone. She was mad because her father kicked him out and he had no where to go… most people leave home by then so what on earth made her think she needed to support him. Ok, she didn’t know all the stuff he was doing but she did know he was lazy, disrespectful, brought drugs into her house, and raised a hand to her… I’m sorry, I can’t get over her stupidity for allowing/accepting all of it. On a positive note, the narration was good.
