i read this book because i met another poet whose name looked similar to taggart. he was also from SF and is still alive there. anyway i found out htis was not in fact the nice person i first thought but this was someone else and not him who i mentioned before. john's book is really splendid, especially the first two thirds. gertrude stein meets jazz, but somehow repetitive too. repetitive juice. i enjoyed it and would suggest it to anyone who wants to see how poems can really sing and bounce while while not being concrete. it feels amazing
