Gerry Griffiths brings an interesting tale of bigfoot. A couple have their infant son stolen by a group of Squatch. They set out to hunt them down. running parallel is a story about some outlaws that also run afoul of the Squatch group. This book has a lot of stuff going on, it is interesting as a Sasquatch ends up as a main character. No I am not going to tell you if they get their baby back you have to read it.
Another entertaining story by Gerry Griffiths that features Bigfoot monsters. I was afraid this book would be a repetition of the first Bigfoot book that I read by Griffiths. Well I was wrong. The story was really different, the only similarity was a technique I really enjoyed.
There were several parallel stories that eventually crossed and merged. There were some great characters in this book. It was very interesting to get to know them and what led to them coming in contact with one another. How they helped each other. How they were terrorized by the Bigfoot creatures. How determined they were to get a kidnapped victim back despite seemingly insurmountable odds.
The introductions of a big loyal protective Coonhound named Blu and a young smaller Bigfoot keeping a very lonely old man company increased my satisfaction of this book. Three brothers sought to avenge their fourth brother's death. There were a lot of legends about the Stoneclad Mountains, some gruesome occurrences happen as a result. I really enjoyed this book and recommended it to other Creature Feature fans.
A truly good book. Lots of exciting things going on a the same time. Continuity was outstanding. Every thing was explained when it happened, and new people were brought into the story with the same care. You were always up to date with what was going on. I enjoy a story that does this. The book was enjoyable and written with a great deal of thought by the author.
Bigfoot, little creatures, and bad men. A couple is chasing some Bigfoot to retrieve their son who has been kidnapped. The hunt is full of surprises and a fun read.
Was hesitant to read this book. I know, why? Because I thought a story about parents searching for their infant son who is stolen by a Bigfoot would be a little...I don't know, um-Bigfoot-like. I knew it would be about how the Bigfoot female was really suffering from the loss of her own infant and trying to use the human baby as a replacement of sorts. I like brute strength Bigfoot, not sappy, human-like Bigfoot.
However, this story was a pleasant surprise and I'm glad I gave it a chance. Yes, there was the element of that but it wasn't as prevalent as I thought it would be. It was a good story with some great characters. I enjoyed reading it.
