Jax Stone is stranded on an alien planet, a planet that changes him. He now sees pop up windows and receives quests and is being attacked by creatures. Together with his strange companion Kala, they set forth to explore this mysterious new world. They must learn how to play this very real game, or die.
The only complaint I have is in hope you have a plan for the mc's stats and fighting style. He is all over the place and doesn't seem to have a plan/build. Kinda underwhelmed compared to his sister etc. I mean he has so many cool skills and items but doesn't seem to use them to their full potential. Mainly the soulskill for one. Why isn't he using it to absorb information from stuff? Like his sword or something? He could learn so much. And that's just one skill that he's ignoring.
I'm liking this book. This is the typical LtiRPG stories where the user ISN'T locked into a game, but locked into an actual planet that has game like features. It's a pretty nice change for the usual pace of being locked online in a game.
The overall plot of the story does seem to be a bit fast, but not too fast. The characters all top notch. They don't feel flat to me. Even the robot is awesome. There are a lot of quirky references from pop culture, so you'll have fun reading those as they pop up. Looking forward to reading the next book!
Great litrpg! I think it's my new litrpg of the summer. Too notch. Can't wait for the next one in this series. The author does a excellent job creating a great world ?with great mcs.
A few complaints: -Epic loot found too eArly -Obvious no one edited the book. At a minimum please have even a friend read book 2 and catch blatant missing words and obvious errors.
The length to cost ratio is too low for me. The writing is at a level typically aimed at young adults. Despite this it was well written and quite enjoyable. Worth killing some time with if you came across it on ku.
I enjoyed this book. I think the author is going to grow in his craft. I like how he blended D & D characters like the war forged into his book. I will definitely read the series.
Great book. I would have liked it to be longer, and for the background to have been more gradually revealed, but it was still a great read. I can't wait for the next one.
Editing is important! Unfortunately to many great stories are reduced to good or decent stories from a lack of editing. This is one of those books. I recommend this book, but I want you in advance that it has a lot of errors.
