I got to 81% and stopped. I had put myself through enough. At about 50% I was only reading the quotes. I couldn't relate to either of the characters. I thought I would love it because I usually like a younger and older person relationship but not this one. Steve went from one abuse relationship to another in my opinion. He states that he his more mature but doesn't demonstrate it. James who is the older of the two is basically an ass. Can't stand him. As a coach he has no ethics. The person I like the most is Dennis and as a best friend he keeps getting treated like crap. The other part I have a a hard time with is Steven saying how much he loves his little brother but constantly leaving him with his best friend just so he can get laid. Not a fan.
There are lots of problems and secrets in this book, coming up one by one and turning into a new problem. It does take something from the story in my eyes. Especially since Steve forgives him almost directly after James gets the change to explain why he didn't tell about it before.
There are some extra stories to read after this one, but I didn't read all of them.
I enjoyed this story. I liked the characters, and the storyline was great. It was well written, and I can't wait to read another one of Jamie Lake's books.
