Thank you to narrator Lacy Laurel for giving me credit for an audiobook in return for an honest review.
Filthy Cam Girl follows Ashley, a teenage college girl who earns a little extra money by being one of the top girls on 'DaddyLand'. When she gets kidnapped and held captive by her favorite customer she is shocked to find out that he is her first crush...her best friend's father.
I wasn't really sure what I'd think of this story, girl and best friend's dad doesn't really work well in my head, I struggle with stories that have a ten year age gap, let alone twenty/thirty years. However, it didn't really focus on that, it was more about the connection and attraction between them and it was so well written that fact was overlooked.
As someone who doesn't really like dom/sub stories, I enjoyed this one as it wasn't really focusing on the BDSM parts. It was more about the introduction and trust.
It was a nice short story, it didn't really delve into backstories like I maybe would have liked but it didn't need it. The focus was completely on the two main characters and their passion.
The characters were actually quite likable, which surprised me. As disturbing as the thought of the relationship was, I was hoping for them both to end happily.
This is the third audiobook that Lacy Laurel has narrated that I've read. I really like her reading style, she portrays the story very well and really sucks you into what's going on. She's got a very calming but sultry voice which really works for the steamy books that I've listened to her read.
Things like Ashley's boyfriend would get forgotten once they were no longer relevant. I would have liked a little more conflict when Ashley went back from Drake's place.
This really does portray the book as a filthy, smutty story, it's actually not that bad. The hot scenes were very sexy but quite infrequent, but it did work.

Once again JB manages to hook us in to a dark and sexy world that keeps us twisting and turning as she reveals all her plot elements and gives her readers exactly what they are looking for - a steamy, romance novel with a HEA.
Ashley is a young woman fighting to get free of her hurts of the past and move on with her future but unable to explore fully her curiosities in the 'real world'. On line she is a sexy virgin who is wanted but life is kept at arm's reach...that is until she engages in more than entertainment with one particularly intriguing and sensitive client, Big Sir!
Big Sir, or Drake is the older man who has been watching Ashley from afar since she was a little girl. Also marred by tragedy, Drake battles with his sadness and his own feelings of denial when he realises that he has feelings beyond that which society says is right.....yet somehow he can't resist.
Together they travel down a path of darkness but find that despite everything, they genuinely love and need each other and that is what counts.
The sex between them is hot and steamy and JB manages to keep us simmering throughout the book. It's not really too dark in terms of JB having certainly written darker but, the sad events of the past and the sinister way these two eventually meet and get together is intentionally secretive and could be difficult for those who find this triggering and/or disturbing.
That being said, I really enjoyed this story and as always JB doesn't disappoint.

AUDIOBOOK VERSION:
Narration: The narration on this book was great. Lacey and Logan both did a great job with their characters. Production was seamless.
Story: I love a fun read. This read had it's moments where you say "really?" being the scene is not super believable but i don't normally hold that again a romance read. I am reading it for entertainment and it definitely provided that.

This book was about a freshman college girl who had recently lost both her best friend and her parents. She felt alone and secluded. She decided to try cam girling for extra money and for the interaction. She had several regulars but one in particular that she really liked. She decided to meet him one night only to be kidnapped by him which she was totally fine with as she like him. (insert my "really?") Little does she know the kidnapper/customer is someone she knows. I will leave it at that because i don't want to spoil too much but i can promise a HEA which is very important to me.

Steamy, interesting, but not really believable most of the time. For starters, having a thing for her friends' dad is one thing, but seeing this man being intimate with his wife as a teenager ... I really had my problems with that. And I'm far from a prude, lol. Then Drake. Of course he also has an unhealthy obsession with now 18-year-old Ashley, down to installing cameras in her room like some creep without her knowledge. No matter his reasons behind that action ... just ...ooof! Filthy hermit that Ashley is, she is using a cam sites to do everything her "daddies" tell her to do - one of those men of course being Drake... And then there's the kidnapping I just don't get. It wasn't neccessary. At. All. All of this made it hard for me to establish a real connection to either of the characters.
The narrators are a good fit for each character, especially Logan McAllister whose narration makes it even filthier. Lacy Laurel's voice is kind of nasal, which, for some reason, I always find make the characters sound arrogant without even meaning to.
FILTHY CAM GIRL is well written and delivers some serious dirty, filthy scenes which makes this a hot little listen.

This one had a bit of a different story line going. Cam girl and introvert Ashley is dreaming of SIR, one of her main clients. SIR (Drake) has some serious stalker tendencies. SIR has known Ashley all his life but Ashley is unaware of who SIR really is.
I was instantly intrigued by this story but I could help but get a little upset. They kept talking about an accident and her best friend, you don't get that story until almost the end of the book. You kept hearing how he wanted to keep her from harming herself but never learn until much later why.
Once the pair meet, it's gets good and sexy. Drake doesn't think things through to well. The story ended on a good note but a bit blah for me. Yes, there was some growth for the pair but it just seemed like it all just feel into place.

This is an interesting standalone novella. I really liked some of the moments, but at times the dialogue seemed a bit forced. So in summary, Ashley performs for men on camera and lives a pretty isolated life. She doesn’t realize it, but she has caught the eye of Drake who is not only her favorite customer on Daddyland but also a close family friend. Finally, he makes a move to show her what she means to him, but will she object to his methods?
So I didn’t have a problem with the way Drake takes control of her and his obsession with her, but the way things happen after she finds out its him didn’t really keep me interested. The ending fell a bit short for me.

This book wasn't exactly what I was expecting it to be. There were a lot of twists and turns with the relationship Drake had with Ashley from the time she was a young girl, when she was best friends with his daughter. Being eighteen and totally alone after the death of her parents and best friend, Ashley is somewhat of a recluse, preferring to stay in her room for the most part, only attending classes sporadically. Ms. Duvane has a way with writing dark tales that keep you interested and on the edge of your seat, without making you feel disgusted. Well worth the price and the time to read.

Ashley and Drake are a neat combination Ashley is the same age as is daughter and he is the Dean at the College but he watches at night on the internet a place called the Daddyland and there is Ashley on the camera playing up to the camera and being the naughty girl and she does not know that I am watching her but she will I am going to take her and bring her to my house and keep her tie her up and take her virginity that one thing that she has not give up on camera I am a bad man but I am going to take care of her one way or another oh yeah lol. I love JB Duvane's books. They always have an edge and twist to them. They are a little darker but they are so tastefully written. This one is no different and is just as edgy and keeps you guessing all throughout the book. It has that darker side but keeps it in the love side as well. It has so many twists and turns that you don't see them coming and you tell yourself shut up I didn't see that coming. You can't put it down until you get to the end of it. You have to know what happens and where is it going. I loved Ashley and Drake's characters. They have so much chemistry that you can feel it coming off the pages, well, e reader. LOL. This is a must read that won't leave you hanging. I voluntarily review and advanced reader copy of this book.

I've been looking forward to listening to this book for a while and it was well worth the wait (but you don't have to wait).
The romance is dark and yet somehow sweet, the intimacy is hot and so much fun to listen to. The characters are beautifully crafted and their chemistry is off the charts.
This story made me experience a whole range of emotions and kept me enthralled from beginning to end.
The dual narration worked really well, the character voices were well done and the delivery was a great match for the story.

If I could have left zero stars & still alerted you all to this book I would have.
I think I feel more aggravated because I had to actually pay to read this- at least until I gave up on it. The sample I downloaded showed such promise, but then the rest of the book was trash.
Maybe that’s why I’m so mad…. I feel cheated by the system!
The chemistry was flat. The plot holes are huge. Everything is done to death & the smut that I was so heavily promised is pretty much non-existent.
It could have been something. I abandoned at 70% when I realised reading further was becoming a chore & I didn’t need to!

Ashley may be a little bit reclusive, but she is not shy about letting her sexual curiosity take flight. Drake is her best friend's dad, and he's one hot dominant man! He knows just how to push her buttons and get to her. This book was seductively steamy with a captivating story line, and the magnetic attraction between Drake and Ashley was explosive. I love JB Duvane's stories as much for the romance as for the story - they have a way of gripping you and not letting go. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I really enjoy JB Duvane all are slightly dark in their own way and really sexy reads. Drake and Ashley have both lost everything and are seeking a way to get their lives together. This was hot, short, and a little twisted. I loved it! So there's a girl in college, doing web cam stuff for older guys but she's never gone all the way. She's saving herself because she wants her friend's dad, even though he's never shown interest in her. There's actually a sad undertone to this whole story. They've been through so much and just deserve a happy ending.

Most of the books I've read by J.B. Duvane I have enjoyed but this one just didn't do it for me. I didn't feel like Drake's feelings for Ashley were genuine and I think he should've resolved shit with his wife first. I know this is going to sound mean but Ashley was all kinds of fucked up. She's almost nineteen years old, a college student (when she decides to go to class) and she's a cam girl on Daddyland. She's still a virgin even though she has several steady "daddy" customers that she performs for she's never actually had sex with a man. She's been through a horrible tragedy and barely survived while suffering a major loss. Drake McDermott is the Dean of Humanities at Westshire College and he's fighting the attraction he has for his daughter's best friend, Ashley who is also a student. Ashley feels so much guilt over something that isn't her fault and Drake feels responsible for protecting her. They have both suffered unimaginably and they look to each other for comfort.

This ended up not being what I was expecting, but still was something that I ended up enjoying even more so. There are some things that might turn some people off, but I thought that JB Duvane did a wonderful job with writing it, that it did not do that. There are lots of twists and turns that I was not expecting, which even made it better. I really enjoyed reading it, and did not want to put it down. I voluntarily reviewed this advance copy, and it well earns its five stars.

Ashley has had a rough time of it. Enjoying staying inside and tempting old men on a computer is about as exciting as it gets. But she's always wanted the one man she can't have, Drake. But he wants her too, and he'll do anything to have her. This is an awesome book! Loved these characters and the storyline. Awesome read! Enjoy!!!

I thought this was a good read and could of been a great read. It definitely needed better proofreading and/or editing. I found the storyline interesting and intriguing but the misspellings and grammatical errors distracted me from the story.

disturbed
the almost complete submission of the two female characters disturbs me. the male characters truly aren't as in control as the author makes clear, but I continue to read the dark and disturbing stories, I think I'm trying to figure the thinking of people who get something from this.

This is a story about Ashley who is a virgin but runs a dirty cam service. One of her subscribers is her best friend's father who is also her college dean. He's obsessed with her. In fact, he has cameras installed secretly throughout her room. He kidnaps her so that he can have his way with her. It's a hot, short story. Very hot, very short.

Interesting, steamy story
The story is interesting to say the least. It is definitely hot in many ways but the story line also drags you in and makes you want to keep reading. This is the perfect book for when you are in need of a steamy afternoon!

Needs proofreading
This book was good, but it needs proofreading or editing. Due to several misspelled words, I almost stopped reading it. The errors, in my opinion, make it 3 star book, but the story was so unusual and intriguing that I gave it 4 stars.

Definitely NOT a "dark" romance or filthy. It's rushed and just strange to be honest. Not much in the way of relationship development, sub/dominant development or anything else. The title does it no justice for the reader.
