The finality of everything eventually hits Kayla; for a couple of years she and Seth have had an on/off relationship, but she really thought this time he was ready to fully commit to her; how wrong she was. How could he do this to her and why did she let him? Now she has no alternative but to find a roommate. Nothing has been going Ezra’s way lately; in addition, Robert is incensed because of Ezra’s involvement with his wife and he is looking for revenge. Stephen, Ezra’s Maker, had turned him because he was strong, clever and a loyal friend, but he makes it clear Ezra has to find himself a bride to keep the line going. When Ezra answers Kayla’s ad for a roommate, a man is not what she is expecting and certainly not one as appealing as Ezra. As the two become acquainted, Ezra claims Kayla as he bride; what starts off as a fake proposal soon turns real as the two form a deep connection. Kayla has a fascination about vampires, but when Ezra finds an article she has written, he begins to doubt her real motives for being with him; is it only the story she is interested in? Also, Seth is not prepared to let Kayla go, so Ezra has no alternative but to move out and let Kayla decide what it is she really wants. Unfortunately, Robert has tracked Ezra down and uses Kayla as leverage and a challenge is issued. Another excellent, intriguing story that was a pleasure to read and one I would have no hesitation in recommending. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

Kayla Clarke's been in a long time relationship with a man she thought she loved but now everything is going down the drain. He left her in a tight situation where she found herself looking for a roommate so she could keep the house she recently leased. When her new roommate showed up, Kay was in for a surprise.
Things turned a little crazy when Ezra told Kay the truth about himself. She was reluctant to let him become her roommate but she was desperate and an idea was forming in that pretty head of hers. Ezra found a temporary solution to his problem. He was also intrigued by Kay.
Kayla and Ezra wanted their relationship to be real he no longer saw it as a way to please his Maker. Just as things were looking up for them, Ezra found something that make him questioned Kayla's loyalty. He was was hurt to think thag the woman he came to love would do such thing.
Ezra needed space while he was away someone from his past came looking for him and Kayla found herself caught in the crossfire. With the woman he loved in peril, Ezra did what was needed to be done.

Kayla has just moved in with her boyfriend, Seth, after being together for a few years. However after only a few days of being together, Seth leaves because he “wants his space.” This leaves Kayla in a tough spot and she needs to get a new roommate ASAP. When Ezra shows up, Kayla is taken aback. As they continue talking, Ezra tells Kayla the truth about himself and she reluctantly agrees to let him become her roommate. In doing so, Ezra finds a temporary solution to his problem of finding a bride. The more time Ezra and Kayla spend together, the more their feelings start changing and they both want their relationship to be real instead of just something Ezra has to do to please Stephen. As Ezra believes that all is well, he stumbles upon something that appears to be a betrayal of his trust and leaves. Kayla is devastated but then Ezra’s past comes back to haunt him and she gets caught in the crossfire. Will Ezra get to Kayla in time to save her?
This is a feel good, fast paced read that enthralls the reader from the beginning. If you enjoy vampire stories then this is one for you. I can’t wait for the next one!

Ezra a very old vampire , who still plays very young sexual games has made his Maker come to an Earth shattering decision ; Ezra must find a mate and Soon !! Kayla a human woman who has just been dumped by her childish boyfriend thinks Ezra is the ladt person she needs in her life, but he does come with the help of financial assistance she so desperately needs , after her previous idiot man/boy left her in the lurch with rent coming due !! So instant fiancee's they become in the way of the vampire, the plan ; to fool everyone into thinking they are truely , madly , deeply in love, but they do to good a job at it and a previous conquest of Exra comes calling, along with her husband , who wants Ezra's head !! Thrilling rollercoaster of a ride and just who will come out on top ? Or just maybe they will come out as mates, read the book to find out . It was a non-stop , page turner for me . 4⭐'s . I received a gifted copy of the book and am voluntarily choosing to leave an honest and unbiased review.

I voluntarily ARC for honest review. This story take place in NYC , Stephen is Ezra's Marker. Stephen is upset due to Ezra sleeping with Lilith , whose husband is very possessive vampire. Stephen also wants to expand his line with new blood. Hopefully , Ezra could find a wife and a new line for Stephen's line. Ezra answers an ad for a roommate in Cleveland , Ohio .
Kayla Clarke works as production assistant at the local news station WBTV for last two years. Kayla is looking for roommate cause her ,now ex-boyfriend Seth had to find himself and can't share the apartment anymore.
Can Kayla and Ezra have their baggage , now the baggage is a total mess. I love and recommend this book to everyone 😆 😙 The strong structure storyline and well developed characters and supporting characters brilliant exquisitely well written . The story is drama rom-com adventure mystery provocative hot streamy sex suspense captivating sizzling chemistry strength of character and captivating from start to finish 💋 💖 . LOVE THIS AUTHOR ANYA NOLAN. She has not fail to write a great story .

Better than book one
Ezra and Kayla's story went by very quickly. I found it to be so much better than the first book in this series. Although, I did find that there were incomplete parts. Such as his maker was not that involved when it gave the impression he should have been. To me, I felt that part should have been addressed.
Ezra is a vampire who must leave his coven for a while because of a indiscretion. He has to move and find a bride and claim her. He finds a human woman who has recently been dumped by her ex-boyfriend four days prior. Now all he has to do is convince her to go along with this plan.
Kayla, has just been dumped by her boyfriend after getting an expensive apartment together. She decides to post on Craigslist a search for a roommate this way she doesn't have to lose the apartment . Then an offer presents itself along with a very handsome guy. Then he is honest with her and confesses more than she bargained for, so now she must make the decision whether to accept his offer or lose everything.

While a mutually beneficial arrangement was being enjoyed by Ezra and Kayla, did more come of it? Read the book to find out. Ezra is an old vampire who has come to the midwest in search of a bride, or at least that is what he led his Maker believe. Kayla is in a bind due to being left suddenly by her live-in boyfriend at their expensive apartment. She goes on the search for a roommate just as Ezra is getting heat after an affair gone wrong. So, he answers a Craiglist ad and she gets much more than she was bargaining for. While out with co-workers, she and Ezra meet up unexpectedly with Seth, the ex. Sparks fly and things get interesting rather quickly. Was this just a result of hurt and need (aka rebound) or is it more? Both are feeling differently than they originally thought the morning after. Move on to a few developments later, and what do you have? I'm not telling.

I received an ARC edition of this book from the author.
I liked Ezra well enough and Kayla is a decent character, but they didn't have the same draw for me that Harlan and Ruby did (from the previous book). I felt like the connection between Ezra and Kayla came across as too convenient. The plot moves at a decent pace and the over-the-top drama was kept to a minimum. The story is not too short (plenty of plot), but short enough I not to feel like it was overly drawn out or scenes didn't have a place.

I hope my reviews for Anya aren't going to start sounding boring because I love every one! This is the second in Anya's vampire series but it isn't a continuation and can be read completely as a standalone novel. None of the same characters are in this book as the first. In this book we have the douche ex boyfriend, the wronged husband to keep the story going. Then there's Ezra and Kayla. Once again Anya creates strong characters that are believable (even if they're vampires 😉). You always want to know what happens to them and how they develop with the story. The story would appeal to fans of paranormal romance and normal romance as it's a story that is realistic and could well happen. Ok maybe not the 'speed-sneaking' but you know what I mean. Another huge thumbs up for this one!

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinions .Vampire Ezra is told by his maker he has to find himself a bride and behave himself after one of his affairs comes back to bite him. Kayla has just been dumped by her long time boyfriend and is on the lookout for a new roommate otherwise shes not going to be able to make rent so she puts out an ad .To Ezra this is perfect he helps her and she can help him by pretending to be his bride. These two find way more than they were looking for in each other and I enjoyed their journey to a happily ever after .This was a really fun read and I would recommend this book to other vampire romance lovers out there this book is fresh and unique .

Kayla has had her heart broken yet again and left to pay the rent all alone. Her boss won't listen to any of her story ideas to make her a proper journalist. So she has no choice to get a flat mate. She just wasn't expecting who she got, at all.
Ezra is in trouble, again and now he has to deal with the consequences of his actions. To find a bride to settle down and continue the blood line. Planning on faking it, he didn't expect to get attached to a human.
Both of them have things to work through and both perfect to help the other. A fun read and a hot scene when they get it on. Ezra is a bit of a womanizer which is how he gets into trouble, but what amazes me is when Kayla finds out and how she acts. Amazing :) so much fun to read.

I enjoyed the story. Kayla is in real need of a roommate when she meets him and his telling her he is a vampire is something she tries to take in stride. Ezra is quite a character and very open and honest about his mistakes. He may seem like a playboy but once he finds Kayla he is not interested in other women. They have this great chemistry from the beginning and I really liked how much respect he had for her. He wants to make sure she knows she is special and beautiful. It is something she never had before. I encourage you to read the other book in the series but each is a standalone.

Ezra needs to get out of NY like yesterday. He made a huge mistake and the only way to save his life and keep his Maker happy is to move to Cleveland and find a bride to turn into a vampire. Kayla is stuck in a bad situation. She needs a roommate desperately and has a job that she is unhappy with. Ezra answers Kayla's ad for a roommate. She accepts the meeting thinking he is a she. But his is open and she decides to give him a chance. I loved this story. It was a well-written, fast paced nugget that can be read in just a couple fun hours. Any reader that likes PNR needs to grab this one. I requested an ARC at no cost to the author so that I could make a review.

Oh Kayla, I know what your ex boyfriend did was bad BUT in a way, he did you a favour. That's how you get to meet your new roommate Ezra. Oh boy, he is one sexy Vampire. He just oozes sexy off the pages. The long stares, the kisses.....yum..mee. Ezra needs to find a wife, order by his Maker. At first Ezra is not too keen but when he meets Kayla, well she is the one for him. A fantastic sexy read of Ezra wanting, needing and protecting Kayla . Little does he know how far he will have to go to protect her due to a past misunderstanding. Oh I do love these new Vampire stories by Anya.

This is one hot steamy read, with lots of action. Ezra is informed he must turn a mate, which goes against the grain. Kayla's boyfriend has moved out leaving her with a payment on the house she can't afford.Ezra volunteers to become a house mate forever. Ezra and Kayla do not get a perfect happy ending when old foes rise against him.
Will they be able to over come the foes that have come for Ezra? Will Kayla really decide to be turned? Why is it so important to find and turn a mate?

A gorgeous hunk of a vampire as a roommate. Kayla's ad gives her more than she ever wanted. This was such a sweet story. Don't get me wrong the sex was steamy, but Kayla is such a nice woman, and Ezra is a hunky, sexy, adorable vampire. They like each other right from their first meeting, but Kayla has to get used to being around a vampire. Her friends were great, and I hope the author has future stories about them. They really love and support Kayla. This book was funny, sexy, sweet. An all around great read.

Plenty of fangs, steam, action and the kind of vampire who is willing to change... for the right woman. Ezra is being forced to find a bride by his Maker all because he has an angry vampire husband in the picture. Kayla starts off with everything going downhill, including the relationship she was in. I love how snarky both characters can be at times in this story, and can not wait to read the next one. I received a free copy of this book and volunteered to review it.

Hot male vampire meets hurting and innocent female. She just had her ex-boyfriend rip her heart out. He leaves her with a an apartment she can't afford but is tied to it for awhile. In comes the vampire as a new roommate. He is such a fun loving vampire. And the fun part is she is more open minded than they usually are. I loved this and very much enjoyed reading it. I recommend it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.

Ezra was a very likeable vampire character who had to find a bride. Enter Kayla who needed a roommate after her on again off again boyfriend left her stuck with a lease on her own. Great flow to the story with Ezra and Kayla's relationship and with the storyline. A few bumps along the way with another vampire coming in to cause trouble. Great read with a HEA and no cliffhangers. I look forward to more stories from this author

This is a fast read that was highly enjoyable. It captured my attention right from the beginning and all through the book. I really liked the chemistry and banter between Ezra and Kayla. Kayla thought she knew the path her life was going to take, but she had no idea what fate had in store for her. Ezra is feeling restless and now is tasked with finding his vampire bride. He thinks he has found a temporary solution being Kayla's roommate, but he is in for a surprise of his own.

Quick read with a bad, bad vampire. . .
Ezra had been a bad boy and his vampire father has placed a small demand on him. This demand was more than Ezra thought he could adjust too. This was just suppose to be temporary, but sometimes there are the best things. Kayla never in a million years expected to be needing a roommate or that that roommate would be of the vampire type. She had a lot on her plate. This was a nice short read that gave a bit of drama, action, and romance.
Ezra had been a bad boy and his vampire father has placed a small demand on him. This demand was more than Ezra thought he could adjust too. I love this vampire series by Anya Nowlan in fact as good as her shifter books are, I think these are becoming my favorites as they are funny, sweet and also have some action in them that keeps you turning the pages. And although it is a series they are completely stand alone, so you don't need to have read the previous book. But I would recommend you do as you'd simply be missing out on a great book. So if you enjoy sweet vampire romance then I can definitely recommend this series.

Not Going To Happen
An ARC was given to me and I agreed to voluntarily review it. My opinions are my own. Ezra's been told by his maker that he has no choice. Kayla has allowed a boyfriend to leave her in a bind. In answering her ad, he became the possible answer to both of their problems. This is a fun and entertaining hot story. Enjoy I did.

Honesty is the best policy
Kayla walked in on her boyfriend Seth packing and leaving her holding down the apartment. He rolled out and this time it was the last straw. Ezra maker Robert gave him an ultimatum. He needed to continue the bloodline. Find him a bride. Only problem with that he's not into turning people all Willy nilly. But he has to leave town fast because he was tricked into sleeping with one of the elders mate. He assumed it was an opened marriage...Kayla put in an ad for a roommate and of course Ezra answered it. It was loved at first sight. Ezra figured to tell Kayla he was a vampire off the bat . Honestly the best policy. At first she thought it was a joke but as time progress she realize it was true. As the days went by and she taught him how to use new technology and they became closer feelings got involved. You know what happens next. Dud dun dunnnnnnnnn....friend meet at bars, kissing get to going on, bumpin and grindin, and whale, somebody has to come in and ruin the fun. Big head old Seth Whitman Mosley on in trying to sway in way back in. Ezra see something and hear summin and instead of asking he assumed the wrong things storms out which in turns his arch nemesis Roberts you know the husband of the woman Ezra slept with swoops in and kidnapps Kayla and then all shell breaks loose. Ezra's Maker is tired of his immaturity and tells him he must chose a bride to show his commitment to furthering their line. He needs a place to live and conveniently finds Kayla. Kayla is hurt over her horrible ex leaving her, again. I don't understand why she is so stuck on a man who treats her so bad. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
