Twelve friends from the online group, Romantic Hearts Book Club, decide to meet in person during a destination vacation to a beautiful Caribbean isle, Enchanted Island. Of different ages and stages in life, these ladies have two things in common: 1) they are diehard romantics, and 2) they've been let down by love. As a wildly silly dare during her last night on the island, each heroine stuffs a note in a bottle addressed to her "dream hero" and casts it out to sea. On Enchanted Island, Clair keeps her engagement to Sean Kilmer a secret intending to tell her friends when the trip is over, but soon after she returns to Virginia, Sean disappears leaving only a note, a stack of bills, and unanswered questions. Devastated, Clair retreats to her childhood home in Emerald Isle, NC and withdraws from everyone except her sisters, Mallory and Darcy, who each have their own serious problems. Ten months later... In early April, after many months back home, Clair sees no signs of improvement in their lives. She feels trapped in tragedy-until a stranger, Greg Prescott, arrives in Emerald Isle. Greg has secrets, too, including knowing about a particular message in a bottle. He has reasons for being in Emerald Isle, but when he and Clair make a special connection, Greg must rethink his plans. Will Greg be the spark that helps the Bennett sisters begin to heal and find happiness? For Clair, will Greg be the antidote to heartache, or the bearer of bad fortune that allows Sean to hurt her yet again?

Clair is one of the twelve women who
formed an online book club, called
Romantic Hearts Book Club. They decide
to meet in person on a Caribbean Isle
where they dared each other to write a
note to their dream hero. The note gets
put in each one's own empty wine bottle,
corked then throw into the sea!!!
Clair does not need to write a note as
she has found her man. She is engaged
but has kept this a secret. She decides to
scribble a note on a business card sitting
on a table, put it into a bottle and toss it
into the sea, just for fun.
Returning to her life in Virginia, she finds
herself experiencing heartache, sadness,
anger and rejection as her fiancé breaks
their engagement. He flees the area leaving
her behind to deal with the bills and credit
collectors.
Broken hearted, broken in spirit and money
broke, Clair moves to the family home on
Emerald Isle in North Carolina. Both her
older and younger sisters are living there. Her
parents both drown leaving the youngest
sister waiting on the beach for their return.
Since this traumatic happening, her sister
has not spoken a word or smiled.
Clair is settling into her daily routine here.
Then a stranger appears. Who is this man??
What is he doing here? Why is he
interacting with her younger sister and her?
What will happen to the message in the bottle
that Clair threw into the sea?
The characters are well defined, realistic and
very interesting plus endearing.
This story is power packed with emotion and
family issues, fear to love again, loss and
grieving, forgiveness, personal growth, friendship
and love.
I highly recommended this well written, heartfelt
story!!!
There are twelve books and twelve authors
included in this Beach Brides Series. Each
book can be read as a stand alone.
I volunteered to read an Advanced Readers Copy.
Thanks to the author for the opportunity. My
opinion is my own.

I'm always up for a Grace Greene Emerald Isle book, and Clair didn't disappoint at all. I love the whole concept of a group of internet friends connecting(I have a group of friends I made on line and we get together two weeks every year), and the whole idea of a bride series is right up my alley.

I loved that this book isn't just a romance, but a book that deals with sisters and family issues.

This was good enough that I started it at 10 p.m. and planned on reading only a few pages. Instead I couldn't stop reading it until I finished it.

No spoilers, but I will say it left me wanting more, especially Mallory's HEA.

This book was provided to me for an honest ARC review. I will be buying my own copy as soon as it is available.

Clair : (Beach Brides Series-Book #4)
By: Grace Greene
Twelve authors got together to write The Beach Brides Series. Each one can be read as a stand-a-lone without any problems. Clair is book four in Beach Brides Series by Grace Greene. This is the first that I have read by this author, but hopefully it will not be my last. I love this series. Clair is one of twelve women who formed an online Romantic Hearts Book Club . They all go on a vacation to the Caribbean Island and all have two things in common, all are die hard romantic and all have been let down by love. .On a silly dare they all write a note and put into a bottle and toss into the sea and hope that the right person finds theirs. Clair thinks it is silly for her to do this because she thinks she has found her true love and they are planning their wedding. Was she silly and was her bottle found by the right person? Will Clair find her true love? The author grabbed me right at the start and I was hooked. I can’t wait to read the others in Beach Bride Series and I know you will love them too.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book , but was not told that I had to give a positive review.

Clair has gone to the Carribean with her online book club, and the girls had written messages in bottles and chucked them into the ocean. Clair thinks it is silly fun as she has already got a good fiance and is living her life the way she wants. Her friends beg her to do it, so she grabs the nearest thing she can to write on the back. Talk about irony as it turns out to be a card for a Divorce lawyer. Fast-forward to now, she is not living the life she had planned as her parents are dead, her fiance left her, and now she is living at home with her older sister looking after their younger sister who is currently a selective mute after being a witness to her parent's deaths. Greg is a P.I and has been hired by a client to find out all that there is about Clair as they found her message in a bottle. It turns out that the client is her ex- Sean and he are worried about her uncovering his past to the world. However, love can turn up in the most unexpected ways as Greg may be the spark to help Clair and her family as he seems to have the magic touch with their younger sister and getting her out of her shell. Is this Clair's turn to finally discover an HEA after her message in a bottle has been found? Find out in Book #4 of the Beach Bride Series by Grace Greene. A story of true love in a bottle.

This is the fourth book in the beach bride's series, each one is different from the last and can easily be read as a stand alone, but I warn you, once you read any of them, you will want to read them all. This one, by Grace Greene, is written in a style that I usually have trouble enjoying, basically because it is an "in your mind's eye style where there is less actual dialogue than thinking type monologues. VERY FEW AUTHORS CAN PULL THIS STYLE OFF SUCCESSFULLY and I Must give special kudos to Ms. Green for doing it so very well! I had a very difficult time putting it down to sleep or eat. The story of Clair and Greg is full of love. Love for family, love of forgivenes, and a romantically growing love between a man and a woman covering all that. It is a beautiful story, not to be missed. Although I was provided with an ARC in exchange for an honest review, what I feel about this story is genuinely the truth and I wouldn't have missed it for anything.

On a dare, 12 friends decide to each send a message in a bottle in hopes of finding their true loves. When Clair Bennett threw her message in a bottle in the water, she was a skeptic to say the least. She had a great job, a wonderful fiancé, and her life was close to perfect. She had no idea how much her life was about to change and how that bottle would be the catalyst that would help transform her life.

This novella was really, REALLY good. I loved reading about Clair’s story and the handsome stranger that she meets who is connected in a roundabout way to her message in a bottle. I zipped right through the book in a couple hours, not wanting to put it down. The writing is excellent, the characters are SO likeable, and the story has depth. Hands down, it was an excellent read and I highly recommend it.

I received an advanced copy of the book, however, I volunteered to write a review. The above opinions are entirely my own.

This book really touched my heart. It’s not long, but there was depth and meaning to the story. It’s a romance, but also about family, sacrifice, forgiveness and hope.

After her engagement ended, Clair moved home to help care for her little sister Darcy, who hasn’t spoken since their parents’ death. Clair was so good with Darcy, but she was very real and felt the mixed emotions of a caregiver. I had a lot of respect for Clair and her older sister and the way they sacrificed for Darcy.

Darcy played a very sweet role in bringing Greg and Clair together. I loved her connection to Greg and the way he treated her. It immediately showed what kind of man he is. No wonder Clair fell for him!

I have been so impressed with the Beach Brides series! I have read four of the books now, and have loved them all. Each story has been unique. I can’t wait to see how the rest of the messages are found!

I received a copy of the book, which I voluntarily reviewed. I have given my honest opinion.

Romance and A Bit of Mystery
Clair’s story has a more serious tone than the first three books in the series, but it is still a fascinating story. She has experienced some major hurts, and she needs healing. Then Greg Prescott shows up, and some intriguing things happen between him and Clair’s little sister, Darcy. It draws Greg into their family as he seems to understand Darcy’s behavior. Of course, there is romance, as expected; but the other part of the story gives more depth to the book. I really liked it, and recommend others read it, too.

Disclaimer: I received an advance copy of the book, and have given my review of the book, voluntarily.

Clair is the fourth installment from the Beach Brides series by Grace Greene. This time the reader is captured by Clair and Greg's story. I love the beautiful and vivid details of the Emerald Isle in North Carolina. There is quite a bit of emotion in this book compared to the previous ones in the series. I wanted to keep reading to find out what would happen next. I would definitely recommend this book. Looking forward to continue the series!

Clair

This is the 4th in the series of the Beach brides where they all are leaving a message in a message on the ocean when on vacation. Clair decides to leave hers blank except for a fake email since she was engaged or thought she was.

When she got back found out Sean had left her. She is leaving with her two sisters and one is young, the lost their parents. Greg shows up while on vacation and they get to know each other. Of course there is more to him than she knows.

Loved Clair and how strong she is. A really good story. I received an advanced copy of the book.

This review is from: Clair (Beach Brides Series) (Volume 4) (Paperback)
I like the premise of this series; twelve members of the Romantic Hearts Book Club meet at a Caribbean beach resort and decide before departing to send individual messages out to sea in bottles. There is something about a secret message launched into the ocean that speaks to anticipation, the promise of hope, and the possibility for new connections.

Each book in the series tells how individual book club member's lives change when the bottles with messages they toss into the sea set off life altering chains of events.

In Grace Greene's Clair, three sisters have returned to their childhood home in Emerald Isle, NC where the rose bushes once full of vibrant blooms are now barely recognizable. Mallory, the oldest, on the heels of a divorce, finds solace in work and caring for her youngest sister Darcy, who's been shell shocked by the worst life has to offer. Middle sister Clair's life turned upside down following her book club's resort weekend; she grapples with the sudden loss of love, livelihood, and her crushed dreams for the future. What once seemed solid in Clair's life is suddenly washed away like a sand castle on the beach when the tide comes in. The sting of recent betrayal makes it difficult for Clair to trust again, and her usually rose colored glasses have taken on a more somber hue.

The familiar, comforting rhythms of seaside living begin to have a healing effect upon the sisters. When Gary Prescott shows up on the island, youngest sister Darcy seems to have an instant intuitive connection with the handsome stranger. He later asks Clair what Darcy's issues are; the author describes Darcy as "lost within the geography of her own reality, in her own mind."

What first seems like a chance encounter between Greg, Darcy, and Clair, may prove more an act of design than happenstance. Greg tells Clair, "I look at you and I see a mystery." When Clair finds the note she never expected to see again had been in Greg's possession all along, her world is suddenly uprooted again. When she learns details about what really brought Greg to Emerald Isle, attraction turns to anger, disappointment, and exhaustion. As Greg reaches for her hand, she reels from the emotional impact of all that has happened in such a short time, until she feels his touch and its powerful effect is instantaneous.

The storyline moves quickly as the dialogue between characters flows freely and naturally. The author's descriptions of the North Carolina coastal setting make you feel as if you are there.

I was offered a copy of this book for an honest review...all opinions are my own

> > Judging a Book by it's Cover < <
Serene beach bride, timeless and elegant setting and font. Synopsis sounds like it'll be an interesting addition to the collective series.

> > Looking Deeper < <
POV ~> Third-person

She was not single at the time of the book club's bottle toss -and- he was not the finder of the bottle. But fate has a way of bringing people together...

Clair starts out engaged, but shortly after her bottle toss, she's left a pile of debt where a fiance' used to stand and no explanation of the how or why it happened. With little other options, she returns to her childhood home to live with her sisters who are both suffering their own heartaches and losses. Greg's an investigator, sent to look in on Clair. What he finds is a young girl with untold stories locked deep in her mind and a beautiful young woman trying to protect and care for her little sister. He wasn't supposed to engage, but they made it next to impossible not to.
I thought CLAIR's plot was unique and refreshing for the different approach. The cast was enjoyable. The lead couple fit well together, even with nothing more than a few [Rated-G] PDA scenes. The plot flowed well and surprisingly contained a depth that is not normally found in a novella this short. The main conflict was resolved quite quickly and efficiently without undue histrionics. There were little to no major points of predictability. The conclusion was solid and very satisfying.
I truly enjoyed reading this, and the previous, novella(s). I'd recommend this to the quicker readers as a lunchtime read, or better... a nice light and clean beach read. Each story in this series has been able to stand well on its own.

CLAIR (Beach Brides Series #4) by Grace Greene
The Romantic Hearts Book Club had 12 members and they met on line but decided they needed to meet in person. They chose Enchanted Island in the Caribbean.
They were in different stages and of different ages in their lives but they all had been let down by love and were totally romantics. They each wrote a note on their last night on the island and put it into a bottle and cast it out to sea! To hopefully find a dream hero!
While Clair Bennett is on the Island she does not let on to the group of friends about her being engaged back home to Sean Kilmer. She realizes that she will have to tell them but she wants to wait till she is back home to Virginia to tell them.
Upon arriving at home Sean disappears. He leaves behind a note, a huge stack of bills and many unanswered questions. Leaving Clair totally devastated.
Clair withdraws and moves back to Emerald Isle, NC and moves in with her sisters Mallory and Darcy. Mallory has been working and caretaker to their younger sister Darcy.
Longer ago the girl’s parents had taken Darcy out for a day by the beach. Their mom had gone out into the water and had issues and was drowning. Their dad went into the water to save her and neither came back out. Darcy was left on the beach till someone found her.
From then on, she has lived with Mallory and now with Clair. One day Greg Prescott arrives and sees Darcy out on the street and he stops his car and begins to talk to her, however since the drowning Darcy has not spoken.
Greg begins talking to Clair and asked her to join him for a meal. Greg keeps it secret that he was hired by Sean to find Clair and make sure she is okay.
Clair discovers a note in Greg’s jacket pocket, which he had left behind at Clair’s home. She then reaches Greg demanding answers.
Greg does start the helping to heal some of the past these girls have and helps them to find happiness.
This book is just a part of this series and it could be read alone, however, I advise you to read the entire series. It is so well worth it and they are enjoyable to read.

Chair: Beach Bride Book 4 is by Grace Greene. This book goes back to being a wonderful read. It is more suspenseful and keeps you more interested. Just before Clair left for the Enchanted Island to meet the members of her book club, she became engaged to Sean and things really looked good. They had a good business and Sean was working on a part that would change the automotive industry. They waited for the patent and then just as the time she would be on Enchanted Island, Sean had to meet with a possible investor. Although Clair offered to stay and help him, Sean sent her on. When it came to the bottle, she went ahead and picked up a card lying nearby and put her name and an email address in it and threw it in the ocean. She would tell the group about Sean in an email later. It was good she didn’t because when she got home Sean broke up with her and disappeared, leaving her a mess to clean up. Clair then went home to Emerald Isle, NC to help her sister, Mallory, take care of their little sister, Darcy. Darcy had mutism cause by watching the drowning of her parents. Even so, her favorite place to be was the beach.
Clair had taken Darcy to the beach and then the grocery store. When it came to going in the house, Darcy rebelled. Since she was on the screened in porch, Clair left her and took two bags in; but when she returned for Darcy, Darcy was gone. She was in the street with a man talking to her, and getting no reply. Darcy would not leave the street until the man asked to escort her to the porch. Luckily, he went along with her. Clair profusely thanked him and learned he was here on business and he was Greg Prescott.
Greg was a PI and was hired by Sean Kilmer, Clair’s ex., to find her. Why does Sean wants to find her? When Greg gets to know Clair, he begins to wonder as well. What will Clair do when she learns out who Greg really is?

When I saw this new series, Beach Brides, I knew that I was going to have to read it. My favorite place in the world is the beach! The sound, the smell, the sun and the breeze makes my heart sing! A Beach and a Bride??? “Yes, please”, says this ex-wedding planner! I have read quite a few of Grace Green’s books and have loved them. This one does not disappoint.
Clair Bennet is no stranger to the beach! We find her and 11 members of her online book club meeting in the Caribbean. She is a good sport when the group wants to send messages in bottles out to sea on their last night together. This group of girls is down on its luck in love and hopes that this will turn it around. Clair is engaged and working with the love of her life – why would she want to do this? So as not to offend her book club besties, she joins in the fun and writes her real name and a fake email address (as one can never be too careful) on a piece of paper, seals the bottle and flings it into the sea.
We meet her sisters, her fiancé, the house, and the beach as the story continues. But, what about the message in the bottle?? You will have to find out for yourself. Once I picked it up, I didn’t put it down until I turned the last page and neither will you! There is one thing left for me to ponder -Which Beach Bride do I read about next?

A fantastic read with book #4 in the BEACH BRIDES series! My first read of Grace Greene's work and I wasn't disappointed. This series just flows with different authors each writing a book.
Clair is 1 of 12 in the book group tossing a message in a bottle into the ocean. After being heart broken by her fiance, she moves back home to help her oldest sister Mallory take care of their youngest sister Darcy. Darcy was there on the beach when their parents drowned at 6 years old, and hasn't spoken a word or reached out to anyone in 3 years. Greg enters the picture with Clair thinking he almost hit Darcy. He's actually working for her ex-fiance as a P.I.. He's not to talk to her but when they meet, he can't help it. He's the only one that Darcy has really reached out to. Greg finds himself taken with Clair but has to follow rules. Once he gets to know Clair and he feels he's done his job, Clair and Greg get closer and good things happen! I loved how this story took place near a beach as that's my favorite place to be.
This is my honest review for a book given to me by the author.

Another sweet entry in the Beach Brides series. When her book club friends decide to throw messages in bottles out to sea outlining what they are looking for in true love, Clair holds something back. She hasn’t told her friends that she is on the path to getting married. In a turn or fortune, she returns home to find out that her love has left, wiping her out financially in the process. A year later, she is living in Emerald Island, SC with her two sisters when a handsome stranger enters her life.

Greg Prescott has a job to do when he arrives on Emerald Isle. He is to confirm and report back on Clair’s whereabouts, but finds himself questioning both his motives and assignment as he gets close to Clair and her younger sister.

I liked that this was not a straight-up romance and deals with other family issues as well. This is the first book that I have ready by Grace Greene and definitely will not be the last. It is a sweet story and had great characters.

Clair's highlighted in the fourth novella of the Beach Brides series, she didn't put her 'hero man' requirements or real contact information in a bottle and toss it in the sea as her eleven fellow romantics did. To be part of the fun, Clair put a fake email address on the back of a discarded business card. Clair already had her 'hero man' and wedding plans well underway.

Mere months later, Clair only has her creditors sympathies, their demands for payment, shattered wedding plans and no money. Clair's 'hero' fiancé and crashed their budding business before he left town. Moving in with her sisters, Clair meets Greg Prescott who develops an instant relationship with Clair's younger sister while he's in town on business.

Clair's card comes full circle in an enjoyable way. Though short the story didn't feel rushed for the most part and the entire series premise was held together with only mentions of the club the outing is complete. It's soft enough for a beach read and layered enough to make the reader care about the outcome.

FANTASTIC!!

I confess I wasn't really sure what to expect when I started reading a book about a group of friends from the online Romantic Hearts Book Club meeting at a destination in the Caribbean known as Enchanted Island. The premise is the twelve friends made a pact to write a message to their "dream hero" and cast it out to sea. Clair is Beach Brides Series Book #4. I must say I was very pleasantly surprised with this superb novella! Greene's masterful characterization of Clair takes you on a beautiful journey into her soul. When a mystery man appears on the beach and starts inserting himself in Clair's life, things get interesting. Greene manages to use Clair's sisters to add depth and allure to her to character. Is the mystery man the "dream hero" who found the bottle? Read this book. You'll love it!! I reviewed an ARC but this opinion is strictly my own and without influence.

Clair went to the Enchanted Island with the rest of the twelve members from their book club, they all put a message in a bottle stating what they wanted their dream hero to be like. Clair however, did not, she put a message in her bottle stating that she already had found her dream hero.

After she came back home her fiance broke off their engagement and she realized that he had another woman. She was devastated. As her luck would have it, her vacation to the Enchanted Island put a chain of events together that would prove to change her life.

I really enjoyed this book and have enjoyed the other two books in this series that I have had the pleasure of reading and can't wait for the rest of the series to be released.

While this is Clair and Greg's love story, a large part of this book was about the love between sisters and the sacrifices we make for our family. I think I liked Mallory, Darcy and Clair's connection more than the one between Greg and Clair, which started out based on her misconception and his hiding his purpose in town. It was actually how Greg treated Darcy that made me warm up to him.
A quick read, and my first by Grace Greene, this was a good read in a very fun and uniquely themed series by various authors. Can't wait to read more!

Next up is Clair Bennett. She had things planned and worked to achieve her goals. Little did her friends know that everything was falling apart. She moved back home to help her sister Mallory take care of younger sister Darcy. Then one day Darcy took off. She is 10 and doesn't speak. She went after a man that was driving down the road. What drew the child to this man? Greg Prescott was hired to look into Clair Bennett. He never wanted to go but business was business. From the moment he met Clair, she owned a piece of his heart. Like all good love stories, you need to fight for the ones you love. Can't wait to start the next book.

Clair by Grace Greene is #4 in the Beach Brides series. The first book I have read by this author. I enjoyed it as I have all of them so far. The most emotional book in the series so far. I especially enjoyed the relationship between sister's Clair, Mallory and their kid 'literally' sister, Darcy. Such a sweet relationship between the 3. Greg wasn't my favorite BB hero, but I still enjoyed him. I loved the ending. Another sweet story.

Family ties, friendship, love, despair, trust and hope are all found in the story of Clair. When friends decide to place messages in a bottle and set them afloat, what will happen to each message? Will Clair's message be found and read? Will she find happiness? Or is trouble just around the corner? This is a great story. I received a copy of this story from the author and this is my personal honest opinion.

A sweet beach romance for sure, and a satisfying story. Clair's friends get together at an exotic resort and put messages in bottles to see if they can attract romance. She does so halfheartedly because she's already engaged. A year later, her heart is broken and she's been conned out of her savings by that former fiance--but someone has found the message she put in the bottle and has come to seek her out. Part of the "Beach Brides" series written by multiple authors on a single theme.

Clair: It was heartwarming, sad and happy! I loved that Grace Greene chose the bottle to come up on shore to the ex because it showed more that he was scum but it brought her a stronger person to fall in love with. That was what really made the story and that Darcy's would come around that it just took time. The sisters were strong and they will always be together. I loved this story!
