As a civil lawyer, I spent many, many years writing complex legal briefs for unappreciative bosses. To keep from stabbing myself (or them) in the eye with a fork during all of that, I also started writing down the stories in my head. All on my own time, of course ;) Turns out, I'm a sucker for hot, alpha male shifters and kickass heroines.

Now, I've thrown away my shingle (er - more like burned it in a fire pit) so I can devote my time to bringing you sizzling, erotic, paranormal romance stories. If you like hunky, bad boy shifters, women who know what they want in and out of the bedroom, panty-melting sex scenes, and edge of your seat suspense, I've got you covered! We'll put the rahr in erotic romance (okay, okay, that sounded better in my head).

The dialog broke this for me. I've never been a fan of sweet endearments from a man, such as "my love".

Title: ➜Wild Hearts
Series: ➜Wild Lake Wolves series #6
Author: ➜ Kimber White

Wild Hearts, is the prequel novel to the Wild Lake Wolves series
This a Long anticipated book- for those of us who started from the being with this series. Mind you all the books in Wilde Lake series are stand-alone.. We all still wondered about how it truly begin for Patricia Bonner & how the treaty made its way into pack law...In this book we go back in time to 1965 when everything begin

➜ Patricia Bonner short of her 19 birthday, who carried the weight of the world on her shoulders. Or at least the small part of the world she knew…

Patsy as most called her pretty ran Wild Lake, & her family owned pretty much over 400 acres of land. She care for her sick grandpa, her drunk father, who completely lost his will to live after Pasty’s mother die of cancer. Patsy also took care of her younger & energetic 16 year old brother Harold..

➜Luke McGraw is alpha in search of safe place for him & his pack, but his huge concern is for his full blooded 6 year old daughter. As she is somewhat rare to their community. full blooded Female shifter aren’t safe at any age

Luke finds himself tore between his pack & the women he seem to be draw to –Luke think by him being in Wild Lake he is putting Patsy at risk. So he believes if he leaves Able & his pack will follow him & his pack out of Wild Lake

➜Able Valent is Alpha & Tyrannous, he wants to claim Wild Lake Lands & Lucia for himself, if Pasty & family don’t submits to him he threatens to kill her whole family

➜We learn how Wild Lake Lands become Sanctuary for all the wolfs that are deem worthy.”-And how it became pack law. No one will ever violate that treaty. But course they will always be someone who will try

If you decide to read this series from the being you’ll read how over the years how few had tested the Sanctuary & how they have try to violate that treaty, but most of all you’ll see how one young women that never stop fighting for what she believed in

➦Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion

Yall. This was really bad, unfortunately.

I finished this a couple of days ago so I honestly remember nothing. But I do know that I did not fun reading this and it was super confusing.

It states that this takes place in the 1960s, which I have no idea why it does. The descriptions in this book and what the characters do has me assuming that this book takes place in the 1800s. Like our heroine rides her horse to town and expects to run and do everything in this household of men. It was just super confusing.

There are honestly way better shifter romances books out there.

Great book, with some angst, as we know their bitter sweet story because they are characters in a linked series. This set back in the 60s, the h is strong and brave, saves her brother again and again, then saves the Hs twins. She is his fated mate, they know it and also know the danger she is in, because in this world, she is drawn to all Alphas. They have to fight an evil OM, as well as her family to be together and some of the angst is because we know she grieves for him, and never had his children. Loved it.

What a great start to a series!

I found this to be a good quick read and I look forward to what else this author has in store for the packs of wild lake. If your looking for a quick read with lots of action, drama and romance then this is the book for you!

While I hate to write a review like this I have to be honest. It's cheesy, cliched and has been done so much that if an author doesn't write anything outstanding it reads like the rest.

Calm Hearts

The wolves in this shifter book are different than any other shifter book I've read. They have the smallest pack and no permanent home. Many humans know about their existence and they don't try to hide themselves. Apparently, they have no money either. Luke and Patricia are fated mates. Luke is the Alpha of his small pack but he's a true Alpha. Patricia lives in a ranch and takes care of her grandfather, father and her brother. There's no back story other than Patricia's mother died when her brother was six. The time seems off. The only back story for Luke is that his children's mother died or was killed. There's nothing about their lives before they met. Why was Patricia responsible for her family? Why was she not shocked about wolf shifters and how was she so sure that Luke was her mate even before anything happened between them? How could Luke have kids with someone not his mate?

The plot is thin and the story moved slowly. Six weeks passed in no time at all. When Luke, his pack, Patricia and her family faced danger, how did the other packs get back to them so quickly. The sex was pretty predictable and could easily be skipped. Too many things were unresolved. How did the town react to a group of people showing up and living on the farm? The wolves are pretty careless around humans.

Compared to other shifters' books, the action was tame. Even the HEA was more a happy for now. This is a prequel so you know other books have been written. I'm not interested in continuing this series even though I have the first book in the series. I'm not interested in any books that came after the prequel or after the series ended. I really wanted to rate it 2 1/2 stars, but it's better than 2 stars. So, I rated it 3 stars but for me this means that I really liked a book but usually poor editing, graphic sex or some other reason caused me to rate it 3 stars. Not so with this book. It's a 2 1/2 stars book.

Patricia "Pat" Bonner has been a fixture in the Wild Lake Wolves series since the beginning. We finally get her story and it definitely doesn't disappoint at all. The Year is 1965 and Patricia Bonner is about to turn nineteen years old. Pat is doing her best to keep her family together and intact. Pat takes care of her Grandpa, her dad, and her brother Harold never doing for herself. All that changes when she meets Luke McGraw. Luke McGraw is an alpha searching for a home for himself and his pack. Wild Lake is home territory for shifters like him. Luke didn't know is life and world are about to be turned upside down because his fated mate is Harold Bonner's sister Patricia. There's only one problem Luke's family is being hunted by a rogue wolf pack. Can Luke protect his family and pack from danger? Will Luke deny his feelings for Pat? Will Pat learn the truth about Luke? Your answers await you in Wild Hearts.

I loved getting this glimpse into Pat Bonner's life! Like many readers of this series, I've been curious to know how Pat's life fit into Wild Lake Pack. The story and characters are rich, bold, complex, compelling, intriguing, real, raw, honest, down to earth, and full of passion. I look forward to my next adventure with this author.

Having read the other books in this series, I was excited to read the story of Patricia Bonner and her brother Harold. The story happens during 1965, and Patricia is just about to turn nineteen when she meets Luke McGraw, pack alpha and her fated mate, searching for a home for him and his small pack. When Patricia finds out that another pack is hunting for Luke’s six year old full-blooded shifter daughter Lucia, she turns him and his pack away hoping to keep the danger from her family. When Able, the pack alpha of the clan chasing Luke's, takes matters into his own hands and attacks Patricia, Luke returns and decides to finally claim her as his. Can Luke protect his family and pack from danger?

A new alpha in town

Patricia had to take care of her brother, father and grandfather and had no time to herself. Then she meets sexy alpha like but has no idea that he is a shifter until she sees his two children shift. Like all stories with the good comes the bad. Luke's pack is small a nd his little daughter is sought after by able, another alpha. Female shifters are rare and considered a treasure. As a pack war starts, Patricia and Harold get deeply involved. Good story...Give it a try.

Great read

Such a wild ride literally and figuratively. I could not put this book down, of course the men in it helped a lot..... Kept a good pace throughout and I plan on revisiting Luke, Patricia and all the Wild Lake wolves again soon. I want to know more about them and what happens to Harold, Lucia and all the wolves. Able was such a delicious villain. Kimber had me hating, fearing and even wondering about him and his past as I wished for him to be defeated. Definitely a recommend!!!

This was a pretty good book. I enjoyed reading it and getting to know the characters. Although, I did want to bash a few heads quite a few times. This has suspense, steaminess, emotions, great personalities, a little humor/snark, strength and courage and a good HEA that sets you up wanting to read more in this series. (I do.) Good for the snuggle-in, lazy day kinda read that will have you wanting to know what happens next. Enjoy

Memories

This is my first Kimber White book. I enjoyed the storyline. Nurturing Patricia. Wayward dad. Aging Grandpa and troublesome brother. I kind of got lost with all the descriptions. Wish there was more character development of Luke and more of his background. This story just kind of plops you into the book with little to no back building. All in all a fun book to read.

This has to be my favourite of the Wild Lake Wolves series so far. It felt much more distinctive from the other books which were beginning to feel a little same-same. It’s really cool to see Patricia and Harold’s younger years and to see some of the things that occurred to create Wild Lake and it’s characters how we know them in the present. 4 stars.

Set in 1965, Patricia is tired of taking care of her brother, father and grandfather after her mother died 10 years earlier. Luke McGraw brings Patsy's brother Harold home after a tussle in town. Looks like the farm will never be the same again!

Good book.

Loved this book. It had strong female characters. Patsy and Lucia were worth the read by themselves. I am looking forward to seeing what the author does with the characters in future books.

Steamy with a great story!

I found this to be a well written story. The steamy portions were moderately graphic and just a small portion of the book. Loved it over all! Very exciting story.

2 star ish

The book has interesting enough characters but it's overly sexual and in a semicrude style I really don't care for. It also is overly cliched in too many ways.
